The Regency Solitaire series is so charming and adorable, and you can't help but get swept along with the story even if they are all indulgent and shallow. This is where Regency Solitaire really stands out. There's not many Solitaire games with stories in, let alone decent stories with multiple characters, and it's all presented in such a gorgeous fashion that it matches the opulence on show. …

Great game, tremendously well-polished. Fell in love with the original against all odds (I am NOT the kind of person who normally plays solitaire or anything like it), played through it several times, was stoked to see they made a sequel. It's exactly what you'd want from a sequel, too: more, and better. More levels, more powerups, and everything a bit prettier and smoother. Not too casual or too intense, just the …

This is truly such a lovely, pleasant and feel-good game. Abscond from the vagaries of life and relax with an enchanting and relaxing stroll through a burgeoning tale of romance and companionship. The game features interesting twists on the solitaire genre, which are delightfully integrated into the theme of the story. With a fitting and enthralling musical accompaniment, let your worries melt away and immerse …

Okay... Hmm hmm hmmmmmm... I still prefer the First one, but this one isn't bad at all. I thought the first one had more heart within the story itself. This one had many characters and there was one scene after another. Following one character and then we are here, and oh! We are over there now!. Okay! Eventually it all ties together... Especially if you play the "Collector's Edition" levels, but... Why was it …

Man up and play the game, countess, that's what a primordial beast inside you truly craves. I just realised it's April Fool's. But I ain't even kidding.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did the meme. The second game is Regency Solitaire II released in 2024, which is 29 years after the first solitaire game.

positive · AI labelView post →Congrats to the IGF nominees/hon mentions. We entered Regency Solitaire II (on sale now btw) but didn't really expect it to get a mention. It's our 15th game and the BEST game we've ever made, it's really nice, but not really IGF material: store.steampowered.com/app/2137470/...

positive · AI labelView post →Your invited to the biggest soiree of the year with many interesting, scandalous secrets to be divulged. All while enjoying a splendid game of Solitaire! Regency Solitaire II by Developer Grey Alien Games A charming and addicting solitaire game perfect for the whole family. At the beginning I had planned to save ALL my money, until I had made $50,000. Then I could get the achievement "Prudent Saver." But I misthought, it was $5,000 which is for a different achievement, "A Women of Means,"…

positive · AI labelView post →Regency Solitaire II is a solitaire card game developed and published by Grey Alien Games. It is the sequel to Regency Solitaire although Regency Solitaire II can be played as a standalone game. (However, I do recommend checking out the first game, as it is absolutely lovely. ^^) You take on the role of Bella, the main character from the first game, who's now married to Lord Worthington. Bella wants to prove herself (and Dowager Duchess, the mother of Lord Worthington) worthy of her title,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In hindsight shipping our card game (Regency Solitaire II) one day after Balatro was a mistake lol. Perhaps if we had shipped it a week or two earlier more people would have noticed it.

neutral · AI labelView post →If you enjoyed Regency Solitaire I, you'll probably enjoy Recency Solitaire II. It's more of the same, but with new power-ups and a new story. Don't expect a deep and intricate story- that's not how solitaire games work 99% of the time. But it's fine- some of the colloquial British English may be confusing and isn't going to translate well if you are using an outside translator. But it adds some humor at times, and you may learn a few words you never heard before. Standard solitaire gameplay-…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a lovely sequel to the original Regency Solitaire, which does justice to the story and gameplay and adds new elements to keep it fresh. It's fun, it's simple, you can dip in and out, and the level difficulty scales appropriately. I love Regency Solitaire II, and I really hope we get a third instalment some day - I want to know how Bella's story will progress! <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lol, our game is only 144Mb, but it's PURE QUALITY! No filler. Regency Solitaire II is out really soon. Like next week hopefully. store.steampowered.com/app/2137470/...
positive · AI labelView post →There's nothing wrong with this game, but it is difficult for a visually impaired person to play due to card size, as well as the less-than-accessible dialogue. However, if you like your games to have a story line, this may be the solitaire game for you. I greatly enjoy the variety offered in the Jewel Match Solitaire series, so will stick with those.

