Why did I play this game when it's clearly for a way younger demographic... I 100%ed it too. The pace is just too slow for a game that demands so little of me, and the narrator keeps talking at me like I'm five. Remember to always read the negative reviews before buying a game that says "Overwhelmingly positive" lol.

🕯️ A Calm, Thoughtful Puzzle Adventure This is a very calm and relaxing game from start to finish. The world has a soft, storybook feel, with warm lighting and cosy, colourful environments. Alongside the soft background music and narration, it creates a quiet, reflective atmosphere that fits the emotional themes really well. Gameplay focuses on exploration and light environmental puzzles. Most involve observing …

"You can lose everything, but you're not truly lost until you lose hope." What an absolute gem of a game. 🌸 The Last Campfire follows a lost Ember on a journey to find purpose and hope. The story gently explores what it means to feel lost and reminds us that hope can often be found in the smallest acts of kindness. The puzzles are simple enough to never become frustrating, yet they're creative and meaningful. The …

I just finished the game. I have total chills. This is the best short game I have ever played. My run time was just under 8 hours, which includes getting stuck on 2 puzzles for a little bit, and getting all the collectibles... and it was incredible from start to finish. The story, art style, characters, puzzles, and atmosphere are exactly how they should be, for what the game is meant to be and for the emotions they …

I’m currently in the middle of The Last Campfire and it has already become one of those games I love to boot up when I just want to slow down for a while. You play as a tiny lost ember wandering through a quiet, slightly melancholic world. The journey is about finding other lost souls — the Forlorn — who have given up hope, and helping them move forward again. Each one leads to a small puzzle space that represents …

Had I known it was this good, I would have started playing it much sooner. Some of you might get the impression that I am overpraising this game. It might have felt so wonderful to me simply because the things the game tries to convey are meaningful and touching to me personally. It became a fantastic experience also because in certain parts, it made me feel as if it was…

positive · AI labelView post →Been playing The Last Campfire the past couple nights and just finished it up. Nice little puzzle game by the No Man's Sky devs, with BOTW shrine vibes. I loved it 💙

Story telling was great. Atmospheric vibe was great. Puzzle was not that hard but it gets bit tricky time to time. I played this game on Steam link most of the time on my phone. So I can say it's one of the best sit back and relax puzzle game. Overall I will rate this game 10/10 👌🏻 I am dropping review after completing 100% of this game 🎯 Also I should…

positive · AI labelView post →The game is more about the story than the puzzles, which are easy (except for a couple at the end). The story is an amazing experience though everything comes together really well. I'd put this up there with games like Gris and Journey. If those games are your speed you will enjoy this one too.

I love that the puzzles are physical representations of each pilgrim's story. Bonus points for the narrator's etheral voice and bittersweet story.

neutral · AI labelView post →A very lovely game with a narator, about a journey to the last campfire, meeting strangers and making friends along the way... helping other, find their tiny spark of fire through puzzles. Waking them up, makes you realise, nobody is lost alone in their own thoughts. Really enjoy the whole game..(even have seen some tiny bugs, but it didn´t effect my game play)

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing puzzle game. Graphical style is adorable and consistent, cut-scene direction and cinematography perfectly executed, puzzle difficultly curve slightly upward with new elements introduced as you progress, background story mysterious and intriguing, even narration is done noticeably professionally for such a "small" game. Thumbs up! Gameplay video: (no ending here, 2/3 zones): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psfE3XeXXoo
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was a pleasant surprise, enjoyed it from start to finish. Puzzles didn't feel overbearing and while the story got sad at times, it sent a simple heartfelt message. Being able to steer forlorn back in the right direction felt rewarding, it made up for the sad moments. The game's atmosphere is really cozy and the music only adds to it. Such an adorable game, glad I found it while scrolling through the steam store. Definitely recommend, especially when it's on sale. Need more games…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I picked up this game, on sale, for $1.50 based on the "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews. Honestly, it's a great game... for children. All, but 2, of the puzzles were extremely easy. The story and overall game design is geared towards a much younger demographic. Steam needs a better way for adults to distinguish between "Overwhelmingly Positive" if you are 10 years old versus "Overwhelmingly Positive" if you're 40.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Last Campfire is a pleasant logic puzzle game that, with its simple level design and beautiful art style, delivers exactly what you would expect from a game of this genre. The individual puzzles are not overly difficult, and the developers have perfectly balanced their challenge. One of the things the game truly excels at is its musical score and the narrator’s voice, which gives the game a unique cozy feeling and immerses you even deeper into the atmosphere of the story. TLDR: It is a…

neutral · AI labelView post →Visually the game is beautiful. The landscapes, soft colors and gentle music combine to create this cozy, yet slightly haunting atmosphere. The gameplay is smooth and gentle, its mostly puzzle-solving and light platforming, with clever environmental challenges. It’s not a game about epic battles or crazy adventures but makes you want to sit back and experience the slow journey of Ember trying to find its way back to his companions. Difficulty to 100% - (1/5) As long as you take your time to…

neutral · AI labelView post →A gorgeous little game, a journey about finding purpose and hope. I absolutely loved the narrator; the differences in tone and accent she uses for each character really help bring this odd world to life.and some of the quotes genuinely stuck with me. Mostly easy, even on the extra levels, but still a really chill puzzle experience. My only gripe is the mouse controls, which can get pretty finicky when interacting with the map and solving puzzles.

