Many players find the game fun despite bugs and poor optimization. [1][2][3] Several real-life paramedics and EMTs criticize the game for inaccuracies and lack of depth. [4][5][6] Some players allege the developers are prioritizing DLC sales over fixing core issues. [7][8][9]

I'm a paramedic and firefighter, so I know this game isn't realistic at all. It has bugs, the performance is shaky, and many medical details are just wrong. But somehow, it’s still fun to play. I can't really explain why, but I enjoy it for what it is. If you have a good PC and don't take the simulation too seriously, it’s a decent way to pass the time. It’s not perfect, but I keep playing it anyway.

!Attention! The Devs Need Your Help! All funding and work on the game has been cut off by the publisher due to a low review rating score. If the game gets its reviews to 70% THE CONTRACT WILL RENEW AND THE DEVS CAN WORK ON THE GAME, FIX IT, AND ADD MORE! The game is actually really fun! The graphics look good, there are a lot of emergencies, and quite a bit of medical treatments and decisions. The only reason for …

I was super excited for this game from the first moment I saw the announcment. I am an EMT and I was very excited to see our profession be represented in a realistic simulator game, and not just a "Bandage" Button when someone is injured in a game. I watch every trailer, read the dev updates, even upgraded my PC to run it. Then, it released. It was buggy, but that's expected for a new game. Updates were pretty …

I'm a full time paramedic in Canada and I bought the game just for the heck of it haha. TLDR: The game has potential to be amazing but missed the mark in what most real paramedics would find thrilling about the career. Long story short, the game itself performs pretty poorly unless you have a high end computer, I'm not sure why but it seems to use up a TON of memory for pretty simple game mechanics compared to say …

