Out of all the mediocre ARPGs, this one is the most mediocre. Out of all good ARPGs, this one isn't to be found. Out of all bad ARPGs, this one isn't the worst. Out of all the games in your library, this one sits aloof for it was bought very cheaply.

Combat is very clunky and frustrating. Skill tree is pretty interesting, but powerups and rage system feels bad. Katarina is a great companion with nice dialogs and useful passives. Graphics are old but OK. I would also like to note the interesting exploration - the game has many hidden quests and activities. Conclusion: Final Cut is an outdated ARPG with clumsy combat and interesting mechanics with poor …

An underrated gem of an ARPG game! The Final Cut of The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing series takes the strengths of all three games and combines them into one (almost perfect) package, while leaving (most of) the weaknesses of previous titles behind. There are three important changes with the Final Cut: you have six classes to play, the level cap has been set to 100, and the three games have been streamlined …

This is a weird Diablo clone. It has an excellent story with good writing and atmosphere. The developers had the great idea of turning your pet character into an actual, well, character named Katarina. The banter between her and Van Helsing is always amusing and it makes me wonder why other developers have never done this. As for the atmosphere, it nails the mix of old school horror (Frankenstien, the Werewolf, …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun ARPG. It's now offline only, so don't be like the dork negatively reviewing the game because he didn't read and stared at a login screen for too long. This isn't as good Grim Dawn or PoE but it's still a fun time. There are quite a few classes that are all unique

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really great Diablo-like ARPG with a gothic horror theme based early modern Europe. You play as the grandson of the famous monster hunter Van Helsing and there are some pretty cool classes to chose from. I played as a Phlogistoneer, which is kinda like a retro version of Iron-man, running around in a mechanical armor suit spamming grenades, mines and rockets left and right. Had so much fun blowing up werewolves, monsters and shιt. Strongly recommend this game is you like Diablo. 9/10…

It's far from the worst thing in my library, but little defines it outside of its mediocrity.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do NOT buy anything from NeoCore games. They've shown to be a shady dev that will revoke legitimately purchased keys out of spite and then lying about why they did so. They claim it's for "privacy issues" yet didn't bother to revoke keys until a couple of years after. So the dev is a thief and a liar. Hopefully they're out of the industry soon enough.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut is the definitive edition of the complete TIAoVH series, containing all 3 games in a single playthrough, some fixes, quality of life changes and using the third game's graphics engine. If you want to experience this ARPG series, this is the perfect game to go to. One of the two strongest points of this game is the atmosphere and the…

Will not allow you to log in even though it FORCES you to create an account on NeoCoreGames.com and then did a verification email. Clicking on play offline does nothing. Either way, I have a pretty game start menu asking for credentials that will not go further. :-/ I have played VanHelsing 1/2/3 and enjoyed them. This I enjoy much MUCH less....

Simply press "Offline Mode" and enjoy the Campaign aswell as the Adventure Mode. If you are expecting a dark and grim action-adventure, set in the World of Van Helsing, look elsewhere. This game plays similar to diablo, isometric view with mostly point and click trashmob mapclearing While you can choose from…

