Honestly the game isn't that bad. Obviously the graphics, UI and mechanics are dated, but it does what it's supposed to. You get placeable defenses, weapons, consumables, and ammo to purchase after every wave to enable you to murder all of the next wave. Just as bland as the non HD version yet in todays gaming market of half assed UE5 live service slop i have to rate it highly. The game actually works. It does not waste your time. It does not nickel and dime you. There is no political messaging. You get what you pay for: zombies and defences, again. In HD. $0.00 well spent.

Might be better if there was a tutorial, since being thrown together with random people and no idea what to do doesn't really work that great. There is a chat, but who responds to random people nowadays? Playing solo is even more bland.

The weapon variety is decent, but the repetitive survival loop and clunky gunplay mean it gets stale after a couple of hours. Grab it on a steep sale if you need some cheap, brainless zombie shooting with friends.

Guns don't feel all that great to shoot, difficulty ramps up too quickly to build up a decent defense, co-op and solo mode are both just kinda bland, the game is like eating a plain bowl of oatmeal, you'll likely get bored within an hour. If you want a better version of a similar concept go drop a dollar on Nation Red you'll thank me later it's a much better zombie survival experience.

Progression isn't really existent. There is only one map that again is fairly plain. There are other games that are just like this that do it better. It would have benefited from more enemy variety, stronger customization, and more interesting environments instead of relying on the same familiar routine. But as a paid game with $4 base price, I don't recommend it, unless you plan to play with your friends. I tried playing solo, but it got boring quickly. There are no major issue, although both UI/UX and weapon balance could be improved, especially when buying items between nights.

The multiplayer is surprisingly active despite being an indie game, and there's a lot of replay value. Achievements in the game can be quite frustrating to get as some of the weapon specific achievements are a massive pain (specifically the laser and sniper rifle ones).
