What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 47 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (81 of 91 positive).
Players find Bytebond a cute and fun co-op puzzle game, especially with a friend. [1][2][3] Many reviewers note the puzzles are relaxing and not too challenging. [4][5][6]

Too short and not as good for the price, only get if on sale for 5€ or less, both players have to have the game, 15€+15€ for a game that seems like 4 hour puzzle is too much

Bytebond is super cute and really fun to play, especially with a friend. The little droids are adorable, and the puzzles keep things interesting without being too hard. I love how each biome looks different and full of color 🔥😊

Overall this was enjoyable to play in local co-op, but playing with your best friend beside you is doing the heavy lifting. Everything looks nice, each area has a clear theme and the puzzles are well designed, although a bit basic. Constructive criticism: We really wanted to like this more, but even though everything seems pretty well made, it is just too easy. Once you understand how the mechanics work everything …

I've played many co-op games like It Takes Two, Sackboy A Big Adventure, Portal and many Nintendo games and I would consider this one the best yet because contrary to those ones, this one doesn't ask for both players to know how to play videogames. It's a great game to play with your wife that doesn't usually play because it's almost completely logic-based so we both can spend our time together thinking and doing …

Bytebond is a cute and clever puzzle game, focusing on cooperation between two players - also in couch co-op, which I always applaud devs for! Game has nice, neon-style look to it, while adjusting the levels with charming little themes to break the monotony (penguins and snow in PC cooling system <3). While it's clear that the main focus is on playing with another person the option for singleplayer is still there. …

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loving it! Very simple but unique gameplay and atmosphere. Especially liked the approach to puzzles, they are like small metroidvanias packed into a bottle, you solve each level little by little, getting more and more energy, and sometimes get surprised along the way. This way kinda reminded me of some of the Portal 1 levels. And the focus on cooperation is spot on. The visuals are beautiful with a lot of cool ideas like robot looking animals or funny details like snowmen to destroy etc.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have only played a short session with my friend so far, but the game seems fun. Pretty graphics, levels are not too easy or too hard so far, so I'm looking forward to playing more.

neutral · AI labelView post →I can count on one hand the number of levels that were challenging, it's mostly a fun time with a +1, like an experience instead of a puzzle game. Pros: - Remote play together supported. - Some levels had good puzzles. Cons: - Music is very boring. - Enemies are totally unnecessary. - Action sequences (Time trials) are waste of time. - Cutscenes/Story is non-existent. - Movement is not satisfying, there is no sprint and you have to spam dash. All in all, it's 5h of co-op fun to pass the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute AF! After the first hour playing, it looks totally great for an oldschool local coop on one or two keyboards! Nice, relaxing pace and gameplay with some action twists. Also, recommend playing single for at least some time, just to feel the fun of it - my brain is not braining sometimes when I want to move both characters at the same time in the same direction :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is really interesting, actually. I like the soundtrack — it’s not too boring and I don’t need to listen something else in the background. The visuals are pleasant, the controls are intuitive. I’d love to see a wider selection of languages for the game in the future, but overall everything was great. I especially like those two antiviruses, they’re so funny — I literally want one of them as a figure to put on my computer desk haha
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Congrats devs. Played with my son and we had so much fun :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stunning visuals, cozy vibe and a lot of fun riddles! Definitely title worth your time :3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the puzzles are a very comfy difficulty, nothing too hard but not too easy either, in general it's a nice way to spend an evening or two <3 the designs of the bots and the environment is a bit simple but very adorable. playing singleplayer gets a little hard sometimes, but that's mostly due to having to do two different things at once and i'm not really used to that LOL

neutral · AI labelView post →I'm currently half-way through Bytesbond that I'm playing with a friend and so far, we both enjoyed it! It's a funny and cute puzzle game that usually isn't all that challenging but from times to times it does test your abilities! I love the asthetics of it and it runs great on my laptop (which isn't exactly a powerhouse with an entry level GPU and mid tier CPU) and I've had no technical hiccups whatsoever. The soundtrack is nice too! I do wish the devs would add more abilities for your…

neutral · AI labelView post →Super fun co-op puzzler. Only about 4hrs of gameplay, but it was a very enjoyable 4hrs! We did remote play together, so we only needed one copy of the game, even still getting it on sale is recommended.

neutral · AI labelView post →Very nice, cute and funny adventure for two people playing together. Gameplay-wise it's rather simple and puzzles are more relaxing than challenging - for me it's a positive factor. I play toonish games like this (The Two of Us, Astrobot) for pure relax and here it delivers. The art part is enjoyable but a bit repetitive, however the animations and cute characters do the job of keeping us smiling very often.

