I just... can't like this game. The game looks great. I love the humor, love how the game plays. The music is 🔥. But the game ramps up from 0 to 100 WAAAY too fast. There are 20 levels in Story Mode. Levels 1 - 6 I have zero problems with. Great progression, mechanics well displayed (both directly and indirectly), overall great. Afterwards? Decline. Levels go from manageable speeds to …

Ah yes, dollar store Parapa the rapper! Rhythm Sprout is such a good time!! This is such a goofy rhythm game that's actually really good somehow. Fun, simple yet challenging, amazing tracks and spot on humor. This gem Is criminally underrated. I have not played any other rhythm games except for guitar hero and Parapa the rapper so this has been a great new experience. It’s got cool visuals, humorous dialogue, and …

I think this is a very fun rhythm game if you just plan on casually playing through the story. But it's a completionist NIGHTMARE. I spent a few days grinding out K-Flow for the Fashionista achievement and eventually got it, but then when I saw the 25 CD achievement and realized that the only way I was going to get that would be to spend the next YEAR grinding the songs out, I decided it was not worth it and I'm …

one of the funniest games ive ever played, i went in for the rythm game mechanics (that are simple but very well executed) but stayed for the story (that may seem silly at first, but made me laugh out loud a lot of times) the songs are very nice, made me flow and bob my head in a lot of the levels beat the game in one sitting, the sugar daddy boss fight was a rough one be advised

Rhythm Sprout is a quirky, rhythmic adventure that perfectly mixes silly humour with legit musical challenges – ★★★★☆ High Notes: ✅ The rhythm-based combat is quite fun. The game combines a unique beat hitting with combat and movement through each level. It's a different take on a rhythm game that I hadn't experienced before and has been a blast to play through. ✅ Varied soundtracks for each level. Different genres …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pure garbage with no controls remapping, weird controller support and made impossible for the brain to react correctly. Colors don't make any sense since they don't match the buttons. Notes coming in the same row is confusing too. One of the worst rhythm games i've ever played.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i want to like this game, is really cute and funny, but it felt like after level 3 i was supposed to be a master already, im certainly not its target demographic, i enjoy not being kicked out of songs for playing poorly, its easier to learn that way, which i suppose is part of its challenge of trying to learn and also not die, but at certain points it felt like the only way for me to succeed was turn on baby mode, i wouldn't mind having more health but all the notes being the same hinders more…

