neutral · AI labelView post →Loving this rave review for CRASHLANDS 2! Congratulations to everyone @bscotch.net, I'm so excited for tomorrow's launch! "a visual smorgasbord of delight. Even when I’m getting my head pounded in by an enemy, I can’t help but stop and take in the view." HELL yes.
positive · AI labelView post →After 4+ grueling years of gamedev, it's just such a relief to see the first review for Crashlands 2 say such nice things!

neutral · AI labelView post →An extremely solid game, BScotch's finest work yet. I was already a fan of the first game, but even on PC Crashlands 1 felt like a mobile game port. The sequel is an entirely different story; the graphics and animations are vastly improved, the gameplay is much improved imo (a lot less grinding than the first game, deeper combat), and the world is more fun to explore while also feeling much more alive. Give it a shot!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing @bscotch.net's Crashlands 2 every evening for weeks! It's such a cheerful and engaging and constantly rewarding game to play. (And while it could have been jam-packed with IAPs, instead it simply has an old-fashioned purchase price.) kotaku.com/crashlands-2...

neutral · AI labelView post →We wanted to market Crashlands 2 as a "surthrival" game but figured we'd just confuse people
neutral · AI labelView post →Crashlands 2 isn't a survival game. It's a surTHRIVAL game!
neutral · AI labelView post →I just finished. Had to wait till it went on sale because I'm on SS. Yup, I'm 71 years young. I loved Crashlands and I simply loved Crashlands2. tip: if you get stuck, just keep playing, it'll work out, I promise. I'm sad I finished the game, so now, I'm going to play it again at a different level :) Buy it, it's hours of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a great game, at a glance having the same loop and mechanics as the first However, i feel like they overdid the presentation. Dialogue feels wayy too bogged down, mainly by the addition of emojis. Secondly i just couldn't tolerate the sound effect and music as it felt too... overbearing? I guess in short i just don't vibe with the new vibes, where the first game feels like a witty, wacky, and semi melancholic game. The second title feels like a disco fiesta. im hoping modding support…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Go buy the game. It's great! If you liked the first Crashlands, you'll enjoy this sequel. Most of the drawbacks from the original game are gone. That means more of the stuff that was great about the first game. Is Crashlands 2 perfect? No. Is it a ton of fun and filled with hours (50 or so for me) of content? Absolutely. Especially with such a small studio working on it. I had fun from start to finish. Are there downsides? Sort of. The items needed to upgrade your pets and equippable…

neutral · AI labelView post →Crashlands has a special place in my heart. as a younger person, I played the original when I was a pretty young kid. So, I loved this game. A lot of reviews make a big deal out of the grind, and while yes, it does have some grind, it's not nearly as bad as you would think, and it feels meaningful (also, there is nowhere near as much grind as the first.) It also fits well into the gameplay loop. The story was engaging, and while not extremely outstanding, it had some cute moments, but it's…

neutral · AI labelView post →I enjoyed the 12h I spent in the game, but I didn't finish it. I think that in terms of gameplay you see almost everything the game has to offer in the first 8-10 hours. It took me ~10 hours to finish what I'd call "the first act" and unlock the next part of the map. I checked HowLongToBeat and according to it, it takes ~32h to finish the main story and I simply couldn't imagine myself playing 20+ more hours of the same gameplay. Still, since I liked the time I spent with the game I leave it a…

