I've tried playing this game three times, and each time I am turned off by its *profoundly* unlikable protagonist. Julia is bitter, rude, ungrateful, self-pitying, and none of it in an interesting way. I'm interested in the politics and other characters in the story, but I have to experience it through the lens of Julia, and that is just not a pleasant experience. When you're a VN, that's a death knell.

It's good, the story is mostly good, the new protagonist is AMAZING, a fantastic realisation of Lasombra, from their unique method of embrace through through to her struggle with the abyss and cruelty. My character was a vampire in Trondheim, who moved to York and then New Orleans and NYC. I learned so many things, like the Harrying of the North, Staple City laws, early NYC music halls, and more.
