Godlike Burger
Developer Liquid Pug
In Godlike Burger you run the craziest restaurant of the galaxy! Stun, poison and kill customers in many devious ways… and turn them into burger meat! And don’t worry: Alien customers will keep coming if you are smart about it, because cannibalism is just too damn tasty. From the Steam store page

Players praise the unique cannibal cooking concept and addictive gameplay loop. [1][2][3] Many complain about poor keyboard controls and recommend using a controller or Steam Deck. [4][5][6] Some find the game too fast-paced and overwhelming, with difficulty spikes. [7][8][9]

Far too much going on. The premise is to fill burger orders. You're asked to cook the meat, add the condiments, kill a few customers, kick machines that constantly break, and kick away aliens that steal your food every 5 seconds. The tutorial was fun, after that...not so much

Actually a fun game, but the pacing is WAY too fast. Often you'll be overwhelmed whether you want to cook for the customer, kill customers, or drive away the protester/alien thief thing. Everything is in a constant motion, all happens at once, no break in between. You want to serve two customers? too bad, there are protester driving away your customer. You want to kill a customer in the backyard? too bad, the alien …

Nearly didn't buy this game because of some of the bad reviews. Decided I could refund it if I didn't like it and gave it a shot. I will say, I had to restart the tutorial because I encountered a bug that didn't let me continue and I got very close to uninstalling but I persevered and I love this game. On the surface it's just a restaurant game and you use money from the orders to upgrade your stoves etc but it's …

It's a fun, unique little game. Cooking on its own doesn't seem that interesting, but cooking and cannibalism? That got my attention. The cartoony graphics and dark premise make for an atmosphere that's both cynical and silly, and the developers play into this with the in-game news articles and descriptions of planets and aliens. The main gameplay is reasonably straightforward with the main challenge being to keep …

Easy to learn, hard to master, super addictive. Graphics give big, bright borderlands vibes, movement is smoooooth. If you've ever played games like overcooked but didn't like the fact it's lowkey impossible to play solo, this is like good answer to that. With way more extra stuff like traps, upgrades, challenges, managing profit and good reviews vs murder for more body part ingredients, and note taking (helps to …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was looking for a challenging time management game, and it certainly is that, but the challenge doesn't come from strong and fun game design- it comes from overwhelming the player and a lack of balance. I'm good at time management games but this just feels poorly made. It has decent visuals, but the UX is horrific (good luck figuring out what ingredients customers have requested for the burgers, because the ingredient icons in the fridge vs. the requests don't match). It has these comic book…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Almost tasty burger A recommendation with some serious caveats. So the concept is great and it makes for very interesting gameplay. You can't play it like a normal cooking simulator because happy customers means getting more customers, which makes it harder to kill customers, which is required to feed customers. Also, you shouldn't pay your bills, because not paying bills brings debt collectors, which you can chop into free mince. It's a fine balance between cooking and killing, and once the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun until there are too many things happening. Too many crises to fix at one time takes away from the fun. If it was just make food, kick the fridge every now and then, and murder customers that would work. Maybe one crisis at a time, but it's all too much as it is. Sorry.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this game has promise but holy cow do they just throw you into the deep end! It'd be nice if the information was delivered gradually allowing time to learn the basics before ramping up.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it for free on Epic about a year ago. Bought it on Steam, on sale. Controls sucked on mouse and keys then, they still do now. On Steam Deck, it works flawlessly. I bet with a controller, it would work great too. Runs like butter on deck, capped to 40fps for power consumption. Fun, repetitive. I can tell it's going to plateau around 10 hours, not much replay-ability. Bought it on sale, no regrets for under $5. I wouldn't spend full price personally, as there isn't any specific story…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really wanted to like this, but I had to refund. The controls are awful, you should be able to use a mouse. Also there is no checkpoints, if you die, you start over. I accidentally pressed the wrong key, angered a cop and it was game over. I suppose you can bank money, but starting over is too much of a hassle.

neutral · AI labelView post →Really, this is an awesome game. I think it's a great take on the time/resource management genre. The controls felt a tad clunky to me at first because WHY CAN'T YOU USE YOUR MOUSE. Design choice I guess. I ended up just changing like 10 different controls and now its great, but it would still be MUCH better if I could use my mouse. Like why did you do that to me?

