What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 182 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (508 of 551 positive).
Players praise the game's story, characters, and soundtrack, calling it a charming and emotional experience. [1][2][3][4] Some reviewers find the gameplay shallow, the minigames uninteresting, and the choice system too binary. [5][6][7] A few players criticize the save system and forced replaying for different endings. [7]

Not my cup of tea. Repairing stuff is mostly an uninteresting mini-game. The time-machine building should be a joke based on the components, but is somehow taken seriously. What annoys me most: There is only exactly one right way to behave to the customers. I don't wanna be friends with extortionist bullies. Instead of making my own decisions I'm forced to walk the line the game want's me to. If you are into …

Dynopunk is a game of mixed genres, but predominantly follows the formula of a visual novel and is especially similar to Coffee Talk. It has plenty to offer narrative-adventure fans and the quirkiness of the dinosaurs helps give it a unique flair. For the high quality this game provides, it appears sorely underappreciated here on Steam, and I hope to see it gain the popularity it so rightly deserves. Pros Character …

Let me tell you, I wasn't sure what to expect with Dynopunk. Dinosaurs? Cyberpunk? Repair shop? It sounded like a wild mix, but man, it totally works! You play as Chris, a regular mechanic just trying to make it in this crazy world where dinosaurs run the show. The visuals are killer – like, seriously cool pixel art with this awesome neon glow. And the soundtrack? Pure fire. Synthwave beats that perfectly capture …

One of the few games that made me go "Oh ♥♥♥♥, is that me? Is that what i'm like?" and encouraged me to make some changes for the best (Mia, I failed you and myself; we shouldn't be afraid of conflict. Mia, noooo!). This is a charming game that I could not put down until i reached the ending. The soundtrack and visuals are so soothing, the characters fun to interact with (I love you Justin, you magnificent beast, …

Absolutely fantastic visual novel I've ever played, It's 8 hours long for first playthrough but there is a lot you can do with very different outcomes and the story does depend on your actions which is something I rare to find these days. The Animations are nicely done while being quite simple as well as the writing is really good too, not to mention the music, It's just wonderful. The dinosaurs make it even better …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dynopunk is a Russian indie game with a very interesting character-focused visual novel story. I ain't a visual novel expert, but even I can tell that Dynopunk is a fun little experience worth your time. The game is around 8+ hours long and divided into 21 unique scripted days. Your choices DO matter and result in multiple endings and outcomes for all characters. The gameplay is baby level easy. It is for all ages, maybe even a bit childish. The music is a huge part of the game and shouldn't…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dynopunk is unironically a fun visual novel + minigame-focused game and made me teary at the end (: Would recommend for a really emotional but also hilarious and cyberpunk themed game.
positive · AI labelView post →imagine VA-11 Hall-A but with a much more annoying intermittent minigame and cheesier/worse dialog and you get Dynopunk. The narrative is quite on the whatever side (slight spoilers but that t-rex girl at the end is a kinda funny route to add) and the music isn't as good right off the bat either. The art is cool though. Being able to influence the characters is watered down to a pretty binary "good or bad" type of system, which is cool that you can even influence their emotions in the first…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Godawful writing and a completely railroaded story. Devs must have some kind of humiliation kink considering that any action in which you attempt to tell people who are being complete a-holes to your character to go f*ck themselves is met with severe punishment, no matter what choices you make. These surly characters aren't likeable enough to warrant this, nor do I enjoy the experience of being a helpless cuck who apparently can't call the police when some psycho douche is literally breaking…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this made it 80% of the way to being something interesting, but was unfortunately let down by the writing. Dialogue is clunky and flows poorly. The structure is good, but the execution? not so much. For a game this narrative focused, that is kind of a death knell.

