Riders Republic could’ve been amazing — the gameplay, the visuals, the variety of sports — all of it feels genuinely fun. But Ubisoft just couldn’t resist stuffing it with microtransactions. 😒 You literally have to buy more stuff just to enjoy parts of the game properly. The game simply won't open. After 2 days of troubleshooting, I am yet to get past the splash screen. The solutions I have tired are detailed below, nothing has helped. - Reinstalling the game itself, and Ubisoft connect. - Installing the game and Ubisoft connect on a separate drive. - Updating windows, graphics drivers, bios, etc etc. - Tried launching the game with a VPN, thinking it was a network issue. - Disabled …

Riders Republic is one of those games that is simply fun to play. The open world is beautiful, the variety of sports keeps things fresh, and flying down mountains at ridiculous speeds never gets old. This game is absolutely beautiful. I love to end my day playing zen mode and listening to some music. so relaxing

Critics, per Wikipedia
Riders Republic received "generally favourable" reviews, according to review aggregator website Metacritic. Game Informer awarded the game a 6.75, outlining that "Even though I liked the racing in Riders Republic, overall, I can't say I enjoyed my time with it. It's a missed opportunity of a game, focusing on all the wrong things, making for an experience worth skipping." Other reviewers were much more positive in nature, such as GamesRadar, saying that it "prioritizes fun, freedom, and community". Riders Republic was nominated for Best Sports/Racing Game at The Game Awards 2021, as well as Sports Game of the Year at the 25th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards.

Regret this purchase. Thought if I let it cook, they would add more. They did, but only if you pay out the ass for it. REAL DISAPPOINTMENT!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wait, wait, wait... You mean to tell me that EVEN THOUGH I BOUGHT THE HIGHEST EDITION AVAILABLE, I STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR MORE?!?!??! Is this what Ubisoft really wants to be known for? Is this what the gaming industry has come to? It's literally an outdoor sports game, and you're going to lock outdoor sports content behind premium currency paywalls even on the highest edition. Well, whatever. Take a negative review. These kinds of practices aren't even worth the time it took to write this…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It always amazes me to see how companies like Ubisoft or Paradox can take amazing games, make them slightly inconvenient, slightly ♥♥♥♥ and slightly annoying and then charge you your firstborn for it. Luckily I have already sold my firstborn for Stellaris so I had to put my liver on the scales too.

neutral · AI labelView post →It could've been an overall great game, if it wouldn't be for greed. I do enjoy playing it a lot. But it has some flaws and a LOT of random hiccups that can cost you matches, even offline. But if I pay for a game, I expect the game relevant features to be included and free. The amount of extremely expensively priced, paywalled game mechanics and DLCs is so incredibly high. It seems like Ubisoft was dipping their toe into the water to see how far they can go. This business tactic is very…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ubisoft has released many games that require constant Internet access the past decade and then just shutting off the servers making the game completely unplayable. This just happened to _The Crew_ last month. This will happen to: 1. The Crew 2 2. The Crew Motorfest 3. Steep 4. Riders Republic 5. Star Trek Bridge Crew 6. Skull & Bones (A AAAA game) 7. Newer versions of Just Dance 8. Newer versions of Rocksmith And more… Pirating doesn’t solve the game being completely unplayable when UbiSoft…
neutral · AI labelView post →I like the idea of the game. The game itself is kinda fun. I don't like everything around the actual playing. Not a fan of battleye (their anti-cheat) due to the amount of data it collects. Also because of battleye, the game is not compatible with the steam deck.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →would be somewhat of a good game if basically everything wasnt locked behind a paywall. just another ubislop game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried the Riders Republic skating DLC and this game is still one of the biggest wasted potentials we've seen from AAA gaming recently innit. WHY is it so committed to having loose, gooey, overly assisted and forgiving mechanics for highly precise and skilful sports. I should love this game but ugh