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stay on planet 1 or 2. Level all your stuff before doing anything else, otherwise you'll have a bad time. Not a fan of the roguelike element tbh but it is pretty fun when you have enough traps to counter any problems.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game concept. But controls are not as I'd like. You can customize some, but not all, the controls. Play with a controller. Keyboard is awful.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cannot express with words how much of a bad tutorial and first day that was. 1/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is really fun and good i hope you guys add multiplayer to make it even more fun and chaotic
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has a really fun premise, but the game's a chore. There's way too much going on, way too many things just dumped on you from the beginning and altogether it is not very intuitive.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cooking Cannibalism | KAMGUSTA's MINI REVIEW It's a fast food cooking simulator, like Overcooked and Plate Up, but with a twist: you have to kill customers and use their meat to make hamburgers. While your machines are constantly breaking. If the cited games also bring in a much needed multiplayer support, here the experience is only solo. The result is a boring, tedious, confusing and clumsy game - no wonder they throw it away in bundles. Best played with joypad Recommended buy price: 3$…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my new addiction - cooking for aliens, then cooking those aliens up for other aliens... The "rogue-lite" elements - where I can upgrade my stuff so that when I die I restart with better equipment, traps, etc - is keeping me hooked. Also the graphics are cute and the music is catchy. Nice work on this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do think the game is fun, but if you are able to play with controller I highly recommend it. The controls are not fun on keyboard (you can't use your mouse). I do wish there were more differences on the other worlds you can go to, but overall I enjoy the game.

neutral · AI labelView post →I'm used to cooking games where the difficulty amps up gradually and you master time management, orders and cooking over time. But in this game, right after the tutorial (which is a big text dump) you're thrown into the most overwhelming experience imaginable. There's way too many things to keep track of. Between following everyone's orders (which is instantly at 10-12 on day 2), cooking, checking customers' preferences and habits, making sure they're not causing a mess, murdering them for…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The premise is fun, but the game itself is quite confusing. The tutorial gives you A LOT of information and at the same time not enough information and I was left not really knowing what should I do when I started the first run. Also I felt cooking was quite tedious, as it's not really clear what the ingredients are and what the recipe needs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the way how blocking works here is absolutely disgusting and destroying experience. visitors that trying to leave your cafe can just block you in the doors while there are police raid chasing you from the other sides, and, unfortunately, you can do nothing to that. frustrating. overall, game is still extremely fun, but blocking issue should be fixed
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Please tell me there are plans to make a sequel <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish there was a middle grade. The core gameplay loop is excellent in this game. The cooking sim portion is slow paced enough that if you manage your timings there's plenty of time to explore the space & do other things. The cannibal aspect gives you a huge incentive to step away from the cookers, both to get more resources and to minimize your prestige gain. More prestige means more customers, which also means more suspicion & a much more dangerous working environment. Meat on the counter…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Though i like the idea, the execution leaves a lot of painpoints.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The tutorial was rage inducing. It forces you to stop every 30 seconds, at most, to tell you to do something else, and there is too much going on. I did not have any fun at all. I feel like I wasted my time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the concept, but there's way too many things going on in just the tutorial that makes it way too complicated, to the point I didn't even finish it because I lost all desire to play once I saw how complicated it was.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For people who are stuck on the first planet: the first few days will be kind of chaotic and you will die often as you learn the mechanics. You can actually side step the dying part by pausing the game and alt+f4'ing just as you are about to die. This way you will hold on to your ingredients and you do not have to start over all the way. Put your money in the safe (if you keep dying or do not use the altf4 technique) after having paid your bills and paid for supplies. If you end up getting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too complicated, too many things going on. It doesn’t explain why you’d want to kill the aliens after feeding them. Tutorial is also long and complex, takes 20 minutes to complete. Was failing my first day, 5 minutes into the first day. Was not having fun, I don’t understand how we’re supposed to cook, fix the appliances, kill customers, and clean up the corpse altogether. I love diner dash, overcooked, those type of games. But this was too much
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too much going on. I spent longer on the tutorial rather than the game lol
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm enjoying the gameplay so far. The resource management is quite unique. The meat is indeed questionable. As you get more upgrades, the game becomes more manageable and fun.