positive · AI labelView post →Having some emotional difficulties this week, so I couldn't make a schedule yet. In a way, it feels like I'm a child again; aimless, trying to figure out where I belong. I do feel like I'd like to play a game tomorrow. Probably "The Last Campfire", maybe "Islets". No set time; whenever I'm ready.
neutral · AI labelView post →Hey @polykillpodcast.bsky.social I #JustBeatIt The Last Campfire. I was expecting a much smaller game, like a pet project of sorts from Hello Games, makers of the enormous No Man's Sky. But no, this game is several hours and full of heart. Light exploration. Light collecting. Environmental puzzles.
positive · AI labelView post →This game stands out as one of the best puzzle games out there along with a genuinely fun playing mechanism with beautiful unique art to it! I was not sure if i would pay the full price, but i got it on sale, However it got a little bit existential dread at the end but its great fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't say enough wonderful things about this absolutely enchanting game! This one simply touched my heart. It was charming and entertaining and beautiful. The story and the message gave me the warm fuzzies. The artwork and characters were so enjoyable, gorgeous and immersive. Such a fantastic way to just become a part of this world. I haven't felt this same way since I was a child and would disappear for hours and days in my room reading books. Such a marvelous way to escape the stresses of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's certainly an indie game. It's like if an indie game was an indie game, but that's it. It has the essence of a good cozy puzzle game but falls short. The cozy feels boring. The puzzles lack that feel good hit after completing. The best part of an indie game is it feels personal and comforting, but this feels generically cute. edit: okay I hadn't considered the possibility of this being a game for kids, and putting that into perspective, it's a pretty good game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highly recommended! 10/10 Calm and beautiful. The puzzles are simple yet clever, and the story conveys themes of loss and hope. A truly great experience. Love relaxing games with soul? This one is a must-play. With tears, the stranger said... I had forgotten what warmth feels like. Plays perfectly on Steam Deck and controller — no issues. Time to 100%: ~6–7.5 hours
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little puzzle game that tells many stories with just a few words. Puzzles weren't difficult at all and the story is rather simple, although the game has lots of hidden meanings if you pay attention. :) Achievement-wise, the game is pretty straightforward, the only thing you need to for a platinum is to help everyone and complete the game. I definitely recommend it - even though 15 euros is a bit much given how short the game is, the story it tells (again, if you pay attention) is in my…

neutral · AI labelView post →If anyone wants a lowkey puzzle indie game that makes you think deeply, The Last Campfire is really good. The puzzles aren't necessarily difficult, but the storyline and the themes struck me hard. The sense of loss, pain, grief, death, hope, and empathy is so profoundly felt and bittersweet.
positive · AI labelView post →Remembered that I never finished playing The Last Campfire, so starting from scratch and falling in love with this game again is a very Sunday thing to do, me thinks.
positive · AI labelView post →That the Hello Games guys put together a little puzzler as lovely as The Last Campfire while also secretly developing that new wizards and dragons game because they didn’t want to let on they weren’t full time patching NMS convinces me that they are in fact beings celestial.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The other night I reinstalled The Last Campfire. It's a really neat little puzzle game about finding hope and also kind of about accepting that you're going to die that I first completed during lockdowns in ~2021. Takes a couple of hours to finish. I did not help my mental state. Again. 😛
neutral · AI labelView post →The Last Campfire is such a lovely little puzzle adventure. I really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, beautiful environments, and the relaxing exploration. The puzzles are varied enough to keep things interesting, and most of them are easy to understand without being completely mindless. Some of the puzzles can be surprisingly satisfying to figure out. I also liked the story and the way it deals with themes like hope, fear, loneliness, and finding your way home. The narration and charming…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this game is more suitable to a younger audience. The way the narrator talks feels like they were really expecting a young audience for this game. Now I feel silly for buying it. The puzzles are very easy except for maybe 3-4 of them. For the majority, you can just breeze through in 1 or 2 attempts. It's not exactly a boring game, there are plenty of things to do and the map is wide enough. The visuals and music are beautiful. Plus I got this game on a 90% discount. Ember and the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decided to buy this after finishing the steam family ver to support the dev. A short, but beautiful game. Probably the cozy puzzle game I've enjoyed the most so far. The maps are packed with things to find and the puzzles were engaging. Storytelling-wise, I usually do not vibe with games with only the narrator voices everything, but I didn't expect the journey to touch my kokoro. I relate with the quotes in this game more than once. 'Not all problems were puzzles to be solved.' 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great puzzle game to get on sale. Puzzles could be a bit harder but it was a pleasant chill experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute game, with interesting story, sadly, for a puzzle focused game, puzzles are quite easy and difficulty of said puzzles are inconsistent. Game quite polished. But there one very odd bug that tied to placing item on ground via mouse button lead to character being unable to move for few seconds, while using keyboard button (default "space") for said action won't cause this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On a whim, I started this game called The Last Campfire. An hour later, I completed the first campfire and I’m excited to play more 😁 Also, the cute little guys and the reviving souls thing reminds me a lot of Sky @dokutahkin.bsky.social 😃
