Know What You’re Getting Into Before Playing This Game! I feel it’s important to help readers understand the true nature of the game they’re looking into. Unfortunately, the store page for this title might mislead you. I genuinely believe you can only enjoy this game if you know exactly what you’re signing up for. Otherwise, you might end up like me—hating it. To be clear, this isn’t necessarily a bad game. In fact, …

This game absolutely rocked my world. I have played it through twice now. I won’t give any spoilers, but the ending of the game was drastically changed with a few small decisions. This is not one of those games where you make choices and nothing is actually affected. It really makes you think. HUGE shoutout to this entire team, and the devs working on this for 12 years! The voice acting was top-notch, and the fact …

Very surprising game for me. It is more of a visual story novel where you greatly influence what will happen in the future. It has great graphics and well-done voice over and subtle music. You also participate in turn based battles but even if they are fun they are definitely not the main thing in this game. But what I praise most is the story: it is interesting, unpredictable and I am looking forward to what end I …

The art is amazing.... but i am not sure who decided to put the tutorials firectly AFTER you finish the relevant types of events. why the hell would that not go at the start of the events... this applies to pretty much every tutorial... it only explains whats going on after you finish something the voice acting is kinda bad too. like... annunciation is there, but it just feels wooden, like reading lines, not acting. …

I haven’t finished the game yet, but I can already say that this gaming experience is absolutely worth the price. Story: 9/10 Combat: 8/10 Graphics: 10/10 Music: 9/10 Honestly, I’m surprised at how unknown this game is considering its quality. Maybe it’s because it’s a debut project, but either way, I wish the developers the best of luck. What they’ve done with 2D graphics is just incredible. The game is polished to …

81% of the 36 Steam reviewers we collected recommend VED. The complaint that keeps coming up: voice acting feels wooden and robotic. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ehm, no. Strange game. I did give it only 20 minutes, true, but I can already tell it is not for me. I was hoping for tactical battles and all I got is an ability that does damage and change position and another ability that prevents enemy buff. So you change your position left and right and deal damage until enemy is dead. It is as dull as it sounds. The cinematics in game look interesting and perhaps someone can become fan of this game for them, but I came for tactical combat and that looks…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →VED is a turn-based game with a great story narrative. your choices will affect your story and how everything turns out. It was a new and nice experience for me to try out and I was definitely fascinated by the art design, soundtracks and gameplay along with how everything turned out. I was expecting more boss fights when I saw the trailer of the game for the first time. There were few of them but not that many as the focus here is more on the story rather than gameplay, however it was still…

I cover a wide range of genres both paid and unpaid, providing unbiased opinions as well as regular giveaway events. I can't recommend this for game play I was expecting a game that I could actually sit down and play, rather than having to skip through 10 minutes of visual novel dialogue with characters and voice acting that sounds and looks so blatantly artificial even if they do claim it to be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played it long enough to know that for me, this game has long conversations that just says things just to say things, and most things they say make no since. It's a lot of fluff that you can't get into nor care, it's as if they put it in to prolong the game. If you choose what you would like to say, like standing up for yourself and being a man with a set, the game will take things away from you that you have already earned. I don't mind games like this don't get me wrong. But it has way to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played up to Chapter 5 and unlocked 3 rare achievements! Great game! The art and atmosphere are amazing, especially in the magical world. The combat system is fun and full of possibilities, especially when clearing all the levels. Beating all monsters at max buffs! It’s cool that you can go back to into levels if you don't like where you ended up in the story. I also enjoyed provoking NPCs into aggression Even the professor in the prison shot me. Overall, it’s a fun experience—I recommend it.