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After downloading the game, I couldn't launch it. The game requires me to separately search for and download Ubisoft Connect online, otherwise it won't start. I've read the game's reviews and saw that there's a lot of additional content that requires extra payment to unlock, which I don't really mind. The real issue is that even after paying for the game, the whole process is still so troublesome. It feels like installing pirated software - having to spend time piecing things together on my own.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is essentially what you’d get if you took SSX, Steep and Skate, then frankensteined them together to make this. Riders Republic is a very chill and fun arcade sports experience, featuring a massive number of different disciplines for you to play across (there are too many to list). The best part is that it’s entirely optional which ones you want to do and participate in. I recommend trying as many as you can, though, because they all feel different. There’s no “I’ve mastered one, so…

neutral · AI labelView post →I finally purchased this game after a lot of thinking and watching many YouTube videos about this game. Spent 1 night downloading it because of my poor internet connection, just to realize that the game won't launch because it has a problem with the anti-cheat. Spend another 30 minutes searching for a solution on the internet and another 30 minutes trying to fix the problem and still can't open the game. Maybe I'm just dumb, or maybe I feel like every Ubisoft game is difficult just to open…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There’s plenty of other comments ragging Ubisoft for their anti-consumer business practices so let me just point to those as a preamble and say “what they said” … HOWEVER I remember someone on Youtube, maybe SirSwag, saying something years ago that rings true about Skull and Bones. For a big company, they’re taking notable risks by investing so heavily in unique multiplayer games. Basically every other big budget multiplayer game I’ve seen has been trying to compete with Call of Duty or…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →came back to see what's new after after a long time. there is a lot of new content out. but it's all aggressively paywalled. they did the same with STEEP. and i'm not talking about small time fees. i'm talking about you will pay a hundred eur or more to access real extra content. and i'm not talking about cosmetics and outfits. i'm talking about actual new stages in various parts of the map and whole types of sports being locked away. i left disappointed. it was a beautiful game. but not worth…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay is fun. The freeroam is very nice. All of the sports are easy to pick up but hard to master. I like the wingsuit and the mountain bike. Something I don't like are the annoying voicelines of the characters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the soundtrack, the environment, the gameplay, and the community. It’s a shame Ubisoft has neglected the game. As for me, I’ll keep playing it even though it feels like the game is nearing the end of its life
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First I opened this game on Xbox console and then bought on steam too. There is no explanation what exactly attracts me in this game. It is just gives you the most calm and happy feeling while playing. Much recommend everyone to experience it at least once
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love mountain biking, this is THE GAME for you. DH or slope style, it's all amazing. Doing tricks the way I would never be able to do in real life. The control with keyboard is nice but I bet with controller would be an even more exciting experience. Playing this game while you get snowed in, injured, or bike in downtime. My only gripe would be that the UI isn't very intuitive. But that's just nitpicking.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nah the hilarious thing is that Ubisoft has some games that are awesome. **Steep** has incredible mountain design and general design flow to the game, **Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Wildlands** both look really fun especially with the first person mod. Without all the stupid nonsense attached **Riders Republic** is a multiplayer playground for a potentially awesome experience. The **Far Cry** series can often feel like a sports game franchise in that it is hard to point to a single release or…

It freezes up on splash screen and logs game time while game is frozen running in background. I Have tried multiple reinstalls, all fix attempts and nothing works. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played Riders Republic before on my PlayStation account, and I want to be clear: I am not unhappy with the gameplay at all. The movement, physics, and overall feel of the sports are some of the most fun I’ve experienced in a sports game. Because I enjoyed the core gameplay so much, I decided to buy the game again on PC. This time, I also wanted to try the DLCs, since I never bought them on console and only played the standard version. This is where the problems start. The DLC…

Better than Forza in that sense - what other game lets me ride around on a longboard, dirtbike, hovercraft, snowmobile, ice cream bike, or power wheels with nitrous?! 1* for MTX, live service BS. I can't wait to lose all of the vehicles I paid for when the servers go down :D I would've happily paid $60 for a full version with all of the vehicles that I could keep forever. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, this game deserves more credit than it gets. The map is beautiful, the careers are a ton of fun, there's a decent variety of activities, and you feel like a Red Bull athlete. The physics and mechanics work well enough. If you can put up with Ubisoft's quirks, Riders Republic is well worth playing. I must admit, though, as an outdoor rec enthusiast I like having a game that allows me to do the stunts I wouldn't even think of attempting IRL...
