seriously wanted to like this the art style is great the humor is great but the gameplay is just awful, combat is boring and easy practically everything dies from 1 hit, platforming just feels bad climbing pipes doesnt register 99% of the time so you end up falling to your death making the light door challenges practically impossible the living grapple hook is cool but the moment you bump into something he wont …

Hell Pie is a surprisingly great 3D platformer with a completely unhinged sense of humor, tight movement and a ridiculous setting. Mechanically, the game is actually super solid. The movement feels fast and smooth, and once you get the swinging down with your chained cherub, it becomes one of the most fun traversal systems I’ve used in a platformer. Levels are big, full of secrets, and give you plenty of room to …

A big maybe for this game. It is a decent 3d platformer, but i have a lots of problem with it. First of all, the platforming. Farily early into the game, you unlock the ability to swing in the air from anywhere once. You can upgrade this also fairly early to 3 times. This makes most of the obstacle and platforming literally useless. You can just use the swings to skip 90% of the levels. From what i recall, 2 area …

It tells you right in the game's description that it's disgusting, and it is. Don't buy it then leave a bad review if you're not down with gore, bodily fluids, grotesque nudity, swearing, and drug references. Go play Mario Sunshine, Crash Bandicoot, or some other children's game. Luckily for me, all of those things are the exact reasons I bought this game and it doesn't disappoint. Hell Pie is a competent 3D platformer. The game is on the easier side as the main goal is to collect everything instead of performing pixel perfect jumps. As you unlock more abilities the game only gets easier and later on you can stay airborne for an absurdly long time. The game is divided into hub areas and sub-levels, each with their own count for the total amount of collectibles. Most things are hidden in …

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game gives corporate hell a whole new meaning. It's a fun little 3D platformer that focuses on exploration so it's pretty easy and doesn't have any annoying or stressful parts. There are a few bugs here and there but nothing gamebreaking.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →(100% Review - Steam Deck - 2026) I just did 100% in 2026, playing entirely on Steam Deck, and I have to say: this game is much better than most reviewers say. It reminds me a little of A Hat in Time, but with dark humor. Great movement, engaging worlds, and a fun sense of exploration. The game is mostly focused on collectibles, exploration, and platforming challenges. There are some bosses with a decent level of difficulty, but they're not the main focus of the game. I had fun throughout…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A weird, funny, and super gross adventure game where you play a demon collecting nasty ingredients for Satan’s birthday cake. The movement is really smooth and fun (swinging with the angel is awesome), and the levels are creative and crazy. 10/10 Stupid, nasty fun.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game really has no idea what it wants to do. You would think given the themes and presentation it would be a comedic experience, but it just doesn't have jokes. That is unless you consider walking up to someone and screaming HITLER is a joke, but it really comes off as more confusing than funny. You would think given the level design that this would be a platformer focused on jumping from point a to point b, but they seemingly accidentally designed the game for a completely different…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The good: Buttery smooth controls and movement. Running and swinging is so much fun and it doesn't take long to earn upgrades that make everything better. It's very satisfying, especially around the mid-game when you can really start to test out your moves and see far in the air you can go. Levels are big, look great and are cleverly designed so that you can try the intended route or make up your own. The soundtrack is fun and might stick around in your head for a while. I think hte designs for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm conflicted about this game. It's heavily inspired by [url=store.steampowered.com/app/253230]A Hat in Time, which is one of my favorite games, the base moveset is very similar (double jump, wall climb, dash) and the swappable horns act exactly like the hats (the first two sets even have the same exact functions). 3D collectathon platformers are also a rather rare beast, and this one comes with great production values (as opposed to all those N64/PSX inspired indie platformers), it runs on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best platformers I've personally experienced since Ratchet & Clank. If you miss the nostalgia of Conker's Bad Fur Day or Banjo-Kazooie then you'll be pleasantly surprised. Full of dark humor, and super clean controls/movement. TIP: If you need to farm gems to unlock things within the game go to Flavor Peaks, and go into the restaurant sub level exit once complete, and re-enter to reset the boxes.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's genuinely a fun 3D platformer. Gross-out and dirty humor aplenty, sure, but that's a plus in my book. I found that wall-climbing sometimes just refused to work, and the base bash ability is usually under-utilized (to the point I almost forgot about it when I had to use it outside of the tutorial).

