What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 170 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (3,153 of 3,362 positive).
Many highlight the ballerina ghost boss fight as a standout, calling it artistic, tense, and well-designed. [1][2][3][4] Some reviewers find the story confusing or the English voice acting poor, and note unskippable cutscenes as a flaw. [5][6][7]

The start is promising and intriguing, it's the same chapter you can play in the demo. That's why I purchased the game. However after the first good chapter, the game turns into a very silly story for teens, as silly as the protagonists, losing the good and thrilling atmosphere. It's a real shame, because the technical execution is remarkable, making good use of the Unreal Engine. Furthermore, it offers an …

TL;DR Completion time: ~8–10 hours for 100% Difficulty: 2/10 Verdict: 8.5/10. This sequel improves everything from the first game and delivers a well-rounded, story-rich horror experience. Review As an achievement huntress, I always keep achievement hunting in mind when reviewing a game. The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication is a solid step up from the first game in every possible way. Honestly, I had absolutely no idea what I was walking into with this game. I just love horror games and dove straight in. And let me tell you, what I got was something so different and memorable that I can't help but sit down and write a review after I've finished the game. Without spoiling much, it's a horror story told through the lens of teenagers and a reporter exploring a haunted Taiwanese university full of …

Absolutely loved the game and plan on playing it again for any missed achievements. The storyline, voice acting, puzzles and boss battles were all incredible. The Mad Ballerina was one of the greatest and terrifying boss battles that I've experienced in a horror game. Her sad and jealous story coupled with how terrifying her battle is sold me. And honestly, not to mention the beauty of it all. The only critique I …

Ballerina ghost boss fight in this should be used as a wonderful example of puzzle/anxiety bosses done correctly in the horror genre

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoyed the first, you'll love the second. It's often quite goofy, with hilariously hammy English voice acting, but it can get tense and scary when it wants to. I love the variety of ghosts you deal with. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l79p0e3VFqw&

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game’s from a pretty OG Taiwanese studio. Though they haven’t been making horror games for long, but now they’re just as good as those big time international devs. And this sequel is way better than its predecessor, you can see obvious improvements everywhere. And also the game is set in Taiwan, so the horror vibe feels super unique, nothing like Western or Japanese horror that we're already familiar with, maybe you’re not familiar with Chinese/Taiwanese culture, and some stuff might…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A typical b-movie, full of annoying characters and especially showy ghosts, the only real appeal of which is to be found in Taiwanese folklore. The puzzles are imaginative, but unfortunately, the many film inserts, the overdrawn, silly dialogues and the artificially extended hide-and-seek parts break the pace, and because of this, you can get tired of this school-related ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ very quickly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →too many cutscenes, not enough gameplay
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a very well-made game with an appropriate game length and difficulty The final part of the ballerina chapter was especially my all-time number one moment in this game. It’s incredibly well-directed, with perfect harmony between tension and the tempo of the music!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hello Nightmares! We return to the haunted school at 8pm this evening for the second half of the Bridge Curse 2! The first half of this game was amazing so I can't wait to whats in store!
positive · AI labelView post →This is a lot harder to review than just a simple "Yes/No" on recommendations. First off: the voice acting is terrible and the writing is bad. Every time a cutscene started I would get annoyed. I looked for an option to play voice acting in the original language instead of English, but didn't see one, so I just had to grin and bear it. Plus, the writing could be really awful in parts. There's an early cutscene where the characters did not act anything like I would expect them to given the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly very surprised on how enjoyable this game was. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys story driven games with horror elements.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just started The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication and so far it ROCKS. Same charming & funny dialogue as the first game so far, not huge on the teenage characters but at least they're funny, creepy ghost designs are back and the graphics are amazing (on a tiny steam deck screen at least)
positive · AI labelView post →Average B-movie horror movie with some interaction. Not terrible, not great, first game is much better. Still worth a play if that's what you're looking for
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I went into The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication not knowing what to expect, and I have to say, it completely blew me away. I’d never heard of the developers before, but they’ve crafted a horror experience that feels more like watching a high-quality movie or show than playing a game. The music and graphics really pull you in, creating an atmosphere that’s both creepy and beautiful. The voice acting isn’t perfect, but it’s solid enough that it didn’t bother me. All in all, this is a gem for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, good atmosphere and a nice story - although will agree that it's a little confusing in places. One thing letting it down is that the cutscenes are not skippable at all, so it is frustrating if you want to go back and get ask the extras. If a skip button could be added that would be incredible!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Live now w/ a couple games today! Starting w/ Envelope to see if we can get to the ending, and then diving back into The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication which has been amazing! Come join the fun at twitch.tv/stuntmama!
positive · AI labelView post →I thought this was a friggin good game. It had a great balance of sensible and doable puzzles, a decent storyline, a nice ending; the character development was meh tbh but still good enough to leave me satisfied at the end of the story! The jumpscares were good, the boss fights were 7/10 for me. Most weren't veerryyy challenging but there was one boss fight in particular that I WANT TO SINGLE OUT AND PRAISE! That boss fight was one of the most perfectly artistic, scary, challenging,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far really enjoying the vibe of the game. The tense atmosphere, dark topic and the beautifully campy dialogue is what I love to see in my horror games. Although I will say I wasn't a fan of the very first "puzzle" being a slide puzzle. Still didn't put me off playing more. Gameplay is smooth too. Glad it's not overly reliant of being caught then game over. Saves repeating the same sections over and over again. For my First impressions of The Bridge Curse 2 check out my video here:…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game i'd have to say. Story wise i still prefer the first one. But gameplay wise the second one for me excels in creative ways. The second game for me is more of an adventure type game and less horror. If you're looking for a more atmospheric experience and actual unique supernatural premise i'd say go for the first one. The second game offers a unique fresh experience but not as scary as the first one. 8/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game to play. strong intro but ending was not very special. if you play Amnesia Series or Madison, its not scary for you and puzzles are very easy for you too. buy it if its in offer

