Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 161 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (609 of 681 positive).
Players praise the game's fun, chaotic gameplay and deep customization. [1][2][3] Some reviewers find the game too easy or lacking challenge. [4][5][6]

Its too easy? I died once, in the first run. All other runs things just work out. You always get to max all the skills that you have, so you dont even need to strategize which one to prioritize. The game is nice, the art is pretty, has a funny storyline and character. The wand build system is cool (but goes back on the "too easy" aspect, where it really doesnt matter how you build them), the skill system is …

I feel like I robbed the developer by only paying 5€ for this gem. This is the pinnacle of survivors-like games. 10/10 art, graphics, concept and overall gameplay.

I have never witnessed Devs that just sit in the Forum and read all the Comments, just to implement them a few days later. Every day there are Updates, even noticable ones from a Players POV. Thats Dedication and for that alone this game gets a recommend. Gameplay is fresh and interestig. There are many combinations and all Spells and Characters are viable. Only Critique I can give is to polish the Endgame. If I …

Machick 2 is pure chaotic fun hilarious, messy, and surprisingly addictive. Controlling a magic chicken has never been this absurdly entertaining. The gameplay is wild, full of laugh-out-loud moments, but also sprinkled with bugs that almost feel like part of the joke. Humor: Genuinely funny, sometimes brilliant, sometimes repetitive — but always unique. Content: More levels, more powers, more ridiculous references …

This magical roguelike-survivor is a delightful storm of chaos, creativity, and challenge. Right from the first run, it’s clear that the game doesn’t just want you to survive — it wants you to thrive in the most explosive, magical way possible. What stands out the most is the spell system. Crafting and combining spells into over-the-top, devastating combos is both fun and strategic. There’s a satisfying sense of …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing. My only complaint is visuals (which are excellent) get cluttered at late stages of a run. Everything else about it is perfect.

This is the sequel to the cult-favorite Machick, a game where you play as a magical chicken locked in eternal war with an army of frogs. Frogs don’t normally eat chickens—unless the devs know something we don’t—but here they’re endless, unrelenting, and screaming for poultry blood. Your job is to turn them into amphibian confetti. The format is…
neutral · AI labelView post →I've only dipped my toes in for a few hours so far, but it's been great fun. The wand creation is neat and helpful, the graphics mean my potato PC can play it, the gameplay loop feels fun, and it's not frustrating with overlong animations or interruptions that make the flow of the game feel jarring. I did read a review that it was too easy, but unless I'm just too much of a neanderthal, I've found it to be challenging without me tearing my hair out. I'm glad I found this title. :) Update:…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beat the first stage on first try easily with starter wand. Proceeded to second stage expecting a moderate ramp up in difficulty. Instead I get killed every run by an unavoidable boulder that covers literally the entire screen. You can't outrun it and by the time you see it spawning its already too late. You've got to be kidding.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a gen of a game.. visually and overall vibe is fantastic for Survivor Like fans. If you enjoy such games this one should be on your short list. I continue to keep coming back to it and plan on 100% this one eventually. I will say the first 4 hours for me had me stuck on the first level till I figured out all the leveling up and once I did that I started to really push through the content and its overall great. Love the Frog vs Chicken concept and it works with great visuals humor and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent survivors, plenty of characters and skills. Biggest complaint is that every run has felt like a power trip with little resistance.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty sure the game is amazing, but some feedbacks of the latest demo are still lacking. -2K/4K not supported, game is blurry. -No rebind, forced to use QWERTY keyboard on windows (not an issue usually, but when I have to type the name of the wand it's a bit bothersome) -No information on what the events on the map do, could be nice to have a little pop-up explaining the first couple of times. Will definitely update the review once everything is updated.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →MACHICK 2, is a huge step up from Machick 1, instead of feeling like a rushed flash game, this is a full fleshed out survivors-like. The game has gone through major changes but somethings stay core to it. The lore is developed through a very charming flipbook-style animation, and whilst being simple, it is more than enough for this type of genre. The bosses were a big surprise as some of them completely change the stage/arena and are often than not 3D, which lets them stand out a lot from the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone that had at one point 100%d vampire survivors, this game has managed to scratch that itch. For it's price alone the amount of content and effort put into this game was genuinely surprising. The sound track and art style further amplify the already good gameplay loop and story that the game builds. On top of that the consistent updates and support from the devs has made this game more than worth it. Definitely a underrated indie gem
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth the price. Not a lot of content, some characters are buged and don't work as intended. There are visual and sound bugs like a sound that won't stop unless you close and reopen the game. To be faire, it was a fun game but not worth the money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this on sale thinking it would cure my sunday afternoon boredem but ended up spending 20 hours to 100% the thing and wished there was more to grind! really fun game. It's another action roguelike but it's a lot of fun. Well worth it for fans of the genre who've yet to get burn out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My gambling addict friend said if I post a review on Machick 2 and it gets 350 likes and 150 Awards that he will buy me a case of beer, some vodka, and bottle of wine.. So I'm just gonna leave this here
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The games is fantastic so far but I’ve already almost finished every level but the last 2 and I still don’t have fusions unlocked for some reason. I saw others playing on YouTube and they do.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the visual style and the concept of the game, but I won't recommend it because of 2 major issues: - there is serious frame drop even with a notebook well above the minimum requirements (Intel Core i7 with 16 GB RAM and dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 940M). I know this notebook has its limitations, but running at 30 FPS and constant dropping to 20 FPS is no excuse. - the game is unbalanced. you start too weak, and initial runs only last a couple of minutes. And from what I learned from other…

