Buildings and progress are not saved in a "run." The game starts from scratch with each run. Only card unlocks are saved from run to run. "New Game" will erase EVERYTHING. Card unlocks, everything in the album will be gone. This game has the most bizarre progression system I have ever seen done on purpose. This plays NOTHING like Stacklands.

So, I'm enjoying this game BUT (and this is a big but) I really feel like the gameplay loop has to be expanded far beyond what it is now. Once you discover the card combinations, it's a simple matter of waiting for your resource gathers to get what you need and combining stuff. There's an interesting secondary gameplay where you unlock locations, and choose how to deal with them, but there are three buildings that …

Great game! The visual design is stunning! <3 Discovering new combinations is kind of addicting, and I’ve found some secrets too ;-) The gameplay is smooth and engaging. The soundtrack is amazing and fits the game perfectly! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys this type of game!!

I’ve only played about an hour and a half so far, but I’m already hooked. What really stands out is how rewarding it feels to combine different cards — every time I discover a new combination it’s exciting and makes me want to experiment more. Runs feel different enough that I’m curious to see what other strategies open up as I unlock more. The art and overall vibe are charming, and the game feels smooth and …

I wanted it to have a soundtrack with a mix of fantasy, Celtic and medieval vibes, full of spirit. The game is out in early access now, and here is the main theme of the game!
neutral · AI labelView post →I played the Demo when a while ago. I thought it was fun, and with some evolution it may get to where it needs to. Unfortunately I don't think that's where it is. It's a fun game, please do not get me wrong. And the price tag is low. But once you've played your second game after unlocking a bunch of things - it doesn't get tons different each play through. It's mostly waiting and trying out new card combos. The strategy level isn't super high. It's not a bad game at all. I'd rate it middling…

neutral · AI labelView post →I can't, at this stage, recommend this game, because it's extremely limited. But I'd love to see where it goes. So, unlockables: 2 extra lands to gather resources from, and the rest are "location" type cards, which you can use to explore, steal, or conquer - all of which do the same thing, give you some resources. There's no automation like in other card games, like, continuously stack a resource somewhere, or craft something multiple times. All the buildings are unlocked from the get go…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun game, combining cards to discover new types is an interesting mechanic. The game is cheap, if you enjoy card strategy games you should definitely give it a try.

neutral · AI labelView post →An interesting take on the Kingdom Building Genre. A little grindy to figure things out and you will replay alot, but it keeps getting interesting as you learn more. You have to learn as you go though and experiment... What you can do keeps expanding as you learn more and more possibilities become available. It is alot of trail and error and learning while trying things out...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game play feels more like Cultist Simulator rather than Stacklands. Game is split into multiple runs with meta progression unlocking new cards in between runs. Runs have an ending/goal - the map boss. Unlocked cards either new locations to explore, or new castle lands for new resources Different castle lands give different resources, so the unlocked castle lands are not necessarily straight upgrades from the older castle lands - they're still useful. Castle Lands can…

neutral · AI labelView post →Kingdom of Cards is a card-based strategy game with elements of resource management and roguelike mechanics, where you build and defend your kingdom by discovering new units, items, and resources through card combinations. Your main goal is to grow your kingdom, fight off enemies, and defeat several bosses. As the game progresses, more and more cards appear on the board, so it’s better to plan your layout carefully from the very beginning. The game offers a wide variety of possible card…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Expanding and finding the card combinations feels really satisfying. Managing all the cards while facing the attacks keeps the game engaging. A great choice for strategy fans :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is great; it's captivating and makes you want to keep playing and discovering different resource combinations. It would have been helpful to have a tutorial at the beginning, as I wasn't sure what to do or how to get started, but once you get the hang of it, it's really enjoyable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoying this game. The first run is just enough to show you the basics, while also sucking you in wanting to discover different cards & combos. I'm only about 2 hours in, so I can't speak on what it's like having everything unlocked. Going to enjoy the ride until I get there.

neutral · AI labelView post →Charming card game with rock-scissors-paper combat system. It has some gamebreaking bugs, doesn't save on game exit and some aspects are quite frustrating. However it is still entertaining enough for the asking price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Once you start combining cards you just cannot stop! Amazing game with beautiful art. Very simple mechanics but with infinite possibilities. I love it!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is amazing. I love city builders and card games, and this game mixes both. I can’t wait for the new content of this game !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a great time with this game. The art is beautiful—I really like the style!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a true testament to the care and effort of the development team. The artwork stands out, and the game’s progression is incredibly engaging. The hard work and passion behind it are evident, and the value for money is excellent. Great game, highly recommended!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really cool combination of roguelike and city builder!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a nice card collector game, it is simple enough to start and get you hooked into getting more cards, I'm looking forward to play this game in more depth. The learning curve is a bit steep but nice in general.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →stuff needed is behind unlocks, so it seems you have to loose your runs in order to progress.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried to like this, I really did. But the game is just bad. The core loop isn't fun and that's not helped by the fact that it has several game-breaking bugs that, looking at the steam forum, were reported over a year ago and still aren't fixed. Not suprising given that the game was apparently dumped out on early access, released 'full' and then received it's last and latest patch all in the span of six months.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just not a very good game overall It's basically a dumbed down version of WichHand, which, in turn is a dumbed down version of Stacklands. You have these plots of land that generate cards for free, you combine them into warriors and fight enemies. Problem is, no part of this process is particularily satisfying. Crafting is tedious and you even cannot. Most of your units are trash. Even those that aren't can still die from a few lucky strikes. And if you fail combat three times... well,…
