I would love to recommend this game, but I can't in this state. This negative review might change to a positive one assuming most issues are resolved with updates, but that this was launched as a 1.0 doesn't raise hopes.

The Issues: Bugs: Frequent bugs and jank. Localization: Poor and uneven localization, resulting in game mechanics being called different things in different places, …

Edit:16 hours in and still enjoying every minute! This game is very well put together. Some of the combos are game breaking, and man do i LOVE THAT! This is one of those games that should not be as good as it is. It has all the great parts that, when put together, create a whole new game that i never thought i would enjoy as much as i do. I look forward to seeing this game shine!

Great combo of deck building/upgrading and tower defense. Game has the 'just one more round' effect woven into its DNA> Suck a ton of time into it already and keep coming back for more. Highly recommended.

funny thing is, i was thinking there needs to be a tower defence deck builder, week later i see this gem. i been having fun, no bugs yet. heavily inspired by sts etc if ur into that sorta game. at only 13-15 bucks u cant really go wrong here. if ur on the fence about getting it ( i was too) look up some videos of people playing it, after i did i bought it pretty quick as it fits that itch i have for deck buiding AND …

neutral · AI labelView post →This game is OK - I enjoyed it, but I don't recommend it at the full price right now on the basis that there is very little difficulty or balance - and it feels very rough around the edges (granted at time of writing its early access)! I hope over time this game will shape into a diamond in the rough as I think the dev has a really good framework here that needs a little more tweaking. The game is a novel take on the TTD genre using a card system for placing towers, with some pretty heavy…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →#B-SidesandBonusTracks 2 Up And Down | Pet Shop Boys | 2009 I could have chosen any number of PSB songs for this challenge. Their b-side/bonus track game is so strong. Up And Down featured on CD 2 of Did You See Me Coming? and also on the compilation album Format. youtu.be/RZ9Uic9HB2s
neutral · AI labelView post →TL;DR: The deckbuilding elements in the game are not so bad, but the level design and the quality regarding the user interface are not its strong points, which may be a deal breaker for you as well. The most positive thing I can say about the game is its strategic depth. You can enhance your cards with various effects on top, creating different builds, so the variety concerning decks is pretty high. As you would expect from a roguelike, the game offers you many customization options for your…

CD 2: Trap Master or Candy Disaster 2: Trap Master is a Tower Defense Roguelike Deckbuilder game. The execution of the first candy disaster that was only tower defense genre with this one adding cards and a roguelite side is well designed and very fun. But still consider the first one better since there is more content and more replay value. This second part of the game is good with interesting map…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the best Sonic Origins experience: 1. Open Sonic CD. 2. Switch soundtrack to Japanese. 3. Close Sonic CD. 4. Switch to "Mission". 5. Select "Story Mode". 6. Enjoy the entire collection as 1 game, this time with the proper music. 7. End it all off by replaying 3&K as Knuckles.
neutral · AI labelView post →Very interesting combination of tower defense and Slay the Spire style deckbuilder roguelike. Pretty good variety of builds and deck archetypes.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so close to being a great game but as of now it is only good. The lack of control over card builds is the one point where I cannot get behind it fully I appreciate some randomness is necessary but to get all the way to the 3rd chapter and have no cards that can build walls means death, instantly more or less, so if you never had an option to take one your run is done when you arrive. It just needs a bit more balancing and a few tries to pull a card you want (instead of always…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a fan of the art-style but the gameplay outweighs this heavily
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So next time anybody asks what my favorite game is,I'm gonna say Sonic Origins Story Mode cause it's Sonic 1,CD,2 and 3 & Knuckles back-to-back-to-back-to-back with cutscenes
neutral · AI labelView post →8. Sonic CD - 2 hrs Growing up this was one of my favorites but now revisiting it, it might be my least favorite 2D Sonic game. It’s not bad but the level design is down right cruel. The time travel is convoluted. Soundtrack still slaps thou. Sonic Boom absolutely rocks. Anime cutscenes are great.
neutral · AI labelView post →You should buy Candy Disaster 1 it is much better. This game adds a Slay the Spire layer which is interesting on paper but poorly executed. The game is totally unbalanced. It's totally impossible to lose on a regular level but most of the bosses are auto-lose which makes it super frustrating. Slay the Spire found the formula to make all the levels challenging. The foundation of the game is good so I would recommend you buy Candy Disaster 1 which doesn't try to be a roguelite because it's…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →CD 2 Trap Master: Promising Premise Plagued by Bugs CD 2 Trap Master boasts an intriguing concept: a deck-building tower defense where you set traps to vanquish enemies. While glimpses of fun emerge, the experience is overshadowed by a persistent swarm of bugs. These glitches can be game-breaking, hindering progress and leaving you frustrated. Unfortunately, the current state of the game makes it difficult to recommend. While patches might improve the situation, the core gameplay right now…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really cool turret defense game with a card system. Need a bit more polish but is playable and really fun and fresh. If you are really this, It have already devoured your soul.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fancy tower defense, a good game for one evening.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very little content, cards, and build variety. Horrible balance
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably my favorite tower defense and roguelite crossover i've played. I will say that the new game plus difficulties aren't very fun. At some point bosses aren't able to be stunned and start teleporting out of stun traps but they're so tanky that you have to rely on the same cheap ♥♥♥♥ to kill them. On difficulty 7 the enemies get so fast that the horses get flung over push back traps so you've gotta just eat that damage.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was having fun learning the game until they started showing me AI generated content. Don't wanna play it anymore
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes!! Finally a game that is as good as Dungeon Warfare II. It takes a little getting used to, but I'm super thrilled with this game. I have too many hours to count on DWII (on mobile) and this game scratches all the itches...or perhaps it itches all the scratches? In any case, it's a blast!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a gem of a game :- Crafting lethal traps that shoot, scorch, slice, punch, pierce, poison and being able to catapult those pesky creatures into the drink when they are trying to get to your altar.. amazing fun, what more can you ask for. Graphics and sound also match the game-play which is "outstanding" Add to cart, purchase and play, don't miss out on all this fun :)

