What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 175 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (3,782 of 4,708 positive).
Players find it a fun, accessible crossover fighter with simplified controls. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note a lack of content, especially no arcade mode. [1][4] The inclusion of RWBY characters is a major draw for many. [5][6][7]

While BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle (BBTag) isn't a bad game by any means, it's sorely missing an Arcade Mode or something roughly equivalent (like Score Attack Mode with adjustable difficulty). I am writing this review from the perspective of someone who plays primarily alone. If you have someone to play with or don't think you will ever care for an Arcade Mode, this review is going to be pretty irrelevant (and I think …

The only (official) fighting game equivalent of dumping a tub full of action figures on the ground and mashing them into each other, it's dumb fun at its best. No, Smash isn't a fighting game. Be warned that there isn't a whole lot of content, not even a proper arcade mode, and the online can be somewhat spotty and desync at times with the rollback update. The cut plans for future characters seriously hurt it the …

I used to play this back in the day and a lot of Blazblue fans didn't like this one because it dumbed down the combos, which is absolutely understandable. For people who main fighting games and learn them for years or even decades on end, it felt like a slap in the face to them. However, as someone who had a lot of fighting game friends, I bought and played this anyway, because I wasn't as into fighting games as …

I first purchased BBTAG on my Nintendo switch in 2019 after seeing that it had the main cast of RWBY. It was my first fighting game I had ever played besides button mashing in MK10 and Smash Ultimate. After +300 hours playing on my switch I finally decided to purchase it on steam on sale with all the dlc. It was my introduction to a genre of fighting games I didn't know existed, anime fighters. With very heavy …

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is a fast, chaotic tag fighter that mashes together a bunch of different series in a fun way. The controls are simplified compared to other BlazBlue games, which makes it accessible but a bit shallow for hardcore players. Matches are quick and flashy, making it great for casual sessions with friends. Not the deepest fighter out there, but definitely a fun one.

Critics, per Wikipedia
The game received mostly positive reviews, with praise for visuals, music, online functionality, and game mechanics, but criticism was given to a lack of overall content at launch and its downloadable content (DLC) practices. Famitsu awarded it a score of 35/40. The game sold 11,696 copies for PlayStation 4 and 4,271 copies on Nintendo Switch in Japan. It had sold over 450,000 copies worldwide in June 2020. The game was nominated for "Best Fighting Game" at The Game Awards 2018, for "Fan Favorite Fighting Game" at the Gamers' Choice Awards, for "Best Fighting Game" at the Titanium Awards, for the Raging Bull Award for Best Fighting Game at the New York Game Awards, and for "Fighting Game of…

No matter what else I play I always circle back to one of those two eventually and get sucked in again. But some other lesser known ones that are good are: Cursed to Golf - 2d golfing roguelike, no combat or anything. There’s a bunch of different cards to make the ball do different stuff. neutral · AI labelView post →You should not be spending $50 dollars on this game. While the character interactions are cute and the appeal of various characters from different 2D fighters duke it out, there's not much else to this game, you'll get bored fairly quickly. While the game's cast has variety, most of their original fighting styles have been condensed to insultingly primitive degrees, leaving some of character's toolkits more to be desired.
