Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 197 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (6,941 of 7,487 positive).
Many players find Let's School addictive and fun, praising its building and management depth. [1][2][3] Several reviewers note the game is no longer updated, which affects their recommendation. [4][5][6] Some players criticize the UI as clunky and the gameplay as repetitive over time. [7][8][9]

Devs have apparently had a pattern of never finishing games. This one is no different. Abandoned and left to rot. Don't buy.

This game is genuinely so fun and addicting. This has insane replay value and I 100% recommend! Coming from a girl with a billion games in her steam library.

Not worth the full price, it's unfinished and the devs pretty much confirmed they're not going to update it anymore. It's playable but gets repetitive soon. Buy it when it's discounted and you'll have fun. I'd say it's a hesitant yes and if there was a neutral option, I'd choose that

Pros: + freedom of building + very fun early game + different win criteria Cons: - more like a business sim than school management - repetitive gameplay loop fails to entertain after a while - clunky UI - devs abandoned the game (no more patches, QoL, bugfixes)

After 80+ hours in Let’s School, I can confidently say this game made me fall in love with the management genre all over again. It’s a pixel-style school tycoon that perfectly blends creativity and strategy. If you enjoy The Sims + management gameplay, this is absolutely for you. You’re not just placing rooms - you’re shaping an entire campus culture. From designing classrooms and facilities to managing teachers, …

Players who liked Let's School talk about addictive and fun management gameplay; those who didn't talk about uI is complicated and clunky. Which matters more to you?
Critics, per Wikipedia
According to Metacritic, Let's School received "mixed or average" reviews. Stephanie Liu from Siliconera wrote that "while Let's School is a lot of fun and has a lot of cute ideas, its implementation can sometimes be rough", and added that its "charm doesn't last long before it becomes a monotonous routine". Jade Sayers from Push Square felt that the game "misses out on any humanity by treating the school purely as a business", turning an otherwise enjoyable game into "another cog in the machine, taking away any individuality and losing the benefit of having the setting in a school environment by treating school life as purely transactional". Trent Cannon from Nintendo Life described the…

Proof: [url=store.steampowered.com] https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3737319777 Change this I've already expressed my concern but in short they can't even afford to spare someone with the authority and less than 1 minute to at least state it uses generative AI in their About This Game section. I am very disappointed in Pathea and cannot trust that their future…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun chill game, I've really enjoyed it. But I can't in good faith recommend it to others due to it's major draw back accessibility. if you can't read fast there's no notification wall so you can go back and look. If you have trouble hearing you'll miss events while your working in the menus, i also don't like that you aren't able to edit the schedule at all, it dosen't track with the story line of it starting out as a tutoring program. The math isn't mathing.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I find the UI is to complicated, which killed the fun for me instandly. I really love the artstyle, the idea, and generaly the love that seems to have been put into this game. This game makes me think: School could be fun, my school just really sucks at it. This is not a game for me, but i recommend giving it a try. :)

