Tried this with the wife and son last night. We're all D&D fans. After about 30ish minutes we were bored. "Narrated by Laura Bailey" yeah ok... she read the intro, but then in the actual adventure it's all silent save for some generic music. The gameplay isn't engaging either, it's just drag your pawn onto a spot and roll dice. Also, as a group of 3 it forced us to bring along a 4th CPU player... this could be …

I have played the alpha of this game with the devs YEARS AGO. This game is a work of passion from an amazing team of devs. The voice actors are mostly celebrities (especially in the french dubs.) We just finished the game with my group. Amazing story even if some parts were crazy. It's hard to tell when some decisions are serious or just for fun. It's important that you play it with friends.

This is a great tabletop role playing experience for up to 4 people. This form of storytelling/gameplay works great for folks who enjoy narrative based, tabletop roleplaying games. It took my group about 12 hours to get through all of the campaigns. (about six, 2 hour sessions) I could see replaying the game, but having experienced it once would definitely shape how you approach it the second time. The art style is …

Notch one up for Critical Role on recommending a fun party game. You and up to three other friends choose characters to go on a D&D-lite adventure, where you make choices by dragging your miniatures around the board, often times rolling a d100 to find out whether you succeed or fail, and the story progresses onward. This game CAN be played solo, but SHOULD be played with a group of friends speaking out the parts out …

neutral · AI labelView post →I feel it's maybe a 2/5 - 3/5. It's a good game with animation, but I find it a little too simple and it gets boring after a while. I preferred For The King as a co-op game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a FANTASTIC couch coop game. This is also a wonderful game if you have a friend who is like "I dOn'T PlAy ViDeO GaMeS...." Just tell them, "Dude it's like a choose your own adventure book, you don't have to do anything but choose a path." "Well I don't read..." At that point I give you permission to ditch them, you don't need that kind of negativity in your life. Anyways, this is a wonderful indie game, it has not gotten the hype it deserves. Please buy it and support these…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I always wanted to experience what a Dungeons and Dragons session with friends feels like, but I never had the oportunity because that kind of games are not popular here where I live. But this games achieve that experience completely and feels like real role board game with friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is rare for a game to surprise me these days, but this one absolutely does. The writing doesn't take itself too seriously, and it is a clear labor of love. Some of the plot developments are completely bonkers, but that's genuinely part of the charm. I kinda liken it to "D&D lite" - lots of dice rolls, though some characters are better able to tilt the odds in your favor. Best enjoyed with friends, alcohol, or some combination thereof.

neutral · AI labelView post →Ok, I think the idea was neat.. but we stopped playing it after a bit, as it wasn't so much a game, and we didn't feel like the choices mattered that much. Maybe it wasn't for us. But overall, it's not a bad game as a "Choose your own adventure" style game. But it wasn't for us.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a fantastic game, have only done act 1 so far with two different groups, And the outcomes were different for each with new scenes as well.. Also works perfectly with steam deck or a controller!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[Disclaimer : I'm a moderator for Ishtar Games and I got the game for free] I'm having a lot of fun with my friends on this game. We had already played to the demo, and even if at the moment we only did chapters we had already done (first one changed a bit since then), we still laugh or cheer at every critical failure or success (they all bring something more than simple failures & success) and we are still excited to discover what those will bring us. This can go from a simple "1 more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really charming and simple RPG. It's genuinely great fun, and the fact that only 1 person needs to buy it feels really generous. Netcode worked flawlessly and me and my two friends didn't experience a single connection issue. Plus, 2 hours in and we haven't finished the first chapter, so it's probably pretty long for a single campaign. Not sure about the replay-ability yet though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far, so good. Fun game with friends.

neutral · AI labelView post →Cool coop story-telling game, best with friends. Felt like a choose your own adventure book
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has very interesting and unique mechanics. I thought it was well made and the story was fun. It is probably more fun playing multiplayer, but I played solo and it was still enjoyable. I also was extremely grateful that the game was void of sexual themes and innuendos... even Disney/Pixar can't keep away from them!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worlds of Aria is a fantastic pick if you’re looking for a light, story-driven RPG experience with a D&D flavor. It’s great for solo players since you can adventure alongside CPU companions, making it easy to enjoy the game even when friends aren’t around. The story is shaped by the choices you make, giving each playthrough a nice sense of roleplay and consequence. Pros: Great for solo play – Being able to play with CPU companions makes it accessible anytime. Choice-driven story – Your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute little game for a group of friends, only one person needs to own a copy for everyone to play together! :D Has some good replayability with the different choices you all can make, and the variety of cast members and story should give several hours. Have only gotten through about half of the base game as of this review.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great light-role playin game. First campaign lasted me and my group about 3 fun hours. Recommended, specially with the fact that only the host needs to pay for the game, the rest of the party can join for free with the friendpass.