neutral · AI labelView post →if you've watched season 4 of Bridgerton and the sentence 'be my mistress' haunts you... well, look no further because here is the happily ever after storyline (with solitaire) for benedict and sophie (; plus if you love juicy gossips and scandals, then you will be rewarded after every level including the bonus 'Collector's Edition' of Edgerton :p
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What's there to do while you're waiting for Demon Souls Remaster to land on PC? Well, obviously, lose yourself in a fine plot set in Regency Britain! Help Bella orchestrate a party of her life and make sure her friends get their own happy ever after, all while laying cards on a garden table. Jane Austen approves twice!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great sequel, and this one has an even better story. Nice casual solitaire with no bugs, and no grinding for achievements. I look forward to more games from these devs, they know how to make a wonderful solitaire game!! I highly recommend this if you enjoyed Regency Solitaire!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This publisher consistently creates a higher level of games. Simple solitaire, but with a solid story and nice graphics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a Jane Austen plot interspersed with fun solitaire rounds and some interesting tactical mechanics thrown in. If you want that, you've come to the right place.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OK something I can blow my money on after I launch a hit game. If people want a cheaper experience they can buy Regency Solitaire II.
neutral · AI labelView post →If you're played Regency Solitaire, this is largely more of the same - and that's a good thing. The art and story are sweet and light and capture the energy of this sort of story well, and the solitaire driving it all is excellent and addictive. I'd recommend starting in Hard Mode, which isn't too bad for most of the game but does ramp up to some truly puzzling scenarios when you're in the final stages.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't play the first Regency Solitaire, but that was no obstacle to my enjoyment of Regency Solitaire II! You can tell this from the preview images, but it's not your standard Microsoft Solitaire layout - the objective is still to clear the board, but the starting layouts are more interesting! I'd consider it an excellent light puzzler, great way to wind down or relax. The story line isn't complex, but I consider it compelling enough to complete the main levels plus the bonus levels. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely an improvement over the previous title while retaining the charm of the original.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the first Regency Solitaire and this one is even better! A more complex storyline, different powerups that can be used in strategic ways, and bonus levels after the main storyline is complete! All this with beautiful graphics and two levels of difficulty. I strongly recommend this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Much like the first Regency Solitaire game, this is a very well-made and engrossing solitaire game with a simple but cute story attached (you can tell the devs know quite a bit about Regency England!). It's very pretty and can get a bit complex if you play on harder difficulty (nothing impossible though - it's easier than Shadowhand, another of the devs' games, for example). Besides, there's a garden you can decorate with new items as the story progresses, which is always a top-tier game…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I paused playing Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth to play this, because I simply love games about disruptive marriage proposals. I am not exactly the target market for a Jane Austen inspired Solitaire game, but I have fallen in love with the work of Jake and Helen at Grey Alien games ever since Austin Walker at Waypoint recommended Shadowhand. They have created the perfect solitaire experience, with just enough of a narrative hook to keep you invested in the process. While I adore the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my favorite solitaire game! It has beautiful artwork, a cute story, fun levels, and relaxing music. It's one that I can replay over and over!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is just a nice, casual feelgood Solitaire game that wants you to have a good time. Highly recommended and worth supporting these devs with your money.

