Oh c'mon this is a fantastic arcade game with a ton of charm and meat-on-the-bone. Yeah, the price is off-putting at first, but I assure you this is top quality stuff. There is a solid campaign mode that helps you learn the ropes in steps. There is an endless mode complete with Steam Leaderboards. And lots of awesome unlockable characters that are largely cameos from other indie games. It's surprising how much great …

Russian Subway Dogs is a really fun game! You play as a dog (or as one of the other characters) in the russian Subway and you have to eat food in order to survive. By Barking you scare the people in the subway who then drop their food. As you try to eat food, you also have to make sure that other dogs wont steal your food. The Game is really fast paced and a lot of fun once you get your head around it! There is tons …

Like any other game, Russian Subway Dogs has a balance of positive and negative elements. Pros -Success requires mastering a technique known as ‘vodka juggling’. -Eating hot sauce and drinking coffee give you super powers, just like in real life! -Miniature poodles are more dangerous than dobermans. -Elk cannibalism. -Puns. -I’m often so busy trying to get new high scores that I forget to eat and starve to death. …

If there is hope, it lies in the Proletaricat. Russian Subway Dogs is an arcade, score-attack game where you play as a dog trying to feed itself in the subway. You’ll have to balance combos, food thieves and other requirements in what can be quite a hectic race against time to keep yourself fed. Positives: The pixel art is just fantastic, really high quality stuff that’s very consistent and really fits the overall …

This is a great game! First of all it has lots of cute dogs, cats, and other animals, which is great! There is a good selection of playable characters who range from cute, silly, or even creepy in some cases. Secondly, the gameplay is very simplistic and easy to get into, but the varying mechanics are sure to keep the game interesting and somewhat chaotic at times! Also, while I am a bit mixed on games referencing …

neutral · AI labelView post →I feel pretty sad giving a thumbs down to this game. It’s a hilarious concept, beautifully executed and accompanied by extremely detailed, high-level pixel art. It’s fascinating how it keeps turning silly cultural stereotypes into actual mechanics, piling up new elements until the screen is filled with the most charming chaos, and I’m surprised it got so little attention, despite the polished presentation and pure meme factor. Unfortunately, the gameplay just isn’t there at all. It is too…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm clearly into this, if not really that good at it. Definitely recommended for oldschool pixel arcade fans.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Video Review: https://youtu.be/E5_m7cQpJCM Russian Subway Dogs is really silly but the gameplay works. I can tell how much love went into making this game. There's some really interesting mechanics with bears showing up and a crazy hot sauce guy that allows you to shoot fire! The campaign is all about completing tasks that sometimes go against gaining score which is a little weird but not bad. You'll be able to go through a level multiple times to work on the tasks and you need to score above…

First time doing an event in Montreal, should be a great time!
neutral · AI labelView post →Russian Subway Dogs is ultimately more frustrating than fun. The constant hunger meter is clearly designed to create tension, but instead it often feels like an annoyance hanging over every run. The game encourages you to build massive score multipliers by juggling vodka bottles, yet every action increases your hunger and pushes you closer to failure. Rather than creating satisfying risk-versus-reward gameplay, it frequently feels like you're being punished for engaging with the game's core…