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the comedic style is definitely not my cup of tea, feeling like some edgy teen's humor, I still loved my time playing Hell Pie, thanks to the incredible level and character design and to the main character's movement capabilities. With a completed skill tree, the possibilities are endless allowing you to reach some crazy places around the map, only to find out that surprisingly the devs had actually thought of those pots and hid something there. Loved the overall experience and would…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The way you bonk away from the edges of platforms instead of grabbing onto them feels legitimately counter-intuitive, and then add on the lack of (or very short) coyote time interacting poorly with the fact you have a pill shaped hit-box making it so you slip off the edge of the platform and waste your jump when trying to simply just get off the edge 25% of the time. Genuinely this game has a very polished look but its feel for the core platforming leaves much to be desired even for a game…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hell Pie is basically what would happen if A Hat in Time had no budget, got addicted to dark humor, and decided its entire plot should revolve around Satan's birthday cake. You play as Nate, a demon who is apparently meant to be working in Hell’s fashion department, designing outfits for the local underworld fashionistas. Instead, Satan calls him up and asks him for a cake because apparently even Hell has deadlines, managers, and coworkers who can turn you inside out for fun. The game…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A hidden gem of a platformer with a unique movement mechanic. It hooked me straight from the very first levels with its music, humor, visuals and best of all - the old movies refereneces (like The Fly and Scarface). PS: Don’t play this one with your kids.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was surprisingly really fun game. At the end, story was just prank like the whole game. some parts were tougher, lots of death, last battle was little hard and annoying. lots of ability made the gameplay enjoable. funny too. overall DARK, FUNNY & FUN. 4/5
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun platformer if you can stomach the humor. The swinging angel makes for a pretty unique gimmick working as both your combat weapon and as a movement tool. It really needs some kind of in-game collectible tracker though since the areas are pretty big and you'd have to sit through hour long videos if you tried to use a walkthrough. There's also a TON of grinding for crystals if you want to collect all the costumes and get the shortcut achievement since the large deposits don't…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ Entertaining platformer for all of Satans children to enjoy + Grotesque gags that were occasionally dark as hell + Nate and Nugget make a great couple +/- You may think it's too easy because if you're doing the side quests and collecting everything you can upgrade your swing ability to get almost anywhere. Personally, I appreciated not having to grind to get all the upgrades and liked that the developers respected my time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a great ode to the games that came before it in the platformer/collectathon genre. It is 100% more in the tone of Conkers Bad Fur Day with it's humor and theme which might not be for everyone. This humor is found throughout the game in each of the fun worlds you have to explore. As you progress you'll master the movement system which involves swinging your little friend like a hook. If you can master this system, you can avoid a lot of the challenge and platforming sections for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll shout up the game Hell Pie, which (not sure if intentionally) seems inspired by the PS2 game Whiplash. Hell Pie is much grosser and crass but they both let you swing around a smaller character on a chain and have edgy tones and humor.
neutral · AI labelView post →Hell Pie was a pleasant surprise! A platformer inspired by some of the greatest platformers of all time and conkers bad fur day, Hell Pie really surprised me! It was a fun and decently challenging game that was as vulgar as it was entertaining! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its fun and It's funny.Like mixing DK64, Spyro and Crash Candicoot. If you dislike politically incorrect stuff, steer clear. I love it :D No bugs found yet. Performance is quite good. The downside is the camera seems designed by the devil himself. I've die way too many times because the camera got stuck in an awful angle and killed depth perception. this is specially frustrating at bosses where the camera locks up in one angle, but still more in some directions

neutral · AI labelView post →This ones a really disgusting 3d platformer, but not in a bad sense. Its theme is all about doing disgusting things, experiencing crazy stuff, lots of blood, lots of waste, all that stuff. Its a colorful 3d platformer, but aimed at adults. There are no brakes, the story is to make the most disgusting pie there is, collecting ingredients for it, which range from rotten stuff, to blood and vomit to bugs. Beneath all that is a solid 3d platformer with lots of movement options and a ton to explore…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really decent game, when I first saw it I had this small vain hope that it would be a sort of successor to conkers bad fur day and it is NOT. However it is still good in it's own right, it has good controls and tight gameplay with fun and well thought out power ups. If you like 3D platformers and don't mind poop, farts and gross stuff (I love conkers bad fur day so of course) then give this a try.

