Truth in avertising! Never have I seen so much trash of all sorts in a game, and this budget first-person shooter is arguably trash. Interesting comic book intro with photos. In game, it looks like they went out of their way to make it look ugly and dismal. Appropriate to the theme, but one of the worst-looking games I've played with lots of repeating textures. The game engine is in-between Doom and Duke Nukem 3d …

Everything about this game looks & feels disgusting. You'll want to shower after playing it. I love that. It's a fantastic shooter that makes every weapon feel super punchy and devastating. Even the axe makes people explode. Like, if that doesn't make you feel unstoppable, nothing will. And it's $3. Half the price of a Crunchwrap Supreme with comparable levels of filth. I was missing something in my life and this …

A $3 boomer shooter that knows exactly what it is fast, dumb fun. The gameplay is good enough, with some weapon feel, lots of variety, and smart enemy placement that keeps you moving (and occasionally lost). What really stands out is the look: it feels like some forgotten ‘90s shovelware CD your weird cousin had, digitized faces, gore attempt, chaos, and all. It’s so bad it’s good, and for the price, that’s more …

I'm in the process of playing through all DOSman games. This is my 6th one and also my current favorite by a wide margin. With previous DOSman games I played, they were perfect for a couple of hours of fun gameplay. Little bite-sized FPS treats. Dead Trash, on the other hand, though also short, was the first one I wish was longer or had a sequel. I would absolutely love to see this extended into a standard-length …

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DEAD TRASH is a worthwhile indie FPS. It has a fresh and unique enough theme, but is a little rough around the edges. + Non-voiced comic-like story between levels + Good, consistent theme + Decent variety + Distinct enemy aggression sound indication by enemy type adds clarity * ~2h playthrough * Grainy, pixelated, rough visual style * Hidden secrets * Barebone environment visuals * Simple enemy behavior * Routing through alternative routes or going back for alternative routes and hidden paths…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TROMA SHOOTER In reviews dedicated to boomer shooters, you can sometimes find a phrase like "a diamond among the trash." Dead Trash is an example of caustic irony. This game , which takes place in the middle of a garbage dump city, demonstrates a setting where the player extracts bullets from garbage bags to shoot aggressive hobos , bandits and zombies. This may seem absurd, inherent in banned exploitation films, but trust me, you won't find such a crazy setting in every game. Zombies…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The price of Dead Trash is less than that of a cup of coffee, and the aesthetic is fitting, but it's hard to find many other positives. I struggle to recommend because the title already tells you what to expect from the game. Dead Trash features a very frustrating gameplay experience. It feels extremely unpolished, as if the developers just didn't bother to pay any attention before releasing the game. The mouse look is awkward and jumpy, which is a significant issue for a first-person shooter.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is not your perfect AAA shooter. This is Trash Cinema made video game, and I love it. It's nice to play, fun and gory. And it's dirty cheap, even a full price. Totally recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who has dabbled in making games with EFPSE, I'm very impressed with some of the stuff they pulled off in here. And even beyond that this is just a fun, trashy (heh) shooter with some outstanding weapon sounds. Just please make the shotgun reload faster next time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple game, about 2 hours to beat. Just walking and shooting but its got great atmosphere and a lot of cool design choices in it. Feels like your playing a corny 80s horror movie.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly good game considering it's called "Dead Trash". It's gritty and grimy and plays like doom. It's short at only about 2.5 hours but what's there is fun. Excellent digitised photo sprite work. A handful of weapons that all feel good to shoot. And a final boss that had me raging.
