Despite the game being an 'AA' is incredibly boring, very repetitive, frustratingly clunky and a mess. The story is quite forgettable, the achievements are boring collecting stuff, the exploration is not rewarding, maps and compass are poorly done... If only the stuff you have to do were rewarding, the combat fun or the story interesting... At least I've completed the game, I won't 100% this ♥♥♥♥. The game is boring.

Pretty average AA action-RPG. The core concept—surfing across desert dunes with a shape-shifting magical gauntlet—looks cool and unique on paper, but the implementation is not polished at all. Combat often feels stiff and janky, and the open world suffers from a lack of enemy variety. There's nothing impressive about the story; the narrative is largely forgettable and the voice acting is terrible. Still, it’s not a …

Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand A flawed, but ultimately enjoyable Co-op-Action-RPG - as long as you don't mind a bit of sand. Gameplay: Atlas Fallen is fast-paced and action-heavy and tells its story between the numerous battles and exploration of its sandy world. The bones and meat of the game are the fights, often taking a few minutes before letting you go just to fight the next sand-monster barely a minute later. …

This game was absolutely amazing! I really enjoyed it, a nice world to roam around in, both the main and side quests were really good and fun. As always I'm a huge fan of collectibles and upgrades, and really enjoyed to explore all areas to find everything possible, great freedom in the world to explore and find hidden things and lore items. I should not have to program your game for you to be able to run it. Asking me to download a file to have new settings (which doesn't exist anymore), then to add a line to the new settings and asking me to know how to code and format said line. Why can't the company fix this on their end. Why does the consumer have to repair their broken mess on purchase. It's been over 2 years and they still can't optimize their mess.

Atlas Fallen is pretty much everything I love in 7'th gen games, even though it is a pretty new release. The two best comparisons I can make is that it's something between Darksiders 2 and Shadow of Mordor. The game is mechanically quite simple as you pick two weapons to make up your primary and secondary attacks. Meaning you really only have two sets of light and heavy attacks with the rest of the attacks being context sensitive such as attacking in the air or mid dash/sprint. There are no…

Atlas Fallen is a highly underrated game, that flopped on release because it was rushed. Since release it got polished and patched a lot, and received new content as well. In it's current state it plays like a solid open world rpg with God of War like combat, deep and fun character build variety and lots of cool features that many open world games lack, like transmog, smooth traversing, coop mode, environmental puzzles and more. I bought it on a heavy discount expecting nothing and I got…

Combat is flashy, but sometimes feels like I’m aggressively slapping enemies with enchanted beach towels. The sand-surfing is cool for about 15 minutes, and then you realize you’re basically a mystical Roomba gliding through a desert that forgot to include landmarks. Story? There is one. I think. Something about rebellion, gods, and destiny but it mostly felt like my character was very passionate about vague concepts.

I'll admit it - I like Forspoken. It's a flawed game that has some issues with tone and writing and got dogpiled for very questionable reasons by capital-G Gamers, but ultimately is just kind of a joy to zoom around the landscape at top speed fighting enemies and petting cats. I'd always considered Forspoken as my archetypal 7/10 game that I have a real soft spot for. I'm going to have to retroactively bump that up a little bit to a 7.5 though, because I just finished Atlas Fallen, which is…

I really wanted to like Atlas Fallen, and to be fair, it does get some things right. The combat has some interesting ideas, and when it actually flows, it can be genuinely fun. You can tell they tried to do something a bit different with the mechanics, and I did appreciate that. The problem is that the game gives that combat almost nothing good to carry. The quests and story are really weak, and because the rest of the game is so uninteresting, even the best part starts to feel boring after…

That was a much better game than what I remember from the harsh reviews when it came out. I think they may have fixed some of the problems people complained about. People were critical of the camera but between the arrow indicators of attacking enemies and sound effects I could parry enemies that weren't even in my view easily. The game also allows for a surprising amount of customization for your character. With different armors and tons of passive and active spells to use I gave my…

This is maybe halfway to where it needs to be. The story is completely skippable, and the gameplay doesn't make up for the lack of purpose. There aren't enough enemies to stay engaging. Weapons don't feel meaningfully different. The map is littered with collectables that have no meaning. I think you'd need to be pretty desperate for a character action game to have this be the choice.

There is a story? I dunno, I started skipping through everything, because the dialogue is insufferable. It's like if you told AI to write a generic piece of dialogue, this'd be it. Let me start with what I loved. The combat. It’s really fun and fast-paced. The new momentum system is a great addition; you can only use abilities once you’ve built up enough momentum, which makes every fight feel rewarding. There are plenty of cool combos, and cruising through the map is just pure fun. Some of the boss designs are genuinely impressive, especially the one in the Forgotten Realm. The story? Hey, remember Atlas Fallen? No? It was that trailer at the game awards where guys were skating across the sand and fighting big sand monsters. Anyway, that comes out tomorrow and I had a look at it. It's basically fine, mostly. https://www.taptap.io/post/6118122

This game has great movement and a visually interesting open world. I bought it with coop in mind, but what use playing in coop if the guest loses progress each time he/she disconnects? ... Too bad, it was really promising but the sh*tty implementation of the coop ruins it all. Avoid until it's fixed.

A pretty interesting game with kinda interesting combat mechanic of pulling and dashing away. It does feel like you are mashing MOUSE1 until you kill an enemy. Movement are quite good but the map is 80% empty. Online Coop is a mess. You decided to play coop with a friend for a few hours, had fun and then decided to call it day. The game tells you that the host had progressed further in the story than you so you (player 2) can't save the game and the only option is to delete your progress.…

This game was a much better experience than I expected. An open world of sand to traverse, kill monsters in, and generally free of the oppressive grasp of a god. Didn't lean into the clash between order and chaos (which was refreshing because usually it's good vs. evil) as much as I wanted it to, but fun ideas all around nevertheless. Great armor customization as well, although the game really could have used more armors, and certainly more than 3 weapons. 4 stars for creativity.

Atlas Fallen Rating: 6/10 – Fine Atlas Fallen is a very fun game on the surface. The movement is really fun, especially once you unlock some of the upgrades related to that. I especially loved the sand sliding which is just a ton of fun… when you don’t suddenly get stuck on a pebble or loose all your momentum because half the time you need to go up rather than being able to slide down some steep hill. Beyond the movement there is the combat, which is also quite fun and, on the surface,…

UW Support ✅ Steam Deck Support ❌ (FPS drops under 30) It's a good game to just mindlessly play through but the story makes no sense, the writing just bland and the action just passable with no actual impact (and I don't mean the bass drops). The voice acting is passable but it definitely doesn't help that the writing is just that bad. Good thing the combat and traversal ain't bad!

I thought I would absolutely love this game, but I was kind of disappointed and just overall lost. Everything looks really nice, but doesn't feel like it.. Good concept but execution lacks development for me to maintain playing this for the long term.

In all honesty, I really enjoyed this game. It’s a two-player co-op experience, making it perfect for couples or for playing with a close friend. The story isn’t very long, typically taking around 7 hours to complete maybe even less if you focus only on the main missions. The game is beautiful visually, and while the story isn’t anything groundbreaking, it’s still enjoyable. The combat can feel slightly janky at times, but overall it’s decent enough not to ruin the experience. The map is…

as much as i love the movement, abilities, and weapons in this game the combat itself leaves much to be desired; being the bad kind of janky, especially the lock on camera. as for the story the setting is nice but it falls short in pretty much every other aspect and has nothing of real importance to keep you engaged. the gameplay loop is extremely similar to genshin which is just not it for me but maybe someone will enjoy. to put it simply this game has good bones but is just too weak in every…
