"I really wanted to love this, but it just became a chore." I went into Wolfenstein: The New Order wanting to absolutely love it, especially with all the hype surrounding the reboot of BJ Blazkowicz. But honestly? The execution left me deeply frustrated, and by the end, I was just glad it was over. The Flaws That Ruined the Ride: The Puzzle Sections Sucked Bad: Every time the game started building up great momentum …

As an American writing this in October of 2025, playing this game is very cathartic and reminds me of the good ol' days when Nazis were the bad guys. Good times. I am having fun with this for what I paid ($4), for sure.

It's 2026 and there has never been a better time to blow up Nazis. Incredibly fun gameplay with a story that has no right to be as compelling as it is. Rich and varied characters. Doesn't overstay its welcome.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is a great FPS game with satisfying shooting, a surprisingly good story and a unique alternate-history setting. The weapons feel powerful, the characters are memorable and the campaign stays interesting from start to finish. The story was much better than I expected and personally, I enjoyed it a lot more than The Old Blood because it had stronger characters and a more engaging campaign. …

The game is good and I liked it, it's a really good shooter - meat, swearing, etc. The graphics are good in my opinion, the machines and Nazis look perfectly scary - these huge robots look terrifying, but that's great, it works for the atmosphere. The game also has a lot of great jokes and the plot is presented in a cool way. The impact of the weapons is the best, everything gets blown apart, etc. The only memorable …

Critics, per Wikipedia
Wolfenstein: The New Order received "generally favorable" reviews, according to the review aggregator website Metacritic. The combat mechanics of the game received praise. Daniel Hindes of GameSpot felt that the intensity and variety of the combat in the game has granted the series "a breath of fresh air", and believes that it managed to fulfill his nostalgic expectations from the series. Ryan Taljonick of GamesRadar called it "satisfying". Simon Miller of VideoGamer.com lauded the game's shooting and stealth mechanics, naming the former as "solid". Similarly, GameSpot's Hindes noted that the stealth was "simple but effective", and named it one of the best things about the game. Steve Boxer…

neutral · AI labelView post →That color scheme. This looks like a screenshot from that alternate history Wolfenstein game where Nazis win WW2 and take over the USA.

Does it need to explore the themes and narratives of the culture? Or could it simply star the most famous Jew of all time — Jesus Christ himself? youtu.be/8dkB-KTMB3o

neutral · AI labelView post →Apparently there’s a Nazi hollering about how Wolfenstein is anti-Nazi and yeah man that’s why billions of people buy the game, realize that you are disliked enough to be a villain in a major gaming franchise
neutral · AI labelView post →this is also conceptually funny because like the only reason to play SNES Doom is to see the impressive feat of getting a cutting edge PC game running on hardware that just barely handles Wolfenstein 3D making it HD 60FPS with KB+M just means you're playing someone's Doom clone instead of real Doom

Been on a fun little kick playing the Sniper Elite series and the Wolfenstein series and want some suggestions for what can replace it once I run out of campaign missions to do in those games. While I would love to replay the campaign missions of COD, I ain't paying like $30-60 for a two decade plus old game from EA. While I do prefer shooting nazi nazis, I don't mind suggestions that have you shooting fascists in general.…

A **hacker** was once a computer enthusiast, and the media made it into a name for criminals who break into other people's systems. Decades ago, people started using **baud** when they meant BPS. Not many technical people back then, but it wasn't possible to correct the few who made the mistake. Even one top member of the CCC (Chaos Computer Club) said it's just “baud” now, no matter the real meaning. (baud = symbols per…

He was very strict about what video games my brother & I could play, one big rule being that we couldn’t play games where we killed humans (i.e. monsters were fair game). He let us play the Castle Wolfenstein games.
