What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 172 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (3,653 of 4,454 positive).
Players find the game fun and humorous, especially as a parody of reality TV shows. [1][2][3] Many reviewers note that the game suffers from game-breaking bugs that have persisted for years. [4][5][6] Some players feel the gameplay becomes repetitive after a few stages. [7][8][9]

This game was recommended to me as an incredibly fun and funny experience, and at first, that description was absolutely true. I played it for days, spending hours and hours in the game, and genuinely had a great time with it. Unfortunately, everything changed once I progressed further into the game. As soon as the platforming sections started — especially the moments where you’re required to jump and complete …

The game itself is fun even though littlebit repetitive, but I can't recommend this due bugs that has been here for years and they aren't fixed, devs knows about them as they talk about them on discussion boards. Positives: -Story even though weird it's fun -Locations are different enough so it's fun to discover secrets in them Negatives: -Game breaking bugs -Selling items in store is so slow, wish it was automated …

Buying a storage unit always feels like a gamble. Most of the time it's just piles of junk, but every now and then you find something that makes the whole trip worth it. Cleaning everything up and slowly uncovering valuable items is surprisingly satisfying, even if the gameplay starts repeating itself after a while. I just wish there was a bit more variety because the idea behind the game is genuinely fun.

I read some reviews AFTER playing the game. I was surprised how many negative reviews I've seen. This game is more of a comedy than a simulator. That said the game is hilarious. You find garbage....clean it....fix it....and sell it. There is a story here too, which gets you invested but the point of the game is that you don't want to take it too seriously. I think there is some rampant autism going around unchecked …

Ridiculous game. Fun parody of TV shows and was just a fun experience. I wish the Devs updated the Console version of this game to get the DLCs and updated features like holiday events and stuff. Good fun, take the game with a pinch of salt as it's meant to feel and look ridiculous.

A rusty bike, some gold, and a whole lot of questionable decisions. The real treasure? Fixing broken items for fun and profit. 7/10 would bid on an abandoned military base again. 🏚️💰🚀 Follow my curator page for more bargain-hunting chaos, auction disasters, and games where I somehow make money doing nothing! 💸🎮✨…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is suddenly unplayable for me. Last update 2025_12_17. Gives LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 198] - Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x0 - "S_OK"). Haven't been able to make it work. It keeps loading to the main screen, won't let me play. Not recommending this game until devs address this issue. Will change review depending on the fix.

