What players are saying
Counted from the reviewers’ own thumbs up/down on the 204 English Steam reviews we collected, not by the AI. Valve’s all-language rating: Very Positive (82,818 of 90,858 positive).
Players praise the game's stunning visuals and cinematic story mode. [1][2][3] Some reviewers note the online multiplayer is plagued by low population and cheaters. [4][5] The combat is described as flashy and accessible, though lacking depth for some. [6][7][8]

Awesome Game, and awesome story, but online is a straight up mess. A lot of players have really high ping or lag switch, and there is no anti-cheat engine. Every now and then you can have a legit match, but most the matches are rigged by cheaters who lag switch, and activate high ping so that you can't even block or react to there hits at all. I am straight up pro at this game so it's kind of sad to see the online …

Dead Game & why I say this with a sad heart because Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is dead—not because of its age, but because of the way it was played and what the community turned it into. Its death came not from lack of interest, but from repetition, imbalance, and the limits of its own design. Everyone relied on the same few characters and team combinations. Players discovered the strongest setups …

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is basically a playable anime fight scene and I mean that in the best way. The visuals are gorgeous, the roster is stacked, and the ultimate jutsus look insane. Story mode hits all the big emotional moments from the series, even if the gameplay is a bit button-mashy at times. If you’re a Naruto fan, this one’s an easy recommendation.

Storm 4 is Naruto at full volume. Big emotional fights, massive jutsus, dramatic story battles, glowing eyeballs, tragic backstories, and enough screen effects to make your monitor feel personally threatened. I love that this is one of those anime fighting games you can enjoy without being a hardcore fighting game person. You can jump in, pick your favorite ninja, throw hands, teleport around, yell internally, and …

NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 sits at 93% positive across 216 opinionated reactions from 4 sources. Fresh or rotten — where do you land?
Critics, per Wikipedia
Storm 4 sold a chart-topping 64,446 copies in Japan for the PlayStation 4, exceeding the launch sales of the first two Storm games but failing to reach those of Storm 3. According to the Siliconera website, the lower sales may have been related to Storm 4's release after the manga ended its serialization (unlike the previous games). A Bandai Namco press release reported in February 2016 that Storm 4 had shipped 1,334,000 copies worldwide: 80,000 in Japan, 84,000 elsewhere in Asia, 550,000 in Europe, and 620,000 in North America. VentureBeat found it as one of the top-selling fighting games during its release rivaled only by Capcom's Street Fighter V. In June 2016, TV Tokyo announced that…

My Anime Year in Review: 2025 It's been a good year since I [first posted](https://ani.social/post/12545267) here, looking for suggestions after I finished Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, which follows the Shippuden story, it also has a really good and entertaining 1v1 mod with a lot of characters and each having their own speacial set of abilities. Recommended for Naruto fans. DLC's can be activated with dropping the dlc files in the game and using creamapi.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Peak of the Storm Formula Having completed every achievement and spent countless hours with the game, I can confidently say that NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 remains one of my favorite anime fighting games ever made. This is not only because of the game's quality itself, but also because of the affection I have for the entire series. Over the years, I have played all four main STORM titles as well as Generations, and seeing the evolution of the formula reach this point was…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stream story time! I first had my start with streaming in October 2010 when I was 17. I wanted to "attempt" a launch stream for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, a game that I was really hyped for at the time because I was huge into Naruto. Of course, I had an old webcam and I've attempted

neutral · AI labelView post →I played this game AGES ago in my friend's device and it was a lot of fun. I finally managed to snag it during some steam sale and while I am only able to touch the game recently out of all times, it's still an amazing experience to play through it. To me it really feels like a final send off game to NARUTO as a whole series(even though I know now there are a lot of newer games, but at the time this game released it really feels like a whole journey's closure). I love how the game adapted the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you grew up watching Naruto, this game is basically fan service in the best way possible. The story mode hits all the big moments and actually makes them feel cinematic instead of just throwing fights at you. This is also, by far, the best out of all the Storm games. I actually played this back on release on Xbox in 2016 before I even knew Naruto Shippuden was a thing. I had only watched OG Naruto on Netflix, and at the time American Netflix didn’t even have Shippuden. I was also too young…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This used to be a fun game and don't get me wrong. It is still a fun game to play but what happened to the optimization of this game on PC bruh? This game would not go to fullscreen no matter what I do. And when I go to the Settings to change the resoultion and FPS, the game would minimized itself after I did some changes. The game would then go back to Windowed screen again even though on the Settings, it showed Fullscreen. This game was running smooth before. I tried to Google this issue and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best fighting game and story and execution and Naruto is the best anime
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fan service done right: flashy fights, big moments, and combat that looks like the anime in motion. Even when it’s simple mechanically, it feels cool.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not much depth to the combat system unfortunately. Press o a lot.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After spending around 30 hours with Naruto Ninja Storm, I can confidently say it’s been a blast. The game nails that classic Naruto energy with fast-paced battles, flashy jutsu, and a story mode that pulls you right back into the anime. Combat feels smooth and satisfying, even when things get chaotic on screen. What surprised me most is how easy it is to lose track of time. Whether you're hopping between missions, mastering new characters, or just spamming ultimate attacks for the spectacle,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great story mode with some cutscenes that hit harder than the anime itself. I only missed a proper open world — the separate adventure mode feels too limited — and the DLC could’ve been a bit longer. Still, it’s an excellent game and a strong finale for the series.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you want to play a Naruto 3d fighter, this game sure is one. Looks very good and all that, some frame drops during boss battles that I really feel my pc shouldn't have? I still think the first Storm game is the most fun one in general (both the battle gameplay and the silly little story mode where you walk around the village are great), but this has a lot more character variety if you're going for that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty fun and good game from a single-player and story perspective, but in multiplayer it's just boring and there are a maximum of 3 characters relevant to this game community.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The 3rd entry in the series, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 features over 80 playable characters based on the Fourth Shinobi World War story arc. The game features several system changes such as Instant Awakening, double jumps, Relays, etc.

I’ve been a fan of the anime since I was around 12 and watched all of the original Naruto and Shippuden, so playing through the big moments in game form was really enjoyable. The special moves are flashy, the characters feel fun to play, and the fights feel cool even if you’re not great at fighting games. It’s easy to pick up and…

The longer you live, the more you realize that the only things that truly exist in this reality are merely pain, suffering and futility. The selfish intent of wanting to preserve peace, initiates war and hatred is born in order to…

But for the full story you need the all versions of ultimate storm. I deffinetly reccomend