positive · AI labelView post →Client Announcement! I'm supporting Ishtar Games with their Switch release of Worlds of Aria! A lovely adventure game narrated by the Laura Bailey which, if you're a fan of D&D and pen and paper, I'm sure you'll love the game!
neutral · AI labelView post →I recently saw Worlds of Aria from the High Rollers' chaos twins stream and it looked like a blast. I just cleared Act 1 and am not disappointed ^^ Love the cooperative storytelling element!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great party game regardless if you like tabletops or are familiar with them at all, simple, easy to pick up and enjoyable! Chapter sizes are palatable and perfect for a quick sit down session with a few laughs and skill checks!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highly recommended experience with friends Worlds of Aria was an absolute delight to play together with friends. The gaming experience is very rewarding, with feeling like your choices actually matter to change the outcomes even with good or bad rolls. With a good story-line and sense of humour, me and my friends had the time of our lives! The artstyle is just the cherry on top, with awesome animations and little details in the environment that just give an added 'liveliness' to the whole…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommended this game for anyone into dice related role play. but be advised this game has it's pros and cons. con 1 I think this game is clearly meant to be played with other people in order to get the most out of it's game-play elements it can be played solo but it fells like one of those play with a group of people games. con 2 it has only one difficulty making it a jump into the deep pool to learn and if you get really unlucky or don't figure out how to properly play a character, it can…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great and unique game. I was impressed when the demo came out, and playing a little solo, but the game is even more fun online with friends. It has a friend pass that your friends can download for free, so only one person needs to own the game. After playing, my friends mostly decided to buy their own copy because it's a lot of fun. It doesn't have deep narratives or anything, but a lot of complex variability in silly situations. The game is very light and casual, extremely goofy,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love making trailers for this game! Worlds of Aria is out today and is a great way to play a TTRPG with your friends online. Friends that play together stay together 😉 Also Hennifer AKA Patacrête is queen 🐔👑 youtu.be/KacPxIHN52Y?...
neutral · AI labelView post →Sometimes, I’m afraid of writing scenes that are too linear. Other times, I feel like we’ve gone a little too far. (the worst part being, if we do our job wrong, the player may not realise the interactivity 😭) #NarrativeDesign #WorldsOfAria
neutral · AI labelView post →Good game, played it with my wife and we really enjoyed our time! It's on sale as of 9/17/2026 so please pick it up if you can!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Have been playing this weekly with a group of friends for a short while - it is great hilarity playing through, with a variety of different outcomes and good humour leading you through. If you're looking for serious, deep roleplay? This isn't for you - but a bit of fun, with slightly silly characters, using tabletop mechanics and you're having a lovely time. The friends pass is a fantastic addition allowing you to take friends along for the journey, but for those dedicated have their own copy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worlds of Aria, developed by Ludogram and published by Ishtar Games, is a cooperative narrative RPG that leans heavily into the spirit of tabletop role-playing while reshaping it into a more accessible, session-friendly digital experience. Rather than focusing on deep mechanical systems or long-term character progression, it emphasizes shared storytelling, player choice, and the unpredictable outcomes that arise when decisions are left partly to chance. It feels less like a traditional RPG…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love how easy it is to play, and to bring others in. I hope it gets the notice it deserved.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the sight of a friend losing his mind over an 86% success roll made this game worth it

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably the closest a game has felt to DnD for me, played with my wife and we had a lot of fun with it c:
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only played the first campaign so far with a few friends, was a hoot, lots of laughing, facepalming, and questioning each other's sanity! Buy it if you've got some friends who just wanna have a silly ol time!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you and 3 of your friends need this in your life
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Discovered this game through the bundle with Roadwarden but saved actually getting it if one of my friends showed interest and this was today! Very fun and enjoyable and the friend pass is definitely part of what makes this more favorable to play over other games. Only suggestion one of my friends had is that it would be nice to somehow play our own custom campaigns using the game's system.
