Unfortunately, Little Nightmares II lost what made the first game special for me. Instead of that slow, creeping dread, it keeps throwing in loud set-pieces and timing-based chases. By the third “run-die-repeat” sequence, the tension turns into routine and the mood breaks. The world and lore are still fantastic, but the action-heavy pacing drowns out the magic

Little Nightmares II is not just an incredible horror title but a fantastic sequel to its predecessor. From the atmosphere to the sound design, everything about this game is crafted so perfectly. The world feels dark, disturbing, and mysterious in the best possible way. Every chapter keeps you on edge, and the puzzles are challenging without being frustrating. The art style alone is a masterpiece. It tells so much of the story without even needing dialogue. Game #33 of 2025 Little Nightmares II I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did, even with the very annoying ending. There were a few moments where I nearly visited brown town on stream, not too jumpy but it was just the right amount. I'm now ready for Little Nightmares III!

It pains me greatly to give a thumb down to what is a gorgeous and carefully made piece of horror. Especially after a first episode I am very fond of. But the reality is, after finishing the game, I think Little Nightmare II is more trouble than it's worth. That is, I realize it, saying a lot from the outside looking in, when presented with the incredibly nuanced and creative art direction; an art direction that manages to continuously surprise, even when staying monochrome, cool colors,…

Finished Little Nightmares II again today. I really am astounded by the duality of innocence and terror that exists in this game. You are playing as a child who seems unphased by death and the horrors that surround him and that's what makes it that much more disturbing. Such a great game.

The story’s a bit longer than the first one, enemies seem a bit harder this time and the puzzles are better in places, but I still like the first game more as it just felt creepier to me. One big difference is you play as Mono this time with 'Six' following you as an AI companion. She helps out with puzzles and reacts to things a bit, which makes it feel as if you were playing with someone. Now that I’ve finished both first and second game, I’ll probably play the third one as well. 9/10

Such a downgrade from LN1 and a VERY frustrating experience. Fights are terrible, flashlight aiming almost gave me an aneurysm and I ran into 2 progression softlocks where key items would not spawn, fixed by starting over the whole chapter on the non-enhanced version. Puzzles are also a lot less creative than LN1 and unintuive. A lot of game mechanics are inconsistent like you'll try something and it doesn't work so you try other things until you look it up online realizing you had it right…

I really did like the first Little Nightmares but I feel like this game has some serious problems. I feel like the levels are kind of jank and buggy and the puzzles often require weird timing-based solutions. Visually it's great, I love the theming and I like the main characters but it was really hard to put up with.

The atmosphere is great but, when you have no intuitiveness on your controls in your game along with having to do absolutely everything manually and hold the games hand like a small child is when its not fun anymore and just a chore. The amount of times I've died to getting caught by a pixel or my character not crouching/sliding on just refusing to crouch and walk forward was enough for me to actually write a review. The atmosphere, the environment and design all looks fantastic. I loved the…

I'm only at the school, but the game is great and yes, the controls can be difficult, like angling them to jump and grab or quickly running and hiding, but it doesn't mess up the game and the game has a better plot than the first one, so good that I learned and obsessed over the game before I even played it! It is 100% worth the time and money to buy and download it!

Personally my favorite game in the whole franchise. I feel it's a lot more loreful than the first game but that comes with a lot of frustrating gimmicks and deaths if that frustrates you. You WILL die a lot, but the monsters are scarier than before, the new (and old!) characters receive a lot more depth, and I feel like this is honestly the face of the LN franchise nowadays even more than Six's iconic yellow raincoat. I'm late to the party, but the game was genuinely such an unforgettable time.

Pretty decent game overall, but what a shame they didn’t fix essential bugs. I played the Enhanced Edition and encountered at least three of them where key items were literally invisible. You end up wasting time searching everywhere for clues to progress, thinking you missed something, without using internet tips - only to later realize you actually did everything correctly and the puzzle was easier than you thought. It’s just a bug where a KEY FRICKN ITEM doesn’t exist or is invisible. (You…

8.8/10 This title essentially inherits all the flaws of its predecessor, and to this day still suffers from significant bugs in both gameplay and visuals. Some level designs feel disjointed, and certain scenarios offer even less margin for error than the previous game, leading to frequent deaths that severely disrupt the game's pacing. Yet despite these issues, it remains a profoundly weighty work. It is arguably this installment's content that lends the entire Little Nightmares series its…

The art and the story are on par with the first one. But the game is so janky and full of bugs, all of them stemming from environment interaction. Collision in this game is your worst enemy and the spooky atmosphere disappears on your 5th try of doing something, but this time it doesn't work even though you're doing it the same way. Not to mention the many times I had to reset a level or even restart the game so that things stop bugging out. Hopefully Reanimal does not follow this trend. With…

This game is frustrating compared to the first. It is not forgiving and requires you to die in order to complete each area exactly as the devs intended it. Many of the areas are not intuitive. The ideas about "monsters" and design are insanely creative and like a piece of art. Still, I'm sorry to say that this has been the worst game I've played in the last time because of insane bad controls and control point system. I've played LN1&2 over the last few days, and the first game hooked me instantly. The horror atmosphere, soundscape, and graphics are phenomenal. LN2 feels like an extended version of LN1, which I appreciate, but I was hoping for more gameplay mechanics. They're both still great games and stand out for their incredible atmosphere.

This game is lowkey special since it's my first horror game and story game in general, the best little nightmares BY FAR ( comparing to the 1st game). LOVE the lore of this game and the idea. Everything is amazing about it and its also very easy to 100%. Craaaaazzzyy plot twist too btw ;p

Enjoyed the first Little Nightmares. LN2 steps it up with grim atmosphere, mood-setting music, and cool lore peeking into that twisted world. Would've been perfect... except the gameplay. Clunky controls make you die nonstop, and half the time you're just guessing what the devs want. Too many frustrating moments. Even though I don't recommend it, if you liked the first one, you might enjoy this more than I did.

This game literally broke my heart! How dare you! I liked the first game (not so much the DLC), but this one is on another level. It’s scarier, more heartbreaking, and more stressful! As if I hadn’t built enough trust issues on my own. I love the nightmare world-building! Some of the controls are a little clunky, but all in all it was a game I enjoyed through and through!