Have fun, moron, because our ♥♥♥♥♥♥ save system won't show you any mercy, either." ♥♥♥♥ off. A damn shame I'm passed the refund window, because god knows I want to out of sheer spite for such ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ design. Edit now that I've had time to clear my head: Man, ♥♥♥♥ you, that ♥♥♥♥ isn't cool when the game is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fantastic game if you want to sit and chill for a few hours. Though the loading menu was buggy, it was very easy to combat and not that big of a deal. However, I should warn you: do not start playing this game at 22:30 and continue playing it (and even resorting to using an online guide) for 13.5 hours straight, just to reach the ending before you had to go to visit a friend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The only way this game could be better was if I got to shatter Roy's skull into a thousand pieces.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game's alright. The aesthetic is handled pretty well, the storytelling is... competent, the characters have a pretension to being multilayered but for the most part they fold far too easily under the "right" dialogue choices which reek of a writer who either got bullied too much or not enough, inhabiting a character somehow getting to the heart of deeply personal matters with rather trite observations. Not that they're the wrong observations to be making, but it lacks finesse. The gameplay is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is genuinely interesting in design just based on the mechanics of relationships and the multiple character paths for almost every person you interact with. However, the game itself (being a repairman) is honestly laughable. It feels incredibly repetitive and like it was made in just a few days? Also the drawing feature is a joke that makes me feel like I'm in 3rd grade again drawing a picture for mommy. This feels like a story that was generated in a week. Characters feel like…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Easy recommendation. I went in on the promise of some repair shop stuff in a cyberpunk setting and I just ended up digging everything about this game. I especially like that there's instrumental options for songs.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dynopunk is an E-book with a bunch of Car-Mechanic-Simulator-Lite (except this costs more than professionally developer car mechanic sims!) repair minigames stapled on... just enough that this doesn't qualify 100% as E-book garbage in the wrong place. This is a Scaley (like Furries but people who really really like lizards, like really like them) friendly "game" where you read an E-book about lizards and then occasionally do little minigames as you pretend to repair electronics, but this is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a lot of fun with this game, and I felt the choices that I made had meaningful impacts on the characters. The characters have interesting personalities, and I found myself getting quite invested in them as I talked with them more. This looks like a game I could have played in the 90's. I haven't had this much fun with this type of game since Birb Cafe. The game really has the 80's pop culture aesthetics, and has excellent pixel graphics. The music is superb, and really sounds like it…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really want to recommend this game. But the game doesn't seem to want to save after a crash 6 hours in. It seems to autosave with an icon in the top left every now and again but it never did, so I was getting close to the end (I think) but lost all my progress just before then. I really love this game, it made me smile and laugh, the art, music and characters are great; despite the technical issues. The chip laser graphs seem to be misalligned with the end result, with the bottom half…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not really into visual novels but this one piqued my curiosity due to its theme, a sentient dinosaur working at a repair shops? So cool! But Dynopunk it's so much more than a quirky idea, the gameplay may be simple but the great cast of interesting and varied characters, many choices leading to branching narratives, nice pixel art and awesome soundtrack made it a pleasure to go through. Not gonna lie I was kinda sad when the story ended and I had to say goodbye to characters I genuinely…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How have I never heard of Dynopunk, a cyberpunk game about a dinosaur who repairs electronics while he's building a time machine to help him find his perfect romantic partner? I seriously need to check this one out!
neutral · AI labelView post →Fantastic soundtrack (Josh Lim does it again) with an amazing story and simple yet fun gameplay. The setting is also strange and fun, with the branching story lines feeling impactful and worthwhile. 'Tomato Fantasy games' has created one of my new favourite games and can't wait to see what they do next. I would recommend!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short review: 9/10. Good story as a 90% visual novel with minor gameplay elements. My only complaints come with replaying the game for different endings is somewhat slow, but it's much more manageable in this game than other visual novels. Long review: HOLY CRAP. I haven't been able to put on socks for well over a few weeks because every time i put on a pair when playing this game, the socks go flying off somewhere. The characters are all relatable and well written. The story has many…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my favourite game of all time, a simple review can't give it justice. Many people might look at this game and think "ew furry!" or "visual novels suck!" but it is so much more than that. The soundtrack is on another level (it's in my spotify playlist). The best game music I have ever heard it makes me wish that Into The Basement was a real band! The story is also great, it can be absurd at times but that's part of the fun! There is some replayability as well because there are…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Players might as well take the conversations in this game as fair-N-reasonable replacements for genuine heart-to-heart conversations between friends in real life.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is really really fun, story is honestly very entertaining and interesting and the characters are lovely. While short the game has a lot of different paths for the story so replay value is a plus mark for it along with other features that allow to revisit certain events if playing thru all of it again isn't something that interests you. One think I should mention tho and it's literally one thing which came up at the very end of the game, the name of the unlockable silly mode and how…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Set in a city of dinos but the story is about humans. 