For those who see furries in the art and are wary of what this game entails I can safely say that it is nothing sexual or weird as most of the people judge for it's community but in fact insanely narrative and true to what the game is supposed to be. This game is for those who like mystery solving games such as Ace Attorney. You play as three different characters all playing detective on the subject of "ink" and …

After sitting on it a few days, my opinion is that Threefold Recital is really, really good. If you like adventure games--like Ace Attorney, 13 Sentinels, or King's Quest--you should play it. I know there's furries on the cover art, but you don't need to be a furry; just go in blind. The Ace Attorney games are its most obvious inspiration; the game is divided up into several chapters that each have a mostly …

Taiqing. I don’t think I need to say much more. We all need wholesome best boi Taiqing in our lives. He automatically makes this game a 10/10. …Ah, but I do beg your pardon. You wanted a review of the full game, didn’t you? Allow me to start over… Threefold Recital is an absolutely spectacular video game, and I’d go as far as to say it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played!! The visuals and music are nice, but …

I have to say. This game took me by surprise. I loved it a lot. Pros: -Amazing story and characters -Beautiful art and set pieces -OST is amazing -Devs added a function to skip certain hard puzzles/segments if you want Cons: -Not every character has a portrait -some character powers were used more than others, which felt a bit unbalanced because I wanted to see more of fourfold dimension I give this game an overall …

Great game, sadly I got lied to by other reviews, this really isn't an ace attorney like, it's mostly just a visual novel with very light investigation segments Don't get it twisted, the visual novel part is great, very charming and fun, but I was looking to satisfy a very particular itch and thought this was it, this game is great, but it's not ace attorney I will update this review in like 3 years, when I buy it …

Critics, per Wikipedia
Threefold Recital received "generally favorable" from critics, according to the review aggregation website Metacritic. Genghis Husameddin, from XboxEra, rated the game an 8, adoring the pleasant visuals and music as well as its frequent use of mini-games to pace progression, but disfavors that some of the "information presented can be a bit confusing". VICE's Shaun Cichacki gave Threefold Recital a "Recommended" rating, praising "the high-quality art, cutesy style and plenty of tough but necessary conversations", but feels that "some of the translation feels a little stiff and off". positive · AI labelView post →Finished Threefold Recital. Amazing game. Then I looked up the devs, get flashed with big "NSFW FURRY WARNINGS" in their bio and it... ... it honestly gave me hope that people might play my game, read my comic... even if I make NSFW stuff!! 😁

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finished Three Fold Recital, I'll replay it in English and eventually do a spoiler heavy post. It's nothing ground breaking, just a solid, well thought out, witty and fun narrative game. While the mood and the theme is nothing like Fata Morgana, I kept on thinking about how they are both satisfying in a similar way. Phenomenal word economy too, no fillers at any point. Tight and well edited. Essentially it's a mystery written by people who knew why people enjoy mysteries. There isn't a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was pleasantly surprised with the story! While It felt slow at first, it makes an amazing use of the various concepts introduced earlier into the game, and It all slowly starts to make sense as to how everything fits into the whole picture. You also aren't really punished by missing some of the smaller details, but the game does reward you for paying attention, which I thought was pretty neat! :] Overall, 10/10 would play again for more Triratna dad jokes

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I'm familiar with the devs for... reasons, especially Zohar. I can say that there's so much improvement in his way of storytelling and scope. There was also the clear passion and interest that all the devs manifested through this game. The whole story was cool, but the developer commentary by the end made the project feel much more fulfilling and personal. That said, Threefold Recital is not without its faults. Nothing too jarring or gamebreaking though! Some misspellings (unintentional…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a very boring and nonsensical game. Apart from cute character art in dialogues it didn't provide anything fun or engaging. P.S. Some people say to play for 3-5 hours more, get to later chapters. That's not how narrative works. It's common to have a bit of a slow start, or less engaging things at the beginning, but there's a very careful limit to how much of that there can be. If it takes several hours to get to the first actually interesting things, you need to re-structure your story…

neutral · AI labelView post →I literally never write reviews, but I was completely struck by the story in this game and how charming the entire cast was, down to almost every single line of banter One of the few games on this platform that really truly deserves to have that Drama tag right front and center Translation can be a little spotty in places, but is has no bearing on the impact on any conversation 1000% recommend