positive · AI labelView post →The final boss fight is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terribly designed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but sweet fps. Best positive are the guns feel and sound satisfying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's remarkably simple and honestly pretty easy. The only times I died were some boss fights near the end. The dirt cheap price helps sell the extremely low rent atmosphere. There's a lot of charm to the presentation though, and as someone that actually likes the melt movies it's homaging like The Blob and Street Trash, I found it an amusing if short shooter experience.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played awhile and killed a boss. but after sometime, maybe after chapter 3, game starts crushing at loading screen. so I cannot continue. and deleted it. While the game initially feels nice and old-school, it becomes repetitive after a while. Some weapons lose their importance. Some sound effects are very loud and tiring. Although the graphics are stylized, it's not just that; they're poorly designed. They used a double-door skin and made it a single-door. In some places, the graphics are so…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short fun silly oldschool FPS. My 8 hours gameplay consists of 2 playthroughs of the main game and 1 playthrough of the DLC. And I enjoyed every single millisecond of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent old-school boomer-ish shooter with a lot of simple charm. And at an insane value! Don't miss it if you like old school shooters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The price point for the game is solid for the length of the game. It should you take you 1-2h. However I can't really recommend this game. The level design is very boring and basic. So are the enemies. Guns feels pretty solid, but the gameplay is just uninspired. Comic strip cutscenes bring some fun to this. This is kind of solid practice work for the developer. Hopefully with better engine and more experience they can develop more fun and complete experience.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2/10 its only 3$ 3 bosses 6 levels - no map - almost no ammo would still get on deep sale
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has more of a soul than anything released by bungie. the base game does have a plethora of problems- mainly slow movement, lack of resources, lack of clear UI, and a lack of polish. Story is simple but enjoyable. The DLC, however, is second to none. resources are given in the right quality at the right time. The movement has been sped up in the correct way. UI also has been over-hauled with the addition of knowing how much ammo is in a gun at a given moment- making combat feel less…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like the sound design on the guns.... I could not tell you why at all i just really do
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short, cheap, and honestly pretty dang fun. Only complaint I have is that the pistol is SOMEHOW louder than the double barrel shotgun. But other than that I had a fun time!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8/10 I really liked the old-school aesthetic of this game. It gave me strong classic doom vibes and it kinda reminded me of when my dad used to tell me about playing on the atari back in the day. This retro style is one of the things I loved the most about this, and overall I had a really good time with it. My only complaint is that it feels a bit short, but aside from that, it’s a very solid game and easy to recommend. Although of course, try to buy it just if it's on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beat it in 1 hour. It's alright for what it is. Leaves you kind of wishing for something a bit more fleshed out. Some explosive weapons would have been a nice addition. I did not regret playing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pure, honest boomer shooter. Great price. No nonsense. Love the artstyle. Weapons feel balanced. The secrets are not obnoxiously hard to find. The achievements don't require you to jump through a billion hoops to get them. And the shotgun FINALLY doesn't take an eternity and a day to reload anymore! 10/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice and gritty FPS
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The bushes and trash bags spin when you walk into them lol. The game play is really bad. The cut scenes are the best part. I love retro FPS, but this isn't worth the money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As an avid enjoyer of EasyFPS games, I was very excited for Dead Trash's release, and after the recent reveal of the upcoming DLC I decided to finally try it out. Unfortunately, I would be lying if I said this game sat on the same level as most of DOSMan Game's other projects, even out-of-studio ones like SATAN. While the game's visual and audio design are incredible, the gameplay itself tends to feel lackluster throughout many portions of the game due to some questionable decisions.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun boomer shooter. What stood out for me is definitely the gritty and ''trashy'' aesthetic of this game, the game does a very good job with that. The weapons also felt surprisingly punchy and very satisfying to shoot with, especially the smg. The levels overall are just basic boomer shooter narrow corridors with some slighty bigger open areas. I can still fully recommend this game especially for it's low price. Edit- Just played the Snowpoint dlc and it's just as good as the main…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game: Dead Trash What’s it about?: A scavenger fights to escape an abandoned, quarantined city overrun with bandits, crazed survivors, and trigger-happy government agents, while slowly uncovering the secret of why the city was quarantined in the first place. How long does it last?: About 2 ½ hours. What’s the replay value?: Moderately low. You’ll come back to it once every few years. What works?: *The game nails the atmosphere and feel of a schlocky, z-grade 1980’s European…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I saved this for last on my Dosman expedition because I thought this looked like the best of their EFPSE games. While I'm not sure it's the best...it's good. I like the look and general style of Dead Trash. Guns feel ludicrously powerful. I just wish the movement speed was faster. Practically a cover shooter with your abysmal strafing speed. Yellow Snow was a hoot though...brief as it is. I also applaud the dev just now adding two more levels... That I will probably never play because there's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Classic urban decay and pure apocalyptic filthy squalor simulator - beautiful. Worth more an a triple-A $$ game. Just buy it and rest in trash
