Players find #DRIVE Rally a visually appealing and accessible arcade racer, but many note it feels undercooked and repetitive. [1][2][3][4] The game's handling is divisive, with some praising its smoothness and others criticizing it as overly simplistic or floaty. [2][5][6][7] Performance on Steam Deck is praised by some but criticized by others for worsening with updates. [8][9][10][11]

I hate to dog on this game, but I wasn't impressed. For your money, there are other indie arcade rally games that offer MUCH more content and entertainment than this. Rush Rally 3, Super Woden: Rally Edge, and Rally Arcade Classics blow this game out of the water by comparison. This game tries too hard and not enough at the same time. The presentation is waaay over the top in style and stuff like the co-driver …

This game is good and worth picking up (mostly on sale). If you are interested in it, go ahead, but... a few things I don't like are, from minor to major: (1) When you go in reverse, camera looks back which makes it harder to amend and clear what you hit in the front. (2) Copilot comms are trash and filled with dumb jokes. (3) Map 2 and 3 are annoying for the wrong reasons: first there is this one car with a big …

#DRIVE Rally is a neat, casual arcade rally game but its extremely simplistic driving, overly forgiving ruleset and unremarkable campaigns will likely turn away people who wish for something to really sink their teeth into. The best quality i can give to #DRIVE Rally is that if you have ten minutes to kill and want a game that lets you live out the fantasy of being a godly rally meister with very little actual …

I'm glad I didn't write the game off initially and stuck with it but there's a few things that make you wonder why it's not an early access title. For starters the game has a pretty good art style that oozes a lot of character—it's a real shame that the game does absolutely nothing with it. Sure, you get these beautiful scenic routes, a quirky navigator, and amazing car designs, but there's no story, lore or …

A rally arcade racer that is visually memorable and ok to play, but undercooked and not fully using its strengths to its advantage. Built in such a way that you will end up driving every (uniquely handling) car at some point for variation, it also limits itself to a single overworld for about 24 or so races in a row per championship, making it repetitive anyway. You can go through the effort of alternating between …

Players who liked #DRIVE Rally talk about great art style and visual design; those who didn't talk about co-driver dialogue is annoying and unhelpful. Which matters more to you?

The game itself is an uninteresting mobile endless runner. Watch one ad and extend your record a little longer kind of game. But I waited for it to be ported to PC for the longest time. Why? The cars. It boasts a list of more than 600 playable cars. 600. That's on par with the AAAs like Forza and Gran Turismo. And this game is…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game should have been a hit for me, but it misses the mark in some crucial points : - First, people who say co-drivers are bonkers are right. The best thing you can do about them is silence them. They are completely useless. I've tried toying with timings, making them late or early, but nothing works, they spout absolute nonsense. It's not just that they are late or early, like they tell you not about the next turn, but the one after that, or maybe even after... Nah, sometimes they're…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the style and the music is pretty decent. Unfortunately the fun just isn't there. Not to be a huge jerk, but the game definitely feels like a game made by someone who's only ever interacted with battle passes and online cosmetic shops. There just isn't a game here at all. The physics feel non-existent, like the cars have no weight and the breaking/grip is all in 100%. The progression system feels disappointing and meaningless. Since the actual driving of the game is un-fun, competing…

neutral · AI labelView post →Despite all the positives I cannot justify the forced cut scene after every campaign race. I can't ignore that when you repeat campaign races, a long unskippable pointless boring cutscene is handed to you with no option to disable them. You get a stupid moving camera shot of your ugly car and hammer the controller as your lifespan flows into a void. While I put up with it for 24 races and unknowingly completed the campaign with one of the drivers (only to repeat races on the same driver), the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's potential, but I wouldn't recommend this game in its actual state. The bad: AUDIO: - Music sucks, thankfully it can be disabled. But that leads me to my next point. - Background audio is lacking and unoriginal and is actually bugged, after some races it stops playing, to fix it you have to pause the game and resume it back, and you have to do this each time it bugs, which I think that’s every race lol This last point was fixed :ss13ok: - Braking sounds are unbalanced, these are way…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, I gave the game a second chance, and now ready to give my review: Don't Recommend. The most important thing: I really don't like how driving and racing feels in this game, even more: I don't feel the car at all. Racing in this game is not fun, and Co-driver's lines make me cringe af, they r so out of racing world, and lame.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buggy disaster. Car sounds are non existent. Car physics and braking mechanics are disappointing. The game has so much potential and I would love to revisit it if anything gets resolved.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, I'm playing this game on the Steam Deck, and there is much to love about it, yet the performance keeps getting worse thd mord updates it gets. At launch I was able to play at Ultra Setting 60fps on 10TDP. Than I had to rub it at full 15 to get the 60fps, now I can't even get it to run at 60fps on medium settings. Please help, if you have any idea on why that is, because it's such a small lovable rally game.