positive · AI labelView post →It’s good but if this game can play co op or 2 players it’ll be so much fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The idea of running a secret alien burger joint where you murder customers for ingredients sounds amazing on paper. Sadly, the actual loop gets super repetitive and stressful real fast. It is totally fine for a quick sale pickup, but you will probably drop it after a few hours.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →store.steampowered.com/app/1432910/... And also Godlike Burger. Basically a restraunt management game but you use your customers as ingredients and you resupply by butchering them when they least expect it.
neutral · AI labelView post →Needs more balanced gameplay as it is right now you basically grind the first planet until you have enough upgrades, seems to have a few bugs as well as the tutorial for me would not let me put a burger as order up worked fine after turning tutorial off is a right pain is no auto heal for each day the game is just to much of a grind.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The poor review score is absolutely misleading, this is a really unique cooking game with an addicting gameplay loop. It feels overwhelming at first, but you get the hang of it little by little and learn that things aren't necessarily as hard to manage as they look. I made some unfortunate choices in my playthrough that made the game feel unnecessarily grindy and boring, so I would advise to not stay too long on one planet and to pay attention to the requirements needed to advance (and reset…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →40 hours of grind. I literally made a program to backup my saves One of the planets is just unavailable if you have more than a couple traps
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some of the negative reviews are due to a bug in the tutorial where the ingredients you need to use aren't shown. That bug has never happened for me outside of the tutorial. The game is a rouguelike and is a bit of a grind at first, but once you get some upgrades it's not that hard to manage all your tasks and stay alive for longer and longer each run.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This honestly feels like it was made for and designed around 4 player coop, and then they couldn't work out how to implement it. Way too much stuff going on, everything constantly breaking and needing fixing, a ton of mechanics but no time to really process or engage with them. Add to this a really out of place rogue-like system where your save effectively gets wiped if you die (and you can easily die) and it's just really not very fun to play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Godlike Burger manages to take the stress fest that is the restaurant sim and makes it even busier and more unpleasant than usual. This is not a game I would have purchased under circumstance myself, I merely got in the December 2025 Humble Choice package, and here's why I don't think even fans of restaurant management sims will like this one. As is par for course with this genre, you have to manage the restaurant: making the orders before the customers get mad and leave, ensuring that you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →controls feel incredibly weird and unplayable on keyboard. but if you have a gamepad its a pretty fun game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes I would recommend this game. Its build well, there's cooking elements that are amazing, rogue like element is unique and very different from all the other sims out there. It's been a fun a few hours. Game is hard and challenging with a good learning curve but also casual if you want it to be. Very interesting gameplay and interesting design and very fun game play loop.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think the game is fun minus a few annoying mechanics. But now I don't want to play the game anymore because it resets your progress. I clicked a new game by mistake and lost all the upgrades that took a few days to get. I don't like games that reset all your progress like that. I didn't even get past the first planet.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Godlike Burger is a deliciously entertaining game that serves up a unique blend of cooking, strategy, and a dash of dark humor! The gameplay is both engaging and addictive. As you craft mouth-watering burgers for your alien customers, the challenge of managing resources and timing keeps you on your toes. One of the highlights is the game’s humorous twist on traditional restaurant management—let’s just say the “secret ingredient” adds an unexpected layer of fun! The characters are quirky and…