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First DOSMan game I've gotten around to. Honestly a solid 2/3 hour boomer shooter. Shooting is fun, the story is goofy fun. Very enjoyable and looking forward to trying the rest.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dead Trash: 100% COMPLETION REVIEW If you love completing games, take a look at our [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/44890520/]curator site. One can say this game is trash... except it's pretty accurate, since we'll be looking at trash textures the whole time! It's a short boomer shooter where we kill hobos and hazmat soldiers in a seemingly post-apocalyptic city, plagued by an infection, and our goal is to figure out the reason for the outbreak. Takes 2 hours to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Found a guy who s**t himself to death, gibbed the body, got a weapon. Wonderfully rotten game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didnt manage to play much cause i tried this game during my lunch break but this game was gited to me by my friend Westeh, and honestly this ♥♥♥♥ is funny as ♥♥♥♥ when i saw that the dumpster is nothing but a sprite, i laughed for 3 minutes straight with tears running down my face from the vibe of the game you can tell that someone was bored out of their mind and wanted to make a game that is both serious and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane in tone and i cant wait to try more of it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A dope ass game the graphics are sick
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel conflicted to say this but it feels like this is the best homeless person themed boomer shooter. Possibly the only one of its kind but not half bad.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An excellent indie FPS that scratches that niche itch for 90's digitized sprites. The digitized sprites are very well done, and have a unique visual flair to them which gives off the vibes of a low budget video game from the 90's, but in a good way. While the level designs are pretty linear and there isn't much content, I think that the game's niche charm, punchy combat, and low price point make up for it. I say give it a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Note: This review was written prior to the August 2026 update which added more achievements. The game took a little over 2 hours to 100% You're getting exactly what you're paying for. It's a cheap, short, simple game that worked pretty well through one sitting, and every achievement can easily be picked up along the way. This game is a love letter to boomershooters, and it shows. You have a wide selection of guns that can be used all the way through, secret doors, and a 3D environment full…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and sweet FPS experience with dark atmosphere and satisfying gunplay. Well worth the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good game, with a slight bias towards resource management. Has achievements as of the recent update, so worth my time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Get on board. this game is cool. It has settings for rebinding. the DLC is also very good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent little old school fps, sadly without quick saves (but it has manual saves). EDIT: now it also has quick saves.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're looking at this game you might ask yourself "Oh great, another generic Boomer Shooter. Is it really worth it?" And the answer this time is: YES. I am shocked myself but this is one of my favorite shooters I got to play in the last little while. What I love about it is that it has a straightforward, simple, no frills, no BS philosophy and design to everything. The game's aesthetic reminds me of the cult classic Nothing But Trouble, what I can only describe as a "Garbage-punk" dystopia…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →beat and 100%'d the game pretty quickly. As a fan of boomer shooters, I found the concept interesting and honestly pretty fun at first. The guns sound great, each one has its own identity, and the enemy variety is decent. I'm also a huge fan of this retro aesthetic. The problem is that the game has some good ideas but doesn't really know what to do with them. The gameplay gets repetitive way too fast, which is kinda ridiculous for a game this short. It really could've used better level design…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →an overall solid boomer shooter 7/10 POSITIVES: 1. Enemy variation, there were new enemies almost every level and it never felt old. 2. Weaponry, every weapon felt useful although some were much better than others, running low on ammo for certain weapons is an issue if you continue to use them for a long period of time. 3. Style, the game has a unique style I haven't seen in other boomer shooters where it seems that most of the sprites are real photos with a bit of editing? It has a really…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a game where the guns feel like guns. idk what else to say.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like trash and blood like me, DEFINITELY BUY THIS GAME! It's worth every single dime, and has one of the most unique mechanics! YOU LITERALLY BREAK TRASH BAGS FOR AMMO, THIS IS SOOOOOOO COOL!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun indie shooter that captures the feeling of campy 80s action/horror flicks like Toxic Avenger and Street Trash.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic boomer shooter that feels like a love letter to 90s and early 2000s gaming and culture. Love the digitized graphics and glorious gibs. The storytelling in the comic book style is fantastic. Level layouts are well done with linearity that rewards exploration but doesn't get confusing or annoying. If you like boomer shooters, digitized graphics, graphic violence, comic books, and resident evil style secret labs, you will love this. I really hope these devs make a longer sequel or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kick bubble gum. Chew ass. Take out the trash
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is it the best FPS I've played? Not at all. That said, for only $3 I'd say it was an enjoyable 2 hours. This game for me is what I think of when I hear "Boomer Shooter", no crazy movement tech, no constant hot swapping, just simple run and gun. I feel like this game really captures the spirit of the indie games scene too. It's made by a handful of people that used their knowledge to create a passion project. You're not getting crazy enemy designs or some kind of extravagant arsenal here. Why?…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but better than i expected. Artwork is badass. Give it a shot if you enjoy retro shooters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly fun and has one of he best shotguns from any game, in my opinion.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The guns feel amazing, like the dev actually has fired guns before. No joke the .45 and AK feel like some of the best in boomer shooters. The shotgun is amazing too, however I wish I could fire both barrels at once. My only issue with this game is there isn't more of it. I do find the replay value to be good though, if you enjoy old FPS games like BLOOD I'd say you'd like this.
