What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 34 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mostly Positive (132 of 166 positive).
Players find Fish Stick Protocol a fun, chaotic co-op game with silly physics and unpredictable moments. [1][2][3] Many compare it to Lethal Company but note it is less scary and more chill. [4][5][6] Some reviewers report bugs and a lack of content in early access. [7][8][9]

Being held in place by a vine I cant see for 10 seconds is hands down the least fun mechanic in a video game. Getting launched once or twice is funny, but getting chain launched for 30 seconds with no way to escape is actually really boring

I got stung by bees, eaten by a giant mosquito, yeeted by a geyser, landed next to a tree made of TNT and blown back to the portal.. lost my leg and collected and old toaster in the process. 10/10 would play again, and love that this supports 8 player co-op unlike many current friend-group games that are capped at 4.

It's cool to see a game in the style of Lethal Company without the horror or jump scares. The experience is chill and really fun in multiplayer. There are already lots of cool little things to unlock in the HUB, even though it's an early access. Great job guys!

Great game! Worth the price. Seems similar to other "Item collection" games, but the Museum facet is a great addition. Rather than just "go collect, run away from enemies, get home, destroy items, rinse & repeat", now you have to also decide between "destroy them for currency" vs "Keep them to increase reputation in the museum"...

Very fun game! Honestly has a lot to work for and towards in home base. Only complaint i have is the lack of variation in the dimensions. Although they do change both in theme, color, enemies, and where/what artifacts spawn, its mostly the same dimension once you run through it over and over again. 8/10 lethal like

45 of 45 · most liked firstApart from the game being a bit "weird" buggy, it's clearly more than playable and fun, especially with friends! It's also early access and the devs seem to care a lot about it, so I am positive they are going to push this game to its maximum potential. It has the indie charm to it, which might not be for everyone, but personally I appreciate it a lot. Pros: - Fun with friends - Low price - Devs who care - Nice customization (they'll probably add more in the future) - Up to 8 players! - The…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fish Stick Protocol, developed and published by Maracas Studio, is a chaotic cooperative experience that thrives on unpredictability and laughter. Set within a surreal, ever-shifting world of strange anomalies and bizarre artifacts, the game embraces absurdity as its core design philosophy. It invites players to work together in groups of up to eight, diving into procedurally generated dimensions where the rules of reality are constantly in flux. Every mission is a test of teamwork and…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay * You play as a some-kind of frozen cloned character in a hazard suit(Super Earth Connection???) with good solo and 8 player cooperative game play, * unpredictable procedural environments loop the game making each run fun * Environmental objects and enemies can debuff and buff character for example I got stung by bees in the game and it made by character actually inflate and float into the sky then there are this plants which can burn you but gives you speed boost or inflate you.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fish Stick Protocol wow, I have only sent with my duo, and we've opened a few doors has been hilariously chaotic my luck, roll of rng and traps is rather funny to see and then to be lauched to the moon and back, or to see your friend flying, burning or being eaten yeah, would 110% recommend you to send, get a team, ♥♥♥♥ get 2 cause this has UPTO 8 I cant wait to get enough friends to play it maxed, that and complete building my manor I'll come back to edit this as I 100% the game, and add…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm gonna be joining the homie @zeroherovt.bsky.social and a few others to play the upcoming game Fish Stick Protocol. It's REPO-esque in it's gameplay, but from a different perspective. Honestly, it just looks like silly fun. Start time is a little later at 10pm EST www.twitch.tv/jar_of_salty...
positive · AI labelView post →www.gamestic.be/2025/07/30/f... Fish Stick Protocol has entered open beta on Steam! From Aug 14–25, you can join the co-op chaos. No horror, just weird dimension-hopping missions, physics-driven teamwork, and fun for 1–8 players. #FishStickProtocol #MaracasStudio #gamestic #gamesticBe

neutral · AI labelView post →So I played the demo of this months before release and honestly thought good, there's an idea here with a good intentions, just needs some polish and a lot more content. The game released into early access and sadly there's really only been some polish added with extremely minimal new content. So far after the game has gone into early access we've seen 2 "major" updates. Which in my opinion didn't seem that major by todays standards of major updates personally. A couple new enemies, one biome,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would rank this game an 7/10. The game itself is good, but it has a lot of grinding. It would be nice if there was something new. (Devs, please look!) As well as I am stuck on the Retreat Room. We have many points, more than needed to open the room, but the room will not open. We have tried restarting the PC, opening and closing the name, and nothing is working. It is very frustrating and making the game less fun to play because we can't get past and move forward from this problem.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The boys and I discovered a new co-op game yesterday - Fish Stick Protocol, kind of like a kid-friendly Lethal Company And they were so eager to play it before school today that they 100% got themselves ready before I came downstairs so that we would have time to play lol #FishStickProtocol
positive · AI labelView post →I've played a lot of goofy co-op games and this is definitely a fun one. Can't beat the price for a good time and laughs with friends!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hello everyone! Gonna play some [Fish Stick Protocol] w/ Kit and Melon around 8PM EST. Didn't know about this game until today, but should be a fun time! Hope to see y'all there! www.twitch.tv/the_1dealist
positive · AI labelView post →Cute litlle game in LethalCompany/Repo item extraction style. Very easy (I can see why it's not performing well :( ) thus is suited to chill evenings for casual gamers, or to play with second-half ;) Can't wait to see more enemies/locations/items in the future! p.s. proxy chat is hilarious here
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very light and cute scrap-sale game, not scary, but funny. Perfect for chill play with friends on easy dimensions. Difficult dimensions are sure to get you into some trouble, but it's worth it. I hope for more traps and enemies in future updates. Want some more.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →is the game bugged why is there no menu no device nothing with a ui to invite friends without doing it through steam

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For an early access release, you can already have a great time chilling out with friends! Looking forward to seeing what happens next
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun and silly, polished for how inexpensive this game is. My friends and I had a lot of fun playing. I think it could benefit from more time constraints, BUT it is definitely more relaxed than games like lethal company, and some players might prefer that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a lot of fun playing this with my friends. This game has a lot of potential to create goofy moments.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Every run feel fresh, weird dimensions, goofy physics and surprise encounters that keeps the laughs coming. The core loop is already a blast, can't wait to see where it goes next!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A multiplayer coop game with fun / silly traps and effects on your character. This is the kind of experience where I get quickly frustrated, but the absence of perma-death (you won't have to restart from scratch because you missed a quota) makes it more chill and actually enjoyable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was genuinely surprised by the quality of the content, especially considering it's still in early access. I started playing solo just to get a feel for how everything works before inviting my friends to join, and before I knew it, hours had flown by. I completely lost track of time. All I wanted was to gather a massive pile of items and sit on top of it.
