What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 176 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (560 of 696 positive).
Many note the gameplay becomes repetitive and shallow quickly. [1][2][3] Some reviewers criticize the lack of content and poor replayability. [3][4][5]

The game is dull and has no content. Everything the game has to offer gets shown to you within the first hour or so. The gameplay consists of you looking at the games version of tweets and then buying or shorting stock accordingly. There is no tactics involved with it at all. Tweet say stock go up? Buy stock, then sell it a couple ingame hours later. Tweet say stock go down? Short it and buy back the position a few …

The Invisible Hand is a satirical stock trading simulator that cleverly highlights the greed and moral compromises of capitalism, but its shallow mechanics and short campaign make it more of a thought-provoking one-time experience than a long-lasting game.

im an actual daytrader, the opening scene was funny. this is a funny satire game you gotta pump those numbers up, those are rookie numbers i think the weakness of the game is that although it is funny, the gameplay loop is bad and repetitive. Do X to make Y go up or down, rinse and repeat. There is also no speedup feature.

I'm going to tentatively give this a thumbs up. I feel like the game is overall what the developer promised in their marketing and it doesn't seem to have any game breaking bugs. However there are some significant cons, but also some decent pros. Con 1. The game looks like ♥♥♥♥. If this game was originally released in 2015, I'd say the graphics were passable for an indie title, but it released in 2021 so my …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I expected a trading simulator where you earn/lose money and buy things. Unfortunately, this game is about countless quest dialogues that you end up skipping quickly without reading, because the clock is ticking, every second matters, and you have to focus on making money. Also, there's a 'competition' among co-workers, and you get fired (Game Over) if you don’t earn more than someone else regardless of you are still making good money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I currently have a masters in Data Analysis from WGU and a bachelors in Finance from SAU with an emphasis on Banking and Investments. I currently work in accounts receivable. I thought this would be a fun low stress way to invest. Having done many simulations before on places such as Bloomberg I expected a few things. 1. A terminal that looked half as decent. 2. Some tools 3. No win button 4. Info on the stocks 5. More then randomnes 6. A way to do fundamental analysis. I figured if most…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game looks promissing at first but quickly turns repetitive. The economic model is horrible broken. You can short an umlimited amount of stocks in a given company without considering the companies networth. Combine that with companies paying out unlimited dividend percentages and you have a money printing machine on steroids. Short one unlucky business and go long on another while signing a dividend contract. On day 3 you have billions and billions comming in from your million dollar…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the story twice. The first time, I was very happy with my purchase. On the second, I couldn't help but be disappointed. For what appears to be a responsive story-line on the first play through, this game does NOT have replay-ability. The story is not actually responsive to your actions. There are a few scripted endings depending on if you cooperate or not with law enforcement, or choose to come back to the company or not , but that's it. Whether or not you manipulate the market, or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is an unfun grind. It tries to be funny, but the writing is average. The trading is cartoonish. Trade volumes are also problematic. No candlestick, and historical view is only 1 day. Can't recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A dynamic stock-market - everything that moves one stock moves related stocks. Use interview software! Buy low and sell high if stock going up in price, or short-sell high and buy-back low if decreasing in value. Drink time-altering brewed drinks. Blow money on insanely costly trinkets with which to pack your luxury housing. Rent out luxury housing packed with insanely valuable trinkets. Throw parties to Impress co-workers and get random stock tips and discounts/boosts. Use insider…

If you are interested in the game and it's before June 6th, 2022, consider picking up the game as part of the current monthly bundle. Being a stock trader, only here you can’t lose. The Invisible Hand is another Simulator game, this time it’s the stock market. You are supposed to compete against other stock traders, because… reasons, but all you’re doing is day trading and while the game…