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of fun stuff in this game. Too bad it's overshadowed by all the cr*p. Good things: Great concept. Setting up the whole infrastructure (classrooms, restrooms, cafeteria, etc.) can be loads of fun. Ability to give teachers and students unique names. Field trips. Dealing with changing seasons. Ability to do limited musical composition in the music club. Bad things: Lack of information on how things work. I found out about most stuff by trial and error.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very good, relaxing game to play after a hard day at work at the factory. (It's also worth mentioning that this game is no longer being updated, so don't expect new content.)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let’s School is basically what happens when you think running a school is easy… and then reality drop-kicks you. The game looks cute, but don’t be fooled—your students will test your patience, your teachers will beg for training, and your campus will constantly demand upgrades like it’s never enough. Still, it’s ridiculously fun. Building classrooms, decorating the campus, and watching your little troublemakers grow is surprisingly satisfying. Every student has their own personality,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best simulation games out there. The money management feels rewarding and well-balanced, and simply watching students and teachers interact makes the game world feel lively and engaging. There’s always plenty to do, which keeps the experience fun and addictive from start to finish.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is good, whatever good things people say about this game, it's true. I want to give this a thumbs up, i really do, but then i learned that the devs abandoned this game and stated it officially, while there's still bugs and many room for QoL improvement, so, no more bug fixes, no more QoL update. you will play the game as it is, and no, the workshop doesn't help with the bug fix and QoL mod at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's little jank, but it still fun and relaxing game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried the Demo version first and I liked it, so when they released the game ofc I had to buy it. And nothing was below my expectation, but nothing beyond either. I really enjoyed the game, no stress, more like a sandbox where you have to build a strong foundation so later in the game you can just AFK. It's really unfortunate that the devs abandoned this game since there's still so many potential to this game, however, you can also called it a fully developed game. There's no 'to be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sorry but I cannot recommend this. I'd love if there was a really nice school/university simulator out there, and this does show promise, but it falls short in multiple areas. And unfortunately the devs have abandonned this, so no hopes of it improving. I could mention a few bad things, but mostly the UI is not well-designed and is a mess, the pixel-art graphic (until it's not) feels very weird and offputting, the tutorial is lacking, and finally the sandbox lacks options (e.g. you can't play…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfinished and abandoned.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Building your own school sounds like a common enough concept but it's surprising that for three years already there's still nothing else in the market that goes into as much detail as Let's School. No, 2P Campus is just a reskin of 2P Hospital. Anyway into the game. It's structured in one year terms divided into four seasons. Each seasons is seven days which is frankly way too short at the beginning - it does make things quick in lategame when you have dozen of class 2-Xs (my highschool…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a stream of tedious non decisions with no urgency behind it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is what I can only describe as the most complete, incomplete game I have played in a while. Let's school is a sandbox tycoon simulator wherein you build a school, its facilities and run courses to help students graduate to their desired aspiration, which is a spot in higher education. TL:DR, I think this game is great, even if it likely will never be finished, it is in a good place as is and if you enjoy building nice looking things, you'll like this one. The negatives When…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, able to extort children to pay higher. Government no longer has an state budget for education. It will be perfect if it has MBG. SAYA AKAN LAWAN!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As an Afficionado for this kind of game, i can say Let's School is worthy of buying, BUT only in special offers, since the devs are not working on it anymore. I had loads of fun in my first playthrough and the following ones, but with almost 100 hours on it, i can pin point now what is really annoying. First, you can`t lock a classroom for a specific grade. I personally like to make a 3 floors building with each floor for their respective grade, but here is automatically impossible, since…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to love it, but in its current state, it's just too hard to understand what's going on. The game gives you a very nice opening tutorial... and then just kind of dumps a bunch more stuff on you without explaining it properly. There are lots of tiny pixel symbols that I have no idea what they represent. I don't know how to raise my student's club level, or how to schedule activities for them. I don't understand what class tokens are or how they work. Some students seem intent on failing no…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeahhhhh, this game is a MESS and having such high reviews is one of the most confusing things I've ever seen, I honestly about had an existential crisis over here thinking I must be slow or brain damaged or something, especially seeing how insanely high the reviews are. The game started off fine and I was excited to dig in and build the ultimate school. It was surprisingly deep and feature rich and I was like man I wish I would have started playing this sooner this looks amazing! Then I hit…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm addicted to this- the game play kinda tricky but tutorial and guide was very helpful, I love this game, I love the money that flows into my headmaster's pocket and all the nice things. The stress is real too, it's like Im a real headmaster and managing school wasn't easy. My former teachers and headmaster will have my respect for this but I will never aopolgize for all the things I did when I was a student :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was never really anticipating on spending more than an hour on this game after playing the demo, but here I am with 5 hours more spent on this game, and many hours more in the future. The game gets REALLY addicting once you get the hang of everything
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So sad, this game could be really nice. It feels like a neat managemen simulation of a school. There is a big level of complexity, construction and management. However, the UI/UX is abyssimal. Most of the time you have no idea what influences what. Aside from that there are some terrible design choices. E.g. why is a class always linked to a room? I for one build in advance so I create a new classroom for the upcoming school year. However, that creates a new class that is shown as error (since…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun SIM game that went the route of releasing on different consoles before finishing. Did have fun with it, but development has stopped, sadly. Had fun, but two dreadful things have seemed to happen: - The lead artist had RL medical issues and was unable to continue. - Management focused on releasing an unfinished game on multiple consoles. Artist leaving: I hope they are well and its really unfortunate to hear. I love the artstyle in game. Maybe in the future they'll be able to return.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a lot of potential But the game's unfinished
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let's school is, in my humble opinion, the best game I've found in its niche of being a school tycoon/management game. Having tried Academia, that game feels unfinished as the game goes on. School Tycoon is eons old at this point, and Two Point Campus is, frankly, shallow. Does that mean this game doesn't have its issues? Of course not, and I could list some of them here: The English translation of the game is quite poor at times or unidiomatic. The game does not really explain a lot of its…