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't expecting this game to be as good as it actually is. I got it because I thought the artstyle was cute and I love mystery games, and while the art style is cute and it has some pretty good mysteries, the worldbuilding was what really took me by surprise. Every new story segment introduced some new tidbit about the world, and it's pretty interesting (honestly hope the developers do some kind of sequel/prequel some day). The characters as well are all pretty likeable, and I was pretty…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best game ever, very well-designed drama show. I wonder if the developers would add conversation voice to it, which in my case would greatly improve the overall gaming experience, making it a more immersive story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to like this game, I really did, but it's too rough around the edges. The art is delightful, and it has genuine soul to it, but the puzzles, animation and gameplay are too simplistic, and the BGM get old very fast Almost gave it the thumbs up just for the wolf furry but we must have decorum
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I came for a big handsome wolf and get a reallyyyyy good and unique story and world building a really gems that i found from twitter LOL
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one is, for me, a rare and special gem among games. Stunning artwork, compelling storrytelling and atmospheric music combined with clever ideas for doing unexpected twists and humor sum up to something even greater than all the parts. An easy recommendation if you like story rich games and do not mind a lot of reading. 5 stars for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great game with a lot of heart put into it. Simple but fun. Some parts drag on but the overall characters and story are strong enough to hold it until the end.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly might be my game if the year. Cute characters, an engaging and honestly brilliant story, and a wonderful world. Definitely pick this up if you like mysteries, silly goofball characters, and twists.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, I bought this game without expecting much, but in the end I was charmed by the characters and setting. The mystery is not terribly hard to solve, but it's still enjoyable, and the breadcrumbs dropped along the way made you go "Ooh, those make sense". While the plot is not something I've never seen before, the way it's written is decent, And as I've mentioned, the setting and character make it much more enjoyable. I'd give it solid 8/10 and worth the purchase.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my first game review, so maybe I don't write well ,but this is the first game that I want to recommend to everyone to play. After finishing this game, I felt completely fulfilled by it. The storyline was interesting, with twists and meaningful insights. The visuals were beautiful, and every character was appealing, making me like all of them. Additionally, the gameplay and puzzles were diverse and never boring, and I felt an intense thrill throughout. Another thing is you don't need to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had an amazing time! I absolutely wasn't expecting what I got and I'm all the more pleased for it. Several times in the game I was genuinely surprised and it was super fun to have the curtains of realisation pulled back! Not to mention I love that I was technically given all the tools I needed to piece things together with hints along the way, it was really well implemented. The characters were introduced steadily and we got to enjoy a perfectly paced amount of time with each and the…

positive · AI labelView post →I bought it because it's furry mostly and it didn't disappoint. The art is cool and the characters are charming. The story was pretty good as well. It had some cool twists which I did not expect. I could sense that a lot of effort went into this game, it seemed really detailed. Definitely among the best furry VNs I have played.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing story. Threefold Recital is so wittily written that I sometimes wonder if the writer is truly a genius or must be utterly deranged. Although shaped as mainly a detective puzzle game, Threefold Recital doesn't really penalize you for missing the details or failing the puzzles. It also tries its best to incorporate all kinds of little games and uses all the best narrative tricks to keep all kinds of audiences happy, although sometimes falls short to its ambition and misses on UX details…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An underrated gem that genuinely took me by surprise. Threefold Recital wears its heart on its sleeve, attempting, and largely succeeding, at telling a deeply vast and ambitious story about life and existence. The narrative scope is remarkable, and the game earns every bit of its ambition. The gameplay, while intentionally simple, is thoughtfully woven into the story rather than feeling like an afterthought, a design choice that suits the experience well. Where the game truly shines is in…

