Moving the gun reticle feels sluggish and unresponsive on PC, it's annoying to have to press a key to swap between melee and ranged every second or two, and the gun never seems to start shooting correctly after you switch from melee. I have a bunch of hours in kill knight and that game is another isometric action title, but the combat is so smooth. Every time you die in kill knight, you know…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To begin with, I really liked the universe and the characters. The art direction is really good most of the time. The game is intriguing and it made me want to go all the way. It's nice to play something original. But... because there's a big BUT! I don't understand how the developers can leave their game in this state months after release! It's simply a disgrace! Music that doesn't start or stops suddenly, clicks in sounds, music loops that are very short at times... Bugs !!!! How is this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, sadly, no. Really great and amazingly creative setting but the actual gameplay is pretty bad. Not interested to keep going. If you're only in it for the story and experience rather than the gameplay, go for it, but this is clearly not it for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moroi is a weird game. The world is cool, twisted and horrific with a good story behind it. I enjoyed (for the most part) my 1st play through. That being said Moroi has a few big problems. firstly the controls. They're incredibly janky. Movement, melee & especially ranged is bad. You can easily get hung up on corners or behind opened doors that you cant see because of the sometimes awful camera. Melee feels oddly floaty and you often find yourself attacking in the wrong direction because…

neutral · AI labelView post →Really enjoyed my weird and whacky playthrough. Some areas definitely tested my patience, but the randomness of the story and encounters kept me locked in. Had a couple moments where the bosses absolutely wrecked me, but honestly, that just added to the chaos in the best way. Also, more games need ducks with teeth in them. Just saying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the demo and a bit of the full game so far. Creepy, weird and intriguing story. Definitely a hidden indie gem you should check out!

neutral · AI labelView post →Damn...I really wanted to like this, and I do, just not enough to suggest it to others. It's stunningly beautiful and rather original, but very linear and becomes quite repetitive quickly due to the overly awful combat-system. The bugs and frequent annoying glitches didn't help either.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If the wizard boss fight is anything to look forward to then this game is trash. I love a hard got to Get Gud at but this is just stupid hard for lack of ideas I guess. There is Hard fun and there is Hard just to be stupid because you cant think of anything better. If you like wasting your time on impossible boss fights game is for you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moroi is an Interesting Action RPG with Dark Humor and weird Elements, I can say this is a first experience for me for those kinds of games, It kept me hooked for hours because of the dialogues and the way each chapter unfolds. The characters and their dialogues were very nice choices I can say which made me even like it more, because I was attached to the story and wanted to know what's next. There are many secrets and puzzles to be uncovered during your playthrough. The boss fights were…

neutral · AI labelView post →Moroi is an arcady shoot em up game with some melee combat that takes place in a grotesque world, the gameplay loop consists of solving puzzles, slaying a bunch of enemies in small areas and fighting some bosses, I will list the pros and cons of this game: Pros: - The character design in Moroi is unique in a good way, weird looking grotesque somewhat mutilated characters, I personally loved their design, also the art style for the characters portraits is really good. - The dialogue between…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A+ story and writing. B- gameplay and mechanics. The story was what really kept me playing as well as all the cool characters you encounter.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel like this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with me. It's fun, definitely rough around the edges, and simple mechanically, but I sticking with it for the story and world. Definitely worth playing!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The story and atmosphere are incredibly creative and kept me hooked from start to finish. There is this constant sense of mystery that I loved. You think you know where the story is going, but then it takes a turn and surprises you. Even after finishing the game, I found myself wanting more of the story. The visuals and level design are amazing, rivaling some quadruple-A games. Every detail feels well though out, and it really adds to the immersive experience. The combat is straightforward,…

positive · AI labelView post →Really fun in a disturbing way. Twisted story, bizarre characters, and plenty of unexpected moments. Combat’s fun but could use more variety and depth. There are a few bugs and some rough spots, but nothing game-breaking. Overall, it's a nice experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moroi is a top-down twin-stick action-adventure game set in a surreal, grimdark world. You play as an amnesiac prisoner navigating the twisted corridors of the Cosmic Engine, a personalized hellscape filled with grotesque creatures and bizarre scenarios. The game blends hack-and-slash combat with puzzle-solving, all wrapped in a darkly comedic narrative inspired by Eastern European folklore. Pros: ✔️ Unique Moments: There were some standout scenes, like the one in the park/forest with mom,…