positive · AI labelView post →I beat this game in about 10 and a half hours. The gameplay feels free and extremely smooth and flexible. Worlds are explored at your own pace and the difficulty is reasonable. I like the style, mimicking Nintendo 64 games (most notably Conker's Bad Fur Day). If you aren't tolerant of the gross-out/crude humor you'd probably not be interested in Hell Pie, but if you're a fan of styles in media such as Happy Tree Friends, Naughty Bear, Ren and Stimpy, there's a solid chance you'll enjoy this…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Meh game. Grappling feels fun but that's about it. Stupid humor, burp fart poop and vomit, real high brow stuff. Crappy gimmicky bosses that are just annoying, especially when they use forced perspectives that make movement annoying and wonky (oh my hit didn't register against the fly because of forced perspective? oh the fly knocked me off the platform into the acid? oh you cant get out of the acid? dead). Boring combat. No point in gathering the thousands of normal currency unless you got the…

But it also frustrated the hell out of me at times. The mechanics are fun and reminiscent of old 3D platformers I've played. Map themes sometimes left a bit to be desired. I wish the game had more worlds. Upon starting the game, I was under the impression that you would go through all the 7 sins doorways, and they would correlate to the Hellavators. Even though there's things I…

The gameplay mechanics is solid, and overall movement around the levels is really fun, but it’s a shame the game is brought down by it’s theme. I knew what I was getting into with the game’s description and content warnings. I am accustomed to dark humor and knew this game’s inspiration is Conker’s bad fur day from the n64 era. I went into this knowing there could be toilet humor/gore/innuendo, but the themes in this game was…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Playing this was a pretty alright collectathon platformer experience especially since I got it for like 5 bucks, but it honestly lacks some visceral and bizarre humor despite the very obvious Conker inspiration. Rarely having cutscenes alongside a mute mc and a huge anticlimax ending hurts the story way more than it helps. I do highly appreciate experiencing the alienation of labor through playing it though! The performance and bugs I encountered definitely dragged it down. Sometimes buttons…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: For those looking for a platformer, I would skip this. If you want to become spiderman to the point of ignoring obstacles then go ahead. Think Mario 64, but you can swing and ignore 90% of the platforming. Oh and the game is very vulgar, too, if you're not into that. I'll go with the most important part and that is that this game is, to me, not a real platformer. A 3D platformer consists of platforms, obstacles, enemies you have to manage as you're moving about. Now, they do exist but…

Developed by Sluggerfly and published by Headup, the game throws players into the shoes of George, a scrappy demon with a serious attitude problem and a hunger for revenge. From the outset, Hell Pie grabs attention by subverting traditional “hellish” tropes and instead delivering a world that’s as colorful as it is chaotic. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a lot of fun with this game and like the humor, but i'm very sure, this will offend a lot of people :D It feels like a mix of super mario and postal and I recommend this game to everyone who has dark humor and likes good jump and runs. Gameplay is very good, especially once you have the hang of the midair swings and I only encountered one bug, that could be fixed by restarting the game (movement didn't switch back from fixed camera to free camera mode).

However can't get all but one achievement in one playthrough without grinding for 10,000 of the currency at the end. There's an achievement for having all the cosmetics, and one for spending 10,000 on something, which you'll never have enough of the currency for both to occur naturally in one playthrough. I had to play the game twice for 100%.

Constant collecting, exploration, secrets, a skill tree, different locations. The amount of content is hard to even fathom, I only cleared a few areas and it's been hours. Plus I even missed most of the hidden stuff (which doesn't really help, I don't wish to revisit the levels, they're relatively big and frustrating to navigate through at times, sniffing out…

There is an emblematic aspect in this game which is the humor. Sorry, even if we live in the era of post-facts, I wouldn't be honest in saying that it's not clicking with me or simply that it's juvenile. If the "jokes" are of the caliber of "wifi cables" and NPCs saying stuff like "why does pooping feel so good", I don't think it's something that just doesn't resonate with me, but…