neutral · AI labelView post →If you played the first Crashlands: It's a much improved version of that. If you didn't play the first one: It's a quirky survival crafting base building action adventure RPG with a hint of monster training. It's got a great controls, a sense of humor, a quick pace, fun combat that can even be challenging at times, and a tight gameplay loop. It doesn't overstay its welcome, serving up pure fun in just the right amount. If you like fun, Crashlands 2 is your pick.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a wonderful sequel to the first Crashlands. Woanope is a fully realized world in this one, complete with symbiotic relationships, creatures interacting with the scenery and each other, even new (and old!) religions and customs. New friends, old friends, super satisfying quests and side quests. I literally just completed a playthrough including after credits and feel a little emotional! The amount of love that went into building this universe is evident throughout. Basebuilding was much…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashlands 2 has improved everything from the first game. The new combat system is amazing, also the variety of monsters - enemies and pets. I beat the game in 50 hrs on Adventure with moderate base-building and upgrading almost all pets. At launch, the game felt a bit boring, but after a couple of major updates, it finally feels like the Crashlands 2 I was hoping for.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I stopped playing this game after around 10 hours. I'm not really the type of player who enjoys reading dialogue, and this game has a lot of it. On top of that, English isn't my first language, and there are quite a few words and terms I don't understand without looking them up. Several times, I got completely stuck and didn't know how to progress through the quests. Overall, it was pretty hard for me to fully get into the game. On the plus side, I really like the art style — it's beautiful,…

neutral · AI labelView post →The game is fine at first, but the grind kinda sucks, but not like the grind is too much or anything but it's just feels boring to grind over and over. It doesn't feel challenging, just a bit tedious. I liked the first Crashlands cause there weren't much other games back then, but this one didn't really reinvent or add anything new, it's pretty much just more of the first game and with how much more the games of now can give you, this one lost me after about 10 hours (20+ hrs in first save…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved the first game. It is one of my all time favorites. My favorite two parts from the first were the quick reactive combat and the interesting items you could use and use in combination of other items. Unfortunately, the second game's combat is slow... All of the attacks and gadgets have a hit time (0.4-1 seconds) which makes most gadgets useless or simply too difficult to use to make worthwhile. Also, the items are quite linear, so there isn't much of an incentive to combine different…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Summary Good game in the traditional ARPG sense but with Monster Hunter style equipment leveling system, instead of XP and character levels. The unlimited inventory system as usual is amazing and streamlines the grind. Good story if you have the patience to read. I've played the first Crashlands on the Nintendo Switch, and Crashlands 2 is an overwhelming improvement to the first one. There's no Character primary stats in this game, i.e. STR, DEX, INT, etc. Leveling your character in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just as much fun as the first one. But upgraded in every way. Most of all visually. Oh, and it's less grindy too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quietly chugging along and making my little 2D game assets. 🙂 I had the opportunity to get my first Steam launch experience with the wonderful team of Crashlands 2! Over the year, I made hundreds of assets across four projects and the variety always had me learning something new. #artvsartist2025
neutral · AI labelView post →Made this game during the #gmtk #gamejam as a palette cleanser after Crashlands 2 and it's rapidly bloomed into the silliest, possibly most fun thing I've ever made? I know the post-burnout pivot is a hot trend right now for #indiegames but maybe it's a trend for a reason 🤔
neutral · AI labelView post →I liked the first one, felt like progress was rewarding but this one is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too slow and grindy. Ain't nobody got time for this.

