Players find the physics unpredictable and often frustrating, with trucks feeling floaty or overly bouncy. [1][2][3] Some enjoy the game as a fun arcade experience with a good truck selection and career mode. [4][5][6] Others criticize repetitive gameplay, poor controls, and technical issues like crashes. [7][8][9]

Got this game to play with my son. The physics started off bad and after updates are just horrible. It's like the developers couldn't decide on realism or arcade-like and just decided to choose a pile of crap. The only pro to this game is that my son is too young to tell how garbage this game is.

A dull and repetitive slog hampered by poor cameras and unpredictable controls.

Monster Jam Steel Titans is a colourful arcade racing game with a horrible physics, where 25% go for actual racing and 75% for arena stunts. Combine these two and you may (or may not!) enjoy the game. The racing parts are unusually simple. One mode only - be the first truck to reach checkpoints. Your path will lie through woods, dirt roads, canyons, or in later career sections - in circled arenas. What's the catch? …

As a huge Monster Jam fan myself who has been going to shows annually since 2015, I was really hoping for this game to be its gaming comeback, considering how terrible ABAIG, Crush It, and Battlegrounds were. Did it turn out to be that way? Well....yes and no. Here's why. The Pros +A nice variety of trucks and tracks to choose from +Good handling -- not as great as POD, but still good +Improvable truck stats (Speed, …

I bought this game on a whim because my son, like all children these days, is into monster trucks. What was supposed to be a silly franchise game, ended up teaching my son fine motor skills and how to save up and make choices on what to buy, and an overall incredibly fun game. The mechanics are sound, the physics are hilarious, and it has split screen co-op. A year later and we still find ourselves going back to …

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring and awkward. If you want a real monster truck driving experience, download BeamNG.drive and go to beam-monsters.com. I don't think that most people care about the racing part of the game, they just want to drive around a realistic monster truck and the Unreal engine just isn't made for that kind of physics.

neutral · AI labelView post →Monster Jam Steel Titans for a game itself is not a bad game, however, the physics are really whacky at times and the trucks may not work as they would in real life, however, over all most modes can be beaten with a few tricks here and there and the game is quite entertaining. The overall play is wonderful, it give you a great feel, but as said before, its a game out and out. Many different trucks to unlock via game play and building up points, at the time of writing this review I have 13.1…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The force feedback for the wheel is the sloppiest I've seen in a game released recently. Wheel violently vibrate every time you accelerate and every time you break, enough to make you worry about the health of your wheel. No power steering in the game so all trucks are driven like yachts, and trucks are super bouncy, like cartoonish bouncy which gets obnoxious pretty quickly. I would not recommend this game, especially for the 30 they are asking for. Monster Jam for the Wii is a much better…