neutral · AI labelView post →The art style: phenomenal. The game is a love letter to cars and rallying. The gameplay: ... It's okay. Honestly, it controls better on keyboard. The shorter the keystroke the better, these cars will SLIDE. I appreciate the cars all feel different on the road. That's my own problem, though. People complain about how floaty the cars feel, and I agree. However, I feel like this is intentional. The game drives like how rally feels to watch without the insane amount of driver skill and focus it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The handling model is so simple. The only way to crash is by falling asleep (which is an issue if you're feeling sleepy), and even if you crash you can still win by 10s in hard mode. The weight of the car is inexistent, there's an infinite amount of grip on all surfaces, engine brake isn't a thing at all but that's not a problem because you can stop in 3 meters at any speed. The looks and vibes of the game are great but it's just not fun imo.

neutral · AI labelView post →meh. while cars have nuance between how they turn and brake, they all share the exact same gearing and top speed. maps get repetitive very shortly, even though they look pretty the actual routes are flat and static. also as many other reviews have mentioned, the sound mixing is very poor. for the price i feel like you could do a lot better for a rally game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really fun rally experience: it looks cool, the controls are good and the game is motivating to complete the tournaments and collections. For Steam Deck users: the game runs smoothly on the Deck (I got the OLED model) and is very easy on the battery, I usually could get above 7 hours of playing time without recharging (as in: going from 90-100 % to 10 %). There were just two things that I found to be having room for improvement: 1. the menu could be a little bit more intuitive to use, 2.…

Playing this with a wheel is a big nono is possible but awful. Handbrake is like a 200 degree turn no in between and braking is immediate and harsh, again with no in between. On hard mode you can be +1 sec behind and next checkpoint (that is 5 seconds apart) you are -8, like…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For 20 bucks, this is a solid arcade racer. It took me a while to get a hold of the handling, (it got exponentially better once I changed the steering on my Gamepad to Linear) I had fun with it. The co drivers are not great, I agree. If you go in expecting DiRT you will be disappointed but if you want a short little racing game so you can stop playing Need For Speed for a while, you can't go wrong with ones one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This goes down in the books as a top favorite racer of mine, hands down. Money I'd gladly spend again. It takes a minute, but once you figure it out the handling is smooth & satisfying, as well as featuring a considerable difference between how each car feels to drive, which is a huge personal favorite. The main championship mode takes you on several drives at a time with each car sequentially, as you unlock them and their higher gear versions, which allows you to find your favorite…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a decent game with unique art style. However I find it super dumb to not let players control the camera with right stick. Especially so when you have free roam mode which requires players to literally "look around" for collectibles.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →#Drive Rally is a pretty fun rally game. I really liked the variety of biomes for the races and there’s a good number of cars to choose from. The achievements are no longer a boring grind, and the music actually fits the races really well. The game isn’t very challenging, don’t expect a difficult rally game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Drive Rally is a great arcade rally game, especially enjoyable on the Steam Deck. STEAM DECK Played natively under SteamOS. Locked to 60 fps with max settings and still getting 4.5-5 hours of battery life. Runs flawlessly. THE GOOD Great Visuals Music Cars Controls show steam deck layout Good set of settings to customize your experience THE BAD Minor bugs, some hairpin turns bug out and penalize you. No FOV settings, that made the cockpit and top-down camera unusable for me. The gameplay…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moza wheel support apparently doesn't include steering? Can't get car to turn.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely zero Force Feedback. I wouldn't even know if my steering wheel was working if it wasn't for the screen. I feel lied to when the game description said wheel compatible.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a bit off the mark as a rally game for me, sure the tracks are nice but there's not much of that chaos that really comes with rally. It's an arcade racer sure, but even there you have to sell the fact that you're racing on slippery ground, and it just always feels extra grippy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate leaving negative reviews on games with a smaller game audience, but I just cannot help myself but mention a couple things: The brake mechanics are awesome; it feels like dirt rally 2.0 but I have a problem with every other part of the car handling. The cars redline WAYYY to quick. This is a gripe of mine, as I am used to more "racing sim"s. So I don’t blame this game for being arcade-y. But it kills any sort of skill expression, as carrying the speed through a corner doesn’t matter…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all, the game is playable and works well, no bugs, beautiful art, etc. I wonder if it's good for very arcady players of if it's designed for multiplayer parties, or somehow as a funny-haha rally game. I wanted to like it but sorry, the game feels messy. - On championship, you don't even know the specifications of the car you are going to drive. I had to adapt during the drive to a rwd or a awd, while not knowing what I had under the steerwheel. - AI chronos in championship are a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay is fun, fast paced and the levels feel challenging, but there's one place the game falls short and its audio, the audio is really poor, you can't hear the engine roaring from inside, it sounds muffled as if i was just over revving my little skoda fabia, and even that sounds louder. Music is too irritating. Extra sfx are random and wildly inaccurate
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is very fun and addictive arcade rally game. It's on an easy side, but this is a rally game so you always can improve your own results. The game runs perfectly on a steam deck.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think I gave this game more than a fair chance by beating all of the Teams Championship Modes. For starters, I feel like it is Style over Substance. The visual Style is great, the car designs are top notch, the Soundtrack is great and the Stages for the absolute most part have a great flow to them. However, the driving itself is just awful. I grew up playing Racing Jank from Davilex and the likes. Drive Rally sits comfortably among that jank. Tires are glued to the ground, so there…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As racing sim fans, we tend to be the snootiest and demanding only the most premium steaks, but once and a while you just want a damn cheeseburger. This is that cheap and filling cheeseburger. While we are in a void for rally racing after EA murdered the DIRT franchise in daylight and AC Rally is an unproven, this game exists as a simple way to get a no-frills fill of stage racing. There's no realistic physics, sim team management, repairing between stages, or tire and track degredation.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing little lightweight rally and freeroam driving game. This will become my go-to for my little Linux laptop I mostly use for programming (i7-1065G7). I bet it will work well on Steam Deck too. There are lots of keyboard steering scaling settings, find the one you like most. For me "Smooth step" is the one that feels most natural vs other arcade racing games I've played on keyboard. This will take the place of Cranks and Goggles for me, which I got a Perfect Game a while ago and I miss…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game on its own isnt too bad, art style is cute. and handling isnt the worst. what bothered me the most is its clearly a mobile game, and doesnt do much about changing that aspect. the ui is kinda bad. and after doing 5? maybe 6 races i got completely bored of the game.

