I love the Wild West setting and the game itself is fun, but Ive never had a gaming experience as miserable as this due to bugs and bad game design choices. The game is so full of bugs that Ive gotten softlocked due to quest flags not setting properly around a dozen times. The constant bugs which then require you to reload and replay the same exact stuff just for the bug to happen again is infuriating. I just want …

Incredibly promising with a surprisingly well written story. Wish the best of luck to the devs cause the unfinished story mode was still a lot of fun and worth the current price

Wow wow and wow.. I am absolutely blown away by Saloon Simulator. From the very first minute, you can feel the incredible amount of passion and dedication the developers have poured into this project. It’s not just "another simulator"; it’s a living, breathing world that sets a new gold standard for the genre. What sets this game apart is the depth of its storytelling. The ability to form genuine bonds with …

Overall Score: 7/10 Now here’s the deal... if Steam still had a “maybe,” that’s what I would’ve clicked. But since it’s only thumbs up or thumbs down, I leaned positive because I didn’t hate the game. I actually enjoyed it... there are just a few things that held it back for me. Gameplay: The core saloon gameplay is solid. I genuinely had fun and found myself getting into a nice rhythm… until the story kept pulling …

This is a tentative 'Yes'. The story line was really good....a welcome change from most simulators. There definitely feels like a lot of room to grow with this game, which is one of the more solid early release games I've seen. The 'tentative' part is just in the time I've played since completing the available story line (what I would say is the true "simulator" part). Of all the drinks that can be made, I'm getting …
Summarised from 34 of the 196 public posts collected about this game; every point cites the posts behind it ([n] opens the post) and the split is counted from the posts’ own ratings. Updated Oct 13, 2026. How summaries are made
81% of the 183 Steam reviewers we collected recommend Saloon Simulator. The complaint that keeps coming up: frequent bugs and glitches that can cause progress loss. Deal-breaker or nitpick?

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i honestly wanted to give this game a good review but so many times i have lost hours worth of progress due to bugs and glitches. game says its still in early access and its been almost a year since it "released". now normally I'd still give it a positive review but for the cost of the game you expect it to at least be playable and this is not. when i say so many times i mean countless and most times it's due to 3 things, 1, you have already purchased the items before the quest to purchase the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BTW, I'm well aware this is an EA game so I'll be gentle. There's a lot to like about Saloon Simulator but also a lot to dislike. The worst which has also been other player complaints has to be the lighting which absolutely F. sucks and you can barely see anything when operating the saloon at night which happens to be the busiest time. And yes I've tried adjusting contrast and brightness levels and I've tried on both of my monitor and 70" TV and it still sucks so you have to pull your eyeballs…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not recommended yet. While it is a fun game its filled with bugs that will stop progression. Devs are too laid back and in no rush to fix these bugs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really disapointed with this one. I had high hopes during play tests and the devs just ended up releasing the unfinished game after so long and marked it as 'Early Access', which might even mean that's all folks... And what we have is basically an unfinished, playtest demo for 20$... 1/16 STORY 🔲 No story 🔲 Not main aspect 🔲 Bad story 🔲 Average ✅ Good 🔲 It'll replace your life 2/16 GAMEPLAY 🔲 Lifeless / static 🔲 Poor UI ✅ Average 🔲 Good 🔲 Excellent 3/16 DIFFICULTY…

neutral · AI labelView post →This game is just a Demo being sold at £15.89 most of the skills are locked in the early access and most of the content is missing.. there's no point in bringing the game out when most of the content is missing. there's a massive difference between Demo and Early Access when making a video game. a demo is a product that gives you a tiny bit of content in a limited amount and a Early Access gives you way more content then the Demo has but this game is just a Demo being sold as a full priced…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite being out for almost a year now the game has yet to really add much more content than what was in the Demo. In fact in some cases it's gone a step backwards.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is no freedom in the game fist portion is storyline which u only can do what is being told to then the end game is all the employees do everything for u. even at end game the town and saloon is still messy looking. the saloon needs to be closed is u wanna add furniture so basically u got nothing to do. and the customer is few in day time and too many in night, boring...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The devs are onto something here But why in tf do i have to play 6 hours of gameplay and forced story mission one after another just to finish all the missions and suddenly unlock so many mechanics that arent even explained Just randomly get employees, pickpocketing, daily schedules, fighting etc just randomly after finishing all missions tf by that time I played enough to just buy every employee and basically just finished

