I've enjoyed most of Pilgrim Adventure's games, but this one was a miss for me. The pacing is incredibly slow, too slow. Plot developments move at a snail's pace, and so does your character. Even with 'always run' on, your run speed feels more like a walk. And given that this game mostly involves walking around and talking to NPCs, this is a huge problem. The buildings all look the same, and its tricky to …

A really, really good adventure game. Lots of choices, an interesting little sci-fi story, and the writing is solid. It is made in RPGMaker, but there is no combat, just conversations and simple fetch quests - you're not playing this for the gameplay, which is fine, as the writing more than makes up for it. The premise: you're an android sent to this desert planet to serve a team of researchers. For most of the game …

Sentience The Android’s Tale was a genuinely enjoyable narrative driven experience. The story raises a lot of compelling questions about identity and consciousness, and it maintains a strong sense of progression throughout. By the time it reaches its conclusion, everything comes together in a way that leans slightly into the fantastical, but still delivers thought-provoking ideas and a satisfying sense of closure. …

Nice futuristic RPG maker game. You play as a human shaped-like AI gifted with free will.. Pros : Very good plot, interesting storyline if you're into AI, if you wonder the role they should have in the future, the position we should give them towards humans. Philosophical reflexion ahead. These concepts and questions are fully exploited by the game. Not much difficulty if you follow your tasks log, look everywhere and talk to everyone. Plenty of entries from this series have been free giveaways before, n the issues stay super consistent. The whole game feels empty with weak immersion, so its tough to get invested even when the plot tries to be thought provokin. Puzzles have major logic flaws too, u can barely beat em without a walkthru, and it kills player involvement big time.

I gave this game a shot, and while I'm a fan of story driven games, it didn't really captivate me after a few hours of slogging through it. Walking, talking, and making decisions, it's not about the gameplay but the story itself. I wanted to get past the first few hours, but I ended up just getting irritated at playing fetch. The dialogue wasn't all that interesting, the characters are okay at best, the world however was pretty cool -- a sci-fi setting where "androids" revolted against…

To me, this game is a metaphor for corporate life. You play a game of trust, taking sides, fulfilling your duties as you see fit. If you enjoyed The Deed, you will be happy to know the writing in this game is also very juicy. Characters recollect many things that you did / told them and every dialogue choice you make is responded by NPC's like how a real life conversation would flow. To top it off, the game has meaningful philosophical themes which culminate in the multi-endings.

Rory didn’t attack straight away, as he normally would. Something stopped him. Not the look in the creature’s eyes, because it was a game, but … something. #Sentience, for certain, as many things held sentience, but was this, perhaps, sapience? Was there intelligence within the character? #vss365

I don't usually play RPGMaker engine games, but this one is very well made and you can't even tell aside from the production values. The visuals are excellent and the overall concept and execution is good. I found it better to use a guide since there aren't really puzzles and it's more about finding the right person and accomplishing a certain task. There are too many endings and you have to get them all to unlock all the achievements, so I found each ending less impactful as a result. The game…

So, I'm just going to say this is an easier point and click adventure game this is more about the intellectual exploration of artificial intelligence. I have to admit, I really, really liked it, and as of this writing I've unlocked MOST of the endings. There's a lot of discussions and points brought up that are sourced from real world scientists and their talks about A.I. If you aren't super…

Loved it. A bit buggy, froze a couple times and had to load a save because one of the quests wouldn't complete. Also the movement speed was a little slow for my liking. But a fun thought provoking sci-fi with a dozen different endings to choose from. I just had to replay it over and over to get all the endings!

This was quite an interesting point and click story. You take the role of a robot that's been given a complete free will and sent to assist some colonists on a faraway planet on a mission. At first the mission appears trivial, but over time, interesting turns start to happen. I won't go into any details so not to spoil the story, but it is pretty decent, even though the final parts do feel a little cliche to me. Perhaps what will keep you playing are the characters and their interactions,…

In the line of the Space Pilgrim games but darker and with more of your choices affecting the characters around you. Engrossing enough for me to play through the whole thing in basically a single sitting, with an interesting setting that kept me invested to the end. However, most of the roleplaying felt like it had little to no impact on the actual story, and the ending veers straight into Mass Effect 3 levels of choose-your-flavor-of-bad-end garbage. Had lots of potential but was ultimately disappointing. First game from this developer that I think I've actually disliked.

Sentience: The Android's Tale is a platform class game. This game has role playing elements such as a dynamic game world and dynamic story evolution. The game world is comparatively large, The graphics are vertical overhead making it rather undemanding. My old Lenovo T500 has the Core 2 due CPU. I played this on my Dell 3480 with Arc Xe graphics and RTX A500 discrete graphics. Game is very playable.

This is one of the only games I've ever finished and then immediately played through again, making different choices. A lot of games claim to let you make your own choices about how the story will go; I think this one goes further than most in how true that really is. Great script and solid characters, as well.

A boring badly tinkered together video game that fails at every checkbox. The gameplay is menial and tedious - whilst that is supposed to reflect the frontier planet's everyday hardships, the routineness of it all is exceptional: most of the quests (or tasks, that is what they are called in this game) consist of collecting N items (which can be very small, terribly illustrated, and indistinguishable from the background (i.e. non-interactive objects)) or talking to N people with no variation…

I bought a Random Steam Key Advent calendar and this game was by far the best thing I got out of that. You're playing an android in a world where A.I. is programmed to only serve humans (cause there already was a war between those two which the humans won). You, however, are the only sentient android and can make your own desicions, and you're sent to a research site on a desert planet to help the people there. This is more a choice-based game than an adventure, since the tasks you're doing…

Needs a dash button since your character walks painfully slow, but that aside, it's pretty good. I did feel like I was taking on the role of an android and it was pretty well written too. Sentience: The Android's Tale is a short enjoyable little game. Very straight forward but with some choices that have real consequences. I especially likes the ethics in this game. A good game makes you think and helps you evolve personally. This is one of those titles, although due to the very short game time of roughly 8 hours I don't think it would be worth full price. Developer Pilgrim Adventures scores positively again with this title. They have a knack for creating games that are laid back, yet very enthralling story-wise. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this. I wished they would make more games like this one. It mixes elements of a sci-fi flavoured visual novel, with an RPG-like feel to it (mostly because of the graphics and the user interface). The story is well done, and logical enough. There's a healthy mix of mystery regarding technology, higher…

Interesting adventure game with good writing and interesting NPCs. The only downside of this game are the limitations of the RPG Maker engine and the poor graphics it brings with it. My rating 7/10, a recommandation for everyone that likes a good narative experience.