I randomly picked a game in my library to try, one that I have NEVER played before using a website. Low and behold it landed on Barn Finders. This will be an ALL-IN-ONE review - Barn Finders base game, Barn Finders: Amerykan Dream and Barn Finders: Bid Wars DLC. So let's get to it! What I didn't like/Cons ⚫The game is littered with bugs. Items can glitch through walls, floors…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simulator of running a shop, renovating, going to zone to pick up rares, wares and resources, returning to clean, repair, stock the shelves and solicits with customer during open hours. Gets extremely boring after simply a few stages. Extreme low optimization, low fps. Clunky controls and movement. Playing the game with fear of missing out an object, going round in circles searching each spots, worrying on omission. Bought the game since the launch, had little hype to run it. Just trying to…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one is... a very difficult recommendation. See, it's a *LOT* of fun. I can sink hours into this just finding and grabbing items, selling them. The sense of humor is somewhat puerile, but at the same time, I can't help but find myself laughing at it, and though there are moments that feel uncomfortable, nothing falls into racism so much as character stereotypes. And *all* of them are stereotyped. If that's the kind of humor and characterization (or lack thereof) that you either find…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I went into Barn Finders fully expecting chaos after reading all the reviews about glitches. Honestly, I was braced for my character to fall through the floor, explode into pixels, or get booted into space. But nope, I played the whole game and every DLC, and it all behaved surprisingly well. I sunk 24 hours into rummaging through barns, hoarding junk, and unlocking every achievement like the over committed gremlin I am. A word of warning though: do not smash everything in sight. I know, I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you have to google everything. the game doesnt explain nothing. and im stuck somewhere i need 2500$ to win an auction so i kinda spent money to explore the game. than i try to load last saving point. but the game did an auto save so that 2000 i had went to 74$, and i have no way back... the concept is awesome. but the way they made the game is really bad
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Marketing of this game was overly hyped. In reality is pretty scarce. You get to search for treasures in various locations. Maybe first couple locations feels like fun. But the you discover that it is just good old click on hidden points game. Just in 3D. Puzzles were fine. You can renovate some found items. This part of game feels pretty thin. And then you cant sell stuff in store. This too feels nice at first, you can even haggle with customers. This gets boring really fast too.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this game is pretty good, its what you would expect I suppose. Some levels of jank are expected in these types of games, but this game has gamebreaking bugs that have been in the game for years that the devs have known about but dont fix. So yea, unfortunate that 99% of the way through the game you may have to restart just to actually complete the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Did not expect to find a gem amidst the simulator genre slop. Yes, it's janky at times, but I feel like the devs understood what the strength of this game was.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4/10 decent game with lots of bugs + upgrades - upgrades cost a TON!!!! and its going to be hours before you get effects you can see - opens machine screen, becomes stuck on screen and wont go away. only fix was quitting the game - cleaning things off where a good 60% of the time spent cleaning the item its at 99% cleaned and you cant find that last micro spot. - picked up a one of a kind item and walked through a doorway into my fix it shack with it. it vanished from my hands, and was never…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game isn't funny but it tries really hard to be, it's actually pretty unfortunate. If randomness or elementary school is your type of humor then you'll love it. For example, you'll sell an item and the customer is going to perform some sort of Fortnite dance. The redneck vibe could have been way better with actual funny dialogue. It feels cheap and doesn't hit. There is also a level where you can choose to be scared, but there was no actual scary gameplay just decorations and a character…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fine and fully playable, everything ran smoothly. For 100% completion you will need both DLCs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game as part of a bundle because it was only a dollar more to add the game, and honestly I like this game more than the game I originally bought the bundle for. Super fun and there's a lot put in to the game, unique twist on an auction/flipper game. 10/10 would buy again!

positive · AI labelView post →making 1 of the achievements "buy the dlc"
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay loop is decent but it gets very repetitive after a few levels, and pretty much everything you see in the trailer is what you get, nothing more. Even though there isnt a whole lot of content I still tried to finish the game because it has a goofy and fun theme, but I cant finish it because one of the keys on the last level disappeared and I cant get it to respawn. I had to restart the game to make one of the key items spawn in another level but that didnt work this time. Complete waste…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game doesn't work. D3D device being lost error.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very entertaining game. I just destroy everything on the map and pick up all the materials and make bank. Simple as that. The auctions? Pretty fun. Original game focuses on it decently, bid wars dlc (the negatively reviewed one), focuses heavily on it, and honestly it's not bad either. If you go in with expectations of a game that has 1000+ hours of gameplay, this might not be for you, but if you want a game with a lot of character, a game with developers that work hard to improve their game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ever buy a game, because you've bought a lot from the publisher before, and the game has that inspiring "Very Positive" review on Steam... even though... you know the "style" or is it the "atmosphere" clashes with every game you've ever enjoyed? After you get the game, you go... it's not "bad", but its REALLY NOT ME. Don't make my mistake, but if you're not like me... you may really enjoy it. I'm going to keep it, because it's not a bad game, I bought it, and I may try to squeeze more life…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't take this game too seriously and it has the potential to be up there with games such as Sir Whoopass! I can relate to a lot of the jokes with this game, having watched reality TV - storage wars etc, and this takes every stereo type you see, throws in the crazy stuff, there's a storage flip simulator in there for good measure too. This coupled with the Whacky characters, which the nearest comparison I could make is probably the Sims, results in a comical playthrough. I think most of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8/10 Definitely a bit clunky in some areas, the tutorial is okay but its not really a step by step tutorial, you learn how to use the computer and actually go to the barns and auctions and that is about it really but I mean they do have slides that show you how to use all of the other stuff, its pretty easy to pick up. The game itself is quite fun, lots of secrets to find on each map that you might not be able to get at the start if you don't have the equipment. The fuel system is not…