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, its nice to have a simulator with a story then it has a free roam option at the end. This game should be overwhelmingly positive when its complete. Defo worth a buy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately had the issue as some ppl on the Forums had that you cannot save or autosave anymore after the latest saloon feature (good ol' Lucy joining you) making the game progress unsaveable and the game will not be played any longer. It's honestly lots of fun, even bugs are kinda charming and grow on you (spawning in real thirsty customers straight at the bar) but yeah hope they fix it in the future its very limited play time once you hit the no more saving bug
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DON'T BUY THIS GAME RIGHT NOW!!!! It has potential, but right now it's a buggy mess. I only bought it because the dev told me major bug was fixed, it's not. The story plays fine, but it's not finished. Freeplay is completely broken. The correct payment isn't taken from your safe each week, the hotel rooms don't work, the "ladies" aren't worth using, there's furniture you can't get out of your inventory, the shop sells furniture you can't use it but you don't find that out til you purchase it,…

neutral · AI labelView post →This game froze and lagged so much. Steam refused to give me a refund. Haven't gone back since to reattempt playing. I feel like I was majorly ripped off on this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too many bugs to make it playable. My time froze at 1800 for some reason and I can't close anymore. I can't find a way to fix it, so I'd have to start from scratch. There's also a bunch of small features not available in EA and I don't understand why. Like there's an upgrade for throwing and an upgrade for using a crowbar. The first 3 upgrades of each give you +20% effiency each upgrade, but the last two are greyed out for early access. What's the point? Surely those upgrades also just keep…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A silly but fun game! Silly in the sense of how "simple" it is. Serve the townsfolk with drinks and food, go through the story.. Yet... Everything's a lot of fun! You'll always have the drink recipe available, the food recipe as well, everything is simple to make but engaging either way. The story is okay, not extraordinary but not bad, just okay. Needs some QoL features but it's EA, so I hope they'll make it happen. Free Mode unlocks a lot of things, which is great, a "lot" more of the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do not usually write a review to anything, but this game had recently caught my attention pretty good. And might i say i really love "Western" genre, doesnt matter if its a videogame or a movie! So here's what i loved about this game: 1. Interactive crafting system where you add ingredients by hand (now i know it kinda makes the gameplay slower, but...are you in a hurry? If you gotta go - you gotta go! Just remember to flush before you leave!). Makes you feel like you're actually cooking…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game, but it's riddled with bugs. The workers you acquire get stuck on tasks all the time. I was, for some reason, unable to save my game, and when I reloaded an autosave from earlier in the game day, I somehow had significantly less money than I did originally at that point. To add, once you finish the "story" segment, which is, like others have mentioned, an extremely long tutorial, you simply repeat the same gameplay loop into eternity. There are quite a lot of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great simulator. The theme is really good. The story makes it something more than a simulator with cleared objectives and a good reason for them. The mini games are good. Some stuff to work out still (preview of the furniture shop, everything looks the same). Overall great till end of early access story. For free gameplay after that, still need to play a bit but seems like I don't understand some stuff.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →yeah... yeah its good game. as far i logged 12 hours. im glad i can hire staff. i wish i could hire two barman so queue will run out fast
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I first started playing this game, I expected it to be like the other simulator games where you just do your thing and make money and buy products as you progress through the game. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out this game also had a story line to go through which i enjoyed. As an early access player, I hope for this game to become fully developed because this game honestly has my attention. I do love having a bar tender after completing the chapters that are currently…