Was developed by a solo developer so make sure you check it out if you are at all interested! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tl;dr: I'm barely thumbing this up but it is definitely not for everyone. Pros: + Dripping with artistic style + The story and characters are interesting + The game kind of breaks the 4th wall in a neat way Cons: - I would have preferred either soulslike or action rpg type combat over the bullet hell top down style - Some of the puzzles are just not intuitive at all - You get locked out of areas so if you missed something you're SOL - I encountered major bugs that required multiple…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moroi is one of those games that reminds me why I fell in love with games in the first place. It’s weird, raw, and full of soul. The worldbuilding is just… wild, in the best way. You constantly get the feeling that something deeper is going on, like you're scratching the surface of a dark myth you’re not supposed to fully understand. Yes, it’s rough in spots. The controls can be a bit janky, and the combat is fun but isn’t its strong point. But honestly? I didn’t care. What kept me going was…

neutral · AI labelView post →It's really jank and really buggy with no polish at all, but it's pretty charming and unique. The combat's not great but it's functional enough and not really what you're here for anyway. Play it on easy or normal and sink into the weird ass story and atmosphere like a rock in molasses.

positive · AI labelView post →This is weird psycho trip game. Atmosphere is awesome but really depressing. Mechanics are ok but one time puzzle is dumb. Enjoyed the game, I think. Definitely good for the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing hack n slash adventure style puzzle game that is oozing with its own art style. The combat is solid and a lot of fun once you get the hang of it and reminds me of other fast paced top down perspective titles like RUINER or Hatred and even Hotline Miami Series. Then you have this mind trip of a story that unravels before you as you explore and there is plenty of things to miss but essentially will be discovering new locations and backtracking to solve puzzles/challenges etc. all while…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so far i really like the game , it has some jank here and there but i overall have a good expierence with it i like the story line and the puzzles that comes with it!! you help the mage but the other mages says he is actually a bad person like there is a whole plot twist to the story i did a 1 hour and 10min gameplay video and i can really say i do enjoy the game i will def finish the game and update my review according to the end game as i progress further but def a solid foundation and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a debut title, Violet Saint has done an impressive job of building a world that feels both dark and dismal, but also alive and full of character. Moroi is so much more than just a hack-and-slash, with both mystery and puzzles to solve throughout. The cast of absurd characters and humour keeps things light, even with all the gore, and the action packed combat sequences are bolstered by the pumping soundtrack. Even if you aren’t familiar with Romanian folklore, anyone who enjoys a good…

neutral · AI labelView post →Some interesting weird characters but the combat system is just plainly gross, and the controls unbearable. Is just unplayable to me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game if you like twisted and weird stories. Two best things about this game is story and level and characters design. Not sure if it's just for me but sometimes like bossfights there were no soundtrack (but weapon and enemy sounds were present). It feels it's indie game not fully polished, there are some typos and combat isn't especially deep. But if you want to experience something fresh and unusual, it's the game for you:))
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Moroi wants to be a dark fantasy, hack-and-slash, Souls-like, Metroidvania-esque puzzle game all at once. Because Moroi tries to do so many different things, it consequently doesn’t do any of those things well at all. It's also really janky and full of bugs, gratuitous gore, and very dark humor. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really keep trying to give this game a chance, because i really like the concept, the art, the story and the characters. but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ does the combat really piss me off! positive · AI labelView post →Moroi is a top down "grimdark fairytale" action game that I think fans of old school PC gaming will really enjoy. The demo is just a bit buggy, but I am glad that I played through the whole thing. The world is full of bizarre characters and is setting up a very intriguing story!

neutral · AI labelView post →Game started off a little odd, but that is what its supposed to be. The controls seem find. Left stick moves, right stick points in direction and you attack. You enter rooms and fight waves of enemies coming for you. What I hated the most, they will spawn right on you. So setting up a simple encounter waiting to defend yourself, you get hit from the back because dude spawned. That killed the fun for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would have loved to play this game but unfortunately there were some bugs i encountered which made it impossible to progress. The world seems insanely well made and very creative and that was what initially made me interested in this game but the dev seems to have gone MIA.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The most psychedelic game I run on Steam Deck. Controls are a bit stiff. Could be more responsive. I like it though.
