What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 119 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (227 of 252 positive).
Players praise the game's flight mechanics and relaxing atmosphere. [1][2][3] The story and Norse mythology themes are well-received. [4][5][6] Some find the game too short or the puzzles too easy. [7][8][9]

Voron: Raven’s Story has a good idea at its core, but right now it feels far too unfinished to really recommend. At first, the game gives a genuinely fun impression. Flying freely through the sky as a raven feels charming, relaxing, and full of potential. For a little while, it seems like this could become a very enjoyable exploration adventure. Sadly, once the real structure of the game starts showing itself, that …

This little game is wonderful, not only bc i really love ravens, but because the story is genuinely touching and the gameplay is a lot of fun. there are a few puzzles and challenges here and there that aren't too difficult, but the best part by far is the exploration. it's so enjoyable being able to fly across beautiful islands and magical environments full of secrets and hidden places to discover!! I honestly loved …

A pretty good winged creature simulator. Very well-thought mechanics; flying is rarely this fun in video games. The visuals are nice, too, and there's a simple story based on Norse mythology. However. If my job was to professionally remove fun from video games, I could hardly think of a better idea than to let the player fly freely at first and then take it away from them by introducing a stamina system that - …

“VORON: Raven’s Story” is a compact but atmospheric adventure that embraces a perspective most games ignore: the quiet, weightless life of a raven bound to a mythic destiny. Rather than overwhelming players with complex systems or endless worlds, it builds its identity around mood, flight, and a sense of spiritual purpose. The opening moments set the tone immediately. You awaken in a serene Norse-inspired landscape, …

Even if i didn't finish the game for the moment, Voron is incredible. The flying sensation relly is incredible, and overall the games feel great. You won't be stressed, the atmosphere is incredible, even tho the game might be challenging sometimes. Unless you hate cozy, good games for low-price go for it

Anyone who is familiar with norse mythology would definitely enjoy this game, but It's totally OK even if you're not. However, Graphics in this game could use a little work. well, considering that this is an indie game, It's acceptable though. It's 8/10 for me. I totally enjoyed this game. I'd recommend this game who... - enjoys flight-sim game - loves birds. (especially crows) - enjoys chill-adventure game - is well-versed in…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Voron is a cute game about a raven collecting souls. The puzzles are fun and are not to hard. Theres so much to explore in this beautiful world! With no time limit on how much you can explore you can really take your time. I really enjoy finding the lore and mythos that is hidden throughout the world. I cant recommend this game enough!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to like this game, and I realize this is an indie developer who made the game, but I've seen better from other indie devs (e.g. Matt Nava, who's practically an expert in how movement and the flow state are supposed to hand in hand). The main issue is in how controlling the bird works: there's no free look of any kind, so it kinda makes it harder to enjoy the game. This is in contrast to games such as The Pathless and AER: Memories of Old, which feel good to play. Secondary issues…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i feel conflicted about this game. the open world exploration parts are fantastic, if a bit clumsy. but the puzzle levels are claustrophobic & restrictive by comparison. the demo only included the starting open world exploration island, and none of the puzzle levels, so finally jumping into the full game felt a bit like a bait & switch... i might try to play more, but at the moment i'm not really interested in doing time trial flying puzzles.

(26th 5PM GMT) It's a cute looking 3D game where I get to play as a raven exploring, doing puzzles and guiding souls. I was given the key by the dev and I'm excited to play it!! (thank you so much)
positive · AI labelView post →Nice cute little game game. Little Kitty Big City about birds :D Bird controls and camera are awesome. It's a bit janky but considering it's made by solo developer I've got nothing but praises and admiration
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You play as a bird. You scream. You steal shiny stuff. Perfect game. CAWW/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →CAW CAW!!! Very good game It's a bit short, but the controls are satisfying and the story is cute Had a couple minor issues with bugs but reloading a prior save fixed them each time The secret tablets were fun to find, and it was relatively easy to 100% the achievements, only took me a touch over 6 hours to do so and I took my time with it, you could reasonably do that in 3-4 hours if you wanted. I feel like even with getting all the achievements, there are a few secrets I may have missed…

neutral · AI labelView post →A beautiful yet empty experience. Map is large but has very little to offer. gameplay boils down to going from one location to the next with very little variation in how you approach traversal. puzzles are brain dead easy and kinda break the flow.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but sweet, the music is fantastic. The puzzles could've been a little harder as it only took me 3hrs to fully complete the game. But for what it is, its short and sweet