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just like the first one, a very good game of the franchise!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dude, this game was SO good! I love how you can connect the small details to the bigger picture of what is happening with all the characters. I also love how all the characters were written; it makes you actually care with whatever happens to them. LOVED the ending!!! Overall, would def recommend this game. <333
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication, developed by SOFTSTAR Entertainment and published by PQube and Gamera Games, is a tense and visually striking survival horror game that builds upon the foundation of the first title while carving out its own identity through improved mechanics, richer storytelling, and a much deeper atmosphere. Set once again at Taiwan's Wen Hua University, the game invites players into a haunted academic setting filled with urban legends, ghostly apparitions, and layers of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →woefully underrated. A huge leap forward from BC1; story, animations, characters etc. The pacing is tight, the atmosphere is spot on and the game oozes with charm. My only nit-picks would be that some of the background tracks don't loop correctly, and that it has nothing to do with a bridge (unless I missed something) A fantastic horror game with Asian lore, great VO (not the English dub, my god) and motion capture, a much more mature move towards real terror and fear - not just cheap jump…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Jesus why is this tagged with Psycho Horror? Because its so plane boring it bores you? The unskippable cutscenes every 10 steps totally kills this game. And if that wouldnt be enough, the dialoge is so drawn out and simply bad! (and sometimes cringe) Theres 0 Horror in this cause it prevents itself from building immersion. What a hot pile of Garbage 1/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is incredible, it is such an amazing horror game and sequel to the first game. The game runs excellent and each scene makes you feel watched and has an excellent horror set up. The story is good but I found it a bit confusing near the ending but it wasn't bad at all it was quite enjoyable and the puzzles in the game are really good and cause you to think similar to survival games from the 90's. The game also has great graphics and the ghosts are quite impressive. I recommend anyone…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't do a poll here unfortunately, but deciding what to play between Phasmo, DBD, Paradise's Seccrets, and The Bridge Curse 2 (continuing the game).
neutral · AI labelView post →Masterful, like the first one. I especially appreciate the balance between story beats, enemy encounters and puzzles. I can imagine alot of people might have an issue with the walking sections and the (unskippable) cutscenes bloating the run time, but I thought it added tension and atmosphere to the overall experience. Also, I ADORE the quirky humour. I played with Taiwanese spoken language, as the English one does sound a bit off, not necessarily badly acted, but like they still have Tai tone…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played The Bridge Curse 1 & 2. In my opinion, 1 is more horror and 2 has more depth with multiple story elements. Nevertheless enjoyed both. Highly recommended for any horror gaming fan. It has a good mixture of jump scares, beautiful scenes, emotional story elements, easy puzzles to challenge your mind and good music.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game with high production values. Many people are comparing this game with the 1st game, but in my opinion this game has a totally different feel and aesthetic. There are some super tense moments, and also some very difficult sections to get through. The graphics and atmosphere are perfect, and the game runs smoothly. The ghosts are super creepy, well designed, unnerving and scary. The voice acting is great and story is interesting. I give it a 8.5/10. 1.5 points off…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →bad game, dont buy. walking simulator/ movie. u dont get to play. enjoy being caught in 10000 boring ( and unneccessary long ) cutscenes. also NO horror. no scare. actually its just a scam.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ballerina boss is a insanely good designed boss fight, must play!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was expecting a typical barebones indie horror experience, but came out very surprised and impressed. The devs cooked this time, W