We're live with a gifted game, Machick 2, that is like Vampire Survivors but instead, you're a magical chicken! What more could you want? neutral · AI labelView post →Very fun game, good graphics. However, it could be better optimized. But def would recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great evolution of the Survivors genre! This game mixes rogue-lite mechanics in a way that really makes sense. It helps you cover your weak spots and keeps you hooked. Feels like the old Phobia games from the 90s, but with a modern twist: you get stronger during each run, and outside of runs you can craft and unlock upgrades that make the next attempt even better. Gameplay Super engaging and addictive. Endless mode can eat hours of your life — in a good way. Difficulty Tough but fair.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SUPER FUN for the first 2 hours, then a grueling waiting game for the timer to tick over to 5 minutes longer than the previous run as you are maxed out. so much more content but WHY? This is a half baked Magicraft that I wish I could return.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I started playing today and couldn't work after opening the game! Never imagined there could be so much variety of frogs in a game hahaha. The sprite art is beautiful
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun! Catchy tunes, solid progression. Keeps me hooked. If you like vampire survivors, give it a go!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed the first game, but this one so far is feeling SO good!! The new chickens, frogs, maps and bosses are super cool, soundtrack too, but tbh the boss fights are my fave part; I already beat 2 of them and the fights are pretty unique, which makes the game way more fun. Also loving all the references, ninja turtles!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game with a great variety of builds! The mechanic I enjoyed the most was crafting my own wand with different powers. And of course... THE CHICKEN POWER !!!!! 🐔
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my go-to comfy games now, it's addicting to see what the evolved forms are for weapons. I like mix and matching wand components. It's really good, just buy it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game and runs great with proton on PopOS
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You get over powered too fast and if your not chasing achievements you will only get a couple hours of gameplay out of it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and quirky vampire-survors-like/auto shooter, although some of the achievements are a little grindy to get. When I played, the early game was a little too slow, and the late game too easy, but the dev is constantly rebalancing the game, so not sure how it is now.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a really fun game! absolutely love it. i enjoy the cool a#@ (im not gonna curse just to be on steams good side :]) animations! i also love how theres yugio references like whith yugios triangle or henxodia theres also demogorgans :3 also i have a tiny lil suggestion! when you collect all of henxodias parts as demochicken (forgot its name) you get a special animation of all 4 parts being put together and when henxodia is made the demochicken just consumes them and you devs can choose…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun and goofy, not mentioning cheap. Definitely buy it if you want a couple hours of distraction and some laughs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THIS GAME IS GOATTTTEEEDDDDDD!!!! I LOVE MACHICK RAGGHHHHHHG!!! BEST GAME OF ALL TIMEEEEEEEE!!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is like a harder version of Machick but with better visuals and combat. I like this game very much the begining is hard and you have to play for a lil while but after awhile as you gain skills and items the game gets better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really unbalanced at the start. Had to grind quite a bit just to make a wand that felt viable against the starting enemies. Had to put it down and play something else out of frustration eventually
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →EDIT: The devs are putting their work in and improved a couple of things. They care, they listen, and they want to improve their baby, and work on doing so! I respect that and this is a huge positive thing. The hub style is still not to my liking, but the gameplay felt way better than 3 weeks ago. The "swarm" can be dealt with. Still, some of the weapons seem to be much stronger than others, but ok. For me, the visibility has gotten way better, and the hitboxes feel a lot more reasonable.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It could have been macock2 but they didn't...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fine addition to the genre of survivors games but it's only OK. It has a bit more variety than some games I've played but it's not well balanced. There are area bosses and they have unique mechanics/attacks which is cool but... they take way too long and aren't all that challenging. I just spent 3.75 minutes doing essentially nothing finishing a boss before posting this review.