The Walking Dead: Michonne is a 2016 episodic graphic adventure video game by Telltale Games, based on The Walking Dead comic book series and serving as a standalone spin-off of Telltale's The Walking Dead video game series. Players say this is a short but emotionally charged side story focusing on Michonne's trauma and guilt. [1][2][3] Many find it not as strong as the main Telltale Walking Dead games, but still worth playing for fans. [4][3][5] Some reviewers criticize the game for being too short, with weak supporting characters and bugs. [6][7][8]

The Walking Dead: Michonne is a short standalone mini-series, around 4 hours long (I have about 8 hours played after replaying it years later). It’s completely optional. Michonne does not appear in Clementine’s story, so this chapter isn’t necessary to understand the main series. Gameplay follows the classic Telltale formula and works fine, but unlike other seasons, you don’t get to see other players’ choices at the …

this series is seriously good, short but it hits hard. zombies aren't the main focus. it's all about human relationships, trauma and loss. michonne a strong but tragic character, haunted by guilt that feels unbearably heavy. choices are tough and honestly the only real villain is randall, that stubborn old fool who never learns even when forgiven _- the ending is ambiguous, full of questions that stick with you. and …

pretty good just too short. by the time ur attatched to the characters it ends lmao still a good short story. tho bcuz of its length it doesnt come close to the main walking dead telltale games its worth it if u get it on sale (i believe its gone for under 2 euros).

The Walking Dead: Michonne is a gripping and emotional side story that explores Michonne’s trauma and inner strength. While the narrative has tense and heartfelt moments, it’s not as strong as other Telltale TWD entries. The short length and weaker writing for some characters hold it back, but it’s still worth experiencing for fans.

The Walking Dead: Michonne, developed by Telltale Games and published by Skybound Games, delivers a short but emotionally charged narrative centered on one of the franchise’s most enigmatic figures. Unlike the earlier seasons of Telltale’s The Walking Dead, which revolved around groups of survivors and long-form storytelling, this three-episode miniseries narrows its focus to the internal struggles of Michonne, a …

neutral · AI labelView post →You're conclusion isn't wrong but you're giving it credit for the wrong things. All of those elements were present in games that came long before, TLOU was just a lot more marketable. The story-first approach made you feel in control of a zombie movie during peak zombie mania. You just binged The Walking Dead, what if you could *play* an episode... In that sense, you're right that its success opened up a whole new market that we all benefit from. I knew so many people whose game libraries…
neutral · AI labelView post →5/10. Played it on GOG. This story doesn't matter to the other games in the series, it's a side one that you shouldn't care about, it's also average and short. Choices don't matter, the ending in the last episode is the same. Gay characters are in this world, fine, but I don't care about them so the game forces you with some options to care, funny is that one of them gets killed by another gay character. So Telltale is telling that only gay can kill each other? Ok, I guess. At some point in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Easily the weakest one out the series, short (4 hours) with an unengaging supporting cast, subpar voice acting and filled with bugs. Audio being cut off or some music playing very late and characters' facial animations behaving awkwardly with some (but not severe) graphical glitches on the side Telltale's greatest lie (Every choice matters) still is in this one. I have done 2 playthroughs to verify if it really was a lie and unfortunately it is except for only a couple of "Big" choices but the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not as good as the previous episodes. The hallucinations were annoying and unbelievable but also the story behind them was never explained properly. The characters were kinda bland and some of their reactions made no sense. In addition to the usual frustrating inability to skip cutscenes and "next on TWD" segments, the quick time events were too frequent and often requiring to button mashing. It's a shame though, because the character itself had potential to really shine.

neutral · AI labelView post →The way I see it, anarchy is essentially small communities getting together to build their own tiny democracies. I think The Walking Dead graphic novel really shows what anarchy would become. Essentially, everyone would have to have a role in those societies based on their skills and knowledge. Everyone would take care of each other. Decisions would be made through councils with the members of that community where they would debate and vote on key decisions. I think there would still be…

neutral · AI labelView post →Like many others, I am confused as to why this game exists. You ever been to McDonald's? Remember Happy Meal toys there? This is what this game feels like: a small cash-grab looking like something famous but having zero relation or resemblance to it. The Walking Dead: Michonne is an uninspired product with a simplistic, predictable story. Which would be already bad, but the plotline is constantly interrupted by Michonne having a psychotic episode every five minutes, even in the middle of a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Story is pretty weak. QTEs are awful (when they're not hilariously stupid they are irritating). The only character who is competent is a black female. Everyone else is retarded. Maybe the worst game in the series?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Walking Dead: Michonne recycles all of the tropes and cliches of the other games in the Telltale line of games without the proper character development and storytelling needed to live up to the high standard set by the other titles. The Walking Dead Season 1 by Telltale is one of my favorite games of all time. The tale of Lee and Clementine will always hold a special place in my heart. Unfortunately it is a strong candidate for the weakest of the bunch. The hauntingly portrayed lost…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this season for the first time and decided to start with it before jumping into Clementine’s story. Honestly, the story is pretty decent, but nothing mind-blowing — just a solid one. I’d probably rate it around 5/10. The idea of exploring a canonical character is interesting, but it’s clearly aimed more at fans of the comics, so if you’re not familiar with them, quite a few things feel underexplained. I also don’t think the game is really worth buying at full price. You’re better…

But the story is heartbreaking and really well delivered. I've never empathized with Michonne this much before. The graphics are also really neat. The only things I'd criticize: her phantom kids appear way too many times and it gets annoying after a while. The game also glitches with window size on startup but corrects itself after about 5…