I had played through the demo twice and was expecting a little, 2-3 hour game with alright story and gameplay. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's got birds. You play as a raven. It's a perfect game for that alone. It's a short short game (less than four hours for both endings), and is fairly easy to play so most folk can get into it. Knowledge of Norse mythology isn't needed at any point.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Success! Hard won over 29 hours with my #ERCFv3 on my #Voron Trident AWD 350. No false filament runouts triggered, so my redesign of the hot-end switch is working. Just a few clogs, the usual filament unload fails and a blocked nozzle which I dealt with by just putting a new nozzle on. Amazed I saved this after so long on the print bed.
neutral · AI labelView post →I like cozy/relaxing games and I like exploration-based games, but unfortunately I can't recommend this one. The graphics, the story, and the flight controls all feel half-finished. If this was an Early Access title then I could maybe excuse it, but this game is claiming to be a full release and it certainly doesn't feel like it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls seem designed to facilitate challenge rather than fun. Sort of the opposite problem games like Journey, The Pathless, or ABZU have. Problem is the challenge comes from the controls, not from the level design. When I think of playing the game again, I think about how not enjoyable the movement is. I'd rather play any of the other games mentioned again. Fun > challenge. While not mutually exclusive, one shouldn't come at the cost of the other.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good game. It really is! I had fun with it. The story is interesting and the flight mechanics are lovely. The problem is that there isn't enough of it. That dosen't sound like a real complaint but it is. This game genuinely feels incomplete, like its only half done. After following the creator on tiktok I was so excited to see the game finally done, but I'm dissapointed because it dosent actually feel like it is. The story is the biggest area this shows. There's definitely…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the general sound design throughout the game so far. The birbs are so birb-like, I love it! The flying puzzles remind me a bit of some of the Spyro worlds that are just flight missions, and even the portals remind me of that game as well. The vibe of the game however is more like that of Journey. Might make you feel some things along the way, and will DEFINITELY make you laugh out loud when you crash for the tenth time while learning to fly! Will add more thoughts when I finish the game.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is gorgeous. It's a relaxed paced, warm-feeling game that frames the player as a raven. The puzzles are relaxed and don't have anxiety inducing time restraints. I see others saying that this game's style needs some work, but i disagree - the simplistic art style of this game feels very intentional and, in my opinion, compliments the gameplay well. The story is super interesting and the flight mechanics feel well thought out! I've been waiting for this game to release for a long while…

neutral · AI labelView post →VORON: Raven's Story has been an absolute joy to play. It's a very immersive simulator game. I love the graphics and mechanics. Highly Recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In VORON, you play as a mystical raven who can glide, dive, guide souls… and occasionally forget how wings work. It’s basically a spiritual journey mixed with “bird goes bonk.” The world is gorgeous, the music is calming, and the puzzles make you feel smart for at least 5 seconds before you fly straight into a wall. 9/10 — taught me spiritual wisdom and also how not to fly. P.S: The flight mechanics are great! It’s me, Dio, who’s just a bit overcaffeinated when it comes to the controls.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a fan. It's about ~4 hours start to finish ( though I did miss a few tablets ( 4 ) apparently ) but I rather enjoyed it. The flight controls take some getting used to but overall, I'm happy with it. :D I'm all for more games like this vs the battle-pass, loot-box, buy our skins hell most games have become. Hat-tip to the developer :P
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not a large game, but it's sweet, well executed and in general a really nice experience. Recommend it if you want a sweet lil story and flying game that you can finish in or two sittings.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! played the demo and immediately got hooked. Definitely worth playing! Also, Bird.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is awsome! the controls and overall free flying experience was so calming. This is really probably one of the best games i've ever played, i really love how you implemented not only the feeling of being able to actually fly as a raven but also the storyline is frickin awsome! I would SERIOUSLY recommend this to people who like these types of games. VORON is so well made and an even better made story! What i did dislike was a few bugs and stuff (very minimal), and also how short…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed game — especially the feeling of flight and the vaib (top). The story is interesting, the puzzles too (it's great that I can restart them at any time). Overall, I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to spend some good time in the sky, dive into Norse mythology, and enjoy a clever puzzles)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →camera and gamepad controls feel great and it's super cozy and chill game like Stray or even Journey vibes BUT YOU CAN FLY, 10/10 not so many games like this on STEAM
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a great little game so far. Premise seems promising with soul collecting but at the start I'm enjoying the very chill vibe and relaxing to fly around and explore. The soundtrack is impressive as it sets the mood and ties everything together!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved my Voron v0.2 build, so much fun and got lucky without many problems. The display kept screwing it up, so disconnected it and it's been happy since. Which Voron? At that price for pegboard, printing some multi board might be cheaper! I considered doing that since I have a big boy printer, too, but decided to stick with the pegboard.

