What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 243 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (1,003 of 1,139 positive).
Many players describe it as a mix of Astroneer and Planet Crafter, but opinions vary on whether it stands on its own. [1][2][3] Some find it a relaxing, casual experience with smooth progression, while others see it as too simple or unfinished. [4][5][6] Several reviewers note bugs, janky controls, and a lack of polish for a 1.0 release. [7][8][9]

It pains me to write this, but I have to agree with the others that are saying this game is not a 1.0 release. There are too many simple bugs and performance issues. The game is a mash-up of two games that I love to play and I like the concept, but it's just simply not ready for a full release. And the dev needs to hire actual play testers, the mining drone update is broken. It's becoming really tiresome that indie …

Very fun, if you liked astroneer or planet crafter this game is a great combination of both! I am hoping the dev releases an update in the future or dlc for possible new planets to explore kind of like how planet crafter did it and potentially coop would be nice.

A really lovely, relaxing game with smooth, non-frustrating progression. It’s fun to just roam around, gather resources, and watch the world slowly become more vibrant and alive. Nothing feels overly expensive, so there’s no grinding, and each new stage adds nice quality-of-life improvements. Overall, a very chill and wholesome experience.

This game is the love child of Astroneer and The Planet Crafter. That's everything you need to know.

Its ok, a cross between astroneer and planet crafter, much simpler. good for chilling out and listening to music while you play.

The turn-based combat was a ton of fun, and it was super cool to explore the skies and towns in the game! The game had a pleasant art style as well, and the soundtrack had a ton of fantastic tracks on it! It was a good time!

neutral · AI labelView post →It's a decent game and I encountered no bugs, but it's simplified Planet Crafters with Astroneer's aesthetic, and doesn't really bring anything new to the table. I also found that the game really slowed in the second half, where you just repeat the same actions to make more seeds/animals over and over again with little variation. If you're looking for a simpler version of Planet Crafter or Astroneer, or haven't tried them yet, then Blossom might be for you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just another early access game calling 0.1 version for a 1.0. Heard people calling it similar to planet crafter, but then again it can only be a demo at best in comparison. Game is filled with bugs, map is pretty small. Having to reload game thrueout the play cause game breaks every now and then. reached a point where to put down water pumps wasted 1 hr trying to put pump in 5 different lakes becouse game would not allow placement before i reloaded game. Mining upgrade still unable to craft…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the game but there's nothing unique or innovative about it; It's a mix of concepts from other games. I don't have anything bad to say about this game, but I also don't see any reason to recommend it. You run around gathering resources like usual and build whatever is next on the to-do list like usual. Once done, you unlock the next thing to make. There's nothing to look forward to and nothing specifically for fun. Every step you take is just to unlock the next step. This is one of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sorry folks, can't recommend this in good conscience in the state that it's in. Buyer beware. It tries to be Astroneer meets Planetcrafter, but it doesn't have either's polish or depth. While trying to copy others' games, it fails to deliver any of them. The concept looked great presented as a demo, but when the game is just the demo, only longer?

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The beginning of the game is cute and fairly enjoyable, and the early/mid exploration and automation isn't bad, but the late-game mechanics abandon the early game progression and the ending itself falls flat to the point of bordering on insulting. If you want a game about terraforming, Planet Crafter has this beat at every turn.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have only played a small time so this is a quick review. Pros: Game functions and playable on steam deck. Crafting and building seems simple enough. Exploration of the world is fun discovering new things to mine. Once you figure out the power game mechanism it becomes rewarding. Jumping is super silly but fun animation. Cons: Camera shake is hard for people who get motion sick like me. (This only happens in Lossless Scaling so play without it.) Lack of seeing your suits power until…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I REALLY wanted to like this game. I loved Planet Crafter. I enjoyed Surviving Mars. I LOVE survival, crafting, exploring.... and this game shows a lot of promise. The core gameplay is pretty good. There is a sort of story there, but that is a mixed bag. The resource gathering/automation is strong. I think they spent a lot of time making sure that was solid and it really shows. I very rarely felt like I was hard grinding. Now, that said - at times it felt TOO easy. I definitely hit a point…

neutral · AI labelView post →It takes Astroneer but without the style and mashes it up with Planet Crafter but without the exploration. Progresses too fast in the early game and really drags in the late game. Fun wobbly cable physics, but generally not much to it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It needs more polishing IMO. Most games in this genre will keep you oxygenated/powered when near your base. Its nice because then you can focus on organizing, crafting and progressing. This game however even when in the starting pod you drain power, meaning you have to disconnect a machines power to charge yourself up. ( I could only play for nearly an hour before the jank of the game got to me, so maybe later in the game you unlock a remote charge??). I died twice from low power because of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you can get this one on sale and haven't played Planet Crafter yet, get it, play it, then go play Planet Crafter. And if you enjoyed cute robot driving a buggy, go play Astroneer. If you've already played either Planet Crafter or Astroneer, you'll be disappointed in this one. Blossom is a very shallow game. There's little to do - go mine some resources that are plentiful everywhere, then build that next thing (or two of them if you're impatient), rinse and repeat. There's almost…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game starts out fun. It feels like the developers got halfway through the game and got bored. The second half of the game is boring and to be blunt, stupidly repetitive. The entire seed process for getting plants is just boring. Get two starting plant seeds, put them in another machine, wait, get new seed type. Get two newest seeds, put in another machine, wait, get new seed type. Do that for over an hour. End game spoiler, do not read if you are still planning on playing the game. The…

neutral · AI labelView post →It realy feels like early access, a lot of bugs, like the game sometimes just not letting u interact with stuff after u deconstruct something so u have to kill the game or the drones just stuffing the ores in any slot of the autostorage no matter if something else is in or the same stuff is in another slot already. Graphical glithces everywhere, for example the floor of habitats glithing with the ground and just flickering. The building menu is just cluncky with mouse and keyboard where u…

