I feel kind of bad giving this game a thumbs down after sinking 47 hours into it. There must be something that keeps me interested, but honestly, I find myself incredibly bored a lot of the time playing this. The story is barebones and there are no stakes keeping you engaged, or even NPCs you might care about. It is that pure Diablo loop, but the weapons and armors you get are all pretty boring. You might end up …

Short review after completing the game and all DLC on normal, epic and legendary difficulty as a Warden: a phenomenal journey through the ancient world fighting against titans, gods and other deities in this classic ARPG. Pros: - Stunning world, environments, lore and locations set in the ancient world (ancient Greece, Egypt, China, Gaul, Scandinavia and other locations all make an appearance with all the …

I've owned this game on just about every platform they've released it on. Always come back for another playthrough. Good old school hack and slash with loot. The setting is great, the combat does exactly what it needs to do - you click things, they die, gear drops, you keep going. The dual mastery system is still one of the best in the genre. You can experiment freely without worrying about bricking your character - …

Very fun game, though other people have listed similar complaints I have -Random crashes out of the blue which can put you back some distance to the last revive point you attuned at. -Loot tables are crazy stingy. I was on the final act of the main game before I finally found an upgrade to the boots I bought off the vendor in Athens in the First Act. So unless you're willing to look up the wiki for things you want …

After countless hours wandering through the ancient ruins of Greece and the temples of Egypt, I can say with certainty that Titan Quest Anniversary Edition is a timeless masterpiece of the action RPG genre. This game perfectly captures the essence of classical mythology, transporting you on an epic journey through legendary civilizations. 60 of 275 · most liked firstWARNING! The developers of this game never intended that you could have multiple Steam accounts on ONE PC and have this game on more than one of those accounts. And especially that you (or your family/whoever) might want to play this game from these different accounts. The situation is further exacerbated by the fact that game versions can be different too and you can have DLС on some accounts and not have them on others. So the developers didn't foresee anything, — as a result, your saved…

neutral · AI labelView post →Not a very good game. Extremely slow at the beginning offers cool setting and nominally interesting systems, then rugpulls you by not telling you that the experimentation is extremely limited, and a lot of class combinations are worthless. Just play the good version of this, Grim Dawn, instead

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Titan Quest is an arena role playing game. It draws much from Age of Empires and similar games. Play single player, coop or player versus player. This game is better than some similar style games. The artwork is shown to advantage with more detail to the game. The hack and slash has faded somewhat. Played this on my Dell Precision 3480 with Arc Xe graphics and RTX A500 discrete graphics. Game is very playable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Titan Quest: Divine Fights, Mortal Grind Had fun while it lasted - about 80+ hours of it, solo run. Can’t speak for co-op or DLCs, but the base game of this Anniversary Edition is a polished resurrection of an early-2000s ARPG relic. A typical Good-vs-Evil tale wrapped in Greek Gods, Myths, and ancient sightseeing across Greece, Egypt, and Asia. Boss fights? Glorious. Loot? Tried its best to keep me breathing. The rest? Two-thirds of relentless mob traffic that made sprinting feel like a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Save corruption, ruined game, absolute moral devastation I've been playing for two months and have experienced issues with savegame files several times. Even though I disabled Steam Cloud (as advised on the forum), something strange still happens with the save files. Today, I can't find my main character. The folder with his name exists, but it's empty, weighing 0 bytes. I'm sick and tired of loss of progress and collected treasures and I have no desire to start from scratch again and again.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thousands of hours spent playing this game and it's still fun. The DLCs were underwhelming but I'm glad the game got some updates.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played both TITAN QUEST and TITAN QUEST 2. I like both games, but this one classic more. It has all iconic monsters that are missing in part two like Titan Typhon, Chimera, Minotaur, Polyphemus etc. And also that you explore more regions like Egypt, Babylonia, China and even Underworld of Hades. Play this game if you are mythological nerd like me :D