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2.5 hours in and not i haven't seen a single trap in the game, i haven't been this disappointed in misleading game advertising since rimworld.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →#Sonic Mania has joined Sonic 1, CD, 2, 3 & Knuckles in that I replay them every so often and always enjoy it. Superstars however, I don't know what it is (and I wish I did) but it's just not there (for me). I have completed it, found it enjoyable. Would love another Mania-style Sargnarg game.
neutral · AI labelView post →Burnout is a fantastic one. Most of the Pikmin, Yakuza, Panzer Dragoon, SoulsBorne, and GBA/DS Castlevania games kind of have that, as well. My favorite Sonic game has oscillated b/w CD, 2, and 3 (& Knuckles) so maybe that’s another.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been waiting for a game like this. I loved dungeon warfare 2 but I was never a fan of the pixel graphics. This game has the similar strategy gameplay but with cards. Lot of fun traps to use to change up each run. Early access has only 3 chapters right now. I'm having fun with it and can't wait for more content to be added. Worth the money if you like TD games with strategy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very unique spin on tower defense games, combining the traps from OMD with card based game, all while giving the feeling of a real-time gameplay. It takes time getting used to active card drawing and incremental energy generation, but its just to be expected since that deviates a LOT from similar games. Another positive point is that both the card-based aspect of the game and the map design forces you to play asymmetrically from very early on, which will break some minds I'm sure :) My…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A delightful surprise in the tower defense genre, this game stands out with its unique card-based gameplay and richly detailed, events
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a wide variety of enemies, bosses, and maps. With a wide variety of cards, you can play discover your own strategy! Cards are rewarded randomly for a different run each playthrough. You can discover plenty of unique combos by pairing up cards together! Inscriptions can be placed on cards to give them extra effects. There are also additional difficulties if you find the game too easy. This game has a lot of replay value. A very unique and fun tower defense.

neutral · AI labelView post →It really is genius. Kudos to Dunlap and his comms team. LePage is a clown and this is how you treat a clown - making him the main character in a silly game. Maines CD-2 deserves better than a Florida retiree representing them in Congress. Even an out-of-stater knows that.

Now that I have great synths, I wish there was a MIDI music option. Restarted the game last night in DOS. On CD 2. Lovin Malcolm McDowell.

CD 2: Trap Master is an absolute gem for fans of both tower defense and roguelike card games, blending the best elements of these genres into a uniquely satisfying experience. From the moment you start playing, it’s clear that this game is something special. The core gameplay revolves around strategically placing traps to fend off waves of enemies, and it does so with such finesse that you can’t help but feel a sense of exhilaration with each…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game wants to be slay the spire, but isnt fun. If you want a rogue-lite with paths that is fun, just play slay the spire instead. The tower defense portion is boring and not thought out well either.