neutral · AI labelView post →update on 9/25/26 currently fixed all the problems that was mostly affecting what was making the game "annoying" to play. I've put in 40+ hours so i do i love the game. it's fun, i did not recommend it before however with the new update the game is playable! I can finally fire that good for nothing bartender, ha! I do recommend this game as you can play for hours on end. Still haven't been able to move up in the moonshining business though, hopefully they fix it soon. While the game is fun,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly one of the nicer simulators out there, I can definitely feel the effort from the developer. By itself, bartending mechanic is pretty nice, could even make a modern-version with this mechanic and I feel like it would do well. But the game adds a bunch of other fun things to do as well, such a cooking, cleaning, gambling, decoration which honestly makes it feel very lovely. At first the premise of a story-line this deep with acts and what not felt off-putting, but it actually surprised…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is very limiting, it's the most linear game I have ever seen. I thought it was just a restrictive tutorial that is unskippable, but it is not just the tutorial, the entire gameplay loop is like that. You are told what to do and how to do it, no freedom at all. No wonder they decided on an unskippable tutorial, the tutorial is like 70% of the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If reviews had a neutral option, this would suit it. Game is still very rough around the edges, couple of bugs here and there, early access game classic. It also has functions/minigames, other simulator games, did not have yet. Updates are coming in very slow, but guess releasing new games, in place of refining the old, does that. As for now, there is VERY little to do in this game, the so far story is done in like 7/8 hours. Really hoping this game will get finished, but with the way it…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Saloon Simulator 🤠🔫🍻🥩 So I’ve been playing Saloon Simulator for a bit now, and honestly? The game surprised me. It definitely has its rough edges, but you can feel the potential from the start. The story keeps pulling you in and actually gets more interesting day by day. I didn’t expect to care, The main character, Chayenne, is genuinely unique. He doesn’t feel like a generic “insert cowboy here” protagonist. And the chemistry between him and other characters is actually pretty cool their…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, but a bit too repetitive for me, and it progresses too slowly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay itself is really nice and the pouring drinks, making food and cleaning in the meanwhile is good. however, i stubled upon multiple moments where the questline didnt prompt and i was just doing 3 days of salooning without any progress (only in moneywise). at some point i saw that there was an experimental beta released and tried that... then there there was things to do again (visit casey etc.) till some point i was doing the bootleggers cider where Otto made a doll for practicing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →around 10.6hrs and I 100% the Game (all achievments are story relating tho so, ya know) Id recommend the Game, especially since its coming out of EA in October and has a good amount of Content in it, the Gameplay loop is very addicting and the Story is pretty well written especially for a Sim Game. Are there some Bugs, even softlock bugs? Yes, however the Dev team seems to listen to their Community and to be working on fixing them. Could there be more content? Sure, and there is defo a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I realize this game was released about a year ago, so my review is a bit late. Unfortunately, I found Saloon Simulator to be incredibly boring. My biggest issue is the lack of an engaging storyline. I don't understand why so many developers struggle to create a compelling narrative that keeps players invested. If a game is going to include a story-driven element, it should at least be interesting enough to make players care about what happens next. Instead, the narrative feels shallow and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Chapter 3 is a bug fest with bugs that stop you from saving, using all the saloon rooms, progressing through and actually using the new mechanics (moonshining, courtesans). They either vibe coded it or didn't test it at all. This is after like a year of development.

neutral · AI labelView post →Early Access is like a team trying to pick a good player in the NFL Draft, for every hit there are plenty of misses and so far Saloon Simulator is a hit. The story so far is interesting, you get around 8 hours of it and the bar and kitchen can get busier than a Bar Rescue stress test but the good news is that when you finish the story, you can hire workers so you can sweep the floors and collect rubbish as your workers tend bar, cook the food and serve the people but remember to keep on…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →From it's current early access state, the game have a lot of promise or rather a lot to promise. Here's why: - The story is decent, at the current state it's short but have consequences and reward of your choice. The VA can be better but at least it's not AI. So in the future, the story will have to get longer or deeper (that's what she say) state. - The animation is a bit janky but it's enough for it's state. I'd much rather for the devs to focus on gameplay mechanism (make your own alcohol,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love love LOVING this, I absolutely cannot wait for more, though I do feel like there's a bit of a balancing issue when it comes to difficulty before and after finishing the current main story line. This game has some insane potential and I look forward to future additions to the main story. Also: RIP mustache.

God he does something to me 😏🤨😏 I can't wait for full release 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

A well crafted game, and nice touch of details. Lots to do! Very Enjoyable. It is a simple mid-west bar town game. and ... It is .. VERY FUN! Nice work to the developer! I'm having a great time playing. Thank you. Chapter 3 was just released. AWESOME.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's still in early access so theres only about 6 hours of gameplay available, I spent longer on it due to walking around, collecting cash and playing the mini games. No major bugs. The story is decent enough. Performance is good. Looking forward to the full release.
