What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 119 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Mostly Positive (144 of 189 positive).
Players love the cute cats, jazz music, and customization, calling it a charming party game. [1][2][3] Many reviewers note the small player base makes online multiplayer difficult to enjoy. [1][4][5]

Fun little party game with kitty meows and zoomies so instant win for me. There's a bunch of customization for the cats and I dig on the jazz themed music and stages. I often boot up various types of jazz over my morning coffee while I go through my Steam activity feed first thing in the morning so this game easily clicked with me. The only problem comes from a very small player base. It's hard to have a party game …

Cute game. Cute cats. Good customization. I love it. However, this is definitely a game you should have friends for. The game is lacking a lot of players, so finding people online is difficult. For some reason, NOBODY knows what the "friends only" selection does and will kick you from their game just for joining. Single-player doesn't have too many features other than solo trials and the tutorial. Love the game, …

This game is very adorable and pawsome!! With vibrant and catchy Jazz, detailed customisation, and even many unique party games just like Mario party! It is very underrated and even more fun and chaotic if you play it with friends!:)

Very high effort for what it provides, great music and art! Played through the solo trials and its pretty cool. Challenging at times but not really difficult. There's a few quirks here regarding some of the mechanics (primarily the throwing) but I believe they will get fixed. Not super long, but the replay-ability comes from the multiplayer aspect. This game primarily acts as a cat based party game where you run …

74% of the 119 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Jumping Jazz Cats. The complaint that keeps coming up: very small player base for online. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to love this game. The gameplay is unique, and quite fun. However, the local co-op advertised, the reason I bought this, straight up does not work on a Steam Deck with two gamepads. (Xbox) Can we fix this please? I will update this review, if so. Until then, beware.

neutral · AI labelView post →The game is fun! I love it very much, but I would say I do not recommend getting the game as it is now mainly because it is hard to get into lobbies as not many people play the game. There is no versus ai and the singleplayer is nothing like the mini games that are in the co op. If you have people to play this game with you it will be nice but other than that I wouldn’t get it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun concept but gets repetitive real quick, only 3-4 levels to play in so playing in a cup that has more than 4 stages then you are going to play the same stage multiple times. Unless they add more levels and games into it then i would not recommend getting this game yet

positive · AI labelView post →I'm ngl the game play is honestly hard to describe, its like classic team games with a twist, and honestly, I prefer the twists over the gameplay itself. It can also be a bit confusing figuring out if the game is giving the rules for the twist or the actual game, unfortunately. But our main issue is that every time we have a lobby up, someone gets disconnected after the first game, and since theres no reconnect feature, we either have to start a new lobby or quit. So it has hit that unplayable…

neutral · AI labelView post →Other than the false advertising of "Up to 4 local players can join via split-screen" that wasn't added until over a month after release, and in a beta release, this game is just overall boring. Don't get me wrong, the entire cat theming is adorable, but the rest is just either boring, confusing, or both. The minigames are just not fun at all, and has nothing to do with music or rhythm, which is what the trailers, name, and everything else advertised made me believe.

neutral · AI labelView post →Someone forgot that this is released on PC. A co-op game without the option to play with KBM vs Controller. You have to have at least two controllers to play with two players. Unbelievable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This cute little game was a fun surprise! I got it mainly to play with my niece, but I ended up loving it myself! It is fun for a casual gamer, but still leaves room for those who want to be challenged with the tiers to each level in solo play. The remote play together worked seamlessly as well. Great art style and fantastic soundtrack too. A really nice little game that I hope to see more updates for in the future.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Day 1 release, there are bugs, however me and my friends have been waiting for this game since the demo came out, and we couldn't be happier!! The customization of the kitty cats is so in depth, and the platforming has been smoothed out and easy to control. Definitely recommend it as a game for you to play with your friends in a discord call.

neutral · AI labelView post →Look im on the edge with this game, i would recommend it but i also wouldn't, love the concept of the game, but i also went into thinking it was like it take 2 kinda game so i was shocked when it was a battle royale game, and there isn't anyone really playing so if you're playing solo it wont be as fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is incredibly cute, featuring lovingly animated, customizable cats and charming, wide maps full of clutter and decorations. The minigames are hit or miss. The best ones are those that force players to interact with each other by stealing things from one another or chase each other, creating a lot of mayhem, laughter and "OH NO YOU DIDN'T" moments. The minigames that don't promote player interaction ("run around the map collecting XYZ" type of objectives) pale in comparison. Having…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super cute game, easy to pick up for a little while when you need something to play just for a bit! Well worth the price I'd say. Definitely a game that you need to join a public lobby for, or that you need lots of friends to play with so that you can get the most of it! It's more fun with more players. There's only a select few game modes from what I can tell, but it's very light stakes, friendly competitions, and I have fun with it even as a very non-competitive gamer! I can't say much for…

