How does this 2015 game have better graphics than modern titles? Probably the budget from the highest rated superhero game that preceded it. Hot take but Arkham Knight is the best in the franchise and Arkham City is overrated.

THE BRUTAL AND GORGEOUS FINALE A visually stunning, dark masterclass in gameplay design that still looks better than most modern titles. The addition of the Batmobile adds a whole new layer of high-octane destruction, and the combat and stealth are at their absolute mechanical peak. A grand, emotional, and brutal conclusion to the legendary trilogy. This is how the Batman died. 9.5/10

96% of the 282 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Batman™: Arkham Knight. The complaint that keeps coming up: tedious mandatory Riddler puzzles for full ending. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

Critics, per Wikipedia

Batman: Arkham Knight received "generally favorable" reviews from critics for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game, while the PC version received "mixed or average" reviews, according to review aggregator platform Metacritic. It has been cited as one of the greatest games of the 2010s and of all time. Dan Stapleton of IGN rated the game a score of 9.2 out of 10, praising the graphics, gameplay variety, detail of the open world, the voice acting performances (particularly of Kevin Conroy as Batman, John Noble as Scarecrow, and Mark Hamill as Joker) and the overall improvement in the combat and predator systems. Almost everything about Batman Arkham Knight is perfect. The story, combat, atmosphere, and gameplay make it one of the best superhero games ever made. However the mandatory and tedious Riddler puzzles are a major downside and can make the experience feel like a chore. While i do consider this the weakest of the actual arkham games due to how i feel how the batmoblie is half baked. Along with some issues i have with the story (never was that into the Arkham Knight), The combat is at its very best here, and the world is beatiful to glide around. Even at its weakest, the Arkham Series is still a show stopper, worth playing.

The best arkham game for sure. Its main drawback is of course the simplistic combat system. I don't get the complaints about the batmobile, I'm enjoying it way more than melee combat in this game. PC port was close to unplayable on release which has long been fixed. To think that an unreal 3 fork engine with no raytracing to put stokes in its wheels can provide such visual splendor with impressive physics to boost. Really makes you ponder: perhaps we should go back.

Like a storybook marriage between game and player, time eventually cracks the thinly veiled bond. A great end to the trilogy Finally finished it. It's crazy that a game from 2015 still looks better than most new releases. Just gliding around Gotham in the rain and listening to the thugs on the radio is really atmospheric. The combat is as good as always, and the new Fear Multi-Takedown where you drop 3 4 guys at once is a great addition. But for me, Joker carried the story. Batman: Arkham Knight feels less like a superhero game and more like a slow walk through Gotham’s darkest night. The atmosphere is heavy from the start — rain-soaked streets, empty alleys, and villains that feel genuinely threatening. Combat is sharp and brutal, flowing perfectly once you find your rhythm. Predator sections are where the game really shines: quiet, tense, and ruthless in the best way. The story leans darker than expected, digging into Batman’s mind and pushing him to his…

One of the best "git gud" games I've played. Surprised it also doesn't have the "overwhelmingly positive" status of the previous 2. Better graphics than the past 2 games. Animations are very well done and combat flows like water once you master it. A game that will probably forever stand the test of time. Absolutely beautiful for a game released in 2015 with incredible gameplay that just adds to what was already great from the other Arkham games. The gameplay is elevated to the best it’s ever been in the series. The combat is brutal, fast, fluid and extremely entertaining. Batman feels like he’s at his peak The marvelous traversal and well-made characters will definitely keep you hooked from start to finish.

I completed Batman: Arkham Knight on my Xbox back in the time, and despite some flaws, I genuinely enjoyed the experience a lot. Finishing every side mission and fully clearing Gotham made the journey feel complete and satisfying, especially as the final chapter of the Arkham series after Batman: Arkham City. Visually, the game is stunning. Gotham is darker, bigger, more detailed, and incredibly atmospheric, easily the most immersive version of the city in the trilogy. The combat system is at…

Moody this #Ps2sday afternoon, so thought of DC Comics #Batman to compliment the feeling Batman Begins for #Ps2 is based on the movie & is an action-adventure platform game featuring the films voice cast, it has great visuals, but average reviews Was it any good to play? #GamersUnite #RetroGaming

Edit: This was originally a thumbs-up, but apparently the game requires me to get all the riddler trophies to get the full ending. That's an unfun slog. I'm actually quite disturbed they thought this was ok. It genuinely breaks my heart, but whoever made that decision has earned the game a thumbs-down and dropped my overall rating to a 7/10. Shame on you, throwing your coworkers' hard work away like that. Having almost completely finished the game aside from some of the DLC alt-character…

How tf did I never leave a review for this. Damn I feel dumb. In any case, as the kids might say, this game is PEAK. No long review needed. This was the absolute peak of gaming, and this is coming from someone who doesn't even care about batman, DC etc. The graphics look insane, but the game also runs really well ( a lost art nowadays), The gameplay with so many systems/mechanics/combos, the music, the ATMOSPHERE....omg so many games FAIL to understand what that word means when creating a…

I loved this one, and for me that was a surprise, as I finished Arkham City relatively unsatisfied. Over 10 years later it looks and runs great, and the writing surpasses the previous zero-risk entries of the franchise. To me the Batmobile feels amazing, even if it usually gets a lot of flak, and, while there is a familiar abundance of Riddler trophies and side missions, these feel less generic or clunky. For better or worse it is the peak Batman experience: enjoyable combat, more contained…

Arkham Knight is a game that i have very mixed feelings for , i waited so long to play this game after 100%ing all the previous games , so that the finale hits harder , and i''ll admit that the first playthrough of this game did deliver a really solid experience and the gameplay was the best in the series so far aside from some balance issues. The problem with Knight is that when its good.... its really good , like incredible....genuinly , but its lows are the lowest in the entire franchise.…