I played the original game when it came out and it wasn't that great at that time, but it was more or less consistent. The Final Cut version pretty much stitches all of the 3 games, but at the same time makes you play the game with standalone classes. Now, my biggest complaint for the Final Cut is the lack of real choices and very boring / bad classes. I had the exact same issue with Torchlight II that didn't offer any worthwhile…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only recommended for casual ARPG players. For players who are into playing on higher difficulties + Hardcore, I'd stay away from this one. Van Helsing left me with mixed feelings. The setting is great, the art style is nice. Lots of different types of areas to explore. The humor is cheesy but good enough to appreciate. Lots of different classes. Sadly, as a person who loves to crank the difficulty and always play my ARPG's on Hardcore it became a real struggle to get through it. The game is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoy games like Diablo, Titan Quest, Griwn Dawn and Torchlight etc., you want to try this one. Get it while on sale or for free in case you already own Van Helsing 1-3. I prefer Final Cut over VH1-3 because of a) more playable classes (6 instead of 3) b) story of all 3 games in 1 with the same character (you cannot import chars from VH2 to VH3) c) skill tree rework d) available mods. incl. a few bugfixes.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If I had to describe this game, I'd say it's a vastly underrated title, but it's truly unique and very good. It's not a major game, but I think it's amazing. I'd even say that games like this aren't made anymore because back then, games were made with heart, while today, they're made with spreadsheets and numbers to determine how much a corporate executive gets paid. Overall, games have become empty and soulless, and this translates to the entire market, and players. While there are exceptions…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A remake of the original Van Helsing trilogy of games, combined into a single adventure with the third game’s classes and mechanics. A decent fantasy ARPG overall, but merely being decent won’t get you far in a genre with so many other better options to play, especially when the visuals are this bland and the campaign so overly long. 5/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It aged decently well for a hack and slash, but there is a distinct lack of fluid movement skills that makes it stand out from modern titles. I did not play the previous 2 titles and I likely never will, so I can't compare them with this one, but it is obvious at times that the game is laughably outdated. It starts by asking you to log in using an account for a defunct service and (sometimes) ends by killing your hardcore character in an online arena. What has aged well is the witty banter…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent enough ARPG but it feels (and looks) pretty old now. I played through solo in offline mode as it no longer connects to online play, meaning there is no way to play co-op. The story isn't great, I expected a game called Van Helsing to be about vampires but it isn't. It's set in a steampunky weird-science meets machine world, and the story feels like it's all over the place until the last few chapters. The tower defence mini games were fun for a few rounds but they got a little…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really good Diablo-like game. Not as good as Grim Dawn or Torchlight 2 but still fine.. It combine 3 games into one, with tons of different levels and ennemies. The game is quite simple (maybe too simple?), you can play it with your mouse only. The gameplay is extremely satisfying apart from a major flaw: there is some kind of auto-aiming that cannot be turned off. Not a huge problem, but the game would have been much better with a true aiming system. Another flaw is the skill…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Taking to a developer about a game that is stuck in maintenance.... Made me realize they don't understand GFN at all. This is Neocore who developed Warhammer 40k Inquisitor and The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. Van Helsing has been offline for almost a year and the Inquisitor Prophecy launcher is offline (you can still play all the content through the Martyr launcher). I reached out to their support on Discord. They first responded with "you can't play unsupported games on GeForce…
neutral · AI labelView post →So it's come to this for you, eh? This game is to people who like playing ARPGs what drinking rubbing alcohol is to alcoholics- you're clearly out of all other options, you won't really like it, you may think less of yourself for having done it, but it ultimately gets the job done. Is it a good game? No. Is it an OK game in places and parts? Enh, kinda. The core character mechanics and gameplay are the only real satisfying element here. You have all the right armor & accessory slots to allow…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Look, there are more than a couple of things to like about this game: Van himself, he is very heroic and stoic, just like how I like them. The idea of a ghost companion, a Lady Katarnia, no less, is very cool as well, their banter and contrasting personalities are fun to witness. The settings are steamy and foggy, all those machines creating endless pillars of smoke and electricity shooting about from contraptions that were made to kill indiscriminately between hordes of filthy beasts and other…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This supposedly contains all DLC and connects games 1, 2 and 3 in one single playthrough but I couldn't really tell as I never played the previous installments so I'll take their word for it. I recommend installing the fanmade patch Prometheus Enhanced to add cut content, fix alot of bugs and typos and rebalance the game. I also had to set each executable to override high DPI scaling because it wouldn't let me select my monitor's native 2K resolution otherwise. I have to say that this game…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots—too many to mention. One of my favourites is Divine Divinity. This was made by Larian Studios back in the day. In fact, their first title. The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is also a standout. Dungeon Siege is also tremendous. Likewise Titan Quest is excellent. Really, there’s so much good in this genre.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wasting my time asking to create an account for a nonexistent server. The game isn't bad, but it's janky and floaty. Doesn't feel like I'm playing a game so much as holding a button down.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not exactly hack and slash arpg type games fan, but I enjoyed my playthrough. World style, enemy design, music is good. Cant say much about story outside it exists and it`s decent, but you shouldn`t expect any mindblowing twists. Game also has adventure map, which basically means endless grid, while reusing same old maps from story, quite fast became a slog. You can also grab a friend for coop run. Overall decent game, especially if taken on a sale( Like I did ). If you like this type of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Final Cut of Van Helsing - Masterpiece! It's a damn masterpiece! If you play with friends, it's even better! Great game, characters, world design, enemy design, mechanics, skill trees, endgame farming, music! This game has it all, and! If you played the separate games, this is one long continuation of the stand alone games, so the flow of the story is even better than before. I can't recommend this game enough, it's really a hidden gem at a great price and the game plays better than ever!…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought I would like this game, but after a couple of hours, I wasn't really feeling it. I guess it's just not for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Final Cut combines all the trilogy, so do not buy each game individually if you got this one. But, it also includes most those games DLCs (the exception is Magic Pack from the second game which just adds a meh item) and adds some minor tweaks compared to the original games. Even so I fully recommend it to be played with the mod Prometheus Enhanced – which adds back some cut side-quests as well as other things. As for the game, it is a typical ARPG, and by today standards it does not hold up as…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My expectations for this game were fairly low, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I ended up enjoying almost everything about it. But I have to admit that the game content starts lacking around the original 2nd game, and so do some of the gameplay-related issues, such as poor pathfinding. For the most part the maps are fun to explore, the art style is appealing, the dialogue is enjoyable, and while the music can become a bit repetitive, it still fits the atmosphere well. Combat feels…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels like a labor of love game. Quality isn't top notch but it has grit. Play on easy difficulty or else everything will feel like a sponge, you literally lose out on nothing and just save time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I know this is often regarded as a lower tier ARPG, but really it just has some balance issues and a somewhat bland storyline. I still enjoyed building the character and looting new items. For the deeply discounted price, I have had a great time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →survice is offline dont buy it for 44 euros.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great start and Van Helsing and Katarina's banter is funny and likeable, but the rest of the game falls off real hard sadly. Boss fights are monumentally boring, following maps are boring, theres a bunch of scort missions that keep failing because the AI is so braindead. Nothing worse than playing a game that makes you bored and annoyed, instead of entertained. If you`re desperate for ARPGs and played all of them, then pick this on a sale. Otherwise, play something else.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a supposedly more streamlined version of the trilogy (all dlc, some fluff cut, etc.) and was free if you already had the individual releases, but for some unfathomable reason they added level-scaling to make sure progress doesn't mean anything. stick to the standalone versions without this nonsense, you're not even saving money here ($45 vs. 3x15 outside a sale).
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I decided to give this another chance and it turns out it was quite good diablo-clone. The scenario tends to drift off after the "2nd" part but what can you do... Decent graphics, enough playable classes, but quite limited in side-quests and map sizes. The adventure mode is quite nice, with fast missions. I still prefer the stand-alone games however. This tends to get very lengthy after a while.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay ARPG, but nothing about it stands out for me besides katarina companion the banter is great.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've never written a review before, but this one made me want to. Worst purchase I've ever made in my life. I really don't know if this is a good game. Steam shows that I have 115 minutes in the game. That's how long I've been just staring at the splash screen that hangs endlessly. I don't know how many times I tried to launch the game, but only one attempt was successful. And I still couldn't log into my account. Tech support is on the level as well. They responded that everything was fine on…