positive · AI labelView post →Unexpectedly great story and plot, great mystery vibes to the whole thing, and the gameplay is quite varied. Music's awesome as well. Highly recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The impression I got from the screenshot and description lead me to believe I would be solving some grand mystery, but the actual experience is different. Not good different, but weird and bad different. Not only is it terribly written with incredibly cringe dialogue there isn't (from what I've played, which isn't much but I'm already refunding) even much actual puzzle or problem solving as you get told what to do more or less and I'm supposed to be beyond the tutorial.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the second FVN i bought on steam in the past year that is worth absolutely every penny of its (Cheap) price and it immediately made it into the top games i played this year. The game has not only a very nice story which is also a homage to a certain someone but it also has its very own unique charm in doing so. All the puzzles, twist, characters, little gimmicks, details and more make it not just an interesting and wonderful read but it also very much lets you feel the heart and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NIce story, very cozy atmosphere. Worth it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great story, nice artwork and surprisingly good game soundtracks. Plot twists is very good and the pacing is easy to swallow.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly well written characters accompanied by an excellent English translation/localization (minus a couple of typos). Nice cultural references/ references to other titles. Despite the cast, didn't need to be a furry to fully enjoy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very much recommend this. The art style is amazing, the story line incredible, the characters are beautiful and the soundtrack is impeccable. The puzzles and game play is really good as well. Definitely a 10/10 from me ^^
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Threefold Recital let me paint a foxgirl 10/10, A++ game
positive · AI labelView post →I liked the game, but I can't recomend it. The game needs a bit of polish specially on how it starts, It needs more polish. The character sprites simply aren't sufficient for the actions they do.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As it happens with indie games, there are some crude parts here and there, but any downsides cannot devalue the inventive fresh take on the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: Lovely music, and cute characters. Cons: English translation is not great, and its much closer to Point-and-click/VN than you'd expect from its tags.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool playable with good characteristics (furry, of course) Fascinating world setting Interesting plot twist... I like them About the quiz ... easy, except when I have to move my mouse fast
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Greatly enjoyed the game. The story is very well done and the general art direction is also amazing. It managed to get a good balance in gameplay and story, making it not a walking simulator filled with fetch quests (despite the nature of the game), and putting just the right amount of mini games and/or puzzles in between. Both the gameplay and the story are also very nicely paced. Can't recommend this game enough.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ITS SO PEAK I LOVE TAIQING Edit: I finished the game and I just can't calm down. Loved music, characters, the world, the story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Next up of course is BEST FURRY GAME I AM DYING TO TRY BUT CAN'T AFFORD Threefold Recital! A massive hit in china, it's part ace attorney, part platformer, part puzzle game, part visual novel, all awesome furry designs. This game looks AWESOME but got overlooked in America, and GOD i want it.
positive · AI labelView post →Thanks to everyone that came into my stream yesterday that's us completed Threefold Recital story so will be moving onto a different mystery/detective game next Monday so look forward to it uwu, Threefold Recital is a beautiful Game and i would highly recommend you go play it yourself
positive · AI labelView post →I love this game, and it has a very fun story :3 Also a fan of these character design.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will counter this discourse by saying I thought it was pretty good! Neither the best game nor the worst game ever, but it's obvious the devs love JRPGs and they made a good game. It's one of the better games I've played this year, but so far my GotY is probably Threefold Recital.
neutral · AI labelView post →furry visual novel and puzzles who doesnt like that
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty cute game PROS: -The story and characters are quite nice -Good soundtrack -Despite the impression the tutorial segment might give you, the gameplay and puzzle solving has a bit more than just "get the key put very slightly out of the way to proceed". That being said, keep in mind it's still for the most part just a VN with occasionally some puzzles and a bit of simple platforming. CONS: -The world building is a bit lacking and is mostly just told instead of being shown to you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A wonderful story with lovely characters. Eager to see what these developers work on next because this game was amazing. Can't do it justice in words
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Threefold Recital is an evocative and artistically driven adventure game that invites players into a surreal and emotionally charged journey. At its core, the game is a narrative experience steeped in symbolism and abstract storytelling, blending hand-drawn visuals, ambient soundscapes, and poetic dialogue to create an atmosphere that is as immersive as it is mysterious. Unlike conventional adventure games that rely on clear objectives and linear storytelling, Threefold Recital challenges…