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still THE Diablo 2 killer. With hand-crafted levels, great encounters, fun character builds, interesting skills, and great sounds and visuals. An ultimate classic, and while Grim Dawn or Torchlight 2 might have moved the genre forward you never forget the classics. Plus punting ragdolls all over the place will never not be fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simply buy Grim Dawn instead. It is a complete improvement on Titan Quest in every way, besides the setting.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Occasional crashes and very often crashes during Ragnarok dlc, not very responsive controller input and the need to complete the game twice to unlock the last dlc (being an adult with responsibilities i became a casual gamer so that kind of gaming block just makes my life harder). Also, very rare actually useful item drop so most of the time you run with the same old skill set. Some synergies would be nice or an incentive to change the attack pattern from time to time. Rather old fashion game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been playing this game for YEARS. A family friend gave me their titan quest disc when I was 7, and I have THOUSANDS of hours before I ever bought it on steam. I used to steal my dads work laptop and hide under my bed, and play this game for hours each night. I'm so obsessed with this world that defined my childhood, that I have multiple sentimental copies of the physical game. Firstly, this game inspired my love of mythology and history that has followed me to this day. The story…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Titan Quest Anniversary Edition – A Classic Mythological ARPG That Still Holds Up Most of my experience comes from the original physical disc release, which is the version I am currently playing. I later noticed that I also own the Anniversary Edition on Steam, where I have 6.5 hours recorded. I am not going to replay the whole game only to repeat an adventure I already know, so this review focuses mainly on the shared core game while separating that from the Anniversary Edition improvements.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really tried to like this game but I cannot stand it anymore. It is flawed down to its basic mechanics. Movement and attack feels clunky and unresponsive/delayed. Skill trees are just a random collection of ideas that really don't flow together (or skills are too weak to have any real effect). Improvements to character skills and gear seem minimal and unprogressive. Quests are long and drawn out with no feeling of accomplishment.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was kind of sceptical before buying this game, though I really enjoyed diablo III. You know, the game has it's own years even though it's a remaster. But god I was so wrong. The game is set in a great place for an ARPG, the ancient Greece. I must say that the mythology is not as present as in Hades series, but it's not an issue. The mechanics for a game this old, are great. There is no such thing at a start as classes, you build your one from two choices of mastery. If you want to get for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a nice setting and colourful world. Good to have something different to the dark grim worlds of most ARPGs. But my god this a slow ARPG, even when turning up the game speed. As you can see, I got over 7hrs in and I was still around level 10 just slowly swatting monster beasts with my electric wand. Contrast that to Grim Dawn, and in the same amount of time I'd be twice that level with multiple skills and smashing hordes of enemies in a glorious display onscreen. The loot drops are so…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an awful game. First off, the mouse has no forgiveness in targeting either loot or monsters. I spent forever picking up items and often wound up running from the monster I was trying to target because I had clicked beyond it. Second, the designers have no sense of balance. I went from chewing through some mobs to instantly dead, because some boss mob joined in. No warning. Just dead. The content is neat, but the software (mouse control) and balance (instant death) issues are so…