I did all that for a little bit of money, And would I do it again? Hell f**king yeah.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Endless Mode is the best way to enjoy this game imo, though the main story is fun too and can be played as a Tutorial.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is basically the world TikTok day-traders try to convince you exists..and it's fun. The game does go very fast, however there is a in-game mechanic that allows you to slow down time (drinking tea). Also, idk why the game is called "The Invisible Hand", when that is more of an economy term and not a stocks/investment term.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OK so i know i should never mess with stocks and stuff IRL because i am idiot. but this game is extremely fun and also shows why people like me should stay out of the stock game lol. If you are good with stuff like this id say its a must have. and if you are like me and were wondering what stuff like this is really like its so much fun to mess around with. and if you just want something to challenge you id say this dose great in that area as well
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To all developers everywhere: Please stop doing that stupid ticker-tape thing with the text, or at least provide a way to turn it off. I'm not going to sit here and press the button twice for every single screen. I can read much faster than you think. Your text is barely interesting enough to even skim over it anyway and there is at least twice as much of it as there needs to be to tell the story. And I just know that at some point when I'm mashing the button to get through the story, that…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bit of a heart-breaker. There are a lot of clever ideas in this, from how the trading mechanics work to the wit in a lot of the writing and situations. But unfortunately, it doesn't come together in a coherent manner. Wildly unbalanced game mechanics lead to obvious exploits that encourage you to ignore most of what's going on in the game. And the overall story is just an absolute mess that never actually says anything other than a bunch of random nonsense. Great details, hot garbage overall.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Players will witness the cruelty of corporate capitalism, which in turn only emphasizes the sheer ridiculousness with which it continues to sustain itself and the sheer privilege of corporate trade and the hypercapitalist way of life. While a brief and certainly flawed experience, I can’t give this title anything less than my full recommendation.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to enjoy the game, it seems interesting despite the other negative reviews. I wouldn't know, however, as the game refuses to load past the first loading screen. I'm happy to change this review if I ever get it to work, but until then, no. Can't even recommend it for the low sale it's currently on (80% off, down to 3 dollars), because it's not even a working product, and I wish I hadn't picked it up from a store that wasn't Steam. Edit: After another half hour of exploring, I stumbled…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, made me realize how much I hate stock trading.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kinda reminds me of my prop trading experience. The simulated trading is quite fun, although unrealistically easy. But It still captures the atmosphere right, and It's as close as you can get in "trading game", without making yet-another paper trading thing, which wouldn't be a fun game. It's quite a relaxing experience for someone who already had some experience with the market: Check the tweets, buy and watch the chart go up and up, totally worth it :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I disagree that there's not enough content - I feel there's an adequate amount. What I feel would've helped is better pacing. I finished career mode in less than an hour, but have spent several hours going through the successions. Balancing things so that the campaign is longer and successions less tedious would've helped a lot. Anyways - this is a good game. It's got great humor and mechanics, I just wish the story was a bit longer. I'd recommend getting it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Invisible Hand, developed and published by Power Struggle Games, is a first-person trading simulator that turns the abstract world of finance into something immediate, interactive, and surprisingly intense. Rather than presenting the stock market as a distant system of charts and numbers, it places players directly at a trading desk, where every decision—buying, selling, or manipulating—happens in real time under pressure. At the same time, it frames this experience through a lens of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This looks like strategy game, but is not. This is actually more like story, that uses strategy game to tell its tale. But I enjoyed playing through lively story and met interesting characters. I didn't bother trying to replay, after playing this game through, So I actually don't know if there is way to just play stock market part. I was hesitant to pay full price, and got this game on discount. Which makes if easier to give it positive review.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love trading stocks and options. I also love day trading for fun. This game does a really good job of letting you play out a simplified fantasy of trading and mimic the stress when a large leveraged position starts moving against you . Its very easy to lose a couple of hours before you notice how much time you spent. Fills a great niche I really enjoyed it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is comie propagana trust
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Invisible Hand is a fun little indie game that any victim of late-stage capitalism can probably get a kick out of. I feel that the developers could have delved further into the critique of corporate culture and the financial institutions that exploit our systems, but overall, it's a light-hearted, comedic simulation game with an enjoyable gameplay loop that I'm sure has some deeper meaning for those willing to invest more time into it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun stock market simulator with witty and not cringe sense of humor. Worth to spend a few hours to do the story mode. If you like these kinds of games, can go another dozen hours. Easy to "hack" after that. Overall, fun worth my money

The video they used to promote it made me think it was an FMV style movie game, which is not what the game actually plays like. What you actually have is a fun 3-4 hour story with an excellent buying and selling mechanic. Beyond the core experience is a nicely done Endless mode,…

neutral · AI labelView post →This game is outstanding !! As far as how realistic it is it puts the player in that "Wolf of Wallstreet "" zone mentality!! along with the perks and dangers asociated with the high risks as you move up!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the only game I've found so far where you can channel your inner Wall Street wolf without ending up in federal prison! In this ruthless simulation, you’ll laugh, cry, and question your life choices as you crash markets and bankrupt entire nations—all before breakfast. "The Invisible Hand", which is a title that really has nothing to do with the actual game, is a game all about Maths and Economics. There is really not much to say about the game; it's a Simulator game that has you do stock market investments... negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pretty solid, pretty neat, pretty short. Not really a meaningful story that also overstays its welcome. Wish there were more mechanics to the trading, especially around options regarding your dirty methods. I think limiting the options to lobbying and the darknet insider info wasn't that interesting since without those methods your stuck just playing "will line go up or down". Which is fair enough I suppose, but it's easy to see how this game could have expanded in many different ways such as…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short and sweet game, basically make money, knock out your rival traders and then go into endless mode. The nice bit about the game was that options were available to you bit by bit so dividends would come late in the game, you have lobbiests, you can short stocks, you can either play the game honestly or cheat, there will be a price to pay if you cheat. One bad thing about endless mode is that you'll get called by the same guy almost every day with the same message.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Real Life Je rk Simulator!...Yeah thats how i believe the wallstreet and other work in the real world too! Generall i had fun for a while but its evolving to slow and then story wise not great enough to play it throu! so its a 5 of 10...a neutral thumb but as its playable and has some nice ideas i will give it a thumbs up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought the game for $3 and it was definitely worth it despite having been a day trader in the past and it being nothing like the real thing. Realize that this is a simulation and understand that there are unavoidable pitfalls and it may as well be NTR because you're going to lose the millions that you made. Go and make decisions and learn just to find out that things change. By the way, you can sell stocks even if you make dividends. I don't know what that's all about.