neutral · AI labelView post →If you ever loved watching Storage Wars, Barn Finders might be right up your alley. You explore abandoned barns, houses and other locations, looking for anything worth taking home. Some things are complete junk, while others can be cleaned up, repaired and sold for a nice profit. It can get a little repetitive after a while, apart from that the game worked fine for me. Overall, a decent game for when you just want to relax. I also recommend buying it when it's on sale and not for the full…

neutral · AI labelView post →This game is pretty much the personification of the "work slop" genre. It sells itself on the premise of you have tasks to complete and a store to run, but it takes so many shortcuts with the mechanics that it almost feels like an asset flip at times. The biggest being that they could not manage to make any character walk, so they just teleport around with puffs of smoke. Not only can this be quite distracting, and pretty bad to watch, sometimes to characters will attempt to jump to nearly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is pretty fun and goofy, but I can't really recommend it to people because there's just way too many bugs, and the game doesn't really tell you anything on how to do things, so you're just stuck at certain moments of just trying to figure out what to do. So there are just random bugs that will just make the whole game unpredictable, like for example, and one of the levels I was completely stuck and I couldn't leave or do anything, so I had to completely leave the game and restart it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only three women available as profile pictures, all conventionally attractive while the men are allowed to be ugly. Player model is light skinned with no option to change it off the bat
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played trough the main story, pretty fun game but at times REALLY buggy. DLC just doesnt work, literally paid for nothing(Read that others have the same problem) Dont buy the BidWars DLC
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: Fun game about searching neat locations and finding assorted unique stuff, easy recommend for a chill game especially if it's on sale. If you enjoy finding random objects and cleaning/repairing, assembling them before selling them in a lil shop than boy is this the game for you. I love this game, I just finished a second run through and I'm definitely still quite enjoying it. If you're fine with backwoods, rural, rednecky America vibes with plenty of Alien jokes and silliness you'll…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Barn Finders is one of those rare games that completely catches you off guard—in the best way possible. What starts as a quirky scavenger hunt quickly turns into an oddly satisfying loop of treasure hunting, cleaning, fixing, and selling. It scratches the same itch as games like House Flipper or PowerWash Simulator, but with way more character and humor. The environments are creative and packed with hidden goodies, and there’s just the right amount of silliness to keep the experience…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately the game is just not fun long term, The first play session was confusing and mediocre and now for some reason I've decided to try and 100% the game to justify the money spent, DO NOT DO THAT. The selling portion of the game is so slow and bad, you can have a max of 2 customers visit and then there's a cooldown, but you need thousands of dollars of cash to access certain locations so it legitimately becomes a waiting game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't want to spend time in this janky game trying to stack things to get into the top of a barn.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game gets repetitive real quick. It's also full of bugs (prompts not being consistent, items floating in the area and other general jank). Pass unless you explicitly enjoy this kind of game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of those games where I would give it a middle review if I could. The gameplay is great, I find myself enjoying it all. Some of it feels a little janky, but in a good way. I'm choosing to not recommend it because of some content. This game really wants to capture the feel of being rednecks, and I believe it goes too far into stereotypes in the process. The humor of the game is just about always crude, about drinking, or sexual in nature. Even the first level has you trying to find…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I finally found it... A BARN 7.2/10 its very silly
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So the core game is simple, but it's fun, some items and their names/descriptions are funny, and i gotta be honest the story is like if i had smoked the best blunt of my life, the 100% was easy enough as well, so recommended just for fun, don't spend too much on it though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you've ever wanted to pillage haunted houses for their loot, this is the game for you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is boring, unfunny and disgusting. if you want an item finding and selling game, it takes a back seat to the childish jokes here.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to say that Barn Finders is just a simple game about scavenging and reselling, but then it's also got stuff like this.
positive · AI labelView post →I extend my warmest regards. I am Dong Feng, representing the distinguished province of Zinquai. During my recent convalescence, I availed myself of the opportunity to engage with an interactive digital experience entitled Barn Finders. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game quite litterally does not work as of now. you will get a black screen. many other players have the same problem. its not even specs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not bad idea but it need more creativity. The game just repeat it self each time you finish a map. The shop need more enhances, selling processes is too boring after 2-3 hours of the game, I suggest you to add auto sell option. You cannot make the game Perfect (finish all steam achievements) unless you buy the DLCs. I hope my review will be useful to the game programmers if they decide to programme the game in the future.
