You play Ubisoft's new Assassin's Creed games like Valhalla or Mirage, none of which have the gameplay and storyline of the Ezio trilogy. The legacy of Ubisoft is kept alive by this trilogy. What have I just played?! What have I done all this time skipping AC games? Bought them decade+ ago and they were just rotting in my library. What a huge improvement over AC 1 and AC 2 and visually appealing game, unlike first that has this brownish, muddy colour palette. I adore games that continue story from where you left off in previous game, although "loosing" ability to jump climb was bit stupid. I like the …

By centering the entire experience on a single, living city—Rome—Ubisoft created an atmosphere so dense and immersive that even after nearly two decades, it remains a gold standard for the series.Mastering the Eternal City Rome is not just a map; it is a character. The transition from the vibrant streets of Florence and Venice to the decaying grandeur of the Borgia-occupied capital feels earned. The game masterfully …

Brotherhood still holds up surprisingly well. Rome is a blast to explore, the combat feels smoother than AC2 and building up the Brotherhood never stops being satisfying. The story isn’t as tight as its predecessor, but Ezio is at his peak here and the whole package just feels fun to sink into. A bit dated in spots, sure, but it’s one of those games that pulls you in for “just one more mission” until you realize …

TAKE IT FROM ME AND SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY, TIME, ENERGY AND TROUBLE. LET UBISOFT DIE. PIRATE ALL THEIR GAMES.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a decent enough game but the fact that it asks me for my Ubisoft password every single time I reboot the computer - and it also asks me to link it with a stupid Facebook account - forces me to not recommend this game. Ubisoft are still making money from this game. The very least they could do is fix stupid bugs like this. They just want your money - they don't care about gamers.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game, but the launcher is annoying sometimes. I can't play because it says that my account was suspended, like wtf. Ubisoft do something about it!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ubisoft connect launcher gives you the ability to not be able to play a singleplayer game, because Ubi connect server isnt working. Just pirate the game at this point.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The most OG Assassin's Creed game there is. While I still think Assassin's Creed II is the better overall package thanks to its tighter structure and incredible coming of age story, Brotherhood feels like the perfect epilogue to Ezio's journey. It's like reading a brilliant novel after finishing a beloved series, giving even more depth to a character everyone already loves. And honestly, who has ever said, "Nah, I've had enough of Ezio"? Absolutely no one. Starting the game as a Master Assassin…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game itself is great, but Ubisoft sucks major testicles, and having a third party launcher as a requirement on Steam should be against the TOS. Just get this game elsewhere, where you can run it offline (yarrr).
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I slept on the game about 10 months ago. Didn't give it a chance, graphics suck,(compared to the other games ive played)(Oldest AC game ive played was Unity), the movement and controls are bad/hard to learn, and it just feels too old. But I was sorely mistaken. Played 1 hour 10 months ago, played 20 hours in 5 days, recently. Damn is it fun, movement is really good when you get the hang of it. The fighting is really satisfying, you can parkour much more freely then newer games. Assassinations…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ubisoft Connect is hot garbage and you must use it to play your game. The launcher will lock in an email address and if you change your account online, it will render your game unplayable. Don't give these greedy idiots any more money!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game picks up right where AC2 ends, but it doesn’t repeat AC2, it completes it emotionally. If AC2 shows the birth of the Assassin, Brotherhood delivers his ascension. Ezio is no longer a young man chasing revenge; he’s a leader, a tactician, someone whose painful past has hardened into focus, discipline, and absolute confidence. And the game lets you feel that evolution in every fight, every fluid movement, every decision made without hesitation. Brotherhood has that thrilling sense of “I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't bother buying the game yet. wait until all of the launchers/uplay is removed and rewards are implemented. My specs are more than strong enough to run the game, Revelations and 2 run just fine. Added mods n all. Brotherhood refuses to launch. The title refused to go past launching the game. Yes I changed the comp. settings and the whole 9. Better off running it on older systems or emulating it. Overall game is worth it if it can run. Run mods to restore Dead content. Ac 1-4 (not remake)…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Certified Hood Classic. I highly recommend this game, it’s an absolute classic. However, 1. Re-entering your password to play an offline game is crazy. Please change that, its such an inconvenience. 2. The 15 minute end credits should be skippable. Although the missions get repetitive, I really enjoyed it. Definitely worth checking out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After all these years even though multiplayer is disabled you still require an internet connection to play this game, as of writing this review I can't even play because ubisoft servers seem to be down.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best Game in the series for me; Great setting, story, characters, music, quests and progression they peaked here with then franchise 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Improvement from ac2. One of the most iconic assassins creed games. Very cool! 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a person that's just starting the Ezio Assassin's Creed trilogy this game is incredible. A huge improvement from AC2, the graphics, gameplay and story are pretty great! Although I did encounter a few bugs like the seq 9 bug but it can easily be fixed so no big deal. So far my fav out of the trilogy. I rate this an 8.7/10 idk why it just feels right
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy for any price. The game itself, it's beautiful, it reminded me why I fell in love with video games in the first place. But the launcher that Ubisoft forces you to use actively tries to hurt your soul. You must log in every single time you open the game. Ok, incredibly annoying. But fine, they're Canadian so it's a given that it'll be annoying. But then... Well one session it decides to stop recognizing your controller. Ok, I'll restart. No. Ok I'll force steam input. No. Ok, well I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood continues Ezio’s story, and I absolutely love how his journey evolves in this game. Rome feels alive and full of things to do, and rebuilding the city adds a really satisfying layer to the gameplay. The intro song, “Ezio’s Family,” is once again an absolute banger and sets the tone perfectly. And yeah… let’s just not talk about the tragic events involving Uncle Mario. The game carries over a lot from AC2 not just the great mechanics, but unfortunately some of the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the top 3 AC games, but Ubisoft is despicable and Ubisoft connect might be the worst launcher ever conceived by man. You have to sign in every time you launch this game as well as all other "older titles" from ~2012 and before. Ubisoft has never cared about their customers so you should not monetarily support them.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gave Assassin’s Creed 2 an 8.5, so going into Brotherhood I expected it to be even better. I still like this game, but honestly, it feels like a step down in some important areas. The biggest problem for me is the story. After how strong and emotional AC2 was, Brotherhood feels lacking. Cesare Borgia is just not that interesting of a villain compared to what we had before. He never really feels threatening in a deep or personal way. The modern day story is also almost irrelevant here, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the game since I was a kid and replayed it lately, the game is awesome yet it doesn't have achievements on steam, which is sad.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No spoilers. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is a certified childhood classic for me. The fun fact is, though, I actually never finished any Assassin's Creed game whenever I've installed one of these games in my computer, until this year (2025), when I said screw it and decided to start a chronologically ordered AC binge this Autumn after slowly collecting these games in my libraries. (Starting from games 2007-onward until Origins cause I have no interest in anything from the series after 2017).…