neutral · AI labelView post →Beautiful game with fletched out flying mechanics. I love being able to fly around freely in an open world such as this, with a heartwarming story of family, and having to deal with loss. If i were to give some critique, it would be some bugs where i clipped through the map, and the ending felt rushed. I wish for the ending to be updated to have more closure (like the dramatic curve), and a sequel where we get to see more of Asgard/Land of the gods. Overall, good game with (IMO) lacking…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →He just a silly lil' guy doing his best, but he is your hero. Lovely to play and experience. The stakes are serious and the crow family is heart-warming. Personally would like a dedicated caw button (or if you want to call caws croaks, then croak button, hah), since it gets replaced with a little trill at some point. Sincerely, a crow appreciator.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed the beginning part a lot, and the rest of it a little. Going around just doing raven things is more fun than a mostly-linear quest to collect all the souls and bla bla gods or whatever. But i guess that's Untitled Goose Game, and this is a game that decided to go a different way. It's still nice, the raven controls are both intuitive and fun, and it's cool that cawing remains integrated into useful things throughout, it's just ... the game starts out being "how to raven" and then…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game play is simple but enjoyed it. while simple you don't have to do tasks all at once and can just fly around and explore or interact with the world. tho the story is fun and ties in some mythology behind it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute game with a nice story and music, just wish the controls were better on controller for flying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a small game with a philosophical context. The controls are not very comfortable at the start, but when you get used to them, it becomes easy. The aggressive ending was kind of disappointing (too fast and easy). And it feels like the last Tower has too little in it, but it may be just me. Overall, it's a good game for an evening
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lovely game! A bit rough around the edges sometimes, but it was a good time. Flying becomes fun after you get good at it (keyboard & mouse is probably best), which took me pretty much my entire first playthrough. The mechanics are neat and the world looks great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cozy game about being a raven, with simple puzzles thrown in to the mixture for good measure. Topped with some Norse based lore and there we go. We got a game reminiscing the likes of Journey, Stray, and Spirit of the North. The visual style was also pleasing to the eye, not every game needs to be an unoptimized unreal engine mess to look good. :) Do I recommend playing? Yes. Thank you Merk Games for the key via Keymailer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good indie game. Nice story, nice graphic, and nice music. However the controls definitely need more polish, like input lag, and sometimes I cannot take off from the ground but jump and fall. The animation of the character i good, natural and bird-like but can make more variation to make it better. And the movement of virtual camera also need more improvement. Because sometimes the point of focus is tricky. Especially when I fall down from the air, the camera will usually shoot the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wonderful little game with a fantastic premise. The controls feel very good (once you get over the initial awkward baby-raven stage). I found that the story built up kind of slowly at first, but hits hard near the end. Everything in the world is diagetic. There are no HUDs, no objective markers, no health bars, no pressure to do anything but be a raven and solve puzzles. The very Norse-flavored storyline makes for some very cool events and mechanics as you progress. Fly around. Be a raven.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall a good experience, with this price tag I think game is good and can be enjoyed by the community who like this kind of art work. few bugs which can be ignored this game is decent.