negative · AI labelView post →I was not expecting to like this game as much as I did. I got Titan Quest Anniversary Edition for free on Steam on a promotional run they did a few years back, I tried it out at the time but ended up not getting much farther than level 10 and called it quits. A few years later I've gained a bigger appreciation for the ARPG genre and decided it was time to take this out of the backlog. I really liked the feel of the game and the class identity, I really felt like the masteries I chose had an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →REQUIRES MANUAL FIX Titan Quest AE is still a 32-bit game, which causes frequent crashes on modern systems. To make it playable, you must apply a 4GB (NTCore) patch manually. After that, the game ran without crashes. Negatives: • Expensive DLCs for a 20-year-old game • Requires a manual fix just to be stable • Annoying achievements Small plus: • Steam Workshop The game is playable, but it clearly shows its age. Despite being functional after fixing it, I can’t recommend it for the current…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played 15 hours, had an okay time (though the progression was hella slow), running into a gamebreaking bug that prevents me from finishing the first act. Steam forums indicate that that exact bug has been around in the original version already since 2012 at least. This game isn't worth it for me to start downloading shady files from Google Drives to fix my save game, so this is where it ends for me. Sucks, I really liked the theme and it woulda been a good game for downtime, but I guess I can…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played this game for hours when it first came out, and now I'm revisiting my student years 20 years later and it's a blast! It works great on Steam Deck (this is where I'm playing) with external mouse and keyboard!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly good and fun game even in today's standard. I like the class system that allows you to build and play the game as you want. I think I'm going to continue to play this game every now and then between other APRG leagues/seasons.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While being an older game. It is still great to play with an easy learning curve. I have put in 90 hours and have enjoyed it so far. Wanted to play the original before purchasing Titan Quest 2.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so balls compared to OG Diablo 2 it's not even funny, let alone Torchlight 1/2. Movement feels like you're moving with bowling balls tied to your legs, and the 1-2 active spells you have that aren't toggles (on the game's version of Sorceress mind you) take 10 business days to cast. At least the Chinese / Egyptian areas looked kinda cool, won't bother to finish it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A wonderful game. It does not look it's age, runs well on Windows 11 and is a total pleasure to play. I love Diablo II, but find Titan Quest even more enjoyable to play and for a far better price. Heartily recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Holds up nicely in 2026 but Grim Dawn is simply better. Graphics are nothing special but not terrible. There's a simple utility to respec your character's skills and points if wanted :) It like a simpler version of Diablo 4 and without the online crud but Grim Dawn does everything this game does but better
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Given THQ Nordic's ruZZian moderator "Autentist", who denies / defends ruZZian atrocities in Ukraine, and THQ's protection of them, I can only recommend a boycott of all their titles. I tried to reach out to them to solve this, but the only thing that happened is that the moderator hid their location within their profile. A reply to my inquiry several months ago was never answered, which tells me that THQ simply wants to hide their support for the ruZZian invasion of Ukraine.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I know that on steam I only have 24.3 hours, but I used to play it on GOG games, so I can assure you that I have many, many more hours. Titan quest is one of my most favorite games ever, I've been playing since I was a kid and to this day I still quote it. "THE NECKLESS!" comes out of my mouth whenever someone finds a missing neckless. There is no way to not recommend this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game really like the setting and premise one of the best arpgs!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've had some fun playing this game. Yet, I've left a recommendation of "No". There are many reasons for this. For frame of reference, I've got around 1300+ hours in POE, 1000+ in the Diablo series, finished Torchlight 1 & 2 multiple times, played through Grim Dawn twice, and I've forgotten what else. Here are a few of my reasons for not recommending this game (at least to friends). Inventory is possibly the worst of all the ARPG type games I've ever played. It's a huge annoyance at the best…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At some point I have to realize that these games aren't for me. Holding the left mouse button for hours on end, occasionally clicking the right mouse button and throwing in a 1 or 2 if I feel frisky only to run through barely designed levels, killing 50 recolors of every enemy type, all in the name of mostly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ randomized gear that offers 0,3% more ballsack protection than my current one. Occasionally kiting a boss is really the height of gameplay here.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When opening the game and pressing any buttons on keyboard it's the same as if I pressed win+R buttons. Can't do anything after, only way to get out is to exit the game. Edit. Tried on new pc. Keyboard worked for half an hour, then I started getting the same old "press any button and a different Windows page open" bug. Press "E" and it opens Windows Settings.. I'm sure there is a way to fix that but also UI scaling is horrible, so I just can't bother. It doesn't matter what resolution I use, I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game decided to try this after playing Titan Quest 2 and took a bit to get started but i am having fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game while an aged game by today's standards, still holds up surprisingly well. After many updates, some added DLCs, and even adding an additional tier on the masteries, this game is still a blast to play. The lore is easy to follow, the game is enjoyable, and there are lots of player build customization options. Playing this in 2025 is still fun. 10 out of 10 highly recommend for anyone looking for a themed top-down RPG.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: A sprawling ancient‑world ARPG with tons of class combos and strong mod support, but clunky combat, dated design, slow early pacing, and instability hold it back. Still engaging for build‑tinkerers despite its age. PROS: ➕Steam Workshop integration ➕Lots of class combinations ➕Can increase game speed ➕In-game loot filter CONS: ➖Gold is not auto pickup ➖Clunky combat feel ➖Crash to desktop count = 7 (5 of those with after using a mod) ➖Beginning of the game is incredibly slow and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is one of my favourite games of all time for nearly 20 years. got it for free simply by owning the original game and expansion before this released <3 and for anyone looking for more games like this: grim dawn, diablo 2, path of exile
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I finally leave a review and say goodbye to titan quest once and for all. I had my fun with it and for the first 4 acts, the game is great. You get new levels, new items etc. and you feel the increase in power. I do not think this was meant to be prolonged as it is now with 3 dlcs because the gameplay loop is the same, you fight 99% of the time and advance the story this way. It can be fun at first but in time it really wears you down. I tried Atlantis after finally finishing the game and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good escape from other ARPGs. Runs great. Definitely put reshade on it to make it look modern. Controller support is a lot of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Have a bunch of time on OG. Great Hack'n'Slash ARPG. Honestly this and Grim Dawn are super fun because of the class combination system. Worth the purchase but fair warning without Ragnarok and Atlantis the game doesn't feel complete. Ragnarok introduced a class and new weapon type, the weapon drops in base game even if you don't own the DLC (can't use without DLC). Atlantis added an "Elite" skill to each class that you cannot use without the DLC. I have literally stopped playing the game due to…

There are many layers you may use to becoming a player and many ways to win !!! I use to play the game with my son's years ago but now that they have redone it I thought I would give it a try once again !!! It's fun and easy to learn for a 73 year old man !!! lol thank you TGS !!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Core gameplay is good but too buggy to recommend. Crashes randomly and character sometimes gets stuck in terrain. Even one of the loot filter options isn't working properly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pointlessly obtuse, boring, slow-leveling and somehow the only way the game looks good is in screenshots as it seems to have an inconsistent framerate and/or player character has a bizarre lunging effect to their walk. Maybe late game is immaculate, no idea because ill definitely never put that many hours into this. When I was younger I would play Fate regularly and occasionally see tidbits from this game, in my mind at the time I thought this had to be the Holy Grail of hack and slash. No, as…