The story is good, the voice acting is amazing, the combat aged well and rome is still pretty as the graphics still hold up. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've loaded it up and played two or three times over the years. It's a good one as far as the Ezio stories go. Still looks decent and has a big city to explore. Plays stable on Windows 11, though I once had to change the resolution/frame rate to complete a flying mission because that one's glitchy now. Since the old servers are no longer functioning and Ubisoft tied some of the game function to that because they weren't thinking ahead, a few pieces of the game are missing, most notably the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is in many ways a direct improvement over its predecessor. How Ubisoft Montreal managed to do this in only a year's time is quite mind blowing. Many of my personal gripes with AC2 center around gameplay, and Brotherhood fixes most of them. Parkour feels a lot more reliable, and combat flows much better with execution-chaining mechanic and the recruit system. This makes Brotherhood a more fun version of AC2. However, the very short dev cycle is noticeable too.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine being a company that doesn’t give a damn about the games that made it successful. That’s Ubisoft. Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is basically unplayable on Steam Deck—controls don’t work, and even if you spend 30 minutes trying to fix them, it still won’t work properly. And then comes the real problem: you can’t even play it on a plane or during a trip because it depends on Uplay constantly signing you out and requiring internet. I thought I was safe with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey as a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Today’s Ubisoft could pour millions into studying this game in a boardroom, run ten market analyses, and hold a dozen synergy meetings, and still somehow fail to recreate even half the magic and charm that AC Brotherhood had effortlessly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Literally unplayable. When you start the game, Ubisoft connects opens and you need to login with your password every - single - time. But then there is also the problem "Ubisoft service unavailable", where you simply cannot login. Appears for me after every single PC shutdown. The only "fix" is completely reinstalling the game and never shut down your PC until you finished the game. Or just reinstall every single PC start. But beware, you also lose your save file then. :-)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game should be considered as a DLC for AC2 as it continues the story + gametime is a bit shorter than AC2 but almost equal. I guess different times shrug. Ezio saga was always good so nothing to complain about too much.

positive · AI labelView post →Some stories stay with you long after the journey ends. This is one of them for me. Not because it is without flaws, but because it gave me something I did not know I was missing—closure. Story-wise, it stands alongside AC II, but the mechanics in this game are just as good. Watching Ezio build the Brotherhood, one Assassin at a time, was something I truly enjoyed. And seeing Claudia take her first steps into the life of an Assassin made it all the more memorable. Then there are Christina’s…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unmatched Ezio charisma + ancient Rome + blowing up Da Vinci's tank = peak gaming. What else do you even need? Absolute cinema. No regrets
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Assassin's Creed Brotherhood feels like the perfect continuation of Ezio's story. Rome is probably my favorite setting in the series, and having your own Brotherhood of Assassins makes the whole game feel so much more alive. The combat, the music, the atmosphere.. everything just clicks. I don't know how Ubisoft managed to make Ezio even more likable after AC II, but they did. One of my favorites in the entire series.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood in a vacuum is a good game. However, it is a sequel to one of the best games in the franchise, Assassin's Creed 2 and it completely fails as such. The story starts with a good hook but completely falls on its face. Instead of AC2's revenge story, you walk around Rome being told "this person is really bad!" and then kill them two minutes later. Why are they bad? Because they work for the Borgias, that's all that matters. The point of Brotherhood is exactly that, to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Jumping back into Ezio’s story feels effortless here. Starting with a character we already know means the game skips that slow introduction phase and gets right into the action, which I really appreciated. While the story doesn’t quite reach the highs of Assassin’s Creed 2, it’s still an enjoyable continuation of Ezio’s journey. What Brotherhood does best is not trying to reinvent the wheel, it takes an already great formula and polishes it to a shine. Gameplay is where this really stands…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is definitely the best entry in the Ezio trilogy. The story is great, and both the graphics and color palette are a big upgrade compared to AC 2. The music remains excellent, and the combat was improved and is much more enjoyable. It’s essentially an enhanced version of AC 2 in every way, but it’s still not an Assassin’s Creed game that would make me say ‘Wow!’ today. One interesting addition in this installment was the multiplayer, which I unfortunately didn’t get…
