I like the Ninja Gaiden series and for the longest time this game has been such a mystery to me. I had only ever heard that it was an okay game with horrible writing that is kinda the black sheep of the franchise. So, when I saw it was on sale for $3 I figured it was about time that I saw how the game was like for myself. Now, I can be pretty forgiving with a lot of games, especially if I can find some kind of …

OK, this game was pretty fun and the premise was crazy, freaking good toilet humor and all that. The camera angles suck and you can't change them. The difficulty spike is quite high with many frustrating moments with crappy check points. The most frustrating moment is the final boss fight. It's not difficult but quite boring and frustrating. It takes around 10-15 mins but if you die, you are sent to the start of the …

"Honour and death go together like hot sauce and my balls!" -YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z E3 2013 trailer. While the game's objective quality is questionable, Yaiba as a character is a good concept. He is the exact opposite of Ryu Hayabusa. An honorless disgrace of a Ninja who cares for no one but himself. He really is the Ying to Ryu's Yang, and as a character he has a lot of potential, if he ever returned in a true Ninja …

pretty fun game, I don't know why the sentiment was pretty negative back then, maybe because the gameplay is different than your typical ninja gaiden. Its exactly what you expected from the cover: 2010s cell shaded gory hectic ninja robotic action, turn off your brain and enjoy the action. Also some pretentious snowflakes seems to be offended by the joke inside this game, well this Yaiba guy is designed to be the …

Does not deserve the hate. It was a victim for not only having the name Ninja Gaiden but also for being released after NG3 when the wound was still fresh. Having three different means of attack which you can string together for different combos is really fun. Having to OT different enemies to be able to use their special weapons is great idea, especially utilizing it for the more difficult fights. I only wish the …

The crowd is split on YAIBA: NINJA GAIDEN Z: 103 recommend it, 85 don't. Which camp are you in?
Critics, per Wikipedia
The Xbox 360 version received "mixed" reviews, while the PC and PlayStation 3 versions received "generally unfavorable reviews", according to the review aggregation website Metacritic. Most of the criticism was focused on the repetitive gameplay, the difficulty and the level design. EGMNow gave the Xbox 360 version 5.5 out of 10, saying, "As a side project to the main series, Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z offers an interesting shift in tone and a main character with a lot of promise, but the combat and puzzles feel too rote and unpolished to deliver on the strong potential of the concept." GameZone gave the game 3.5 out of 10, saying, "For those that had hoped for a true Ninja Gaiden experience…

neutral · AI labelView post →I dunno. I would agree but there's some anime where the Japanese name just sounds better and it's easier to say. Kimetsu no Yaiba has a silky feel to it that's lost in the English translation "Demon Slayer" which sounds a bit corny. Same with Jujutsu Kaisen which sounds a lot better than "Sorcery Battle" or "Technique School". Shingeki no Kyojin sounds better but I never remember it as easily as "Attack on titan" and people always shorten it to the English acronym (AoT).

neutral · AI labelView post →My recs, roughly in order of what I'm predicting that you'll like the best, based on what you said. * **Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann** - mechas, action, epicness, plot twists? Yeah, you got all of them, while you follow the story of a bunch of people raised underground, fighting their way up. * **Chainsaw Man** - fast-paced action in a world full of demons. The protagonist merges with one, after living in shit since childhood, and that changes his life. Expect lots of humour, and the intro…

neutral · AI labelView post →Please don't pretend this is a good game after Ninja Gaiden 4 releases, even if you hate NG4. The humor aged like a piece of crap on the street, the enemy variety is absolutely poor along with damage balancing for both the enemies (especially the elemental zombies) and Yaiba himself, who has the resistance of cardboard against almost anything, not to mention that his defensive options are almost useless. This is truly a Spark Unlimited product, through and through, and it once was the thing…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like DBZ you would probably like Hunter X Hunter and Yuyu Hakusho. These two are both written by the same person and have similar vibes but the story and setting are very different. HxH especially is very widely acclaimed for good reason. In this vein you may also like Black Clover. Anime that I'd recommend in general would be Akame Ga Kill, Mahou Shouju Madoka Magicka (watch 3-4 episodes, trust the process), Parasyte, Gurren Laggann, One Punch Man, Angel Beats, Katanagatari, Made In…

Other than a stage of the final boss being a bit unnecessarily hard, so much of this experience is absolutely fantastic. I don't know what critics at the time wanted this game to be, because it does an amazing job at its intended goal.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know why this game is hated. It is fantastic! The combat, jokes, characters and so on are just pure entertainment. Maybe because this game is NOT easy and you have to learn how to properly counter enemies and learn their patterns! After you know how to combine elements and do perfect counter, this game is opens up fully! It is 10/10!

neutral · AI labelView post →This is not Ninja Gaiden. It's basically a series of combat arenas, in which you will face waves of enemies, many of whom have ranged attacks. In a typical battle, you will dodge around with the A button, do some crowd control with flail attacks, counter the stronger enemies with RB, and maybe perform some stronger combos on special enemies and bosses. When enemies are sufficiently weakened, you can execute them with LT, which grants health pickups, and, on certain special enemies, a weapon…

I say this because while I do recommend this game I do not recommend you to buy it at full price. The game itself is a non-canon Ninja Gaiden spinoff where you play as a different ninja named Yaiba Kamikaze. It's not super fun, or challenging, but it is definetly a pretty funny game, Yaiba is actually a pretty hillarious guy if you see him as a product of his time, the zombies are silly, haviung lots of scenes of them doing dumb little stuff and thats kinda adorable.