You know a game is good when you have permanent discoloration on your controller from the sweat of getting all the achievements and trying to FC K-FLOW. You know a game is good when your neck and foot have semi-permanent tendinitis by bopping along with the best soundtrack i have ever heard. You know a game is good when you would consider donating money to Rune Bjerkaas who made the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i enjoyed this game a lot, even though i am not skilled enough to 100% the game. I sometimes did wish there was an option to just use the pink and yellow bars without the blue bars as I really enjoy it more without the dodge button. It makes me not like the other songs haha. I sometime go back to some of the songs I really like just to chill and relax. If there was anything more that I was longing for, it would be having some sort of point progression system so that I would have a reason to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rhythm Sprout is a weird and quirky Rhythm game where you play a little onion-headed adventurer with headphones named "Sprout", who embarks on a journey to save his kingdom, on which he is sent by possibly the biggest douche of a king ever. While the game's story has some lighthearted moments – though being a bit too overdrawn and random at times for my tastes – the game is anything but easy or lighthearted. Truly the biggesst issues in Rhythm Sprout is that it doesn't have an indicator about…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The songs were good overall and the game play is pretty novel within the genre. My biggest criticisms lie with the story(which is pretty intrusive), how difficulty is handled and how you gain stars within the game. I think the decision to make stars granted based on both combo and score was a bit misguided; missing one note that happens to be in the middle of the song often results in a 2 star for combo, which feels bad considering you can miss several at the end and get a 3 star otherwise.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is probably one of the most fun rhythm games I've played in years. Hate that there's not a long of songs (30 levels total) and wish there was some workshop support to make your own levels, but there's modifiers like Turbo Mode and a seeded random mode for every level, so replayability isn't an issue at all. Highly recommended for anyone who loves rhythm games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay is like Stepmania with only 3 buttons, mostly only 2, but still gets very challenging! The story is about healthy vegetables fighting invading sweets. The dialogues are mostly cringe humor, very weird and often have movie/tv references for some reason. Even though the presentation is for kids the characters behave not family friendly quite often. The king doesn't care about his daughter, forgets that she exists the whole time and didn't care if she is dead at one point. Even…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is an hidden gem. Great and Funny Story. The tracks are all fire and the visuals amazing. Honestly I bought the game while on sale and was not expecting much, but I got completely addicted. Cant wait to hear more about this development company, this game is a masterpiece.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game, great music and the visuals are straight eye candy but this game is dragged so heavily behind by its awful calibration, no matter what values I set it to the notes are always either just behind or ahead of the beat. The calibration screen doesn't even give a good frame of reference between my latency and whats happening on screen so I have to navigate back through the entire menu, restart the whole level, re-calibrate it and redo the entire process if its not set up properly. Over…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to like this game so badly. The music is decent, some of the tracks are good, there weren't any that I really disliked. It's made by one person or a very small team (I was trying the read the credits and the "where are they now" segment). Some of the jokes landed. The majority didn't though. The writing isn't spectacular, it tries a little too hard to be goofy and it does it all the time. There's no part of this game that takes itself seriously, and that can be ok in some circumstances,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You vs A Suggar Daddy 💥 EPIC!!! "The game has a high chance of destroying your hands"
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Vibe to great music and enjoy the funny moments through story. Don't miss a beat🐸
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Opened "Rhythm Sprout" back up this evening, a game I streamed when it came out in 2023. Got frustrated with the difficulty of the last trophy (playing 25/29 levels basically perfectly) but managed to get the last two I needed after a couple of hours. Satisfying to have the platinum now. Fun game 😘
positive · AI labelView post →Yeah, I'll be odd one out here... absolutely zero of this game worked for me. Nothing against the devs, or saying its bad... there's good potential here... but the execution I hate. Lets start with the positive. It's extremely unique and ambitious. I'd call this a "music JRPG" despite no RPG mechanics (It'll make sense eventually). The graphics are really good, the concept fantastic, and there times were the music and beats felt fantastic. Each stage involves walking to the end of the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tbh it's a really cool game, made me laugh a few time and it's fun to play. Not too hard to understand basically you press four buttons but hard to master
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ll be doing something a bit different this time by doing a run of Rhythm Sprout for NoHA! It’s a fun indie rhythm game with some great music, it’ll be a great time
positive · AI labelView post →An interesting concept for rhythm game: more focus on rhythm than the... music itself. And by that I mean, the songs are split up into section that you must complete before you can move on to the next section, so a portion of the song will loop until you get enough points from that second to pass it. And approximately five of those make up each song. Which is certainly an interesting way to make a rhythm game but not a way I'd recommend, as you end up having dozens of very same-y songs that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/LMMEAgPuuEk Rhythm games are a dime a dozen. Good rhythm games however, are a two dollar bill a dozen…Or something like that. Anyhow, here’s a review of the vegetable-centric rhythm indie: Rhythm Sprout. Released in early 2023, Rhythm Sprout sees you taking on the role of a headphone-wearing onion knight, on a quest to save the kingdom’s princess. Over the course of 20 levels, you’ll tap, tear up over, and tackle a wide range of songs inspired by an even wider range of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short, sweet and absolutely silly. The music is fire and gets stuck in my head all the time! The beats are fairly easy to follow and the controls are very simple. Easy to pick up, sometimes hard to put down.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →thoroughly enjoyable experience. something that stood out to me personally was the synchronized effects that cause the music to rush through my body whenever i play a chart. it makes the game immersive (despite the silly dialogue that caused me to laugh quite a few times). highly recommended
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Superb writing and stellar production. My only con was that the story was short, but there is a decent amount of bonus content combined with the replay-ability factor of wanting to get the highest score possible on each track and unlock all the cosmetics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →now I want to watch Gilmore girls seasons 1 - 8