neutral · AI labelView post →I have achieved one of the "Victory" states and worked my way through the others. Let's get a few things out of the way, the underlying design of the game is solid and the various systems interact reasonably well whether it is classroom design, equipment upgrades, training, support rooms and so on. Pathea (developer) have built the foundations of something quite good here. Throughout my time the game has been stable without any crashes. Where it all falls apart is in UI and polish. Things…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun management sim where you take on the role of a headmaster of a school. I had a lot of fun building the school up and choosing what students to admit. I appreciated the Multiple win conditions as well as the twitch integration, it made things wonderfully chaotic without ever getting too frustrating.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too shallow, limited, and not a very rewarding loop. Lots of busy work. If you're really into role-playing a head of a school you want the calm, steady experience of a mobile game you may like it. If you're looking for an engaging tychoon game, this is not it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so addicting, i've been eyeing buying it for a long time, and finally decided to do it! Some parts of the game are a little confusing and overwhelming, but I'm still enjoying it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The UI is not very intuitive, and the tutorial doesn't do a very good job of explaining things. After trying three times (twice in career, once in sandbox) the gameplay feels sluggish and repetitive. Maybe after you get past the first 2-3 weeks of classes it improves, but overall it just wasn't fun. Wish I hadn't played for more than two hours since my refund request was rejected based on playtime. Oh well, at least it was on sale so it wasn't a total waste of money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Get's old fast and you realize it's because it's unfinished
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game I enjoy it quite a lot since its a mixture of building / strategy and making my students "better" which tickles my brain just right. HOWEVER the amount of bugs in this game since I've recently come back to play is ridiculous and particularly annoying and when I look the bugs up the devs are "working on it" one particular bug that I hate and that has caused this review is "No seating available" this bug is so annoying because it plummets student happiness and the only real fix is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An addicting simulator game. It can take some time to learn the right way to do things, but once you get rolling in it it's very satisfying to see your school grow. My advice: let your first attempt or two of it be test runs, be okay with possibly failing, and learn lessons from the experience. I'm currently running a huge school with three campuses, like 12 courses, nearly 500 students. I've run all but one other school in the region out of business by being too good at running a school,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good management game that let's you control a lot of details without being overwhelming. You can control each classes' hourly schedule and which students are in which classes. You can control what classes each teacher teaches and how much management they take on. You'll also get to "choose" to make every single student utterly obese for awhile. THIS IS WHAT YOU CHOOSE. it's for the good of the school that you fatten the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Stuff those mooncakes down their throats, they love it, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →for a game about responsible scheduling and academic success it really really really will wreck your life if you click with it (I did.) The fact that it's actually pretty difficult (even on Normal mode) and you actually have to put real, hard thought into optimizing everything (building the school, figuring out the management tree, working on how to use your schedule/classes, etc.) makes it REALLY feel good when everything all connects together and works just right.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even with the partially broken English UI, the game is fun to play. You just keep expanding and upgrading your school and also collect cats for some reason.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite the devs having ceased all work on this game, it still remains very cozy and fun as the day I first bought it. I love the community and work shop mods as they help keep the game fresh while still remaining faithful to the designs. 10/10 experience!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the game I have been dreaming of. Something in-depth, quirky, managerial, customizable, intuitive. Honestly, the only thing holding this back from being as worldwide popular as the Sims/My Sims or Rollercoaster Tycoon is the original marketing and bias against non-English games. I felt the same bias when I wanted to explore the workshop but most the items were in Chinese. But that should not stop ANYONE from getting this game. I genuinely love every bit of this from the mix-maxing, to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do I enjoy it? Yes Would I recommend it? Yes Does it have issues that could and should have been fixed? Yes Superb game, lots and lots of depth to this game and I've spent a few fun days with it, but it has some really stupid issue that should have been fixed before the devs abandoned it. This game is riddle with little annoying bugs that should have been fixed. It has a lot of information screens that tell you very little and lacks information screens that you'll be wishing you had. It will…

neutral · AI labelView post →at the first time I played i thought it just simple school management. But turns out after 20 hours of playing and after all the maps revealed, it became a quite complex management (i.e. assign the class into correct management unit, assign the class based on aspiration, assign the schedule, teacher, etc). But, even with this complex management, it is really fun to play. I like all the elements inside it (teacher training, management module, inter school communnication, student competition…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let's School has you in the role of a former student turned Headmaster, building and maintaining a school inheritated from your old Headmaster. The typical gameplay loop is to manage your students and faculty to satisfy their needs, and get the kids to a knowledge level where they can pursue higher learning. The game borrows a lot of cues from the Civilization games in a fascinating way: the other schools you interact with behave like competing civs, and the student body is collected from a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, I am not enjoying this game and will not continue playing. The UI is very confusing and I dislike how gendered everything is. I should have known better based on the HP expansion pack, but there were so many good reviews and I usually enjoy this type of simulation game so I gave it a shot. Whole thing just left a bad taste in my mouth and was far too confusing to be enjoyable. Clearly this works for some people, but it didn't for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not very good as it is extremly fiddly, there is not much of a tutorial. i placed something down i clicked on that item and clicked remove, yes it removed it AND then entire school, there is no option to click on more than 1 trash item, you MUST do them single and seperatly (oh and right at the start before you literally do anything since once you place or find somethign you want to delete/remove later on it will remove everything you had done. 23mins and i uninstalled after this happened for…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best management sim you will ever play. My favorite thing is that there are different victory conditions depending on how you want to play the game. The early game is very fun. First, you build a simple wooden school with one or two classes but eventually you start offering more advanced classes that makes the school more complex. You have to shuffle around different students and different courses so that you meet exam requirements. I genuinely cannot get enough of this game; the second I…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →as much as this game can be fun at times, i just cant recommend this game for several reasons. the game is very much half baked, tons of bugs, performance issues and so on. the club system sucks, i dont care the devs added support for custom clubs, it feels more like after adding only 2 clubs devs got lazy and let modders complete the rest. not a lot of replayability, after like 3 runs youv'e seen it all. all in all the game feels abandoned. or it's once again pathea games leaving a game 75%…