neutral · AI labelView post →Bugs ruined this game for me. Played through on Easy difficulty in under 20 hours and had no issues. Decided to play hardcore for the achievement. Had decked out final Rover with 600 battery sitting next to a wireless charger station connected to my base with 70050 power in batteries. Built one of the final tier craft buildings from the rover printer. Hopped into the rover while it was still crafting and my character instantly dropped dead, deleting my save file due to hardcore. This is the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the 15 bucks the game costs, it's a pretty good deal. Took me about 25 hrs to beat it. The game runs okay-ish (120 fps locked with 50-60% GPU utilisation) until you start growing plants. If you ever pick the game up, make sure to grow your plants a decent distance away from your base. The worst thing about it has to be the controls. The game relies on context sensitive prompts and you will constantly run into issues where you want to perform a certain action, but the game assumes you want…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been enjoying this game for the most-part. I would say it has a lot in common with Astroneer, minus the ability to deform and shape the terrain. Instead, the gimmick here is terraforming the planet, which is done simply by completing objectives-- finding the resources and blueprints to construct buildings to raise atmospheric pressure, temperature, etc. I think your mileage will vary depending on how deep you want a game like this to be, because it is ultimately a fairly simple…

neutral · AI labelView post →This game have a fun start. But when I hitting the late stage of the game I realize the testing facility spawned outside of the map boundary. It means I wasted 18 hours on a game that cannot reach to the ending. This kind of game breaking bug should not exist, NOT RECOMMEND UNTIL FIXED
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’m enjoying this quite a bit. It has been a fun one to play with my three year old. She likes space stuff and this is a fun way for her to engage with sci fi in a way we can talk about together. Sulfur is yellow (and stinky), ice melts into water, fuel makes the generator spin, etc. The aesthetic is charming and the main character robot looks like a cool toy. Highly recommend, especially for parents of sci-fi-curious kids 🙂

neutral · AI labelView post →I gave it an hour, but lost hope that I'd enjoy it. It feels like a very direct copy of several other games but without the personality. It runs poorly even at the very beginning, when it's not rendering anything but some very basic heightmap-looking terrain and a few assets, some of which look very familiar from other projects. I suspect it will struggle a lot more once the terraforming process begins. The UI and interactions are irritating and fiddly with a mouse and keyboard, but they're…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid little game which as others have said has the look and feel of Astroneer but with the goals of Planet Crafter. From what I have read it was built solely by one developer, so well done to them! Progression is good, I'd come back into the game with plans, hopes and dreams to accomplish. Game hasn't crashed once in the nearly 40 hours I have played it and performance and frame rates were good for the entire experience. Controls I think are fine, I played it with keyboard and a mouse, I…

neutral · AI labelView post →A nice, fun, and casual variant on "Planet Crafter", with a *lot* of jank, hopefully to improve in the future. This one really should be right up my alley - I love Planet Crafter, Subnautica (both), Satisfactory, Valheim, Last Caretaker et al. Blossom should fit right in. What consistently turns me off is its horrible (amateurish) UI, the permanent feeling that I'm playing a mobile game, and ubiquitious jank. At the very beginning, I got frustrated by misleading messages that I received: "Not…

neutral · AI labelView post →An impressive game given that it was made by one person. Hints of Astroneer and Surviving Mars, but is most similar to Planet Crafter. I liked the story better than the one from Planet Crafter, but didn't care much for how it was delivered. Terraformation is so fast that it breaks immersion; I terraformed the entire planet in 30 in-game days (40 on Brutal difficulty), watching huge trees grow in seconds without explanation as to how or why. The base-building aspect is entirely pointless; I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even at full price, this is a must buy for anyone remotely interested in this genre. A lot of people describe this as Astroneer meets Planet Crafter. That description will certainly give you a good idea of what you're in for, but it's important to note that this game is very much its own thing. There are a couple of reviews saying that this is a simplified version of Planet Crafter, and that is just not accurate. A more accurate description would be to say it's a streamlined alternative with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun cozy little self-contained survival crafter along the lines of Planet Crafter or Astroneer. Took me a bit over 16 hours to finish in its entirety. There's no real replayability here, but that's not needed for the price and length. I ran into no major bugs (had to close and reopen the game one time because keyboard input stopped working out of the blue, but frequent autosaves meant I lost very little progress). Drones are very dumb and misuse storage in annoying ways, but overbuilding…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As others have pointed out, this game is essentially an early access title with 1.0 slapped on it. Despite the roughness in the demo the concept was enough for me to have a full go at it. I did not hate it, and I did have fun, but I would not reccomemed this to anyone until (if) it has more time to bake. Progression is all over the place, yo-yoing between too fast and grindy slog. Several items could use more explanation as to what they do or how to use them. Game crashed out multiple times…

Do you enjoy procedural generation that locks critical POIs beyond the boundaries of the playable area? Do you like not having a map? negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good game but it has it's flaws, there's no tutorial, it just drops you in and expects you to know what you're doing, how you're supposed to do it and how to make progress, there's no ore tracker, so you have no idea where the ores are, leading to hours of running around trying to find the right ore for the task, the game character moves really slowly and while you can get an upgrade, the upgrade isn't much faster, the character will get stuck on things and automatically relocate you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really good game. It's rewarding to see the planet changing as you progress. Once you unlock the automation side of things (mining and storage) you can focus on the bigger picture. It's not a difficult or lengthy game but it keeps me hooked for hours at a time.. I nearly cried at the end.. lol.. I'm just about to start my second run through on Brutal mode which may prove more challenging..