neutral · AI labelView post →Pretty solid game so far, still got a ways to go, but there is tons of potential here. I'd say it's worth the 10 bucks I paid, there is some fun to be had. The driving physics is about as arcadey as it gets but thats not a bad thing. You can take corners at great speed and thats fun lol. The cars are cool and there is some decent tracks. Still feels pretty early access though, they need to polish it up. If they keep adding stuff this game will be really worth it, pick it up if you're a big…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun arcade-y rally game, plenty of maps with different obsticles Controls do take a bit to get used to, little finiky learning to brakes/handbreak manouvers you can do. there have been improvements recently which do help! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this for my wife so she could get a little rally experience. She told me it felt bad and I had a go at it. She was right. Never mind how bad the controls are, and the fact both gas and break are digital. This game is crazy easy. I quickly cleared the Benzin campaign in a little under two hours. In that time I saw, two, just two red splits. And I suck https://youtu.be/ddksHIMh7y0 I found out you can roll on the forth last stage, still took the win with a -47.3 split. I’d beat it even…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the game itself has a cool style and great handling, I have a few gripes. No multiplayer, no rally cross with bots, barely any proper progression, the currency you receive after each race feels meaningless and the cars should have a bit of a deeper customization variety. I think that if the game added multiplayer, proper progression system similar to Dirt Rally or WRC then it would feel a bit more rewarding, add a bit more customization where you can add more bits and pieces to your car…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun arcade racer, some customization, and lot's of roads. While there are some incorrect voice lines, the gameplay makes up for it. This game is great for chilling and being competitive, and the physics are fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rating 9/10 Intro Ever since Dirt Rally came out, I was convinced that Codemasters were no longer interested in its casual enjoyers, including me. Seeing as the franchise started taking itself too seriously since then, with even the proceeding Dirt 4 removing a lot of what made Dirt 3 great. Which is where #DRIVE Rally comes in. Granted, it only focuses on rallying and a collectathon mode on the side, but it does that one thing really well while not needing a racing wheel to play. Positives +…