50% of the gameplay is visual novel about getting to know new dino customers in the repairing store, buying parts for the time machine so you could get back in time to correct the wrong. The other 50% is repairing stuff from phones to rocket launchers, it doesn't matter how good or bad you do as the game is generous with money rewards. I don't find the story charming but okay keep me continue and watch 3 endings - The stories are foreseeable…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a furry so I was immediately hooked into the demo for this game, where I have more game hours on. I just got to Day 7 in the game during the Science Fair. I love all the characters, esp that hot dino chick with her broken nic vape from Day 5. I assume choices in the game you make do actually matter because of the mood meter. From how long I've played, it seems that the current mood of the character carries on into the following days. Very, very immersive for a visual novel. I like that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I first bought the game I didn't think much of it, but until of recent events I decided to try it and oh boy, I am so happy I played this amazing game with such an in depth story on each character, learning of their past and struggles really makes you feel relatable in some ways. I don't usually write reviews on games but this one earned my first review. Keep on with the good work and I hope the developers make more games like this, stay awesome everyone!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't use the arrow keys to choose dialog options. Sometimes I can't press space after selecting dialog without clicking on the game again. The repairing part is a joke. I don't expect micro-soldering level repairs here, but this is just kid's mini-games. Why bother rating at the end of the cutting if it is only based on the perfect cutting percentage? The remover can remove water. That is convenient, sounds like someone is too lazy to code in a dryer. Why have a whole glue tube if I can…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very Wholesome even if it has some issues with the writing, story and gameplay. Giving it a Thumbs Up since the Dyno Art is really well made and I like the emotion system that they made. Songs were also pretty good.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short version: Excellent writing, great characters, multiple stories and paths. I just wish there was something to show more of what happens after the end. Long version: One of the few games I've every played where I've been genuinely attached to the characters, and one of exceptionally rare cases where it's made me cry. Yeah, a friggin' pixel story about anthropomorphic dinosaurs made me cry. It's lovingly well written, not just in the multiple-path branching story and multiple endings, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GG! Overall is a good game, but there are something could be improved. For example, the done button could be activated by pressing the keyboard. And there's even a bug in the basement chapter that keeps the changed emotion even if you reload the save(This is the only reason that I couldn't save someone).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heartwarming game, with very interesting characters each having their own issues and accurate depiction of trauma, especially the part where the thoughts were intruding. Very chilling. You play as Chris, one of the last T-Rexes who moved into a huge city in order to persue his dream of opening a tech-repair shop. In the shop he finds a blueprint of a time machine and joins a forum with other 'time travellers and gets to see which parts are for auction each day. As the game progress Chris…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels mostly very genuine and, overall, the writing made all the relationships feel meaningful. Each character had different life issues to tackle that felt relatable in some way. I just really enjoyed this kind of story telling this time around. Not jaw dropping perfection, but cozy and real. Game play was cool; the apartment and phone usage sections kept me hooked between bouts of dialogue. It seems like a really well thought out visual novel / game. Looking forward to any new…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adore the music of this game, I could see myself downloading the soundtrack and listen to it when I'm doing other things. The mini-games are super fun, but this game is more like a Visual Novel. Not to say it's a bad VN or anything, the characters are fun and I can relate to some of them. You're not only building parts, You're building relationships. I like it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great blend of visual novel and choice-driven gameplay. It's sometimes hard to pin down how to get a character to respond in the way you want, but resist the urge to go back and "fix it." Going back and fixing the mistake you made when talking to that character would actually be kinda meta, but it's more rewarding to get your true ending based on your choices.

positive · AI labelView post →Let me preface this by saying that I am right off the heels of Snoot Game and I Wani Hug That Gator!. Both of those dino-based visual novels introduced me to the visual novel genre of game, and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction. That being said, the desire for more dino-based visual novels heavily lingered after I had finished those two stories. Dynopunk absolutely delivers in bringing another beautiful story to the genre. It's a shame this game is a very hidden gem; it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid VN with a simplistic but pleasant plot and excellent art direction and music. B
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm kinda hesitant to not recommend this game, because at it's core it isn't a bad game, it mixes the visual novel and puzzle game styles in a unique way and has some real interesting characters. The only problem is that it drags on way too long. The story takes forever to actually progress, the characters take a lot of time to actually influence and basically refuse to listen to you half the time, and getting the answers wrong is both too easy and too punishing, which only makes it take even…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't usually engage with these types of games but the aesthetic drew me in, I was taken aback by how engaging and enjoyable the storytelling and characters were, the game provides reasonably challenging interactions and thought provoking conversations. I would suggest this game to any of my friends!
