This is literally game ruining. As of right now, if you join someones game, you are forced to play as THEIR characters. When you leave, you do not retain any earned progression. No xp, no gear. You are SUPPOSED to get gear and xp. The fun of this was entering random games and showing off your own customized character with his own gear. I wanted to jump around helping randoms and stuff but it all feels pointless if …

Splitscreen restored = Instabuy Really fun co-op ARPG by genre specialist Snowblind, devs of BG:Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath games. Local co-op / splitscreen was cut from the original release on PC. The fact they restored it justifies the remaster in itself. Very few local co-op RPGs on PC. Would insta-buy the Norrath games as well. Just sayin'

The original game is still a great game but it did have it's limitations mainly with only one shared inventory thankfully with this new edition that has been sorted out; with each character now having their own inventory , giving the player more space to share items or to store items if playing solo. Now being able to swap between the characters especially for upgrading, repairs and changing weapons and armour makes …

Sharper image quality, easier to use a controller and quality of life improvements make this an easy buy for me. It's easier to manage inventory and skills for yourself and your companions, all DLC items are included and gameplay is still gory fun.

Edit 2: Comments are off now because people started spamming the section with giant blocks of ASCII art. The carnival is now over, sorry. Edit: Since a lot of people are commenting with the question: No, you can't play co-op with someone who has the original release of the game. Save importing might work - nothing about the format of those files has actually changed - but you'd be on your own in trying that at your own risk. Just so you understand what you're getting: This isn't a remaster or…

One does not simply stop after this. We're eating good but what about second breakfast? Now we need the same love for LOTR Conquest (considering Aspyr Sauron also did Battlefront). It would also be nice to see The Two Towers, Return of the King, Battle for Middle-Earth and Third Age get the same treatment as well.

Literally not a single better way to spend 18 dollars. I cannot believe they shadow dropped this. This game is special, and it would be a disservice not to play it. Find two friends and play it. If they don't want to buy it, buy it for them. If you can't do that, hit me up, and maybe I'm feeling generous. I CANNOT believe they shadow dropped this. I played this game when it came out originally on xbox360, Loved it. Love it to death and broke it out recently played it with my son. Its a phenomenal game. Aspyr had the audacity to release it again after it was delisted and not fix the save bugs. You cannot play this game as intended and have it save properly. If you use quick match or party finder your progress doesnt save. And if you do a legit group you still have to jump through a bunch of weird hoops to get it to save and even then…

Imagine the state of modern gaming, that gamers are eager to go back to cult classics and remastered games. By no means do I mean to say that this remaster is bad, on the contrary, it's very fun and provides QoL modernized items. My point however is, that we need modern gaming to start understanding why those games were made into classics in the first place. The overall feel, the fan service, relentless action and no nonsense pay to win BS or modern agendas A good story, good characters and…

This Is How You Bring Classic Games Back Honestly, I’m just really happy to see The Lord of the Rings: War in the North available again. This is exactly what I want to see more of in gaming. Games shouldn’t disappear and become impossible to play unless you’re willing to hunt down an old copy or pay ridiculous prices on the secondary market. TO ANYONE HAVING ISSUES IN MULTIPLAYER WITH SAVING As it is, the host is the only one who keeps a save. the other two players will not have a save, and when they continue from where they left off it will pop up in the top right that you aren't able to save. There's a very easy fix to this. The host needs to send you their save file located in C:\Users\(YOURNAMEHERE)\AppData\Local\Aspyr\War in the North Upload the save file to Discord or wherever, it's only a few kb and have the two other…

With no way to seemingly contact the dev team, I'll post this review with problems in the game. If they get fixed, I'll change it to positive. In Bree, after you leave and then come back, there are massive amount of weapons, potions, etc sitting in one clump on the main path near the Blacksmith. Sometimes, these weapons apears in checkpoint areas too. It seems like a leftover for the dev team for testing, and it never got correctly cleaned up for release. EDIT - the weapon/gear spawn bug has…

Just tested it out as I was cautiously optimistic. Runs absolutely perfectly, had to throw a quick reshade on it as the dated graphics and color grading are a bit fuzzy and overly dark but honestly it is as every bit as good as I remember it and you can rebind all keybinds and use dual key keybinds. No more voice chat audio bug either with forced voice chat. Literally all I could ask for. A bit whack I have to buy it again after owning the original though but it's only £15.

I hate to admit it but I didn’t even know about this game, which makes this all the more exciting for me as I play through it. I think it’s important to point out that this really isn’t a remake or a remaster. The graphics are a bit better but it still looks and plays like an older console game. I want to love this game but for now, it's gonna be a no from me. This would be such a fun game to play with friends, but as many other reviews have stated, multiplayer is bugged (?) and only the host's game saves progress, not the other two players, and the two people who join the host's game have to play as your characters, not their own. This is incredibly lame, and while several people have posted very convoluted workarounds, I ain't doing all that. A multiplayer game should be playable…

I loved this game when I played it as a young teen. It was pretty disheartening when I went to replay it years later and found out it wouldn’t work on my current consoles, so I had basically abandoned hope of ever being able to play it again.