neutral · AI labelView post →a tribute to Crashlands 2 with this set since it comes out THIS WEEK! I'm so excited for this game to finally be out in the world! there are a million things I wish I kind of did a bit differently (much like making a game lmao), but ultimately I'm pretty happy with how this turned out 💖
positive · AI labelView post →Want to playtest Crashlands 2 before it comes out? We'll be running a closed beta test, likely in mid-February, to get a final round of feedback. If that sounds fun to you, throw your hat in the ring! The application will likely close next week.
neutral · AI labelView post →Crashlands 2 is a really solid sequel and a genuinely fun time! I'm surprised the game isn't more popular. After playing for ~41 hours (not 100%) and finishing the game, I didn't find it grindy at all. Collecting materials and combat are fun! The only grindy part is chasing rare building recolors or some post-launch equipment, and that’s optional. Pros Great story — funny, fun, and very wholesome Great characters, each with its own storyline and quests Terraria-like NPC housing, with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[playtime inaccurate, offline-only player] I had something of a love/hate relationship with the first game. The idea and vibes were great but the combat balance was way off, the flattened building style wasn't my jam, and the procedural map was too scattershot. Then BOOM, Crashlands 2 door-kicked in with a truly amazing sequel that managed to go above and beyond anything I could have expected. Every single aspect of the first game is expanded, refined, and polished to a gorgeous sheen. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best cozy games I have ever played. My Steam playtime may be under an hour, but on mobile I can’t put it down especially when traveling solo. The art style, gameplay mechanics, and story are all so perfectly crafted that once you start, you simply won’t want to leave this world 👌
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Flux made me realize I want to be a girl
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →9+/10. More of an adventure/hack'n'slashy crafting game, not that open of a world survival craft game, far too linear for that. Extremely weak when it comes to the NPC department. Yes, the oddballs are interesting, but there is barely any of them to populate your own castle/base of operations...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[I never played the first game. /shrug] I really enjoyed the humor of this game. The writing and dialogue made me smile, the social skills of the hero were on-point. But I also enjoyed the art style, animations, the gameplay loop of gathering items and crafting and helping out the residents of the world. I like the call-outs to dodge around from both the enemies AND the landscape. I like that sometimes the creatures out and about would sometimes get into fights with each other and that you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a big visual upgrade from the first game, all the environments are quite beautiful and detailed. At first, it really feels like the first game but much more polished. But beyond the art improvement, most of the design decisions here seem like a step backwards to me. The upgrade treadmill feels quite boring and same-y, quickly feeling tedious when I thought it felt very well-tuned in the original. Or, there's some neat ideas with the house companions' insight tech tree, but it ends up…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashlands 2 improves on the first game in every way, and specifically in one way that I found very surprising; it's writing. The game is a refinement on the formula, with anything you found in the first game expanded on and fleshed out. As Flux Dabes, the Hero of Woanope, you return with your companion Juicebox to Woanope after quitting your press tour only to get sucked out of the sky (again) and crashland (again...oh hey, the name just suddenly made sense to me...) leaving you in the…

neutral · AI labelView post →Fun sequel, more of the same, but still very fun. Edit: I stopped playing after about 20 hrs because it is literally all the same thing… if I could rate the game meh. I probably would. It’s good, but just needs to cut about 70%of the pointless grind to make it interesting. Why is there so much dialog? Why are there so many items to collect?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually... really like this game? Like, I think its 'a niche nearly-masterpiece' level good A lot of the main concerns I see about this game is that people think the gameplay (gathering resources and combat) are too repetitive, but I think they are slightly different enough for it to still be interesting. And the story and the oversaturation of text. There's so much text in the early game and it's really annoying. But if you get through those first few hours, the story and dialogue…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the humour of this game. Generally very fun to play as well
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved the original to the point of replaying it just about every year and I knew i'd love the sequel. At launch the game was great but suffered from a few issues and a lack of bosses. But now they keep updating it and fixing every little problem I had each time I go back to look, I love this team and the game is excellent!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really like this one, specially the humor of the dialogues and quests, definitely recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best game I've ever played, if you want don't starve but less hard and less scary then definitely download this game, the amount of weapons and mechanics in this games makes me want to progress even more knowing how fun it will be uncovering new mechanics, the colors of the game is fascinating everything is so vibrant and colorful that sometimes i stay in one spot just to stare at everything, the game humor fits very well while also can take itself seriously it's a great balance of…

positive · AI labelView post →GREAT if you have ADHD because you can forget about this game for a month or so and then come back to it easily because of the simple (ish?) controls. Plus the pretty colors tickle my brain :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At the ripe old age of 45 I started playing my first RPG style video game, Crashlands 2. I enjoyed it so much that I'm playing 1 now. I'm almost to the end of the game & I'm kinda sad because I'm going to miss my character friends. Does that happen to people who play RPGs regularly? What game next?
positive · AI labelView post →I beat Crashlands 2 last night! I thought the original Crashlands was for older devices but that must have been a different game from Butterscotch Shenanigans so I think I'm going to start it. I really like the main character Flux. The games are definitely political statements.