neutral · AI labelView post →It's a cute game but most of the game is supose to be the online experience which does not excist. Eighter because no one is playing this game anymore or the servers just don't work. There is fun to be had in the little storymode single player but it's very short and don't think was the main focus. Making your own cats is fun but there is no one to show them off to.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Jumping Jazz Cats is a really fun and cute game. The music is great and there are a lot of good maps, the gameplay is also fun. My only issue is that there is little to no one online and I find it difficult to look for anyone to play with. The servers are a ghost town so this game is just collecting dust in my library because I have no one to play it with. It needs more advertising.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is absolutely fantastic. Its such a fun time but I can get very competitive. I made my cat in this game and it was so cute. You can tell the developers also love cats and everything about this game is super charming. I had a lot of fun playing this with just me and my partner but I think this game will truly shine with a group of people where you can have a whole group of cats on teams. Very fun party game and I enjoyed it very much I cant wait to keep playing!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is such an underrated game. Very adorable, great cat customization, and very fun with friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For 2 EUR a pretty good, short, simple and fun (party) game. We played the tournaments co-op and the single-player trials (full stars) and needed around 7 hrs for that. There is an online pvp-mode as well but I don't think that many servers will be up because this is not the kind of game people would play competitively. 7/10.

positive · AI labelView post →Online multiplayer doesn’t work. The solo trials are 15 levels, consisting of the same 4 or 5 mini games in different settings or rooms of the house. Each floor has 3 levels. Each level gives you 1-3 stars. A certain number of stars is needed to move to the floor above. I got through 3 floors, then on the second to last one, they required 10 more stars, I would get maybe 6, so I guess I quit. The charged jump should be a double jump, there should be more time to complete tasks, or have the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So... I played this game with friends, and? It's GOATED! It's super fun, has interesting modes, great visuals, and leads to lots of laughs and giggles! It gives off strong Hat in Time vibes - which I love, given my nostalgia for that game - and a bit of Rayman and even Mario Kart too, if I'm being honest. As for learning the mechanics? It’s not hard; sure, because there are several modes and extra features, you have to spend a little time memorizing them and learning them, but after a few…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun even with 2 people, im putting the game as not recommended because it would be better if this game wasnt so dead,, you'd be lucky if you even find one person in a lobby. like where's all the people who bought this game??
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe it would be more fun with more people, but I only played it with one other person and it could have been better. There was too much going on to know where to go or what to do.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the bast game i playd 10,000/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a party game! Instead of Mario or Rabbids it's cats. Party games are basically more chaos and laughs than actual, deep gameplay. They're basic, they're ideally art-forward, and should make up for that shallowness with breadth. You get a lot of little games, in other words. All others I've played were all couch-coop affairs, but the PC offers remote gameplay choices that consoles of yore could not. I could write this total PhD-grade disseration here, so be grateful you're not getting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game runs ok on steam deck BUT multiple local controllers are not working on the deck... Tried to create a bug ticket for the devs but I gót the 3rd reply from them support to change proton version, disable steam input, change order of the controllers. None of them works and they didn't promise anything that this will be fixed
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i wanted to like this game because cats. but this game does not have local coop for 2 players, and the multiplayer mode is way too repetitive and just not good. there's a rhythm mini game to play while still playing the main mini game and it's overwhelming in a not fun way. i like the idea but the execution fails. maybe if they add a local coop mode I'll try it again.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unless you have at least 9 more friends to play this with, don't get the game. Waiting in the lobby feels endless, especially for a game that's still new. If you do get it, hoiwever, recommend it to a YouTuber or something to get more people to play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super cute and fun in couch co-op. Criminally underrated imho.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly just didnt have fun with this at all. The customization options where cute but there is barely any games and the controlls are difficult. Didnt even get an hour in before deciding to never play again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game really lacks in content, with no updates coming out. I dont really know if the game is abandoned, but really feels just like a cash grab.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →could not get split screen to work. p1 is on m/kb and p2 is on controller but no matter how many times i hit start on controller it just controls p1. playing online i realized how boring most of the minigames are. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To me, it's a charming and simple party game, but you see what the game has to offer after a single Multiplayer Match. The game is also rather buggy, with some of my friends getting stuck in the sky for whole rounds or unable to see their score the entire match long. I've played with multiple friend groups after convincing them, but sadly most have refunded the game already, since the bugs ruined the experience for them and/or seeing everything the game offers after one match. So I do…
