What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 160 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mostly Positive (501 of 697 positive).
Players praise the game for capturing the feel of tech support work. [1][2][3] Many reviewers note the game is buggy and has been abandoned by the developer. [4][5][6] Some players find the gameplay loop frustrating and the conversations illogical. [7][8][9]

The conversations in this game are actual dog poo. I helped one person who said no sound was coming from his phone — even though he'd opened the conversation by stating that exact problem. I still went ahead and asked if he'd restarted it, etc., and asked if he had a warranty; he said he had the top-tier one. Then I failed the ticket because I never actually asked him what his problem was. The conversations are just …

TL;DR, Game is boring, gets stale fast. Wouldn't recommend. (Originally it was really short, took feedback and all from here is updated.) The game has a good story from what I've heard, but you spend half of it working a boring office job. ---{ Graphics }--- ☐ You forget what reality is ☐ Beautiful ☐ Good ☑ Decent ☐ Bad ☐ Don‘t look too long at it ☐ MS-DOS ---{ Gameplay }--- ☐ Very good ☐ Good ☐ It's just gameplay ☑ …

this game has the exact feel of doing a wfh tier one tech support job with all the frustration that entails. i rage quit like two hours in for being told i didn't do something i wasn't trained to do. 10/10 tbh

I like this game a lot, but DAMN is it buggy, after replaying it a couple times, I constantly encounter bugs, most notably completed tickets appearing as failed, and I don't get paid for them. After a quick trip to the community hub, I see countless bugs that others have encountered that I haven't seen. That being said, I do recommend this game, but do keep in mind if you're considering buying and playing this game, …

a good story game, encapsualtes the feeling of tech support really well 8/10, pretty good but the different elements add up quite fast, meaning that later on you can't really stop playing as if you forget a small rule you are cooked

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Story was a bit disturbing. There's a part where your mom is sick and your brother is trying to get you to help them. He's asking for money which you can afford to send, but instead all you can do is tell him to figure it out, and he gets mad and when your mom dies you are banned from the funeral? I think tbh you should be able to help. Lost my mom in 2024, and this hits too close to home for me. I think that being a part of the the story of the game is messed up seriously.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay some of the "solutions" don't make any sense. Customer will sometimes briefly say what's wrong, but when you dig deeper (or as deep as you can with the repetitive responses) what they explain is completely different from what they started with. Main story (big evil corporation versus terrorist revolutionists) shows up like once every 3-4 in game days and doesn't stick around long enough to stay interesting. Also be consistent with problem solving. You fail a call they explain why you…

neutral · AI labelView post →I'd really like to love this game, but unfortunately I'm just frustrated. The game doesn't do a great job of teaching you what you need to do as you add more features. I'm still unsure how what to do when an authentication code is wrong. I've had to search the web for how to do things many times and a lot of times there is nothing on the web to help either so I just end up guessing and hoping or doing a bunch of things that aren't needed. I want to see all the endings, but i'm not sure it's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do I want to see how the conspiracy unfolds? Absolutely. Do I have the patience to grind through tech support tickets that only indirectly push the story forward? Unfortunately, no.

neutral · AI labelView post →Another game that I really enjoyed but can't recommend because it's not being updated anymore and there are some glaring issues that should have been fixed. I really enjoyed the gameplay loop especially when everything goes smoothly, but it turns frustrating when someone is being a Karen and refused to pay for service fee, and then you chose to reject the customer, and your supervisor told you that you are wrong because you should have sold a new phone. Where's the logic in that? Fun core…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the game but there are a lot of unfixed bugs you WILL encounter in the game. Dev have abandoned the game since 2019 so they will never be fixed. Keep that in mind if you choose to buy the game. Otherwise, decent game. Buy it if you enjoyed Papers, Please or That's Not My Neighbor
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game. I completed two runs. In the first, I tried to play as “wrong” as possible—intentionally giving terrible support to create the most painful experience for customers. That experiment didn’t last long, though, once I realized all the answers are pre-determined, and you can be fired after failing a certain number of tickets. There’s only so much chaos you can actually cause. For the second run, I played the game as intended: solving tech support tickets as…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the base gameplay loop is very dull, and the fact that if you miss a single thing you're stuck in a nothing playthrough (with no hint thats happening other than radio silence from any of the plot-progressers) until the end is definitely a choice...

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wait I’ve never been this confused. Where do the questions go? I don’t know how to do this. I NEED TECH SUPPORT I AM GETTING OLD AND DONT KNOW HOW TO PLAY THIS GAME I STARTED
neutral · AI labelView post →Game has repeating dialogue with callers (as in they all say the same thing), it takes forever to do anything, you can't do save states so each time you get one ending you have to play through the entire game again to get a different one and the choices don't make sense in certain contexts. Like someone could call about getting millions of dollars and you respond with "How did it happen" only for them to not answer the question and act as though you asked an actual relevant inquiry. The windows…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game deadlocked itself on day 3 (about 20 minutes of play if that) with a phone call asking me for more money than I have, that I can't hang up from, which means I can't advance time, which means I can't open new tickets, which means I can't make the money to solve the problem. Only positive is that at least it happened so soon in the game that I didn't waste more of my life on something so badly designed that the very first piece of story content hard-locks all progression.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay loop itself is okay but obviously repetitive. My problem is the interactivity with the world is so limited. You can, maybe, do some side-work, such as installing spyware, but when the time comes to talk to people it's selecting random commands until you guess the one that moves the conversation along, or replying to an e-mail or not. Combined with how slow the story progresses on top of the frantic pace of the game (really, if you don't have two to three tickets open at a time,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My Occam's razor sense is tingling. I feel like there's a lot of clicks to be had on an article about a revolt at the company making The Most Anticipated Game Since TotK for literally nobody to cover it except Win98 Tech Support on bsky

