What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 182 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mostly Positive (2,509 of 3,523 positive).
Players praise the collection for including many classic arcade versions. [1][2] Many complain about extreme CPU difficulty and input lag. [3][4][5] Some note the online is dead and recommend using Fightcade instead. [6][7][8]

This game needs an update, and this is not what one would expect from a 30th anniversary edition, much less from a studio like Capcom. The control layout is impossible to calibrate on a controller. The games are also at their bare bones, meaning that any unlockable hidden characters that you may have gotten used to will not show up. No Eagle or Maki for Alpha 3 as those are NOT in the Arcade version, which is a …

This is an older collection Capcom released before their much better "Fighting Collection" series (which even include better versions of SF2 and Alpha 3 that aren't in this...?) The games work, but they have input lag and online isn't rollback based; which are both pretty major fighting game sins at this point. This is also the only official version of SF3 on PC right now. You know, the game that strongly encourages …

As one of the greatest games ever made, Street Fighter II has stayed with me in all its forms, with Champion Edition still my personal favourite. I spent so much of my youth in arcades and at home on the Super Nintendo playing World Warrior, so having all of these versions in one place is amazing. I’ve always loved the Alpha series, especially Alpha 2, which still has some of the best gameplay and style in the …

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a fantastic celebration of the series and an absolute treat for fighting game fans. Having beaten all the Street Fighter III titles in the collection, I can confidently say this is an incredible way to experience some of the franchise’s best games. The gameplay still feels sharp, challenging, and deeply satisfying — especially with the depth and skill expression SFIII is …

What an AWESOME compilation. I grew up playing these games in the wild, Money to go to the arcade was not something I would get all to often. As an adult getting to play these in the O.G. arcade versions is FANTASTIC! I have read complaints about tight controls and difficulty, It is a quarter cruncher its supposed to be hard. I guess if you didn't grow up playing these versions and don't have the nostalgia link, of …

This game perfected the 2D tournament fighter genre, after first getting the crown with Street Fighter II. The advanced combo system and gameplay, smooth and detailed 2D sprite animation, and player roster size made this a fan favorite of the series. # [Wikipedia Synopsis](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_Fighter_III%3A_3rd_Strike)…

Street Fighter 2 There are 5 different versions of Street Fighter 2 included here, and honestly they're not that different from a casual perspective besides later ones having more characters and introducing supers and stuff. The CPU in arcade mode is a dirty cheater but you can ever quite prove it, and sometimes it almost certainly…

neutral · AI labelView post →As much as I love this collection, with the amount of games present, a museum with all the art and music, as well as a timeline for all the games and their respective characters, there are a few things I need to say. Starting with the games being the Day 1 USA versions, where if you go to, let's say Super Turbo, the Arcade Mode has a bug where the difficulty is very high no matter how you adjust it. In fact, I played Hyper Fighting with the difficulty set to 2 (Which I think is Easy), get…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Input lag ? Check Includes the alpha version and not the zero version with the extra modes and secret characters ? check Works worse than the emulated versions you have for free in fightcade ? Most collections capcom pulled out were a scam, but this one I still like because of pure love for the original games. Never buy this, tho, it's not even worth 5 dollars.

This after enjoying that doc HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER recently. Turns out: I suck ASS at STREET FIGHTER. Embarrassing. Need a training montage up in this. #StreetFighterII #Hoduken
negative · AI labelView post →Great games, no one plays it though. This game is unfortunately dead. I just need one achievement to 100% it and I have to play with myself to do that (I think this sentence is really funny) Feel free to revive this game though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A must for the fans of the Streetfighter series. However, note that these are ports of the arcade games, not the console ones and thus you have to deal with Capcom setting the difficulty to extreme in order to get more quarters out of you as per the arcade version. As such, it loses some of the enjoyment of the console versions as it's nearly impossible to beat.

neutral · AI labelView post →The street fighter 30th anniversary collection is some of the laziest sh*t I've seen in my life and I'd almost recommend sailing the seven sea's over this collection if it weren't for the fact that it's the only way you can buy those games in the modern era. Like seriously, you can tell it's a collection of roms and save states for what's probably an FBA implementation. People in the FGC community tell other people not to play it. I think the real tell is if players decide to leave Fightcade…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Arcade versions of great games, but without difficulty adjustment, it's not a great collection for new Street Fighter players. All other Capcom fighting collections I've played have lots of options. This does not and to be honest, the difficulty feels harder than the arcade originals. The biggest positive for me, at least, is it was nice to play Street Fighter 1 for the first time in a long time, as jank as it feels compared to the sequels.

neutral · AI labelView post →Good collection of classic street fighter ROMS completely ruined by the most unfair CPU and don't bother adjusting the difficulty it doesn't work. Even the SNES and Megadrive versions difficulty actually works! Capcom take note when Street Fighter 1 is easier to beat than Super Turbo you have a problem. Lazy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a miserable experience. Even at the lowest difficulty possible you still get your ♥♥♥♥ rocked by AI that can read your input and does triple your damage and on top of that there is no practice mode or something similar where you can get more familiar with the moves if you are a fighting games noob like me. Only get this if you are experienced with SF games or if you want a taste of that sweet childhood nostalgia, otherwise don't bother with this piece of junk.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're looking for other Capcom fighting games that won't bug you about buying addons, the Marvel vs. Capcom Collection has Marvel vs Capcom 2, as well as the older MvC games. And Capcom Fighting Collection 2 has Capcom vs. SNK 2. The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection has SF3, although I think people were disappointed with that one and I forget why. But yeah, I get what you're saying. I dug up my Dreamcast recently, and it's so refreshing how every game is just... the…
neutral · AI labelView post →I made the mistake of buying this game not realizing that these are the arcade versions . That is solely on me I should've paid attention to what I was buying. Unless you have people to play against this game is not worth it at any price point . If this game was given to me I consider that an act of aggression.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Speaking as someone who has all of the achievements of this collection and has spent my time getting a black belt for 3rd strike. This is probably the worst version to play these games because there is no competition really. The collection is pretty dead, and I wish Capcom could make a new collection and pretend this one didn’t exist. Currently, Fightcade is still the best way to play these games. Honestly, don’t bother playing the 30th anniversary…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only get this game if you're a luver of classic fighting games. Otherwise, the CPU cheats like crazy and I'm not joking about that. You'd have more of a chance trying to beat Resident Evil 0 on hard with a knife only than you would attempting to beat any of these games.

positive · AI labelView post →I have a confession to make. I didn't especially like Street Fighter 2 when it was released on the arcades. At first I thought, why are there so many buttons, and none used to jump? That's just so silly! I found the graphics interesting, in particular its parallax and character designs. But, overall, I thought it was a waste that it didn't play more like Final Fight. After playing it for a couple of times I had completely ignored the game and mostly forgotten about it. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A enjoyable collection, with training modes and difficulty settings this collection gives extra tools to help you get better at Capcom fighting games. The Alpha series are excellent. Play original Street Fighter and the Street Fighters IIs, I can see how hard the games was and why they were classics in the arcades. Street Fighter IIIs fighting mechanics feels very different.