Turn-based combat, impactful choices, and a unique world-shifting mechanic create an emotional and immersive experience. A must-play for fans of dark fantasy and strategy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everyone sounds weird and robotic, but the gameplay is neat and the story is interesting outside of the characters being a bit illogical. "The blind guy got lost? New hire with no idea what he is doing is asking a question about what to do? I lost respect for that guy!" Dafuhk? "When will you start thinking about others and not just yourself?" YOU GOT MAD AT ME IN THE SAME BREATH FOR HELPING THE NEIGHBOR IN A FIRE!?! HELLO!?! (it's too long because I am wordy and purple prosey) But tl;dr, I do not recommend this game, for it comes off as unfinished with it's dialogue, the art feels generic, and the battle system feel rng based rather than intuitive.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think the game is quite solid. I like the voice over work even tho some characters dont take time to breathe in between lines lol. The story is quite interestin as well. I didn't think the game would be a mix of the main character's current life and a fantasy like world. The combat is a bit straightforward and can get a bit difficult in some spots. Some may chalk this game up to a visual novel of sorts but I don't. the art style is quite nice. I like the color palette. For the price tag ur…

neutral · AI labelView post →Casual, but not bad, but I refunded it anyway, because I didn't like it, but I know some will and it doesn't deserve a negative rating. Why didn't I like it? And keep in mind that my critique is based on "this is too casual for me, but not bad per se". The battles are way too simple. Building synergies with your abilities is a nice thought experiment, but it becomes old rather sooner than later. The story has choices and paths and everything that makes it intriguing, but I couldn't sit…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →VED is an ambitious narrative-driven RPG developed by Karaclan and published by Fulqrum Publishing, aiming to fuse classic role-playing sensibilities with modern storytelling structure and experimental mechanics. From the outset, the game positions itself as something more contemplative than action-oriented, placing emphasis on choices, atmosphere, and the psychological weight of its world rather than raw spectacle. It is a title that clearly wants the player to slow down, absorb its ideas, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game that surprised me. It's laid back and has an excellent story. Music and graphics (hand drawn) are nice. You can play through multiple times and unlock different endings. What touched me the most is at the end of this game is says it is dedicated to the creators sister (R.I.P.). Wow! What a work of Love! Highly recommend! Play on story mode to just breeze through it and unlock things with ease. Its a chill and thrilling story. All text is read aloud so just sit back and enjoy the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s been a long time since I’ve played a game like this—pure, light, and fun. This is definitely my number one game for the amount of laughter its dialogues have brought me. The flow of the game reminds me of The Banner Saga and Pyre. You progress smoothly through the story, overcoming obstacles via gameplay. In a world obsessed with games featuring endless grinding, we definitely need more soulful titles like this.

positive · AI labelView post →The writing is cringy but the lore has aspects that are pretty cool. I recommend putting the audio in russian and keeping english subtitles, or it is really hard to get through kinda like some dubbed anime out there. What the game really excels at is the unique turn based combat mechs, artsy animations, and sound design. Overall its a really cool game wish there were more with this art direction. 7/10

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a charming game and I'll certainly do a deep dive into what leads to what but there does seem to be a large disconnect at a lot of places. Like what led to the fire hand winning despite me CLEARLY throwing my lot into with Impulse? Also how Knox said "Your People" won despite the ONLY thing I did for the sorcerors was free them and not actively beat them up during their ritual. And also what's with all of these extreme leaps in narrative? I felt like my path was a "wrong" path with how…

Story: 6.5/10, passable but not stellar. Gameplay: 3.5/10, this is really a visual novel with a tacked on half rpg, cool idea, needs more refinement. Art: 8.5/10, really quite impressive tbh. Overall: 5/10, can't recommend.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →VED is short, but replayable and very beautiful RPG/Visual Novel hybrid with an interesting and somewhat challenging combat system. There are several factions to support, two romance options, some little side-quests. The game is fully voices in several languages, and I highly recommend playing with sound, even if you're like me, and generaly prefer to turn it off. The only downside is that I felt the story to be somewhat confusing at times.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its visual novel with turn based combat. There two parts of gameplay: in real world you talk with people and make choices,in magic world you do simple quests and fight monsters. If you like JRPG or Baldur's gates you can try with big discount, game very short,i finished story in around 5 hours.i still recommend but for 10 euros price or less.