neutral · AI labelView post →It's a silly simple game that feels like it was designed in the 80's before people really had a chance to see good video game design. Literally bark at people and get the food they drop... really? And you have to grind each level for a few boring minutes until you get a crumb of a new mechanic like another dog that competes with you?! If it was cheap and you're into a time-waster then I would recommend it, but the price makes it atrocious.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disclaimer: My scores/reviews are almost always based on having bought the game at close to the "lowest historical price" on steam at time of purchase. Quick score: 5/5 Notes: Great arcade game with a campaign and bonus objectives if you aren't into pure score attack gameplay. I put this game in the same tier as Geometry Wars 3. Super recommend. Game is fairly challenging if you go for S ranks and all objectives, which I would recommend you do to get the most out of the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cute little game where you're a dog trying to get food for your pack's kittens on the subway. :) Bark to make people drop what they're holding (food for points and refilling the energy bar or vodka that explodes). The energy bar goes down if you bark too much and it depletes over time, so you need to refill it by eating. Vodka can damage you, but also other animals looking to get the food you've made people drop. Your feline comrade gives you tips and instructions. You bark with X,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plays great, responsive, fun, simple system that very quickly grows robust and chaotic. You can play it safe, but it definately rewards taking risks. On top of all that, the character designs are fun and adorable
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*psst* [message for sneaky goblins only] I'll have the Russian Subway Dogs demo setup at the Indie Game Emporium, but if you catch me at a quiet time. I can swap it for a short Goblin Girl Game demo for you.
neutral · AI labelView post →Russian Subway Dogs has a red panda (someone might've been pretty enthusiastic in the past about getting that panda in the game)
neutral · AI labelView post →I think if there was a specific trigger it was probably seeing the rockabilly dancers in Yoyogi park. I remember I was working on some early additions to the original game jam version of Russian Subway Dogs during one of my trips to Japan in the early 2010s. So timing fits.
neutral · AI labelView post →One of the best! A first-rate modern arcade game with inexplicable theming that adds depth on depth with each new level of the campaign mode -- and an endless, proper arcade mode that will keep you gamin' well after bedtime. It feels really tough when you pick it up, so hang in there, squint those eyes, and seriously engage with the game's special ballistics. Because it's worth it. Campaign is a whopping 36 stages in which you collect bones -- used to unlock later levels -- by completing…

neutral · AI labelView post →Russian Subway Dogs is a challenging, yet charming, arcade game with simple, clean, mechanics. There is enough layers here that will have you juggling food, trying to maximize combo scores. Campaign mode is well thought out by introducing you to each of the many mechanics in this game. Objectives are difficult to complete while you juggle around a very crowded and chaotic screen. There is a endless mode too, for those who mastered this game. Visually, it looks great. Nice fluid pixel art, with…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game, it is fantastic. Fun, intense, original. It could have been made by HAL Laboratory as it is an entirely polished experience, is gorgeous to look at, has a great simple gameplay and a nice thought scoring system. I got nothing bad to say about it, no cons. Levels are nicely built with a lot of variety, difficulty is progressive, there are secondary objectives in each levels that makes you think and play differently, you can play all kinds of animals and being in the subway has…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My girlfriend got me this game and I love it. You can see that a lot of care and passion went into this project and I adore every bit of it. You have a lot of characters, the game is quite addicting and I love the soviet humor. Great game! I definitly advise it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has so much going on, it's incredibly satisfying to pull of combos... each level is totally different just based on what denizens of the metro show up, there's so much variety, it's just, okay it's really good yall!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is much better than it looks – and it looks great. If you watch a few minutes of gameplay and think "eh, this looks good, but I'm not quite sure it's worth $15", just buy it. Once you get a few layers deep into its systems, you will discover a wonderful world of barely controlled chaos, with room for many different strategic approaches and opportunities to apply your understanding and skill to bring a disaster back from the brink. At first, the dog's jump might feel a bit frustrating…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is the perfect embodiment of what a good arcade game should be. At first glance, it's an odd, intriguing concept, that seems as though it would lack depth; but it quickly sheds you of those assumptions with its fun ‘object juggling’ system, in depth combo system and risk vs reward gameplay. When you first start out, you just bark behind people and grab their food, but even just about an hour in, you start juggling bottles of vodka to build up a combo, while watching your ever pressing…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like the best games, easy to get into but hard to master. Some of the later levels can be pure chaos full of your barking(or meowing) at humans and competing with other dogs for the neverending food that those humans are constantly dropping. But beware! The bears and elks are out to get you and the babushkas will knock you out with their fish. Fitting soundtrack and cute pixelized animation. tldr: fun gameplay, even if you have 5 minutes to spare
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love that game! It's so cute, the levels and mechanics are engaging and the skill ceiling is high. Soo good!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just a nice little game for zoning out to.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Underrated af. RSD is that mysterious and enticing cabinet you discover in a coin-op arcade and can't help but feed 10+ dollars worth of quarters into, just having a blast. Concept is hilarious and gameplay is tight and pleasantly chaotic. Both the campaign and endless mode are great. It'll get your tail wagging! And make you wanna murder poodles.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is pretty good. i love using my own two paws to gently caress the heart out of the rib-lined carapace of a doberman and then causing an elderly russian woman to go into cardiac arrest so i can eat her chalupa
