I think the Mega Man Legacy Collection is a great way to experience the classic Mega Man games from 1–6. Ah yes, good old Rock / Megaman. All six Famicom / NES games in one great package. The "Rewind" feature is excellent, allowing you to exploit gameplay like never before. Also the challenges keep the game, well, challenging, increasing replay value. The galleries are a welcome addition as well. Definitely a must-have for Rockman fans.

Great for jumping in really quick, but I see tons of streamers & youtubers completely miss out on the intro sequences. They're still there, you just have to wait a bit. They're cute. The game has a Turbo mode, Auto fire, Save states and Rewind for people who aren't good at retro NES games like myself here. The challenge mode of this game is brutal, especially if you plan to get all the achivements for this game. Definately worth getting when it's on sale.

Looks like I'll have to rely on skill from this point on, kinda like when I played Metroid: Samus Returns and Dread. The new Extra Armor feature might come in handy, though.

Mega Man is a weird series to recommend as a whole though. I really didn't like the first three games - but each game is a step forward to produce 4-6 which are some of the best games on the NES. I recommend playing in order to see how the series evolves and figures itself out.

It has the same issues, including input lag, sprite-tearing, etc. Yes, these problems existed in the original games, but ports should fix these problems, not copy them.