positive · AI labelView post →The negativity: **TRIGGER WARNING IF YOU HAVE A TOXIC MIL or trauma from ill mannered boy moms** The dowager is such a B****. Typical toxic MIL behavior that has been plaguing women from the beginning of time: she coddles her sons (particularly Horatio the youngest and most spoiled F boy of them all) and sees her daughter in law as a competitor for her son's affection. Bless you Bella for not knocking the dowager into oblivion and giving her the death sentence of a broken hip at her age. She…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adore Grey Alien Games but I can't recommend this game. It's full of AI slop, undisclosed AI slop, which is against Steam's terms of service as of 2022 A big part of this company's charm is the unique art in the games and being able to support a small business. AI is killing the planet and it's not worth it for an ugly, empty room with mismatched horse shoes hanging from the ceiling.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really love this game. It takes everything I loved about the original and improves and expands upon it. There's a longer story, additional chapters after the main story you can play, and decorating the garden as well as choosing your wardrobe is lovely. The story feels more engaging and has more suspense and intrigue, as well as romance all in a Victorian style reminiscent of Jane Austen. I also appreciate that the difficulty on this game feels toned down a smidge from the previous entry in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why did it take so long for a part 2? I meant to play it for an hour and lost track of time. Great solitaire game. Very challenging. Bring on part 3. 10/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The story sucks but the gameplay is fun enough. Skip every cutscene and you'll like the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It didn't capture me quite as much as the first one, but it was still a delight to play through. These solitaire mechanics aren't quite like normal games, especially with the various jokers and powerups, and the vines and flower pots etc. I wish that buying powerups in the garden had a little more strategy. (maybe one kind of fountain gives one power up, and another a different one, but you could only have one installed?) instead, you just power through the hands and you have enough cash to buy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another solid game from Grey Alien, but I enjoyed this one least by a fair margin out of Ancient Enemy, Shadowhand, and the first Regency Solitaire. Part of that was that after playing Shadowhand and Ancient Enemy, I missed the duel aspect of those games, which raised the excitement and provided a lot more options for RPG'ish elements around gear and consumables. The larger issue I had with RS2, though, was how annoyingly frustrating I often found playing it as a result of card layouts that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoyed the first Regency Solitaire, it is more of that. Hurray! If you haven't played the first one: It's a series of solitaire setups with some mechanics that couldn't be pulled off with a regular deck of cards. You have the option to get permanent power ups as you go to make it easier, as the game introduces more challenging mechanics and layouts and combinations thereof. But if you hit a layout that you just hate, the game gives you leeway to say eff it and move on so you can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →other 2024 games I played: -Dragon Age: the Veilguard (mid, but I have the Dragon Age equivalent of toxoplasmosis so I was compelled by it anyway) -Rise of the Golden Idol (this game owns bones but I haven’t finished it) -Regency Solitaire II (you KNOW I was there on release day, 10/10, no notes)

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you love Bridgerton? Do you like card games? Do you enjoy beautiful artwork? Do you like relaxing music? Well with this game you get all of it and more. I had a lot of fun playing this worthy successor to Regency Solitaire. The storyline is romantic and fitting. All the achievements can be obtained without problems. I would like to thank and commend Grey Alien Games for creating such a flawless gaming experience. You can really feel the love that was put into this. I recommend the game 100%,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Generous solitaire implementation that's not 100% luck-based - you get jokers, you get abilities, you can grind your way out of pesky levels. Casuals should flock and play this. Hardcore solitaire aficionados might feel this is too easy, even in hard mode, especially because the layouts aren't "auteur" solvable puzzles , but randomly generated. I liked it enough to 100% it, anyway, although the romcom story clearly isn't for me. Looking forward to Gray Alien's next solitaire RPG :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is as good as any of the other Grey Alien card games, which is to say it's very, very good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Engaging gameplay with interesting powerups and goals. Lovely Victorian storyline. Atmospheric music. Fine sound effects.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mostly bought this because I follow Jake Birkett on Twitter and I find it fascinating to look into the more casual side of game development. That said, this is a very enjoyable game and well worth a purchase if the subject matter interests you as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game all around. Every time I load this up, I am shocked at how engaging it is, and how much time I spend playing it. I've been playing it exclusively on Steam Deck, and it's great looking, very intuitive, and has lots of wonderful feedback (or as we like to call it in the biz, "the juice"). The power ups are fun, the story is a nice bridge between sessions, and the customization options make it feel fresh.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far so good. if you liked the first one, this is a good follow up!