Sometimes I also bring an iFixIt toolkit but only when I know there will be a little hardware work, which is rare - usually just installing or removing storage or DIMMs in a laptop since the appointments are too short for anything else. 1. USB C to mini USB cable 2. USB 3 Micro-B cable 3. Apple USB C digital AV adapter 4. USB Ethernet adapter 5. Mouse that supports both Bluetooth and a USB 2.4GHz dongle 6. Ethernet cable 7. USB A…
neutral · AI labelView post →Interesting premise but the buggy glitchy nature of the limited responses not matching their documents 'processes' makes the game tedious to play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gets repetitive and tedious quickly Good idea, poor execution. It needs more options and choices. Maybe try for an actual simulation of tech support? Say realistic simulation with problem solving? Add computers, laptops, Tablets and such? It really is a promising start for a game, just needs to be improved a bit. Overall Score: 30 + pi/100
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a cool concept for a game but gameplay gets repetitive real fast as you are forced to grind for money. Several parts of the ui were sloppy and I think this game just needs more work.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →on sale it's a great deal a little buggy and jank at times tho
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're into hacking or computer-based simulators, this will scratch the itch. There are a bunch of different endings (more than just what are covered by the game's steam achievements). There are also some unlockable options to speed up repeat gameplay. The game's biggest issue is that each playthrough is fully independent, which takes time. It would have been great if a feature was added where you could skip ahead to a certain day to make a certain decision vs. having to fully start over…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a short and sweet game which mainly focuses on story and multitasking. If you don't like either of those then stay away.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i mean its a cool game but it gets super boring after a while, like its the same thing over n over but the gameplay doesnt last that long so you kind of just wasted money no matter how cheap it is lol
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let me preface with the fact that I really like this game. I find the routine to be both fun and engaging and I don't need much story to keep me along. Which is a great thing. However the game itself is pretty buggy. There have been several times where correct answers have been marked as wrong. I literally got an email saying that I handled a case wrong and that I should have done "insertcorrectsolution". It literally still had the replacement string in the message. I would forgive these…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Personally: buggiest game I have ever played. Always on the tip of your toes to know if your correct solution will be correct or correct but bugged. If you love gambling this might just scratch that itch, maybe can help with addiction – I don't know. I am honored to write this review. I think I developed TMJ playing this game. Big ups to everyone reading.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I figured with the mostly positive reviews that i did see it would be good. I want to say the story is interesting, but I'm not sure because I only got about 4 days in. The way you communicate within the game is repetitive and makes no sense as a conversation. I've played plenty of games that have pre-determined dialogue choices, but those do it right and the dialogue flows well in those games. I wanted to like this game so much. I got it on sale a while ago so it is what it is.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminds me of papers please but you work as a tech supporter in a corrupt company instead of a border guard in a dicatorship country.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →got the game out of a key mystery box, tried it and am having a great time, the gameplay is nice for a calm quick or long play sesion and the multiple optional story lines gives the game replayability
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well I've gone through 50 hours of this game. Im done. Lol I can't get all the achievements for it. It takes way too many playthroughs and you gotta make the right choices along the way otherwise it's start the whole game over again. Fun overall. Its a bit addicting with the calls. 👍
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What starts as a simple tech support job in game turns into something far more complicated and sinister - at the end of the day though it truly asks the question of what side do you want to be on. The side of a corporation who has in their hands in more pots than what you would ever believe or the side of the hackers who want to reveal everything to the public. Truly this game is entertaining, and just is good for that job simulator vibe with a twist.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The concept of the game sounds really good, but the realization isn't so. The conversations in this game are extremely bad and make NO sense. The game also feels very unfinished and lacks content.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Always maintained the reason why I’ve avoided PC gaming, despite knowing it’s the “better” option, is because I don’t feel like playing the Tech Support mini-game that comes pre-installed. I just wanna turn it on and go, and that simplicity and ease is worth the small downgrade.
neutral · AI labelView post →Tech Support: Error Unknown is an inventive narrative-driven simulation that transforms the everyday routines of technical support into a surprisingly layered and morally complex experience. Developed by Dragon Slumber and published by Iceberg Interactive, the game places players in the role of a new employee at a powerful telecommunications corporation, where the primary responsibility is assisting customers with malfunctioning smartphones and software issues. What initially appears to be a…

The mechanics, atmosphere, and storytelling are top-notch in the early stages. However, as the game progresses, it starts to lose some of that initial momentum. The later parts feel noticeably less developed, with a lack of content and polish that makes the experience feel somewhat unfinished. Despite this, it’s still a…