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This horror saga never disappoints ! This is as good as the first Bridge Curse game, everything feels great, the oppresive atmosphere is perfect. Urban legends adaptations are super good, and the chase mechanics are way better than in the first game, u need to do logical stuff that really connects to the backstory of the game to avoid ghost during stalking sequences. For the second time, one of the best horror games out there, once again ! Congrat's to the team ! I love u ! <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First in line for the Poody fan club meetup.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun well done indie horror. Good quality of life that is rare in the genre. Fun and creative mechanics. Not going to be genre-defining or anything but really well done!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First puzzle already stuck. Totally unable to proceed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The reviewer that described the voice acting as being part of a B-horror movie was spot on. It's a linear game that feels bad as you're playing it with nice graphics. It has a nice atmosphere though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I felt that the story in this one was more cohesive than the first game, but overall it was not as scary. Still, worth playing if you can get it on sale. It took me about 4.5 hours to beat. Here is a video of my play through if you want to watch: https://youtu.be/Vjcre-8zmAM Please subscribe (it’s free), if you have a moment. It it deeply appreciated.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Platinum trophy #230 The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication - A cool sequel on the first game. The english VA is corny but funny. Overall fun :3
positive · AI labelView post →It's really good. Spooky stuff. I like the multiple story/character gimmick. I've invested in the mystery so far. The graphics are straight up amazing. took me by surprise, and the demons i've seen made me pee a little in my sponge bob breeches. I got it as part of a Humble Bundle and expected nothing of it and I played 3 straight hours after trying it for curiosity. A-Hai got me going A-Hai let me tell you. Good game worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A quaint indie horror game that shows a lot of talent, albeit with varying quality, but absolutely still worth playing. I'm excited to see where these devs go. The story is perfectly passable (even clever at some points, especially in its incorporation of Chinese culture) and I did genuinely want to know what was going on even up until the end. I will say that the quality drops pretty dramatically after the first chapter. I was actually really gripped by this first act, but it fizzled out…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game can be finished on the steam deck. Major complaints are the face animations (but that might be because they are made for chinese instead of english) and the inability to skip the cinematics specially if we already saw them several times to try and complete the game. Otherwise the puzzles are not that challenging and was able to finish the game in an afternoon.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →way too many damn unskippable cutscenes

neutral · AI labelView post →I gotta say this game was fun as hell. Me and the stream chat were absolutely loving it. Now I gotta play the first one and we all agreed there needs to be a third! Also... I HATE mannequins. lol
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I don’t know, but it wasn’t very satisfying for me. It’s not as good as season 1. I was excited for the game, and let’s say it was just okay. Rating: 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool Game, Cool Story. My main criticism is the amount of cut scenes. I want to play the game, not watch the game. The cut scenes really take away form the scares and atmosphere