I really wanted to love this game. As a fan of simulators, the medical gameplay is actually quite impressive. The way you have to monitor vitals, remember which medication treats specific symptoms, and manage the treatments is engaging and satisfying. Even though it's not 100% realistic, it captures the "vibe" of being a paramedic perfectly. However, I cannot recommend this game in its current state, and here is …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game feels unfinished and repetitive. Instead of updates, the developers have been asking for positive reviews on Discord so they can get funding. Reviews are supposed to be about the current state of the game, not as a way to convince your investors. Maybe if the developers had fixed the core issues at launch, they wouldn’t be in this mess.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has potential, but is missing a whole lot. Does not have go bags, very limited medications, limited O2 delivery devices, and limited questions. As a EMT student, it is not fun because I can't do what I want to do.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Simulator" is definitely the wrong word. Driving simulator, maybe? It's 60% driving and 40% bad arcade medicine.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Poor optimization, numerous bugs, yet the developers keep asking for more money while releasing DLCs. How "original". Don't buy this game or buy it only if you plan to refund it. It had the potential to be great, but the developers' greed and laziness have ruined the experience.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →honestly i was really looking forward to this sim because im in school right now to become a paramedic and ima just gonna say this right now, this sim is not worth even looking into..... 1- so many bugs 2- devs clearly dont care and just want quick money 3- the police sim started sooo dam good i was hoping for a even better paramedic sim then that one and both totally went down hill ever since the police one gained some popularity theve just been sending out DLCs, crappy updates and this…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As an EMT. I purchased the game because it seemed to have a high level of potential. The emergency lighting and siren system was less than acceptable. You consistently run the same few calls repetitively. The driving mechanics caused difficulty with proper turns, braking and navigation. Extremely unrealistic in terms of having any types of additional resources available to you. Your partner in the game does absolutely nothing and the game even requests for you to essentially do their job for…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crap. The idea is great but you spend 90% of the time driving the ambulance, which I absolutely hate. Also, I dont understand why this game is more than 60 Giga. Thank you Steam for allowing refund.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game for the giggles since I am a Paramedic in real life, however I have some things to say. On the aspect of being a game, Ambulance Life runs rather poorly even on my 5060. It lags quite a bit, there's a few visual bugs, and its minigames are frustrating. For those of you who are thinking about purchasing this game in preparation for your skills tests in Paramedic or EMT school, do yourself the favor and don't. None of the treatments make sense in comparison to the real world,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a paramedic... no. Someone else might enjoy it, but the game has a plethora of mechanical issues. The four jobs I ran through were: -Panic -Cataclysmic car crash with like 3 dead and 7 other patients (half or the entire EMS+Fire would be on scene but instead its just me walking around slowly) -Panic (nobody on scene bothered to explain the dead body with a rifle) -Explosion I'd like for the calls to be more realistic, this was ridiculous. And someone fire the dispatcher that keeps…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →they are begging for positive reviews on their discord server to be able to update the game. FRAUD. The game has so much that needs to be fixed but they claim their funding was cut off. Not worth it. Dont buy it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tried to stay on the fence about it for a while, but from a technical standpoint, the game has a lot of bugs. For example, when your unit is destroyed, the game ends and reports "Your Car was totaled"—not truck, not ambulance, not rig—your car. Also, the other vehicles do not move with lights or sirens, which is somewhat accurate, but I still ended up driving on the wrong side of the road for nearly three hours of gameplay. Pedestrians are surprisingly well-implemented. They actively try to…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recommend this if the devs were not money hungry! Don't buy it because the base game has only this much to do. These guys are even selling expansion packs. Like map expansions should be unlockable, but they sell it along with new dispatch calls which doesnt make sense. The base game doesnt have much content anyways. These guys are basically trying to milk the small audience they have. Don't bother buying this, not much to do without buying the dlc, money hungry devs. 🙂
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is not real to life, game no longer has updates, lags like crazy on any setting. very disappointed and upset
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is a scam I bought it hated it and requested a refund. the game was removed from my library and no refund sent. I will never recommend a game from this developer or publisher.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is extremely bad. I'm a paramedic and no this game does not even sort of resemble actual EMS work. But beyond that it's just terrible. The game has you unlock more options as you gain experience (which is ridiculous for a 'simulator' already) but will put you in situations where you don't have the necessary tools to deal with them. Some of those tools seem completely absent from the game. I'm chastised at the end of a call for not addressing a patient's hypoglycemia when a) they…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game in unplayable, and from the steam discussions, is not going to get any further updates until new investors are found. DO NOT WASTE YOUR CASH ON THIS GAME!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun, looks great, and is a more in-depth view of emergency medicine that I have not seen in any other games but it takes a very long time to load and the controls are clunky. I think that this could be a great game with some optimization but with how it is right now, I cannot recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nobody should by games from these lazy developers! i mean they totally destroyed the police simulator and then made a EMT sim and destroyed this as well. i mean how hard can it be to actually make a decent first responder game without bugs and glitches? then they have the nerve to ask for money for DLC when the games bas model is terrible!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK OR ANY GAME THEY PRODUCE. i played it for 3 hours near release date and haven't played it since lol. i mean its…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very unpolished, abandoned. do not recommend!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its okay, not the best game out there. definitely quite unrealistic and quite laggy. driving the ambulance is quite a lot of the game, but you can't change your siren tones or anything like that, so the constant noise gets quite annoying. the game hasn't had an update in over a year and gets boring quite quickly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game had potential when it released and I was excited for the future of it. Unfortunately, it seems the game has been abandoned and hasn't received any updates which are desperately needed. Don't spend the money on it, after about 2 days of playing it you'll be bored from the repetitiveness and wonder why you purchased this game. This game is no longer worth $29.99. Honestly now that its been ditched, I wouldn't pay more than $9.99 for it. If you ever catch it on sale for $10 or under, I'd…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →absolutley amazing concept!!! horrible execution. buggy as hell, in a few years if the devs continue to work on this project the game could be a useful teaching tool however it seems they prefer to release microtransaction DLC's instead of fixing their game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just no, i was so excited for this game but then they just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up, there is no other way to describe it, you can't treat multible people, then they locked the most importent tools away behind a levleing system. and if a patients coding you can't pull over to perform cpr or even do it youreself, and if I'm on the topic of patients I have to talk about the fact that they don't even care to simulate their calls right: I once had the call for an unconcious patient not breaving, drove there…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels like a guy who was in paramedic class, failed it and decided to make a game while also pulling everything out of his ass. This is not a simulation game, this is an arcade game made for children.