However, if you liked the original, you should definitely pick this up; it really carries on the legacy. It just left Early Access, and while there are only 4 or 5 maps right now, they have a lot of depth, so you won't finish them in just two hours. The multiplayer and versus modes are great—you should definitely play this with friends! It’s your choice, but I’d recommend grabbing it on sale.

Some maps are okay but others just have way too much stuff to do in them that just takes away from what the game is supposed to be. It's more of an RPG than a spider killing game. Levels like the western one and the matrix one have way too much going on. I wanna kill spiders, not run around doing a billion side quests to collect a bunch of stupid upgrade items and outfits. It's almost nothing like the first game. Huge disappointment.

You will be thrown into the game without any explanation, will have to navigate the game world of 7 large levels with a dozen of objectives each. I finished most of the game in about 12 hours but the rest 20% of completion rate took twice as much: so many types of collectibles on huge levels, not even the detector upgrade can save you time, using guides is the only way to progress at some point.

I'd recommend waiting until you've visited the cyber world before trying to go back for completion and finding new weapons, as some of the movement options you get in the cyber world can make it a lot more managable.