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a surprisingly fun time playing! There is definitely a noticeable limit to the content, but still interesting. I think expanding on the items would also be nice as every run I felt like I saw the exact same items over and over again, or maybe make the item system to allow multiples (but you'd have to adjust some stats for that). Altogether, worth the price and totally fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My chicken turned into a dinosaur. A very angry dinosaur. Five stars.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Machick 2, developed by Deadpixel and published by Nuntius Games and Vsoo Games, is an electrifying sequel that amplifies the unique blend of frantic action, quirky humor, and deep customization that defined the original. This roguelike shooter places you in control of a magical chicken warrior on a wild journey through vibrant and unpredictable stages filled with hordes of bizarre creatures. The game’s unapologetically chaotic combat and staggering number of build possibilities make it a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ts is actually so good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its very cool to see a bunch of great ones coming out of this genre. This is certainly one of them. The frogs vs chickens theme is super fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've only played one match so far, and I can already tell they put a lot of effort into the game. It's well polished and full of humor. 🐔
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing art, incredible amount of unlockables and some quite unique mechanics. I really liked the boss fights. Also... the music is FIRE. Can't wait for the console release.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Machick 2 is simply amazingggggg!!!!!!!! The game is fun and addictive from the very first minutes. The mechanic of combining spells and creating crazy wands makes every run unique and unpredictable. The soundtrack and visual style give it a special charm, and the feeling of progressing with each run is super satisfying. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys creative roguelikes full of personality. One of the most fun games I’ve played this year....
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Funny, interesting and dynamic, I just started playing but already want to complete it 100%
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is very strong recommend for me if you can enjoy 10 hours of content at this price. I'm not seeing much attraction in continuing to play, personally. I will put it on my "circle back" list but it seems unlikely that I will do more than 1 or 2 runs if I ever come back. NOTE: It starts a little slow/hard (as many of these games do). Don't give up after 1 or 2 runs, give it 3. (Spend your first points on the burn/fire tree to match your wand.) Save your cash to buy a gold wand (enemies…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good pick-up-and-play game. Good way to spend half an hour if you have it spare. Later levels have a nice difficulty spike without being too frustrating. Really loved collecting the achivements on this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is amazing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/C3QUrG2U9qY Offering a rather funny premise has early promise but the action pacing is a bit too slow to feel a real power ramp during playtime.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid survivors-like. Very polished for its price! Great visuals and story, cool customizations, active devs. Would def recommend!! Only complaint: early spell drops feel underwhelming.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beat the final boss of Machick 2. Absolutely wonderful game. So much better than Vampire Survivors. #pcgaming #steamgames #pc
positive · AI labelView post →i ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS GAME. It's fun to break and I'm really excited for the return of the fusion system. Wonderful game to relax to.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hate frogs, love chickens? Play this. I like roguelike survivor games, I like chickens, so a roguelike survivor style game where you play a chicken that kills frogs is right up my alley. You start off with The Machick to play with a basic wand but can unlock more chickens to play that have different abilities and more ways to customize your wand. That's right, you can mix and match wand pieces to craft the perfect wand for your enjoyment. You can combo this with the upgrades you can get with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another survival roguelite that could've been very good if not for the very poor in-game information. The Wand system is interesting and promises some very stupid combos (you know, the kind of thing we all play these games for). 4 parts make up each wand, 6 options each, each with its own interesting effects. The weapons are nothing revolutionary, but they're interesting and fun. Level them 8ish times and then evolve into one of three options. Characters.. well.. there are a lot of them, I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kakooooooo! A top game for the best kfc enjoyers. Great artsyle, many spells, crafting starting wands, and overall great vibes. Would reccommend to anyone who likes survivor-type games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You are playing as a chicken. The nice part is that even the soundtrack etc. includes that or some other funny parts like pictues on the walls and some intro cinematic explaining some of the lore. If you like chickens you have to buy this game :) I would say it's the best vampir survivor "clones" that i have seen and played.