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have the luxury of knowing a real life senior paramedic with whom I play games frequently. I showed him this one and asked if he'd watch me play it and test out it's accuracy. It may just be that I am early on in the game, but he felt like it wasn't super in depth enough to be considered a simulator of what his job entails, however he did make the following observations (and of course I'll update this if his opinion changes. 1: Pedestrians don't usually clear the crosswalks for sirens. Not a…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ambulance Life is the kind of game that makes you question both your career choices and your life choices, sometimes at the same time. It’s a paramedic simulator that somehow manages to be surprisingly fun while also making you wonder if you should uninstall it for your own mental health. Let’s break it down. You jump into the shoes of a paramedic, ready to save lives, make split‑second decisions, and heroically drive an ambulance like you stole it. Except half the time you’re stuck behind an…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What an absolute shame this game DON'T BUY it guys! Nearly a year since the last update and the devs are hiding because the investors didn't prolong their contract. The game is buggy, laggy and far far far from complete. Never buy from this developer again!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has been a huge disappointment. The graphics are poor, the content is dull and unrealistic.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just voting yes so the investers for this game sign the contract so we can get more updates. But do not buy untell things change with the update volume.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its laggy, buggy, and the game devs rather release DLCs than fix the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is fun, but it's unfortunate that it is plagued with bugs and no longer has dev support. Could be an amazing game with continued development and bug fixes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →go play maple county on roblox it is so much more fun that this
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. do not waste your money. written by an irl paramedic
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Second what people with EMT / Paramedic experience say. the game is massively unrealistic. The calls you go to and then the scenarios they present. I would not be taking someone with "Stress" into hospital after my checks yet on the game in sticking IV's in, pumping them full of drugs with unrealistic outcomes. had so much potential but the devs seem like they have no medical experience whatsoever
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is okay, played in simulator mode, tried to use it for studying, This could have been a tabletop game. I learned what anamnesis is, it's history gathering. Pros. 1. Streamline of ambulance call where you don't have to buckle them in, work the stryker antlers 2. It has most of the cool treatments, ketamine and lorazepam is unlocked before glucometers 3. They let you do working diagnosis and won't penalize you if you change your mind 4. Scenarios they give is pretty nice. 5. I like how you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a real life paramedic. The game isn't very realistic when it comes to treating patients. Surely the dev's would use the correct treatments? its like something off 9-1-1
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game gets extremely repetitive and there aren't many callouts.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game seems highly interesting, don't get me wrong, but even for today's standards, it's highly unoptimized. I received a whopping average of 10 frames per second. This game really is a good simulation, but what destroys the immersion is simply the lag.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its decent, the concept is good and the mechanics are pretty good. The issue here is its really buggy and not optimized, also the AI is not great, both the pedestrians (they like to run into traffic) and the AI partner isn't super helpful specifically during transport (I don't think we care about a 0.1 degree drop in temp when the patient is in VFIB). For the AI partner specifically, if we had the option for them to drive that would make them more useful. It has potential and I would…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dudes put DLC on very glitchy game, not optimized as well. The game is dead unfortunately.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At first glance, Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator looked incredibly promising. The trailers, early gameplay footage, and overall concept gave the impression of a unique and immersive experience. The idea of stepping into the shoes of a paramedic, responding to emergencies, making life-or-death decisions, and navigating realistic scenarios had so much potential. It felt like a fresh take on simulation games—something that could genuinely stand out if executed properly. Unfortunately, the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's a very good game to me but it's poorly optimized which sucks the fun out of it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good game... if you have nothing better to play. The game runs like ass. the controls and driving feels clunky there is no bgm so it feels dead boring. is uses AI in the voice acting, which feels out of place becuase they actually have VA for some characters. there shouldve been some form of story mode also, instead of just free play senarios. its a shame, you can clearly see that if the devs put in more work, then this couldve been a really great and fun sim that couldve stolen…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the came started everything was super slow and when i got an error saying program crashed!!!!!!!!!! i paid alot of money for this game and cant even play it i am very dissapointed
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game in general. Way to many bugs. Low performence, stutters, etc Boring/repeating missons. and there hasent been an update since 9th of april. Overall i like this game, you learn alot. But the lag and lack of updates are awful, Would not pay full price. Game rating 4/10 edit: There are more dlc's than updates.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is so much wrong with this game. From the optimisation seemingly non-existant, to the gameplay being so surface level that it might aswell be First Aider with a Van simulator. But hey, if you like having someone yell every 5 or so minutes that the patient temperature is 0.01 degree lower than it should be and looking for help whilst you're going 115 down the wrong side of the road at 5 frames per maybe. This is the game for you! Also, why is a game company that mainly makes horse riding…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright, I went into this knowing it would be a buggy game. Honestly, it's not really that terrible for the price (I got it on sale). It's admittedly not great to control the ambo via mouse, even after configuring settings over and over. The controls for bandage wrapping are not good, and it would be really nice if you could see exactly where patients are bleeding instead of blindly wrapping every limb and hoping for the best. (Side note: I could've tried this out with a controller, but I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game was buggy, it wouldn't even let me finish the starting mission.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a dead game with real potential. It deserves a second life, but it’s stuck in a brutal limbo. The developers haven’t been able to push meaningful updates because the player base is gone, yet players won’t return without new content. Without wishlists, active players, and DLC sales, the game can’t move forward. With some TLC and renewed support, this could be something genuinely great.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy this game. Its a buggy mess, not very fun at its corse and poorly optomised. Game is less than a year old and they already gave up on it. No Updates since April.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I decided to get this game to see if it relates to my real job, and it doesnt when trying stablize a patient your " partner is yelling at you. And instead of keeping patient car you have to drive everywhere, AI partner is useless
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to like this game but couldn’t get into it. Got my Refund. Was not a fun game at all 1/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was very intrigued by this game because I love simulators and this is the first one of its kind (that I'm aware of) where you get to play as a paramedic. Unfortunately, my experience has been mostly disappointing. The main problems are poor performance, repetitive gameplay, and poorly explained game mechanics. On my mid-high range PC, despite the unusually large download size for this game, performance has always felt a bit choppy, suggesting poor optimization. This by itself is not a…