neutral · AI labelView post →Controls feel wanky, the physics are rediculous. It's like driving on the moon. Also, the decision not to have all cars and game modes available from the start is really annoying. The game makes you unnessecarily grind for everything. not fun.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Monster Jam Steel Titans is an freesyle and racing game which have an open world to drive but it isnt the biggest it dont have to be for the games scale its fully right (4-5 hours for career mode without exploring the open world map): Pros: + graphics are ok (draw distance with tress need a little more work) + soundtrack is ok + outdoor races are alright (some better than others) + open world hud is good to explore also to find all 50 collectiables + destroy mode is fun + monster truck car…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Close to being great but absolutely BONKERS Freestyle physics ultimately gives this game an L Oddly the more grounded MJ game, probably The most grounded MJ game, which further disappoints me since the game plays like butt. Trucks feel floaty and weigthless. But at least they don't feel as terrible as Monster Truck Championship. They hardly bounce from big jumps. In air control is greatly exaggerated; you can do backflips off of jumps that would be otherwise impossible to.…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros - Its fun - Good selection of trucks - Trucks all look fantastic - Nice amount of stadiums that have unique track and freestyle courses - Free roam has collectibles and challenges - I love tournaments. Both career modes use the tournament system 16 total trucks 8 per side. - Good amount of hours if you want to 100% it. Otherwise around 10ish hours. Neutral - Sort of a sim sort of arcade. Leans more towards arcade - The environment graphics are just ok Cons - If you are leading in…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely. After reading through the reviews I decided to get the game. The people over 5+ hours into the game, had a pretty accurate depiction. Very much like the regulation Monster Jam, with the head to head races and freestyle events. It can get repetitive, which I agree with, but its not a game meant to sit down and play hours for. Its a game meant to kill free time. The open world is probably the best part of the game and reminds me of ATV off-road fury
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have to be honest, there's little reason to play this when Steel Titans 2 is just THIS game, but better, and actually good. Anything this game pulls off, the sequel (or, the "expansion pack", if you're cynical) does much better. I guess the physics are so bad, they're kinda funny. And it can be. But of the two, you're better off playing Steel Titans 2. You'd only play this for curiosity sake.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a DEMO, but nowhere does it say that. I thought I was getting a full game, but 90% is locked. I would not recommend. It is maybe worth $5 but you should the seller should be more honest about what they are selling.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a huge disappointment. It's extremely difficult right from the start. The trucks are really difficult to control. I played through the first career mode always finishing way behind the other trucks (I just carried on to try to get extra credits/money so I could upgrade). I've done some upgrades but the trucks handle worse afterwards. On the final race of the career mode (a circuit race) I had somehow managed to get into the lead and was actually leading right up until the final…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a stunningly terrible game... It's not fun, and there's no reason it shouldn't be... How the hell did you manage to make MONSTER TRUCKS not fun??? it's boring and uninspired. Sorry guys... it's a pass.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great graphics and it's fun to go off-road with a monster truck, but if you played Maximum Destruction as a kid and are looking to relive that you will be severely underwhelmed. Rally races are fun, but what isn't fun are multiple series of time lap races and trying to drive on two wheels. Let us run over cars and destroy other trucks! At least give more style in taking out other racers. The skeleton is here for a great game, but there is no meat. I would also like to add the game crashes…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was excited for this game, waiting for its steep price to come down, and as soon as I got it... I was very disappointed. Graphics are meh Trucks are meh The size of these trucks are not to the right scale like the actual shows. Customization blows goat nuts Avoid this game at all costs, imo. Game sucks. Boring. Nothing exciting. Computer AI is on superhard no matter what, they drive perfectly. The trucks you get flip over from a basic turn. It's very disturbing the price of this game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good game. Semi-Realistic and maintains the arcade-ish feel. But the physics are a little off, and that can mess you up in head to head events.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →COULD be a VERY fun game if the steering and physics weren't so............... CRAPPY. nothing like the real thing or even a good arcade racer. cant even complete an event because a glitched and bugged environment that wrecks my truck when im driving perfectly.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://store.steampowered.com/curator/40795588/ for more reviews like this. When I was a young child Monster Jam was my life. Dennis Anderson, Tom Meents, Jimmy Creten and Scott Hartsock were my idols growing up. I watched every event on TV with my dad and played all the games on the DS, Wii, and Xbox 360. Those games were some of my fondest memories I had gaming as a child. As I grew older I stopped following the sport and saw this game on Fanatical for 75% off. I thought I'd take a trip…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I originally wanted this game because I felt nostalgic about the old monster jam games I used to play on my Xbox 360. If you are looking for that kind of experience I don't feel like this game gives me that same experience. They seem like they are just trying to make money off of the Monster Jam name (seems kind of obvious now that I think about it). If it's on sale and you really want it is the only time I would maybe recommend this game but DO NOT pay full price. This is just a complete waist…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the game, it lot of fun to play, but I wish that there was a Steam Workshop where we could create our own trucks and arena's.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"career" mode is just racing on the same track 5 times per event. super repedative , boring and honestly lazy. refunded even though i got it ion sale at 67% off
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The physics in this game are unpredictable and "wonky", it often takes the fun away from playing it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While this is only a single player game, it can be pretty fun for awhile and to mess around on, but a lot of the tournaments repeat races, with only a slight variation on the map. Rating: 3/5.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game keeps crashing after a few minutes. Never had this issue with any other game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →awesome monster jam game feels good to drive these trucks on controller
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Monster Jam Steel Titans is a bit of an odd duck and one of those games that makes me wish there was a neutral / wait-for-sale review option on Steam. How much you will enjoy this game will depend greatly on what you were expecting going into it. If you are looking for a game where you put on epic demolition derby shows with highly customizable monster trucks, this is not what you’re looking for. If you’re just looking to pull of some stunts in monster trucks, it is. It is also a game that…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NO OTHER GAME HAS PISSED ME OFF THIS MUCH BEFORE!!!!!! THE PHYSICS SUCK WHEN YOU CRASH INTO A WALL YOU GO INTO A MILLION FLIPS IF THIS HAPPENS MID RACE YOU'VE LOST!!!!1 THE ONLY GOOD THINGS IN THIS (THERE ARE ONLY TWO) THE QUICK PLAY FREESTYLES ARE FUN BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY AND THE GRAPHICS ARE GOOD ENOUGH!!!!!! IN CLOSING THIS GAME IS A PEACE OF CRAP!!!!! 1 OR 2 /10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The trucks just spin out of control for no good reason and because of this the entire game is frustrating to play. The only reason I've played it this long is because my three year old is obsessed with Monster trucks, but even he finds it frustrating after a while.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Games Physics are all over the place making the game more frustrating than it ought to be. The devs haven't updated this game in a while and the game sequel is already out so the remaining issues might end up going unaddressed. My only advice is unless there is a 70%+ off sale, give it a pass and buy something more or less consistently broken :P
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I think of monster trucks I think of destruction. This game offers very little of that. Debris from things you destroy start vanishing the very second you break them, crushing cars does not feel satisfying whatsoever either, Which you never really get to do to begin with because 90% of the career is racing, not destroying stuff. Which is also boring, very bland repetitive tracks and areas to drive. I will say the trucks themselves look amazing, but it doesn't matter because when you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd say this game is like pulling teeth, but at least getting your teeth pulled doesn't take this long. It's more like being stuck in Purgatory. There's a lot of potential in the way the vehicles handle (I actually like the arcade physics) but the arena events are such a slog. They're either impossibly difficult or impossibly easy and I found myself playing only because I wanted to unlock everything, not because I was having any fun. The more open world races are actually a lot of fun, but…