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO BUY THIS GAME!?!?!? For the controls to be so simple and the story to be so corny it is SOOOOO much fun and so addictive I can not put it down. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun! With a story that might be a little too silly. I agree that it is a little too random at times which isn't for everyone. But the game is too short to worry about any of that. It's nice to have a simple rhythm game with only 3 buttons. While this does make it easy to start the game gets quite challenging. Although you only have to worry about the blue dodge bars if you don't care about score. If you only want to complete the level you can focus on dodging so you won't take damage and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple rhythm game with only 3 buttons (excluding 1 power-up key). Songs are difficult to perfect, but doesn't damage you on misses except on Dodge notes. Definitely can recommend a try for rhythm/dance game fans
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR Above all: FUN. An amusing rhythm game featuring an onion that smashes both enemies and sick EDM beats using 3 buttons. Colorful and clearly made with effort by devs who care. Pros: -The music, duh. There can be gentle, groovy beats, there can be sick EDM head-nodders, and even a few guitar shreds and metal-style drumming. Something for everyone, all of it is very fun and matches the color/tone of the gameplay excellently. -"Easy to pick up, hard to master" with the controls. It's just 3…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just enough buttons to be satisfying without being overwhelming
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll preface my review with Rhythm Fans should give this a go at $2.99 USD. Even full price may be worth it. Simple, addictive, and at times can be pretty challenging considering it only uses 3 buttons (any face button, any D-pad direction and any bumper is how you hit certain notes) this freedom also lets you spice things up a bit on your own if you want too for an added challenge as well as each level having an "Ex Mode" you can attempt after you complete it for the first time that add…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10. Bangin' songs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short & sweet game with funny dialogue, catchy music, & great charts. Timing for perfect notes & getting CDs can be a bit strict, but that gives good incentive to come back & get better scores. I think it's worth the $15 but if you're on the fence, feel free to wait for a discount since they're fairly common.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little Rythm game. The story is all over the place and drags on a bit too long. The textboxes stay too long and the characters like to run the jokes for too long. I had a few good laughs, but this game is about the gameplay, the music, the rythm and how it feels to play! The music is nice, it has many clean tracks that are nice to play and jam with. However the rythm part....? The automatic calibration thing just doesn't work correctly. I did it multiple times, everytime with totally…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/yPVkPVLR70s Chill beats, funny writing, and a smooth visual style provides all the elements for a successful rhythm game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls are very simple but this game gets very challenging by the end. Great music.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute little rhythm game. I absolutely adore that every single note is a step forward or a slash or a dodge. It's a small addition but it really adds to this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rhythm Sprout has really good graphics but a steep learning curve. From level 8 onwards, you'll start getting trouble. VFX for missing completely obstructs the note lanes and restricts vision from the oncoming notes - so you'll keep missing in a cycle. As much as the controls are easy to pick up, I would not say this is recommended as a beginner game to start with. Tried both on the controller and keyboard. Keyboard is not very practical for this game, I would suggest playing it on a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun 3-key Rhythm game with funny jokes and a good story. Gets pretty challenging in the later levels, but definitely not impossible to complete for the average gamer. The Ach's is what took me so long to finish the game completion, with only 1 final song not full combo'd at this mark, i'd recommend this game is worth a try, even just for fun. The music is incredible by the way, love several songs in this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent rhythm game, most songs are easy to complete but hard to master (for three stars you need to perfect about 90% of the notes).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rhythm Sprout is a surprisingly hilarious rhythm game with some very challenging late levels and a cute artstyle and overall fun gameplay loop. If you like rhythm games, this one is definitely worth checking out, especially for how cheap this game is when on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly... If Nujabes was still around - he would appreciate the heck out of this game. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a good time with this one. Short and sweet. Charming writing and visuals. Difficulty curve felt good to me, but I'm experienced with rhythm games. I could see it being too much for a lot of people. Parts of it felt repetitive and needing polish, but other parts made up for it. Cute game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved this game! I enjoyed the music, and the story was cute and funny. As someone who plays a lot of rhythm games I thought the difficulty was just right but some of the later levels could be a bit difficult for someone new to the genre. There is a "beginner mode" setting, but i think this game could also benefit from a practice mode where you can practice sections of songs at slower speeds.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A silly and fun time i'd say
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is really catchy! besides the corny jokes, it is pretty cool and funny but difficulty may be all over the place, if you really struggle at rhythm games. fear not! there is a beginner mode that allows the game to be lenient and have better timing, only use 2 buttons instead of three and have higher life points! if you like bopping along while enjoying a good rhythm or unlocking trophies or skins to play in style game this game is for you! hope they come out with rhythm sprout 2!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This rhythm game has a pop electronic soundtrack with bubbly ultra cuteness that makes me LOL. I liked the sarcastic story and I had to take 100x more screenshots than I usually do, even with it being 4 hours long. I was able to make it through on easy mode, but it’s super difficult. The pace should really be slower by like 50%, even with the same music. I definitely had fun, I wonder if they would make it into a platformer I think I would be even better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seeing 88 hours on a game about a walking onion in a tracksuit might seem ridiculous, especially when I only have 10 out of 31 achievements unlocked. But that is the ultimate testament to how good Rhythm Sprout actually is. I didn't spend almost 90 hours hunting down arbitrary trophies or checking off a completionist list; I spent it replaying the exact same tracks on Turbo and Mirror modes purely because the music and the vibrant aesthetics are an absolute masterpiece. If you are a fan of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly short but soo much fun. Great soundtrack too. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun characters and silly game play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a treat. Rhythm heads should run this one through at least once.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rhythm Sprout: Sick Beats & Bad Sweets, developed by SURT and published by tinyBuild, is a vibrant and comedic rhythm-action adventure that combines stylish music design with delightfully absurd storytelling. From its opening minutes, the game makes it clear that it isn’t aiming for emotional depth or world-spanning drama. Instead, it revels in its own silliness, guiding players through a food-themed fairy tale where vegetables stand as heroes and sugary confections threaten peace. The tone is…
