So I finally tried this classic and I have to say I finally understand those people who say that Saints Row 2 is the best one in the series. For a game that came out in 2008 the attention to details is simply amazing. Cool npcs that can do more than just walk and sit. Many nicely made interiors. City full of life, activities and action. For example shootouts between gangs or between gang and police can happen out of …

very poorly designed PC port, but Juiced and Clean Gentlemen Of The Row more than make up for it. Don't buy this game unless you're willing to find and install those packs/fixes. R.I.P IdolNinja

GET THE JUICED PATCH!!! The game is an unplayable broken mess, but the juiced patch turns it into the definitive way to play the game. Also, with the juiced patch, you can even get the DLC from the console versions that never made it to PC.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Open-World Games with Drivable Motorbikes?. I'm looking for good Steam games to wishlist for the Steam Summer Sale coming soon. Mainly, I'm looking for any open-world game that features motorbikes/motorcycles as drivable vehicles. It doesn't have to be a racing game. (Side tangent: I wish Forza Horizon 6, or any Forza game, had motorbikes in it.) Games I already have that do have bikes in them: - Cyberpunk 2077 - GTA IV and V - Burnout Paradise - Just Cause 2 and 3 - Saints Row 2, 3 and 4 -…

Juiced Mod: https://github.com/kobraworksmodding/Saints-Row-2-Juiced-Patch/releases Review - I grew up with this game back in 2009 on my Xbox 360 and have countless memories. I bought this game nearly a decade ago and was discouraged from playing it ever again due to the condition the game was left in. The game is unoptimized to all hell and basic functions didn't work…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For my 100th review, I had to review a very special game. Saints Row 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, and I have played a lot of games. Before I talk about the game itself, keep in mind that this is one of the worst PC ports you can come across. But don’t worry, there is a community made mod called Juiced Patch that fixes almost everything. It makes the game play the way it should on PC and adds several quality of life features, such as uncapped FPS, faster loading times, removing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →for people complaining about the pc port, get juiced patch. it fixes 99% of the issues with it and adds some enhancements too
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →With the Juiced MOD - This game is GOOD AS NEW... if you had fond memories of playing this as a kid, oh boy it's better than you even remembered it. Love this game, love how well it can run in the modern day.

positive · AI labelView post →Amazing game but a awful port. Juiced patch+ Dlc mod (and maybe dxvk) fixes this game to where it should've been.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a very good game but you gotta use community patches to make it work right, Thanks to the JUICED community and to the late IdolNinja for allowing this marvelous game to be played almost 20 years after release

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Without a single doubt in my mind, this is one of the greatest open world games ever put together. Saints Row 2 is just such a genuine experience, with lots of main missions and objectives to do as well as plenty of side activities and "diversions" too. All three gangs feel distinct and unique, each with its own set of characters that have enough depth to give them meaning to the story events. One of my favorite things to do in this game is to just walk around and look at the details in the…

HOWEVER, IF YOU HAPPEN TO OWN A STEAM DECK, THIS GAME RUNS BETTER THAN IT DOES ON THE NATIVE 360 VERSION. I don't know what kind of sorcery they pulled with this ♥♥♥♥, but if you own a Steam Deck, and own this game, PLAY IT. If you don't own one or both of these things, buy them. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is only somewhat related but when I failed my college classes one semester I spent the winter break playing Saints Row 2 and I DESPISED the game. I felt like its jovial tone was mocking me at my lowest and it only made me more depressed as I played if those dozens of hours.
negative · AI labelView post →My thoughts: Everyone should leave a negative review on this game in protest. The Steam version is shipped with broken content, filled with crashes, major FPS drops regardless of your hardware, and other really odd bugs. Using a patch (either Gentlemen of the Row or Juiced) you can fix this, but it's even still not recommended to use the steam executable, which is broken. I had to buy the game on GoG (luckily it's on sale right now), grab the executable from there, replace the steam…

positive · AI labelView post →One of the best GTA clones I have ever played. I recommend installing JUICED patch, as it fixes various amount of issues due to the bad PC port, boosts game performance and adds as well modern-day stuff such as Borderless Full-screen and Graphical tweaks which make it a bit sharper.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I also remember in Saints Row 2 you could choose your gender, whereas in 1 you had to play a dude. Since canonically you play the same character in all four games, this creates a discrepancy. How does the game address this?
neutral · AI labelView post →I’ll cry about it for the better reason. I want a million sliders. I don’t want gender locked binary options. Saints Row 2 was all sliders and that game is positively ancient now. Make a toon look however you wanted with whatever hair you wanted. Then you could make them wear whatever you wanted.

neutral · AI labelView post →No, but also I was never going to buy GTA6. I loved GTA3, Vice City & San Andreas. Played for hundreds of hours. I played GTA4 for a few hours but it never really clicked the same. I also played Saints Row 2 and Saints Row 3, which I really enjoyed and scratched that same itch (those games eventually went a little over the top, but I still had fun.) When GTA5 came out all I ever heard about it was it being "online" which turned me off of the series completely. I think I later understood that…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You need to use the juiced patch, or the PC port is unplayable. I enjoyed my time replaying this game for the first time in years. Has the early 2000s edge. It's the last "believable" gang-based Saints Row game, before it got too stupid and over the top. The main story and cutscenes are mostly realistic and directed well; the only over-the-top things in the game are the side activities. Credits rolled after 12h30m with 66% game completion 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some preamble while it downloads, Saints Row 2 is the best open world gta-like game in history, and will likely never be topped. If you think otherwise, that's great but you are wrong. It also came out at the right time after the gritty, realer gta4, and leaned into the silliness SR became known for
positive · AI labelView post →This is almost as close as we got back in the day to perfection of a lost art, the "GTA Clone", a term I stopped hearing around 2014 once GTA 5 got cemented as an all time best seller, the rest of developers just sort of gave up I guess. The last big game of this type might have been Watch Dogs: Legion, huh. Anyway, this is a classic, controls hold up fairly well, if you install the Juiced mod you`re more than good to go. Check out Sleeping Dogs, too. Always check out Sleeping Dogs.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8/10 gameplay, 1/10 port, so I'm splitting the difference. Love the depth of character creation, love the amount of clothing to collect and the way the game plays with audacious side missions like insurance fraud without flying off the deep end like the later games. But also I was fighting the controls every damn step of the way, even after modding in fixes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, but requires Juiced Patch to play on modern hardware. Also linux native version has horrible performance and doesnt support Juiced Patch so I recommend using Proton compatibility layer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the city was a buggy mess even with settings tweaked and game crashes. wtf happened to saints row dude
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Saints Row 2 was one of my favorite games mainly because you had the option of picking people up and throwing them to fight. I made my character a giant, and I'm pretty sure I played through ~75% of the game without ever needing to use a weapon because I could just pick everybody up and take them out with one or 2 throws. I also remember giving her the derpy face option.