neutral · AI labelView post →This game was great! Puzzles scare me, but the puzzles in this game weren't too hard to figure out. The robots are so cute, and the gameplay felt smooth and nice. Big fan of co-op games and this one was great with my friend! The soundtrack was also PEAK omg, I super loved the music in this game! Would highly recommend <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gorgeous visuals and some very clever puzzles. Had a ton of fun with a friend. Highly recommended for co-op puzzle game fans!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! Cool puzzles, cool worlds. Me and my son love it. Well worth the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An engaging co-op game with creative puzzles that require real teamwork. The simple graphics and smooth gameplay make it a lot of fun. The single-player mode works well too, but it’s definitely best enjoyed in multiplayer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great Co op experience for a Indie game. It takes two and split fiction has raised the bar very high but these types of games were the co op experience before them.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was fun!!! And tiring, giving my arms a workout XD Need a better surface to use the mouse controls on- I might get this game tbh! Thank y'all for watching :3 See y'all tomorrow for Bytebond and (possibly) Drink More Glurp!
positive · AI labelView post →We enjoyed the full ByteBond demo last night: 2-player couch co-op puzzle game (single and online also available)
positive · AI labelView post →Me and my friend had plenty of fun while we played this game! Unfortunately, I still don't know how we completed the game because we struggled with the very last part of it a lot and we are still confused how we managed it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid co-op puzzler - not much to add, it plays exactly as it looks it does, it's not overly difficult but does have some good "aha" moments, and was never particularly trivial. Around 5-6h to beat for us so worth even at full price
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bytebond is a cooperative puzzle adventure that understands exactly what makes multiplayer problem-solving enjoyable. Developed by DVD Unicorns and published by Anshar Publishing, the game takes players deep inside a corrupted computer system where two robotic antivirus agents must work together to eliminate dangerous malware and restore balance to the digital world. While the premise may sound simple, Bytebond succeeds because it focuses heavily on communication, teamwork, and constantly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really fun brain teaser, not too hard but not too easy. Great casual fun. Due to being a smaller studio there is a few bugs and jank, pretty sure it let us solve some puzzles incorrectly. Get it on a lil discount and you're gold.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bytebond is one of those hidden gems that give you and your player 2 a good time! The theme and levels are fun and although it wasn't super clear what we had to do in the final area, the hours on this game were well spend :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super creative and beautiful game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had so much fun playtesting this game with my twin and seeing the game get to the finish line. Now we've played it several times, but still... let's play again! And again!! :D It's great every time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In a gaming landscape where co-op gameplay is largely passed over, it's a breath of fresh air to get a puzzle game designed around a two player experience! On the couch same screen or over the network this supports both! The levels are fun and unique with an intuitive set of puzzles thats challenging but not frustratingly so and when you figure out the mechanics together its a great feeling! Def a recommend if you're looking for a game to play co-op!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My friend and I received free keys for the game. This is a cute and fun co-op with some light action and light puzzling. You move around a BB-8 type robot, gather energy, and deposit it in different places to do different things. Each world has different uses for the energy so it doesn't get too old. It's also cute how each world goes with the theme - each world is a different part of the computer and the little side creatures and blocks and things are thematic to that world. Each world…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 game but better with Friends !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun short puzzle game to play with a friend or S/O, in this case I played with my husband. We were able to complete the game in under 5 hours, the puzzles never felt too hard but just enough to get our brains going and engage in teamwork. The controls are intuitive, visuals are satisfying, so are the haptics/sfx -- the only thing I wish is to have limited/random obtainable skins throughout the game as rewards (vs set DLC) and mooore levels. Will patiently be waiting for content updates!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun game, especially plaing local coop. Graphic and sound design was absolutely amazing. Had a lot of fun, would definitely play again after some time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short little co-op puzzle game. Was fun but I wish the difficulty was greater. The last stage was good, the game should have had more of that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ByteBond is a fantastic Couch Co-Op puzzle game that has you trying to fix a computer from the inside. The puzzles are genuinely quiet amazing and getting harder the farther I you go and is definitely worth checking out with a friend! #CouchCoOp #CoOpGaming

Bytebond just dropped on Steam today—and here’s the verdict: great if you’ve got a friend, clunky if you don’t. You and a partner control glowing droids, shuffling power through…
